The tour was great. The Rainbow mountain was worth the hike. Elisban was an excellent guide and Alex a great driver.

We did 3 private guided tours with this company. I had been emailing with the company and was very impressed with their communication and professionalism. All my questions were answered, everything was clear. First, Machu Picchu: guide picked us up at hotel, had our bus tickets. It was great to just be able to follow him since with over 5,000 people entering every day, it can get quite crowded and hectic. Our guide was excellent; took photos of us and explained everything. When it started to rain and we decided to cut the tour short, we all went to breakfast and he shared more information about the area with us. He was great! Second tour was in Cuzco: tour of the city plus Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly; lunch was included at a great restaurant. Third tour was with same guide the next day: to Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain. Long ride up to 16,200 feet, views were breathtaking. Overall, highly recommend this company. I am a travel agent with over 40 years in the industry, and rarely have I dealt with a tour company so professional and organized.
This was a superb experience. Alex, my guide was right on time for pickup and the drive was smooth. On reaching Palcoyo Mountain he was great in navigating the hike and was okay with my pace. On reaching the mountain he took great photos. He was friendly, considerate and went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. Highly appreciated and recommended.
Excellent experience, picked up on time and they brought us water and a snack bag. Long full da. Our guide Ellis was knowledgeable and conscientious to our needs. Two of us wanted to go a bit extra up a steep potion of the trail that was past the normal top. 16,000 plus. He took us there and it was epic! Crowds were very low and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves on the way back.
Elis our guide and Alexis our driver were very professional, friendly and accommodating. They made sure we were safe and comfortable on a fairly challenging hike to 5000 m altitude
Best value for the money so far. Excellent timing and knowledge of the area. The guide even brought along oxygen if we needed it
A tough walk to the Rainbow mountain summit, but the experience was well worth it. Our guide Alex was friendly, funny and helpful and runs a smooth operation.
Alex our guide, and Alex our driver (different people) were amazing, kinda d super patient with our kids and family. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide Alex is absolutely fantastic. He’s super kind and patient, and he took our health very seriously. In the beginning, he let us try some local bread of Cusco and even gave us snack bags, which came in handy and is incredibly generous. During the hike, he was very caring to my family, especially towards my daughter. He let her use the oxygen mask, gave her a coca leaf, and even helped her walk down from the peak. He took the hike at my family’s pace and never rushed us. When we got down from the mountain, the driver, also named Alex, had already prepared for us hot towels, and Alex, the tour guide, even asked us if we wanted any tea or other drinks and for a stool ready for us to get in the van easier. The restaurant was also amazing and incredibly clean. The food is of amazing quality and delicious. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend these two gentlemen.
At 8:30, long after most tourists had departed for Rainbow Mountain, Ellisvan and Juan picked us up at our hotel and drove us through the crazy Cusco traffic, making it look easy. Along the way, we stopped so Elisvan could buy some of the prize winning bread from a vendor. Then he shared it family style. We passed through villages and farms where the people were dressed in their traditional clothes. At the emptying parking lot, we piled out and headed up. The timing was excellent because the crowds were gone. It was the hardest 3.2 km walk we'd ever done. Elisvan was solicitous and ended up carrying one of our packs. At the top, when we hit the spectacular view, he took time to photograph all of us and then the descent began. It was easier than going up, but still hard. There was Muna tea waiting for us at the van and then the drive down. We stopped at a restaurant where we had preordered our dinner and when we pulled in, we were served a delicious meal immediately. For the final portion of the journey, Elisvan cranked up the tunes and played us some of his favourites. I would recommend this trip and guide for anyone who wants to push their limits to see a natural wonder of the world.
Fabulous experience, made my holiday Elisvan and Alex simply the best Views were stunning
Elisvan and Alex were incredible guides to this remarkable spot. The photos don't do it justice and there's no better way to go than with Peru private tours! No waking up at 4am and we had the place almost to ourselves. They took pictures for us and even brought props and great snacks and blankets and water. They truly thought of everything and went above and beyond at every turn. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
I very much enjoyed the experience, from walking with the alpacas to the pachamama, and the cultural dancing in traditional costumes.
Elisvan & Jover where excellent!!! Trip was excellent!!! Good music knowledge!!! Very friendly!!!! The should get a raise in pay !!!! :)
Julio Cesar was a great guide, very knowledgeable, safe and enjoyable personality. We had 4 beautiful alpacas with us who were well cared for by 2 local women who accompanied them. Gorgeous views! Hike was harder than expected in the thin air but there was no rush and only 1 other family on the mountain at the same time. Highly recommend!
Our day trip to Palcoyo Mountain was a perfect booking. We appreciated not having a 4am start, and actually ended up being the only 2 on our trip. Sure, the drive to and from is incredibly long, but there is so much to see and take in, it does go quickly. John was our guide and he told us all about the highlands region and the agriculture. The hike up to the top had me short of breath, but John was patient, and walking with my llama friend Sebastian helped. John insisted on giving me a few puffs of oxygen when a headache hit at the top, so he definitely was on top of his job. The lunch stop was late, but it was delicious, and we were offered many snacks beforehand.
Great tour! Nature in it’s maximum expression! Elisvan our guide 5/5 plis! Andrés the driver highly responsible. Highly recommended!!
What an amazing day. Very spontaneously we planned a full day tour to Palcoyo Mountain, the so called alternative rainbow mountain. Man, were we lucky. Everything was really professional from the initial contact to getting back to our hotel. We were picked up in the morning at 7am, which is at least two hours later than most (or all) of the other tours start. The effects of this? Additional sleep and we bet the crowds. When we arrived at the place, most other tours already left or were about to leave, so the place felt almost private. Our driver Hugo and our guide Nayda did such a good job. They were always acting professionally and at the same time bringing in their amazing personality, knowledge and humor. We experienced a wonderful day, including pick up at the hotel, snacks in the morning, a great time at the Palcoyo, including a part of the hike with llama and alpaca, a great lunch afterwards and a safe transfer back to the hotel. My full recommendation!!!
We stumbled on this tour by accident. We were originally supposed to go to the other rainbow mountain yesterday but I had horrible altitude sickness and we had to cancel. We were trying to find something a little less strenuous to do. The trip was breathtaking! It’s about a 4hr drive each way, about half on dirt roads. I’m a little nervous about mountain roads but Marco was a great driver and I wasn’t worried at all! The views were breathtaking! At normal altitude the trek wouldn’t be bad but at nearly 16000 feet, everything is hard! However, it was very doable even if you aren’t in amazing shape. Nayda was a wonderful guide (along with our llama Hilario) and we took our time and took lots of rests breaks to enjoy the view. She also provided great information on the people and culture of the area. There were no crowds there either!!! We saw a handful of people each way and never had to wait on people to pass to get pics. It has been my favorite excursion in Peru yet!
This tour was absolutely amazing. Nayda was a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional tour guide who was with us every step of the way. Marco drove us safely there and back, even on curvy roads, we were completely comfortable. The mountain tour gave us plenty of photo opportunities and we were able to travel with a Hilario, the llama, most of the way adding to the amazing experience. We can not recommend this tour enough and wish to sincerely thank Nayda for the best day!!!
An adventure of a lifetime! Edwin's insights into the local culture and landscape made the tour educational and fascinating. Bernabe navigated the winding roads with ease, allowing us to relax and soak in the stunning views. This tour exceeded all expectations.
This was a fantastic 1 day excursion from Cusco! From start to finish it was wonderfully well organised and communication was great. Abigail was extremely helpful when I was organising the trip- communication was clear and timely, and very accommodating. Our guide Nayda was very friendly and knowledgeable- she clearly had a great relationship with the locals and can speak Quechua as well as flawless English. Our driver Pedro was very nice as well and handled the treacherous mountain roads like a pro! We felt safe the whole time. We were the only tourists on the mountain and had fantastic views. We also didn't have to leave Cusco stupidly early like most of the Rainbow Mountain tours do- we were collected from our hotel at 7am. The walk is very gentle and not steep at all, but at 5000 metres you get very breathless with minimal exertion, but Nayda was very good and setting a gentle pace and checking regularly that we were ok. She also carried oxygen with her at all times, though thankfully we didn't need it! The alpaca and llama we walked with seemed healthy and well cared for, ad were accompanied by their owner for the walk who was also very friendly. We also stopped off for a nice lunch on the way home which Nayda joined us for, so it was nice getting to know her. I honestly can't recommend this experience highly enough. It couldn't have been better!
That it was canceled and never told me until I found out. I haven’t have my refund. I want your company to be more responsible and call by the home when a trip is canceled.
Wow, that’s about sums it up. Palcoyo Mountain is beautiful, our guide was great. The driver was very skilled to navigate the road up to the mountain. It was a long trip from Cusco, but well worth it. The typical Peruvian restaurant that we eat was very good too.
Wonderful tour with excellent guide and few people! No need to wake up too early, it covers exactly what you would expect of a visit to Peru Andean mountains!
The guide John and the driver Marco were both very reliable. They professionally dealt with the sudden adverse weather and road traffic in the mountains.Allowing me to safely enjoy the trip to Palcoyo.John was also very thoughtful, as he arranged my lunch with the restaurant to accommodate my medical needs.I highly recommend them. Both my Cusco-based guide John, and the driver, Marco, were extremely reliable. They handled the sudden adverse weather conditions in the mountains and the road traffic professionally, allowing me to enjoy my trip to Palcoyo safely and with peace of mind. We had a wonderful day with our guide Ronald and our driver. And we drove a lot… Nevertheless, the tour was completely worth it. Ronald always had plenty of information ready, knows the best photo spots, and of course also takes the best photos. It was also pleasant that we had the Rainbow Mountains almost to ourselves, since most tours start earlier. The landscape was simply dreamlike. Also worth highlighting is the high-quality and very delicious lunch on the way back. In addition, there were snacks and water for in between. Oxygen and a pulse oximeter for safety were also available.
The option for Palcoyo was excellent because it was less exhausting. The schedule offered by the company was perfect, as we arrived at the mountain after the crowd that goes early. The company offers a kit with chocolate, bullets, cereal bar and mineral water. The guide Caesar was fantastic, not only in historical and geological information, but also for his kindness. He offered us flowering water during the climb and coca tea when we were on top. The lunch included in the price was in Meson Andino and was a 3-time menu (entry, main dish and dessert), with all delicious items and good quality. I recommend the company and the guide Caesar.
