Take a journey throughout the world of Pisco while preparing the most renowned Pisco cocktails. Step 1: Let’s Get Pisco (20 Minutes) After a brief presentation and introduction each participant will prepare a Pisco Sour. Step 2: Delving into the Culture of Alcohol (15 Minutes) While we enjoy our first cocktail, the Pisco specialist will provide information about the history and concepts of Pisco. Step 3: A Summer Drink (15 Minutes) There’s no first without a second, which is why we will now begin our second cocktail here: the refreshing Pisco-based Chilcano. Step 4: Bottoms Up (10 Minutes) Our diabolic bartender will provide a farewell shot to each guest in order to liven them up even more before heading back to their hotel, or, out to begin a fun evening in the city. This activity is 100% participatory.

Our group of nine enjoyed a wonderful private pisco-making tour on our first night in Cusco. We loved being able to choose the flavors for our pisco sours, and we really appreciated all the tips, fun facts, and cultural insights shared throughout the experience. It was the perfect way to kick off our trip—highly recommend!

This was a fun, engaging activity for anyone age 18 and up. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to learn more about and enjoy Cusco’s signature liquor. Fernando was a fabulous host, and we enjoyed making our own drinks to the taste and strength (or weakness) desired. Be sure to eat dinner first, and have ready transportation home, as you will have the opportunity to sample several of your own creations in a short period of time.

The experience was super fun for me and my extended family! Cristina was perfect and gave us a fun and informative session on Pisco! She cares deeply about providing a great experience and educating others on Peruvian gastronomy, even forwarding traditional Peruvian recipes to us after the class! This was a great way to bond with family and an excellent opportunity to learn about authentic Pisco Sours and Chilcanos!

This class is so worth it, just don’t go on your first day in Cusco. I had a case of soroche (altitude sickness) and wasn’t able to enjoy the wonderful beverages, but I have the recipes and experience to take a little bit of Cusco home with me and have a nostalgic moment in a few weeks of a great vacation!!! I thought I knew a lot about pisco before from my semester in Chile, but Peruvian Pisco is serious business.
Our class was amazing! We got the opportunity to learn about the history of Pisco and make two classic Peruvian cocktails with an opportunity to get creative with flavored shots! One of my favorite experiences during my trip, would highly recommend. Christina was wonderful!

Honestly, this class was the highlight of my time in Cusco. Jose and Christian made us feel incredibly welcomed from the moment we walked through the door. They were highly knowledgeable about both the history of pisco and the history of Peru, adding a fascinating layer to the experience. Between the laughs, the ~multiple~ pisco sours, and their passion for Peruvian cuisine, this class is a one of a kind experience I cannot recommend enough. You truly feel like family after.
Going in I wasn’t sure, but within a couple of minutes I knew that this evening would be a lot of fun. Jose’s style of instruction was entertaining, but he made sure we all understood the key points. By the end of the evening there had been good food and drinks for all.
