Your adventure to Machu Picchu begins with a meeting point pick-up between 4:30 am and 4:45 am, setting off for a train journey filled with stunning vistas.
En route, you'll be captivated by the Inca landscape featuring snow-capped peaks, lush sub-tropical jungles, and ancient Inca agricultural terraces. The train brings you to Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, where your guide will be waiting to escort you on a 25-minute bus ride to the Machu Picchu citadel.
Upon arrival, you'll embark on a 3-hour guided tour of the site. Your guide will enlighten you on Inca history and culture, highlighting the citadel's key areas. Post-tour, you'll have leisure time to wander and discover Machu Picchu at your own pace. Back in Aguas Calientes, you have the option to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Your return journey commences with a train ride back to Ollantaytambo, departing either at 16:22 pm. or 6:10pm From there, depending on the availability, bus will ensure your smooth transfer back to meeting point, concluding your memorable excursion.

This experience was one of my favorite experiences throughout my trip to Peru. Tge excursion provider guided us every step of the way, via WhatsApp and every connection was a breeze. We only recommend to visitors to bring repellent, sunscreen and comfortable shoes.

A wonderful tour! As it was my first time to Peru, I was a little worried about how I would navigate to Machu Picchu as hiking was not our preferred option but this company made the journey so easy and seamless! Starting from booking, they were quick to respond and organized our site tickets easily. Pickup and additional info was shared promptly and you didn’t have to ask for more clarity. Their communication is top tier! Pickup from our hotel and drop off was seamless with a couple of well experienced drivers. As promised, someone was waiting with a sign with our names at both the drop off and pick up points. Everyone was so friendly as well! The most outstanding part though, was our guide Jesus. He met us promptly and took us on an amazing tour of Circuit 3. He was very knowledgeable and shared lovely facts about Machu Picchu and the Inca empire. He also knew when to slow down or pause as the altitude started to affect us a little. He was extremely friendly and courteous and made our Machu Picchu visit hands down, an amazing journey.

Isao, our tour guide from Peru Hikers was an amazing guide for Circuits 1 and 3. He called us the night before to prepare for the tour and gave us great insights about Machu Picchu. Not to mention, he was also an AMAZING photographer helping our family get great photos. After the tour he made sure to help us call in a dinner order to be delivered to our train station so that we can eat it on the train back to our hotel.

We were so lucky so be assigned Isao as our Machu Picchu tour guide on Friday 9/4. He was super fun, knowledgeable, charismatic and made the tour super memorable! We booked two circuits, 1 and 3 to get the best views for pictures and history knowledge. Isao knew all the best picture spots and was very patient helping us get all the best pictures. He recommended really good food places and helped us order food for the train ride back to Cusco. He was also very patient with our 12 year old and answered all her questions, his answers and energy really encouraged her to ask more which made her really engaged in this once in a lifetime tour! Highly recommend booking tours with Peru hikes! They handled every single step of the trip for us and we just had to be ready at our hotel door! Super streamlined! Our day trip to Machu Picchu was an unbelievable experience. Our guide Isao was super friendly and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to accommodate my wife’s knee injury. We left Cusco after being picked up in front of our hotel ar 5 am. Peru Hikers did a fabulous job with this tour. The ride to the train station took an hour and 45 minutes. The driver directed us to our train. The train station had coffee and bathrooms, which we accessed before boarding. The train ride was great, very picturesque and comfortable. At the disembarkment, we were met by someone who had our name on a sign. They introduced us to our tour guide, Isao, who rode with us and a larger group of hikers in a bus for about 25 minutes to where the hike began. Isao took us on Circuit 2. The other guide, Jesus, took another couple on Circuit 1. Isao was extremely personable and knowledgeable throughout the tour. He took care to match our pace, took pictures of us with our phones, and answered all questions while showing us the ruins and explaining the history of the Inca and the Spanish conquerors. After the tour, we met up with the Circuit 1 couple and rode back to the train station. Isao recommended a restaurant for lunch and ended up dining with us. We had wonderful Peruvian dishes and local specialty drinks. Afterwards we had time to browse in shops and take more pictures. Machu Picchu is a special place and our day was made extraordinary by the experience with Peru Hikers. We would not hesitate to book with them again.

The people at this organisation were massively helpful from start to finish. We booked the full day Machu Picchu Tour but did it over two days booking or own accommodation. I had a lot of queries and they were always on hand with expert help and advice. They supported me with decisions and were really understanding and patient. The driver who collected us and the one who took us back were both lovely, the Peru Rail journey was fantastic and Machu Picchu its self was incredible. A big shout out to our guide Isao who was really knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and was massively helpful. He made some fantastic recommendations of things to do in Aguas Calientes and we loved spending time with him. All in all this was a fabulous trip and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company. I was a member of a lot of Machu Picchu advice groups on Facebook and I have seen countless people being let down by disreputable companies. Please do yourself a favour and book with these guys, we thought it was worth every penny to have the peace of mind that this special was in very good hands.
Isao was a great tour guide for Machu Piccho- very informative, educational, and caring with those in our party who are elderly. He went above and beyond with getting my group to the timed tour of Macchu Picchu and with the train/bus transportation- especially when one of our party was late due to flight issues! For a family of six, this was an excellent experience. We upgraded to the Vistadome Observatory train and the views were amazing. Staff were courteous, responsive, and attentive. Picked us up from our villa in Lamay and took us home after. Didn’t have to worry about anything other than enjoying Machu Picchu! Definitely recommend!

Logistics handled well, we felt guided and taken care of throughout the day. Isao was a great guide, calling us the night before to confirm details, leading us around Machu Picchu Pueblo and accompanying us on the bus to/from Machu Picchu itself. Lizandro our guide at Machu Picchu gave us an almost three-hour tour, had answers to all our questions and a good sense of humor. Both Isao and Lizandro were accommodating of my 71-year old father. For the train, we were put on Peru Rail and found it very comfortable. It is a long and complicated day with a lot of moving parts, but communication and explanation were excellent.
