It was a great tour. Samuel was amazing with great knowledge and also our own personal photographer. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful visit to Machu Picchu with our guide Miguel! He was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and made the experience even more special. We thoroughly enjoyed discovering this incredible place with him. Highly recommended!
We had a great experience on our Circuit 3 tour with our tour guide Samuel. He is very professional and knowledgeable, and he explained everything in detail, using picture books to show examples of what he was describing, which really helped everything make sense. The tour moved at our pace and we never felt rushed. It started out rainy and cloudy, but Samuel was patient, and once it cleared up he took great pictures of us. He was punctual and well organized, making sure we got to our bus and the Machu Picchu entrance on time. We did not have copies of our tickets, but thankfully he had them on his phone, which saved us. The logistics of the whole trip were great too. The company communicated with me throughout all the planning via WhatsApp, transportation was perfectly on time, and the drivers were easy to find at every pickup spot. Even with a little rain, we got to see everything we wanted. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Samuel, for your knowledge, kindness, and professionalism.
For one was given an itinerary and nothing lined up at all what kind of vehicle would be picking me up where I know who to look for did not get no reply. Finally got picked up and took to another place gentlemen explaining how everything was supposed to be that he got out of the vehicle a person that couldn’t speak no English and was praying all the way that he was driving so we didn’t get no information about what we were seeing after getting to the train station was handed off to another person after getting into Monty. Pichu was given two hours to eat lunch and walk around. There was no place really to sit other than inside the sun met up with the actual tour guide through Machu Picchu got very dirty bus that smelt like feet. Had a blast walking through Machu Picchu and our tour guide answer so many questions get back on had about 45 minutes before the train was supposed to leave. It was late instead of an hour and a half going back on the training was more like two hours met up with the van driver again for another 2 Hour Dr. back the Cusco
An unforgettable day trip. Circuit 1 gives you the classic panoramic viewpoint over the entire Machu Picchu citadel, and seeing it spread out below you is simply breathtaking. The journey itself was a highlight. The train to Machu Picchu follows the river through spectacular scenery, with live music, entertainment, and snacks served along the way. The bus ride up from the station is a short 20 minutes of winding hairpin turns that is genuinely fun. One tip: bring bug spray if you plan to linger at the viewpoint, because the bugs are relentless. The return train is plainer, with no food or entertainment, but that is a small tradeoff. The operator handled every leg of the logistics from Cusco seamlessly. Highly recommended.
Great day trip out of Cusco to Machu Picchu. Personally felt the price was well worth it as it saved me from multiple bookings & stress! This tour books everything for you: from pick-up to & from your hotel, train tickets, your entry tickets, your bus tickets, and a 2 hour knowledgeable tour guide. Loved our experience with the Inca Rail- we had a great window seat, came with a beverage and snack, some historical information, and an open air cart with music on the way there. Our tour guide Sam met us with our tickets when we got off the train and take a bus to the entrance. We did circuit one which I felt was worth it. It was an easier trek up with great views (this circuit does not let you down into the site). Sam was a very knowledgeable guide and gave us a lot of great history information. He also was a pro with photos & took the best video for us!!! ( he knows what he is doing!) There is time for lunch and shopping before you head back on the train back to your driver. There is some traffic getting into Cusco, so it took all most two hours to get back- recommend restroom and snacks before you head back. Group size for our tour was 5 in total. Overall, great day and totally worth the amazing experience!!
Getting to Machu Pichu has been one of my life goals and I did it! Gabrielle was very professional and knowledgeable of the history of this remarkable place. The climb was challenging and the well timed breaks were perfect. As soon as I felt like I need to stop it was break time. This full day tour on Circuit 2 is a must do for anyone visiting Cusco. I highly recommend this tour.
Our day went without a hitch. Well organised from pick up to drop off. Our guide, Samuel, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He looked after us extremely well throughout our tour, taking photos and explaining all about Machupicchu. At the end of our tour Samuel accompanied us back to our train pick up in Agues Calientes. Well worth booking.
The driver that picked me up was punctual. MIT gave me a list of detailed instructions. Everything went as planned except for the train being delayed but totally not there fault. The tour guide was phenomenal. Was really informative and was also a great photographer. They were very professional and did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend...
Roy was an excellent guide, knew everything and was genuinely interested e compromised to informe and talk about the region and the history of the place, going beyond the usual treatment. 100% recommend ! Gave 3 star for costs because the train is way to expansive for the length and quality of the train it self
We had the most amazing day. Everything was so well organised! Our guide Miguel was great! Miguel is very informative about Machu Picchu and gave us the best tour around circuit 2.
This is a great tour for anyone wanting to see Machu Picchu in a single day without the stress of going directly to the Peruvian gov't website for tickets, moving hotels to Ollantaytambo or Aguas Calientes, or for anyone who doesn't want to have to deal with coordinating the train and bus tickets there. MachuPicchu Inka Trek took care of all of that for us, and it allowed us to keep our hotel in Cusco without checking out and moving to yet another along the way. I even wrote them after I booked our tour requesting Circuit 2, and they were able to obtain this for us no problem! Miguel, our guide for inside of Machu Picchu, was also very knowledgeable and very kind, letting us pause along the way and helping us take great photos! The only critique I have is that the train and bus connection points were slightly awkward to navigate. Once picked up from our hotel, we were given our various tickets, and it might have actually been easier for us to follow simply what our train and bus tickets said rather than look for folks from the tour agency (who did not have lanyards or any other identifying clothing, by the way). We also had a different contact person inside of Aguas Calientes than the rest of the group in our tour, which we didn't understand, but it all worked out. I would suggest some identifying clothing or lanyards and better communication for the train and bus pick up points for the tour group, but other than that, it was a very low stress, super easy way to see Machu Picchu that was easier than getting tickets ourselves!
We had such a great time on this excursion! From pick up to drop off, everything went according to plan and we had absolutely no issues. I would definitely do this tour again but we learned so much, we may try to book everything independently and stay closer to Machu Picchu so we can spend more time at the shops and whatnot. We do want to do a different route at Machu Picchu but am glad this tour took us on what I think is the probably the best one! Although the price seems a bit high outside looking in, I can see why - a lot went into this very very long day and the logistics and gas alone carry this kind of price tag! The only things I might say have nothing to do with this company, I just want the train folks to clean the panoramic windows perhaps more often, lol. And the bathrooms... Woof!
I booked with Jisa Adventure 3 tours while in Cusco and they all 3 were excellent. The pick up at my hotel went well and on time, the tours included excellent breakfast + lunch and that was a super plus, the restaurants were super good and the guides were super, always taking care of all details, giving excellent information and helping with the pictures... I was really pleased with Jisa Adventure and will recommend it always.
Great tour. Circuit 1B is really good for views.
Amazing tour! Views were great and the guide, Miguel, was so knowledgeable and open to talking and sharing his experience and expertise. There is someone to help you every step of the way and they really seem to care if you have a good time.
Fantastisk tur, må opplevelsen , gode guider og bra opplegg skryt til alle som var involvert i denne opplevelsen Fantastic trip—a must-do experience. Great guides and a well-organized program; kudos to everyone involved in this experience.
This was a perfect day! It was very well organized and was on time. The car driver took us to the train station and ensured we got on the right train. When we got off the train, a guide was waiting for us to assist us to the bus. Samuel, our guide at Machu Picchu was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and even with the rain, he patiently answered questions and offered wonderful details. He guided us back to the bus, and when we got off the bus, a guide took us to the train station. When we got off the train, a driver was waiting to take us back to Cusco. I was very impressed with the professionalism. We had time to eat breakfast before the bus took us to MP, then we had time for lunch before the return trip.
Me and a group of friends went to visit Machu Picchu and it was amazing! Everything we taken care of for us and we had a great time!
Excellent trip. Everything was well planned from start to finish. Our guide Roy was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.
We had the best time on this trip! Everything was well coordinated and communicated. Miguel our guide was phenomenal in explaining to us the rich history which really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic trip with Miguel as our guide. Everything was seamless, from the organized pick up time, the train station, time to wander and eat in Aguas Calientes, then the ride up the moutain. Despite it being incredibly rainy, we still got lots of wonderful photos. Miguel as also our photographer along with a wealth of information about the people who lived at Machu Picchu. This trip was worth every single dollar spent. It was fantastic and certainly something everyone should do. Thank you again Miguel!
Miguel, our tour guide, made this bucket list experience even better. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Circuit 2!
This experience in Machu Picchu was amazing! My tour guide, Miguel, was very knowledgeable of the history of this site & took nice photos for me. I loved how comfortable the ride to Machu Picchu was in the bus and in the train. All the admission fees were included in the total price of this tour. I wish we had a little more time to roam around inside Machu Picchu, but we had plenty of time in Aguascalientes to eat and buy souvenirs.
Great tour with amazing tour guides. Explained the history very well and gave enough time to take our photos! We only had tickets to circuit 1 however, the company contacted us that they could purchase tickets to circuit 3 for us too! This allowed us to explore both the ruins and panoramic view. Organization was flawless from start to finish.
Trip advisor tour was great the organization was good But you get nervous as no one explains in the beginning what to expect But the trip itself needs a lot of clarifications If you say 6 am tour that means you will be picked up at 2:30 am from your hotel The entrance and expense of the tour is far higher but the facilities are not good Roads from Cusco to train station are broken It is better not to stay in Cusco actually stay in agua Cliente you will not deal with altitude sickness as much as in Cusco We have visited other places like Petra facilities are much better worth the cost
We started early in the morning; a van picked us up at the hotel. The driver dropped us off at the train station. From here we followed people dressed in traditional inca dress to our train car. All the while they were playing music and it was very nice. The train ride had incredible views of the mountains and the river below. Next, we waited in line for the bus to go to the top of the mountain where Machu Picchu is located. Here is the best part, we met Roy our tour guide who was assigned to just me and my wife. A private tour, we were very lucky because he answered everything we could think of. The place is magical, from the views to the buildings, to what used to be there. Roy explained how everything was built, what each building was used for and why. He showed us how the inca trail came thru and told us why they had to leave when the Spanish came. We did circuit 2 and the day was perfect for this. I think it is amazing that it was not rediscovered until 1911. I can understand why it is one of the new 7 wonders of the world and the number one reason we came to Peru.
Our guide, Miguel, was excellent! Machu Picchu is incredible, of course. Miguel did a great job of pacing the hike to include time for walking, time for resting, time for history, and plenty of time for photos. If I were only rating our experience with the Tour Guide, my rating would be five stars. Unfortunately our experience on the train was far from ideal. My husband and I were separated by an entire carriage for the panoramic train ride from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. The panoramic train ride should have been the highlight of our journey to Machu Picchu, but instead I spent my ride sharing a 4-seat with a family of three that did not share a language with me and were clearly unhappy about sharing their space with a stranger. My husband's experience in a separate train car was similar. We were seated next to one another for the train ride back, but by then it is pitch black outside and we were exhausted and no longer experiencing excitement. At this price point, I honestly cannot believe that I would ever be separated from my travel partner. If I had known that this was even a possibility, I would have booked through a different company. Aside from the disappointment of not getting to enjoy the panoramic train, the tour was long but seeing Machu Picchu was worth it.
The tour was amazing! Miguel was very kind and knowledgeable. He’s the best photographer. Highly recommend for solo travelers.
Guide Miguel was super knowledgeable and amazing. Very friendly. Also took amazing photos of everyone! Good communication from start of the tour to ending of the tour. Every person was there waiting at each point for pickup.
Smooth process from pickup to drop off at hotel. It was an incredible experience.
Visiting Mahu Picchu is a great experience, however, in July is more expensive because many tourists arrive or visit Machu Picchu, I would recommend you to visit it in February because is more affordable. For instance, getting the ticket in order to arrive AGUAS CALIENTES, You can Even bargain, I might be interesting to buy tickets which is 60 dollars and 120 dollars go and return. In addition to this, sometimes, there are some offers if you buy for 2 o 3 people, they reduce the cost. For food, you can choose Alpaca steak, chicken Peruvian grilled and Peruvian wines or Pisco Sour. However, there are some restaurants where the food are cheaper and delicious, those restaurants are near the mountains. Comparing the prices, in February the food might cost 30 soles (less than 11 dollars), but the restaurants that I'm referring cost 12 soles (less than 5 dollars). Those restaurants cook different Peruvian food, not only ceviche or Lomo saltado, there many food that you taste before.
What an amazing day! Miguel is a fantastic guide full of knowledge and we particularly enjoyed his visuals. He was amazing at taking pictures for us. We were collected at 4:30am from our hotel and our tour wasn’t until 2pm. We felt that it was unnecessary to wait 3 hours and 40 minutes at the bottom. This was the only negative to the day and something I would make sure that you question the company about prior to booking. Bring small change if you want to use the toilets before you enter. All the staff were amazing and kind!
This was a great (and tiring) tour. Our guide at Machu Picchu was very informative and went beyond your usual facts. He brought a new perspective and challenged us to think about our trek differently, which I appreciated. He is also an amazing photographer! The transportations to and from were smooth. Only critique is that between legs the meet up point and point of contact changes and it can get confusing as you navigate on your own. So some WhatsApp messages and calls asking “where are you?” Otherwise 10/10 experience and the people
Our amazing guide, Miguel really made sure that we have the best experience at Machu Picchu, his expertise and knowledge was really appreciated, would recommend
Amazing from start to finish, Miguel was the best guide I could ask for to navigate me through what has been a dream of mine forever; to see Machu Picchu. I will never forget this day!
The guides were the strongest part of this experience, but the organization and communication left a lot to be desired. Communication beforehand was frustrating. I repeatedly told the company that I was the WhatsApp point of contact and asked them to send the tickets and information directly to me. Instead, they continued contacting another member of our group who had very limited service, even after both of us asked them to contact me instead. We also paid extra for the Vistadome train and booked months in advance, yet our group was split up on the scenic daytime journey. This was not just because of our group size, as a couple traveling together was also seated separately (they booked Machupicchu Inka Trek as well). We were told to ask the train staff to switch seats, but the train was full, so nothing could be done. It was disappointing to pay more for the Vistadome experience and then not be able to enjoy it together. We were finally seated together on the return train, when it was dark. Another important thing to know is the Machu Picchu circuits. We were assigned Circuit 1, the upper terrace route. At the time we booked, there was no option to select a different circuit. I notice that the listing now offers Circuit 1B or 3C at an additional charge, which is interesting and worth noting because that choice was not available to us when we booked. If you are specifically hoping for the classic Circuit 2 experience, I would not assume you will receive it through this tour. I highly suggest looking at the pictures of circuits before making a decision, since no matter what (if you pay extra or not for the Ciruit 1B/3C) you will NOT get a guarantee for the classic 2 route. The guides, however, were excellent. Ronny was informative and attentive, and he even tracked us down after we accidentally went the wrong direction following the bus drop-off. Their effort and organization made the overall experience much better, and we were very thankful for them. Machu Picchu itself was incredible, but for such an expensive, once-in-a-lifetime excursion, the company needs to improve its communication, seat planning, and transparency about exactly what guests are purchasing.
4:30am pick up, Would be nice to have a guide at the train stations to help a little, but other than that everything was pretty cool, 1 and done type trip,
Overall great experience. Well-organised schedule, professional guide, and friendly driver. A bit overpriced but still recommended.
Fantastic day, the team looked after us from start to finish, always on hand to make sure we understood where we needed to be and what time, Sam was very knowledgeable about Machu Picchu awesome day !
A really well planned excursion. All the information on pick up was clear with a detailed itinerary for the day. There was a wildfire on the line which caused big delays but the company helped to ensure we get there and rearranged our transport and tickets to ensure we didn’t miss out on anything. We had a 2 hour tour at macchu picchu and the guide was very knowledgeable. We had a great experience thank you :)
Great experience. The team contacted me with instructions. 2 days before. Organized pick up and throughput during the day. Miguel, our guide was knowledgeable, kind and much aware of picture needs and he did the timekeeping so we could enjoy Pachamama.
Miguel was such an amazing tour guide . I learned a lot as a solo traveler and he made me feel very welcomed along with others on the tour. Definitely worth the money and the scenery was beautiful
This tour was perfectly scheduled. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave is a good understanding of this ancient civilization. 100% recommended
Once in a lifetime visit, with a great English speaking guide, and luckily great weather. Only difficulties were bus-train and train to bus transfers where you’re handed off to different “guides”. Sometimes that was confusing. Also, the bus ride from hotel to train station is a bit rough/bumpy, so be prepared!
Well organised tour. On time morning pick up in Cusco, seamless connection to train, and bus. All tickets provided. Roily was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide at Machu Picchu.
We are independent travelers and thought about organizing transport and a tour of Machu PIcchu on our own, but after studying this for a while, we decided a package tour would be a better choice, so after shopping around, we settled on Viator. Booking the tour was pretty easy, and we got good information from the local tour operators (via WhatsApp—if you don’t have that app, you should when you are traveling in S. America). As communicated, a van picked us up at our hotel bright and early in the day. We then picked up the other tour members in town, then headed for Ollantaytembo where we would transfer to the train. The roads were okay, but had a number of landslide detours, so we were really glad to not be driving ourselves. We got to the station with just enough time, so headed right to our coach. The view from the train was super, but have to admit that the panorama windows on the roof weren’t super useful—not sure it was worth the extra money. We did have a bit of a show enroute to our next stop, but only food for sale (I thought we got snacks on that part of the trip). We arrived at Aguas Calientes on time, were met by a local guide (Miguel?) who conducted us to our bus up the hill (2,000 feet up) on a road that was probably barely wide enough for a single car, but questionable for a bus and REALLY not wide enough for two busses to pass LOL. We arrived at Machu Picchu just before our scheduled entry time and were introduced to our tour guide, Roilly or “Roy” who turned out to be a great tour guide (as well as a mountain guide and a mountain climber, so we had a lot in common). The two of us had Roy to ourselves so we had a private tour. Sadly as we arrived at MP, my wife started to not feel well (not altitude) but Roy took that in stride and was very patient and kind to her as we took a LOT of breaks. We had requested Circuit 2, but when we arrived, we were issued tickets for Circuit 1, so a little disappointed, but we labored up the hill to the viewpoint. As we at the viewpoint, Roy asked us some questions and checked and found out that we had been ticketed for both Circuits 1 (the viewpoint) and 2 (the settlement) so he took us back down and then out on Circuit 2 and into the old town—the experience we had wanted. We walked the site, viewing the amazing buildings, seeing llamas walking around, and even a chinchilla hanging out. Finally we were out of time (and needed a bathroom) so it was time to leave. Roy escorted us to the exit, helped us to board the bus, and even recommended a place for dinner. Roy is nothing less than OUTSTANDING. We boarded our train to leave, with a 2 hour ride in the dark to Ollantaytembo, then met our driver who put us on the van for a 90 minute ride to Cusco, arriving around 11 pm—about a 17 hour day. The trip was hard with a lot of connections, but it was a spectacular tour experience!

It’s kind of hard to write one single review for my entire experience because there were some parts that were better than others. This 5 star review is NOT my experience with this specific tour company, but only about my amazing tour guide (once we arrived at Machu Picchu) named, MIGUEL. Miguel is really great at his job! He speaks English very well so I understood everything he said. Miguel is informative and educated us on the Inca Empire. He carries around a book with him to show us visual pictures as he was explaining everything to us. I’m not someone who is really physically fit nor am I an avid hiker. But this entire experience felt very comfortable to me. Miguel was very patient, and we had plenty of time in between each section, to rest and take amazing photos. I did not feel rushed at all. We moved at a very comfortable pace. We had so much time to soak in the unreal experience. Miguel took the MOST AMAZING photos and videos! I cannot be happier with my photos. I’m so impressed with his knowledge and skills to take Instagram worthy pictures. He was instructing us where to stand, how to pose, and took his time taking plenty of pics for everyone in our group. Miguel has a great attitude! I highly highly recommend Miguel to be your guide at Machu Picchu. That was one of the best experiences ever in Perú. One that I will never forget. Even after we said our goodbyes, Miguel kindly messaged me on WhatsApp to make sure that our group got onto the train. Miguel, if you see this review, THANK YOU SO MUCH! You took the best photos that I can remember and cherish forever! You’re amazing!
Miguel was a really great guide. My family really enjoyed it
