Horseback Riding Tour To The Devil's Balcony From Cusco

We had a wonderful time visiting the Devil’s Balcony on horseback, and our guide, Holger, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience enjoyable and comfortable for us. We don’t have much experience riding horses, but Holger paired us with two lovely horses that were perfect for us, which made us feel much more at ease. We also really appreciated that his mum and dad rode with us—they were both so lovely and made the experience even more special. Thank you, Holger, for such a memorable experience! We would definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent tour! My wife and I are not riders for over 50 years. We found this tour and decided we would give it a try. We requested a private tour with gentle horses and that’s what was delivered to us.

This was a great way to end our 10-day trip to Peru. Pick up was easy and on time from our hotel near the Cusco city center. The drive to the ranch was short and pretty. Our hosts were gracious, the horses were well training trail horses, the scenery was beautiful. All in all, this was a worthwhile event and investment.

The experience was really good. The horses behaved really well and the trail is impressive. Sometimes the horses trotted so you may want to consider that if you're a true beginner.

This was a really beautiful ride into the mountains in Sacsayhuaman - Holger made us feel really relaxed and comfortable from the start, the horses were really calm and well-behaved, and the views were absolutely stunning along the way. It was a great balance of movement, stops to see local sights, and learning about local history and landscapes! The family farm where we started and ended the ride was also a real haven of tranquillity. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a bit of adventure, a horse-riding experience, and a way to see the countryside around Cusco!

This was a great experience! As someone who has never ridden a horse before this was very beginner-friendly! The guides are very hands on and match you up with horses based on your riding ability. Despite the rain, we still had a wonderful time and the views of the mountains and Cusco were wonderful.

Great experience to get away from the crowds even for beginner riders. By the end of the tour we felt comfortable enough to try some galloping. The staff were friendly and the horses were very well trained.

We were picked up promptly from our hotel, and arrived and quickly were mounted on 4 lovely horses that were comfortable and friendly. They seemed well-cared for, and throughout the ride they were easy to ride and seemed happy. The guide provided information about Devil's Balcony, and answered all the questions we had. It was a great tour and way to experience the countryside.

It was a fine trip. Easy, convenient and friendly pick up. Guide and ride were fine. What we expected - nothing more nothing less. It was very nice to be outside the city and see some ruins and have some pretty mountain vistas. Good add to the trip if you’ve done the more impressive highlights already. A decent filler.

Really good tour on horseback in the hills above Cusco. The guide was excellent and everything went very smoothly from start to finish. The horses were very good for inexperienced riders.

The trail to get to Devil's Balcony was beautiful and took us through Eucalyptus trees and great views of Cusco. Our guide Holger was informative and added interesting detail along the way. All made for a great morning.

The tour was really well organized from Pick Up through drop off. Horses are healthy and the tour itself was great. The guide was very knowledgeable and took the time to go over a lot. I highly recommend it to anyone.

This was a great experience. A perfect amount of riding time and time to see Incan ruins and sacred places. Our tour guide was great and spoke great English. I definitely recommend. Also if you’re advanced, you’re allowed to gallop your horses which was so fun.

As said by other reviewers, this is an amazing experience to get into the countryside outside Cusco and have an amazing time riding knowledgeable and energetic horses. The stops and hikes to the sites were well timed and unforgettable parts of the experience. I will be back!

I have been a rider for more than 25 years and I had one of my best experiences abroad here ! Horses are well-treated and happy. My horse Manolo was very dynamic and friendly. My guide, Holger, had been very kind and professional : he taught me a lot about the Peruvian Paso and the Inca culture. He made me discover amazing places where I would never have been by myself. I took a private tour and we galoped quite a lot, I really enjoyed myself ! I definitely recommend this place 100% !!

Amazing experience! Horses are very well taken care of. Guide speaks perfect English and tells all sorts of interesting stuff about the environment, stables, country, birds, etc. Beautiful route with lots of different birds, cuy, other horses, lama's, dogs, etc. Amazing day!

The horseback riding tour was excellent. Pick up from the hotel was smooth, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the horses well-cared for and easy to ride. The views are spectacular and it is a great way to get a different perspective on Cusco and see some Inca ruins. Highly recommend.

Incredible ride, lovely operation. The horses are small, strong Peruvian gated horses and well cared for. It was clear that Holger and Lucho, his father, love their animals. Holger talked us through each Inka site on our ride and we had opportunities to see multiple ruins and travel across various country. I'm an experienced rider and Holger allowed me the opportunity to gallop a bit at the end, while he stayed back with the others. I don't mind sticking with the group if necessary but I really appreciated the opportunity to have some fun on horseback. It was a fantastic way to start my time in Cusco — I only wish I'd had time for a longer experience!

An excellent guide who was very knowledgeable Horses who were gentle but not docile. Fun. But not scary. Scenery stunning. Amazing views the whole way. Recommend this tour for sure!

The Tour was great. The horses were in good shape and the guide really nice:) The experience is very cool and you get to see a lot of nice places. I go on a lot of horseback riding tours when I travel and this was one of my favourites. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained the history of the sites very clearly. My horse was lovely and we got to trot and even canter a bit. Highly recommend this tour.

This was a terrific way to wrap up our week in Cusco. Holger tells great stories about the area, and answers questions with patience and more in depth information. His horses are clearly well-loved and cared for, and know their jobs extremely well! There is a lot of climbing up and down hills, and some tight spaces in the caverns, but it never felt overly strenuous.

This tour was awesome! They provide transportation to and from the ranch where there are, alongside the horses, friendly farm dogs and sweet children. The horses look well-cared for. It's not absolutely necessary, but I would recommend long pants because the trails go through dense, thorny shrubs at times that can brush up against your legs. Sunglasses would also be nice because sometimes the dust on the trail gets kicked up.

Best experience in Peru. Very wonderful people who take good care of their animals and have a wonderful experience, even for a very advanced rider.

We were a family of 4, with 2 children under 12. The ride was a lot of fun for our different skill levels. The guides took great care in making sure we were all comfortable on the horses. The scenery was amazing. The guides were informative and patient. Out of all of the Cusco tours we did, this was our favorite.

This tour was fantastic! They picked me up from my AirBNB, which other tours do t do. They showed up early and took us straight there. Holger and staff were awesome and the tour exceeded our expectations. It was a great mix of riding and walking through caverns and sites. They had horses available for all abilities and we even got to go at a trot and gallop a couple of times. It was a highlight of our 2-week trip. Thank you for an amazing experience!

This trip was amazing! Jorge was very knowledgeable about the area and the Inca ruins! He had answers for all of our questions and was very good with the horses! It was my first time riding a horse and I felt very comfortable and had so much fun! 10/10 experience! His english was also very good for those unfamiliar with spanish!
