We had such a great time on this tour! Despite booking late the night before, our guide, Rody (nicknamed “Condor”), kindly came all the way from outside the city to meet us. As I was travelling from outside Peru and didn’t have WhatsApp, I wasn’t able to communicate with the guide in advance, so I was a little nervous until we actually met. I would recommend having WhatsApp set up before booking this tour to make communication easier. Cusco is such a charming city, full of history and character, and perfect for exploring on foot. Rody was not only very knowledgeable about the city’s history and culture, but also friendly, approachable, and very attentive to our needs. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed discovering the city with him. Highly recommended!.

Itinerary
We begin at the dazzling main square, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Surrounded by the majestic Cusco Cathedral and the Church of the Society of Jesus, this historic plaza is the heart of the city’s cultural and architectural heritage. We’ll also point out important sites such as the Inka Museum, setting the stage for an immersive journey through Cusco’s past.
We’ll explore this significant Inca site, believed to be the birthplace of Pachacutec, the ninth ruler of the Inca Empire and a key architect of its expansion and greatness.
We’ll visit the world-famous 12-angled stone, a masterpiece of Inca engineering and precision. Nearby, we’ll also discover the lesser-known 13-angled stone-equally impressive and a testament to the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Inca civilization.
We continue to the charming San Blas neighborhood, widely known as the artisans’ quarter. This historic area was once home to Cusco’s most renowned sculptors and woodcarvers. Today, it is filled with art workshops, galleries, and fine handicraft shops that preserve the city’s artistic legacy.
We’ll visit this ancient ceremonial huaca, an important sacred site that formed part of the Inca religious and ritual system, offering insight into their spiritual worldview.
We’ll discover a hidden architectural gem of Cusco-an elegant example of colonial hydraulic engineering that continues to impress with its design and historical significance.
This picturesque street is one of Cusco’s most charming corners. Highly photogenic, it beautifully blends Inca, colonial, and modern influences, making it a perfect spot to appreciate the city’s layered history.
We finish at one of the best panoramic viewpoints in Cusco. Located next to the San Cristóbal Church-built over an Inca palace-this spot offers breathtaking views of the entire city, combining history, scenery, and a deep sense of Andean spirituality.

Informativ experience with tastings
Our guide met us at 9:30 am and said he was waiting for a few other people to join the group. We waited 20 min or so and he introduced us to another guide. He said the other people in the group we were supposed to be in needed a Spanish tour and since we needed an English tour that we should join to “free city tour” that was 2 hours long instead of a half day city tour. Instead of being in a small group we were one of 12 people in the feee tour that was half as long and we were still charged for the half day tour.
They never showed up for the tour! Don’t use these guys because they’re totally useless
The guide never showed up. I contacted her twice and she didn't know why I was messaging her. Trip advisor messed it up
Rody is a local Cusco-an and have deep knowledge and love of the city. The walk tour is nice, fun and informative - would recommend for anyone who’s interested to know the city and he also a very good photographer..!
The tour was great. Rody was recommended to me by a mutual friend, and it was a fantastic recommendation. Rody was a very knowledgeable guide, being well connected around Cusco with plenty of stall owners and street vendors. He took us around town for about 2.5h and explained both historical (Inca and colonial) and current developments in Cuzco. He regularly invited us into stalls of his friends but it never felt like you were forced to actually buy something and rather were encouraged to return later on. His knowledge and jokes made this one of the best walking tours i’ve ever experienced! Finishing on a great Maracuja Sour was a fantastic ending as well!
Great tour. I booked it to help get acclimated to the elevation, but we took away some great information about Incan construction and history. Recommended!
jose (nickname the condor) was very cool and had a lot of fun facts! highly recommended :)
What a great way to get to know Cusco with a half day walking tour. Condor led us through the market where we tried the local fruits and learned about the types of Peruvian food. From there, we learned about the architecture and found the Puma and Serpent right next to a great souvenir shop (which gives a Condor discount). We ended the tour with a taste of Chicha Morada. If you are coming to Cusco for the first time, you must take this tour which will educate and familarize you with the area.
Excellent walking tour! Our guide Condor was amazing! Very knowledgeable and spoke very good english! We got to try lots of different fruits, chocolates and a pisco sour. Would definitely recommend!
I had a great tour with Rody! He is very knowledgeable, passionate about Cusco and fun. He was able to answer all my questions and through his contacts in the city, I was able to try some local specialties during the tour. Can only recommend! :))
Had a great experience with this walking tour! Out guide was knowledgeable and we learned a lot. He also gave recommendations on where to go after the tour. Took about 2 hours. Don't forget to tip your guide!
We did a walking tour with Condor on a whim, didn’t even book it ahead! We had a great time learning about the history of Cusco, and getting insider tips on where to eat and what to do. Great to do right when you arrive to Cusco to get a lay of the land. He had great English, and the pace kept things interesting.
Great tour! Very informative and friendly guide
I took the tour with Condor the same day I got here and it was the perfect intro to the area. I loved getting some history during the tour as well as touring the san pedro market. We got to taste a variety of peruvian specialities and everything was so delicious! Condor is amazing and you can tell he really loves doing these tours and is passionate about the history of Cusco. Although the tour is free, he graciously accepts a tip/donation, which I believe is well deserved.
Condor was great! Thank you for the tour around Cusco 😊
Great tour had such a good time!
A great walking tour in Cusco. Jose is very knowledgable about the inca history of Cusco and will point out many things that could otherwise go unnoticed. He speaks Quechua and can also teach you a little bit as you walk. He has recommendations for various attractions and even takes you for some Peruvian chocolate tasting. ¡Gracias de nuevo amigo!
Worth every minute of it! Condor was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly with amazing English. We got taken to local shops to taste chocolate, take photos with Alpaca and free Pisco. He took amazing photos of us too. This was my first walking tour and I was blown away. Thank you so much Condor!!
Rody is a great tour guide he is very friendly and has much information about Cusco. Great experience , would recommend to a friend!
Perfect historic centre tour for the afternoon. Condor was knowledgeable, kind, and fun. 100% recommended. Got a chance to try many authentic snacks for free.
Great informative tour! Friendly and accommodating and even in the rain! Knows everyone in town! I suggest this tour for when you get to
This was a great free walking tour! We saw so much of the city and learned a lot about the Incan history of the city. He also gave us tons of recommendations for the area.
We had a really nice tour with Rody. He explained a lot of background and answered all our questions. He also changed the route a bit to include more spaces fitting to our questions. I was surprised about the little treats that were included, learned a lot and had a lot of fun as well. Definitely recommend!
Rody was a great guide. High energy and loads of interesting information on the town. Perfect thing to do on the first day.
Great walking tour of the city centre in Cusco, Rody was really nice and clear in explaining about the city and history of the country! Highly recommended!!
Great walking tour, explored lots of Cusco that you wouldn’t see on your own. Rody is so nice and fun. Definitely recommend
It was amazing! Very interesting and funny! Our guide Condor showed us interesting corners and explained a lot! We were allowed to try food and drinks.
Condor was a brilliant guide taking us to the market and sampling a variety of food. He taught us about pre-Inca, Inca and colonial history of Cusco, with strong knowledge of all, particularly pointing out the various architecture. We also tried cacao, pisco sour and much more! I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Condor!
I had a great time on the walking tour with Condor! It was lovely to sample some of the local fruit and drink. Condor is awesome!
Best tour with Condor around Cusco! We were able to try some local fruits such as chirimoya and lucuma. Don’t forget the free pisco sour in the end!
Rody (Condor) had so much to tell about Cusco and his enthusiasm is infectious. Definitely check it out. Thank you for everything!

The condor made us do a good tour of the most important sites of the city. He explained us a bit about the history and culture of inka. He brought us to some shops.
Great tour to see the different parts. Condor was fun, enthusiastic and kept things informative and entertaining. Included some great views that we would have missed and some extras along the way.
A great tour with condor he’s really kind, speak perfectly English and explain really well!!! Strongly recommended!!!
Really great walking tour with Condor! He had great information about Cusco and Inca history. Free fruit, free souvenir and also a free piece sour! Really enjoyed.
The guide was really friendly and answered all the questions we had. We had a chance to taste some fruit and pisco sour. Definitely recommend!
Excellent tour! Roxy (Condor) was an amazing guide, very kind and helpful sharing great stories about Cusco and its history, and good tips! As well as bringing us around the main spots, trying fruit chocolates etc! It was really interesting and a great introduction to Cusco! I recommend a lot :)
I really enjoyed the tour and Condor (as he calls himself) was very pleasant to listen to. He was very friendly and he gave us some fruit to try at the market and a free pisco sour, which is a nice welcome to Cusco. The only thing is that I felt he went a bit fast, maybe that’s the pace he has to go in because there is just too little time. And also Cusco is a bit hectic so sometimes i missed some of the information, but that’s something to keep in mind. Overall good experience, thanks Condor.
The walking tour with Condor was amazing! In just two hours, he really gives you a great introduction to Cusco. Starting of with trying some delicious local fruits on the market, more food and restaurant recommendations, over historical and cultural insights of the inca culture, architecture to a pisco sour in the end, he really has it all covered! Condor is such a fun, lovely and knowledgeable guide who is really passionate about his work, highly recommend going with him!!
The walking tour with Rody was really fun. We visited lot's of beautiful places in Cusco and it was a great mix of cultural background information and chill conversations. Would definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed the walking tour with Rody, it was very fun but also interesting! I would totally recommend to everyone :)
The best walking tour with the friendliest local guide! Super informative but also fun, and he helped us out with plans for the next few days as well! Overall surpassed all our expectations - definitely recommended!
Condora was super friendly! We went for lunch and walked around while learning about the history. Would definitely recommend! He has so many great tips!
Excellent time with a passionate guide who loves his job ! Lots of tastings, magnificent views, stories about the city and the Inca people, it's a must to do!!
Condór is a very knowledgeable guide and very energetic and passionate about Inca's and the broader history of Cusco. He was very considerate as well and when we were walking up steep streets he stopped halfway to tell something so that we could catch our breath. Our tour included free chocolate and pisco. Comes highly recommended!
