Full Day Tour To Machu Picchu From Cusco

My wife and I booked a Machu Picchu day trip from Cusco, and it was hands down the highlight of our entire trip to Peru—in fact, we had planned our whole itinerary around this day! We booked about a month and a half in advance, and the communication from the agency was spot on. They sent us key reminders a week prior, followed by all the final details the day before. Everything ran like clockwork. The shuttle picked us up right on time in the morning and drove us to the Ollantaytambo station. They had already printed out all our tickets (train, bus, and Machu Picchu entrance), which saved us a lot of hassle. The train ride through the Sacred Valley was fantastic—stunning scenery, local music, and great service on board. At every transfer point, there was always a representative waiting to guide us to the next step, so we never felt lost. Once we arrived at the site, our guide Samu took over. He gave us an incredible 2-hour tour, sharing the history, showing us visual references, and giving us plenty of time for photos without rushing. By the way, we were very lucky, despite the forecast of rain, whole day was beautiful, bright and sunny. It completely exceeded our expectations and was worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Samuel was the best tour guide. He answered all the questions and had patience for all of us. He was also very clear with directions when picking us up and taking us to the best spots for photos. I would definitely recommend Samuel for friends and family Overall, he made the visit to Machu Picchu enjoyable, educational, and full of memories!

Machu Picchu was absolutely stunning and our guide Samu was both informative and caring. He took the pace needed for the group and educated us on what is known about this stunning wonder of the world. However, it is a huge day from Cusco. The roads are atrocious and our private vehicle provided for the return journey was a death trap - no seat belts and an obvious fuel leak. The train journey was a real experience - being paraded through the streets to arrive at the station was certainly unique!! Overall a day not for the faint hearted but an incredible experience.

Our day went without a hitch. Well organised from pick up to drop off. Our guide, Samuel, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He looked after us extremely well throughout our tour, taking photos and explaining all about Machupicchu. At the end of our tour Samuel accompanied us back to our train pick up in Agues Calientes. Well worth booking.

The views were great, but our guide Samu was equally impressive. He was so knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped me personally on the stairs I was struggling with. If you could request him, do it! He is also great at taking pictures too!!!

I had a phenomenal experience. They were professional and punctual. It was worth every dollar. My tour guide Samuel was very knowledgeable and was also a great photographer. He was always aware of the time. He did a fantastic job and made sure I made it to the train station on time.

This tour was a truly memorable experience! The team provided excellent communication throughout. Gabrielle our guide was knowledgeable and continuously explained everything. He answered all of our questions and showed photos so we fully understood what he was saying, the only negative was the train station upon returning from Mach Pichu. The station was very crowded and the station provided minimal to no communication of delays etc. Other than that everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this tour Circuit 2 to see everything.

What a wonderful experience! Everything went to plan! The best part of our experience was Samuel who was the best guide ever! Samuel was so knowledgeable and he took the time to explain the history and architecture of this beautiful and spiritual site…thanks for a wonderful experience!!

I paid for the Vistadome train ride for 4 of us (me and my 3 friends), which was about 40 dollars more per person (160 total). When I arrived at the train station to get on the train, I realized that we were put on the normal train. I had to message the agency about it and they decided to give us a refund of 24.00 per person. 1. If I didn't point out that they put us on the normal train, we might not have gotten our refund. 2. We only got 24.00 per person refund instead of the extra 40.00 viator charged us per person.

The day was fantastic. We were picked up at our hotel and everything throughout the whole day was well structured. Our bus driver to the train station was very friendly. When we arrived at destination city we were greeted by the tour staff and given clear and specific instructions. Our tour guide Samuel met us at machu pichu and gave us a fantastic tour. He was very knowledgeable and didn't rush through. He also took some great pictures of us. Would highly recommend this tour.

I’m a real person (Doing this for my 31st birthday) who started solo traveling about a year ago, and this was my trip to Machu Picchu. Honestly, the whole experience was way easier than I expected. The tour company pretty much spoon-feeds you through the entire process. From the initial pickup to getting to Machu Picchu and back, everything was organized and explained along the way, so I never really felt like I was on my own trying to figure everything out. The only part that I found genuinely difficult was the chaos at the train station. It can be pretty hectic and confusing, especially if you don’t know Spanish. If you do speak Spanish, you’ll definitely have an easier time navigating that part. That said, once you get through the station, everything becomes pretty straightforward. Samuel, the tour guide on-site at Machu Picchu, was great. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience much more enjoyable. The pickup driver and the initial tour leader were also great and made sure everything went smoothly. Overall, if you’re traveling solo and are nervous about doing Machu Picchu on your own, I’d definitely say this is a very easy way to do it. The company handles most of the logistics for you, so you can focus on actually enjoying Machu Picchu instead of stressing about how to get from one place to the next.

Well worth the price for the entire experience. Picked us up early in the AM and dropped us back to our hotel. The train ride was great and the entire Machu Picchu experience was great. The only part needing more attention was at aguas calientes. Guide needed to keep us more informed.

It was a wonderful experience! Machu Picchu was one of my top bucket list items and this trip fulfilled it for me. Our guide, Samuel was so helpful and patient. He stayed in touch with us the entire time prior to our meeting in Machu Picchu. He was very knowledgeable and provided great insights about Machu Picchu’s history. I would totally recommend.

This was my 4th trip to Machu Pichu and I was fairly disappointed. We flew 9hrs from the US, took a plane from Lima to Cusco, then took a 2hr bus ride that was bumpy as hell, then a two hour train ride, then the bus ride up the mountain.... all of this to be told that we only had 2:30 hours to walk around circuit 1. We could walk around the ruins themselves really because we only had circuit 1 tickets and not circuit 2... I wish the tour company had been much more communicative about all of the restrictions and limitations ahead of time. They didn't offer to get tickets for circuit 1 &2, they didn't even mention how the circuit system worked. I believe that if is in the best interest of these tour companies to explain this system to the customer as soon as the tickets are purchased rather than the day before, or the day of the tour.

We just came back for our trip. Everything was perfect and smooth since the moment we were picked up at our hotel until the drop off When we arrived to Aguas Calientes, Miguel our tour guide Miguel was waiting for us. Miguel was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, super nice, patient and an excellent photographer. He explained everything about the beautiful Machu Picchu and made us feel entertained. We really enjoyed and recommend this trip.

Went to Machu Picchu with my boyfriend but also made a new friend through the tour we booked since the 3 of us were together from start to finish. We had a fabulous tour guide, Noé. Not only was he knowledgeable about the history of the grounds but he was able to share his own personal experiences. Additionally, he was our part-time photographer and was able to help with the poses! My boyfriend & I got engaged and he gave us the most beautiful authentic blessing. Noé really made the experience that much better, considering the views are to die for =)

The guys from the tour company were really helpful and professional. They wait until the middle of the night for us because the train was delayed.

The information about our day long trip was incorrect. There was no itinerary sent to me. There was a start time 6 AM (it was correct) and an end time of 5-6 PM...it was actually 10 PM. I thought we signed up for a tour route 2 as I read in the description, we were assigned route 1 on arrival at the tour bus. This tour had a van, a bus and a train leg to it. There were coordinators for each connection all were generally helpful except in the bus connection at Aguas calientes this person left us at a bridge and told us to return to the bridge in 1.50 hours. She didn't return to the bridge she sat below the bridge near the line up for the bus load zone for Machu Pichu...we spotted her there with luck. It was a long wait for boarding the busses to Machu Pichu and during the long wait your support staff person sat there while we were asked frequently if we had a tour guide. It was a nightmare for me; tourist trap!!! And not what was sold through your website.

This tour puts together all the segments needed to get to see one of the wonders of the world. It's very practical to have everything in one pack and not have to worry about doing it yourself. Still, you need to be prepared for anything, giving all the moving parts. You may get rain and delays, or not the circuit of Machu Picchu you expected. Overall, it is all part of the journey. The drivers were great, especially considering traffic and the conditions of the roads. The panoramic train is a great ride on the way to Machu Picchu, but on the way back, it is already dark, so there's not much to do. In our case, it was delayed on the way back, so we got back to Cusco an hour later than expected. All guides and drivers kept an eye on us and kept us safe the whole time. We had a lot of rain before we went up to Machu Picchu, but it all cleared when we got there. Our guide Rory was very knowledgeable and insightful during our visit to Machu Picchu and took great photos and videos for us that gathered a lot of compliments. I strongly recommend this tour and company to see an amazing place that connects you with nature and history. Thank you for this incredible experience!

Great experience, all the transport was taken care of brilliantly! Picked me up at 7:45am and was back home by 11pm! Didn’t have to lift a finger! Sam was also a great guide, super knowledgeable and friendly, and a great photographer! Well worth the money!

We were led and informed the entire time. Everyone was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. Our guides were very experienced, versed in the history and we walked away with a wealth of knowledge and beautiful memories!

Organised day before by wat app , pick up on time, transfer fairly smooth once you understand you have to meet guides at different location during transport. My guide in Michu Picchu Miguel Ángel was very knowledgeable and helped take lots if photos for the day. Overall great day

The whole day was planned out meticulously, meaning we did not have to worry about timings, transport, fees and any other logistics. It’s quite a journey from Cusco, so it really helped to had these details worked out as our Spanish is not great! The tour guide, Miguel was highly knowledgeable about the history of Peru, answering any questions the group had. His passion for his country was evident. Without a doubt, his photography was the highlight. Miguel knew all the best spots, and was more than happy to take photos of all the small groups within the tour. It was a fantastic day from start to finish!

This tour is a total lie. First and foremost, this is NOT a private tour for “your group.” This is a van of 12 people. There is NOT a professional guide with you at all times. Most of the trip you are are your own to make it from bus to train to bus. They will not help you whatsoever if you become ill or hurt. In fact they lied to us about being able to help us when I told them I was ill. They could have cared less about their passengers. Please please do not book with them.

The best part of this tour was the guide, Miguel Angel. He was informative, and kind. However, really dissapointed this tour did not state what circuit you pay for. We ended up doing circuit 1 which does not give you access to rhe main site. It ia super important to provide info on what circuit you are paying for, so that you may make an informed decision.

We got a thorough briefing at the start of the day from Rony about how it would all work which was great. Someone waiting for us at every point to take us to the next. Roy our guide inside the site was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the place to life. There was a problem with our return train tickets that the team was able to promptly address and fix. The team had very good customer service.

Amazing day trip to Machu Picchu! All logistics with transportation went smoothly - connecting car, minibus, train and another minibus. Even though I was staying outside of downtown Cusco, I was collected exactly on time and dropped off back at my accommodation late in the evening. It was nice that the journey there was broken up with a stop at Mirador Racchi and a chance to get food at Aguas Calientes. My guide Roy was brilliant - he was very informative, interesting and made every effort to ensure that each person in the group got great photos to capture their visit. The tour of the site lasted around 2.5hrs. The company pushed back out start time slightly to allow a better chance of clouds clearing, as it was rainy season, and the views were stunning - with no cloud cover during the tour. It’s a long day so bring snacks and water - and most importantly your passport, as this is needed to gain access to the site. Thanks to Rony for organising everything and to Roy for a wonderful tour.
