It was a wonderful trip. Pick up was right on time, blanket given during the morning ride for naps, breakfast and lunch included were great, and Jehomar was amazing the entire time. Cant go wrong with booking this tour.

Itinerary
Your adventure begins with an early pickup at your hotel in Cusco. From there, we'll travel to the Mollepata area, a trip of approximately 3.5 hours. Along the way, we'll stop for breakfast at a cozy restaurant before continuing on to the trailhead.
Before reaching the trailhead, we'll stop in Mollepata for breakfast at a cozy restaurant.
Before starting the hike, our guide will provide important information about the route along with some recommendations so you can enjoy the activity with peace of mind. The hike begins at approximately 3,800 meters above sea level and continues to Humantay Lagoon, located at around 4,200 meters in altitude. For this reason, we take the route at a relaxed pace, respecting each traveler's rhythm. Upon reaching the lagoon, you'll be able to admire its turquoise-blue waters, surrounded by the Andes mountains. Our guide will explain the lagoon's origin and its cultural significance for Andean communities. Afterward, you'll have free time to take in the scenery, snap photos, and enjoy the surroundings. As an alternative, part of the route can be done on horseback, subject to availability and an additional fee. After the visit, we'll head back to the parking area to board the vehicle and continue on to lunch. The walk back to the parking area takes approximately 45 minutes.
After a day of hiking and discovery, it will be time to enjoy a buffet lunch made with local ingredients. We've selected a restaurant where you can sample different flavors of Peruvian cuisine. After lunch, we'll travel back toward Cusco. Once in the city, you can choose to be dropped off at your hotel or at the Plaza de Armas, depending on the service logistics. After wrapping up all the activities, we'll return to Cusco, with drop-off at your accommodation.

Cool experience. Roberto made our trip something to rember. Excellent guide and Excellent hike.
A very good trip. We had a 4am start from Cusco, this meant when we climbed up to the lake it was quite quiet. After about 45 minutes it got much busier and as we walked down there were lots more people coming up
If you’re reading reviews before booking a private tour, I hope this saves you both time and money. I booked a private Humantay Lake tour with this business for late June. The total cost was $450 for two people (and that didn’t even include the guide’s tip). First, don’t assume you have to book online. Once you’re in Cusco, you’ll find plenty of locals offering private tours, and you can negotiate. The cheapest quote I found was around $150, so this company is definitely overpriced. Now for my experience: When I booked, I messaged them that I was staying in the Sacred Valley and not Cusco and if pickup is available there. They confirmed that this was fine and that they would pick us up from our hotel at 4:00 a.m. Then, at 8:00 p.m. the night before the tour (just seven hours before pickup) they suddenly messaged me saying I needed to be at a plaza in Cusco by 3:50 a.m. When I reminded them that my hotel was in the Sacred Valley and showed them our previous messages, they claimed it had been a “miscommunication” and told me to cancel the tour. This was a short trip with every day carefully planned, so imagine having your tour canceled at the last minute and being expected to figure everything out on your own. Fortunately, my hotel was able to arrange another private tour on short notice. It included a private guide, private driver, hotel pickup at 7:00 a.m., and lunch—for $250 total, including the tip! Save your money and book elsewhere. This company was expensive, unprofessional, and careless with their customers’ time.
It’s good! Mila is very nice. She found my lost bag and give it back to me. Riding horse is amazing.
Wow! We had a brilliant day - exhausting but brilliant. With a super early start and a bumpy two hour ride to breakfast, we started to wonder if we had made the right choice. Breakfast was great and a good opportunity to get to know the rest of the group. We then continued up the winding road to the start of our hike. Rodger, our guide and McQueen, the driver were lovely and helped to make the day really special. Rodger is so knowledgeable, funny and kind and we felt safe and cared for throughout the experience. He helped and encouraged us when we got tired and encouraged us to rest whenever we needed to. I had no intention of taking a horse initially but by the time we got there, I looked up at the rest of the climb and decided to follow the others in taking a horse - best $20 dollars I spent on the trip! My husband thought he would try walking but after five minutes practically begged for a horse! As we reached the top, we were welcomed by two condors flying over the beautiful lake - simply incredible! The lake is one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever seen - a memory that I will cherish forever. Thank you Rodger!
Guide Milton was amazing, very kind and helpful! The car and equipments also good. I recommend this tour, and thanks to guide Milton.
The lake and guide was great but driver not so much. The bus was very cold. I had a thermal shirt, plus a winter coat and insulated boots and still cold. I asked for them to turn up the heat but the guide explained the driver doesn't like it too hot. Well la-de-da I thought I was the paying customer! Then his driving was dangerous. Fast corners, on the line with semi trucks coming. He would do tight passes and once lammed on the brakes and I looked and there was police car sitting but didn't pull him over. On the curvy gravel road he was always catching up to more tour buses so obviously driving faster then them. Seat belts and armrest were broken and we didn't feel safe. I would have rather slowed down on the way back and rested. Not sure what the rush was but getting back at 5:30 safely versus 5:00 would have been better. The lake is great and guide as well. We took the horses and glad we did. Buy Oxy boost canisters at the pharmacy to get a hit of oxygen when out of breath because of the elevation.
we had Jerver and Valentin, and they were very patient, kind, and on time. they accommodated two parties speaking different languages very well. highly recommend!
Jerver and Valentin were phenomenal - highly reccommend them and this company. On time pick up and departure and very good at explaining everything clearly to us. Great knowledge of the area
Percy is a great guider. The whole experience at the mountain was such hard, but of course his guidance made the moment better!
I had an experience with roberth as our guide, making sure everything was well despite the altitude. We also had a very good lunch.
Percy was amazing guy , have a great knowledge of what he is talking and have a great attitude for everything we need , great person
Percy and the driver Juvenal were amazing fenomenal. They took care very very good of our group and he was very amazing taking care of us Thank you amigo Percy, we will miss you
Awesome experience! Jehomar Herencia excellent guide, very helpful and informative! We loved that, and recommend too
I bought this tour via Viator before arriving Cusco just to be on the safe side and paid $78 for the tour thinking that this is the standard rate/tour provides higher quality lunch, etc. On the day of the tour, I learned that everyone else on the tour paid max of $24... The quality tour was not good either... The guide spoke Spanish mostly, did not provide guidance about the structure of the tour, etc. When I reached out to Viator about this issue and the unfair price, they did not help me at all... This felt like a complete rip off. I was truly frustrated. Overall, do not buy this tour on Viator...
Good tour and guide Ernesto. Allowed to walk at own pace and given plenty of time at the lake. Included breakfast and lunch which was okay. Bus wasn't very comfortable for tall people.
We booked the Lake Humantay tour and confirmed the pick-up address and time the day before. The next morning, 30 minutes after the pick-up time, I messaged and called the WhatsApp contact number but didn't get any response. It has now been 2 hours and still nothing. Looking at previous reviews, I see other people had the same issue. Terrible company with horrible communication. Don't book this company if you don't want to waste your time
Beautiful hike & Percy was so patient and took lots of great pictures for everyone on the tour, he also made sure no one fell behind. He also was very informative about the culture and nature. Buffet breakfast and lunch was also great ! I would definitely recommend this tour with Percy to my friends :)
Roberth was so knowledgeable and helpful, always kind and pleasant. He taught us about their traditions and how important it is to respect one another and the nature and animals. He helped us really connect with the nature and one another. Thank you for everything! Great experience!
Would definitely recommend this hike. Very picturesque trail, and the view at Humantay lake was magnificent. Our guide Jerver was very friendly and helped our group to conquer the steep slopes. Also a shout out to our driver, Wilbert.
It was a great hike and experience. It definately takes some stamina and resillience to vertigo though. Huever and Wilbert were pur guides! Recommend.
super organized and punctual. hike was pretty tough, but was super rewarding to finish it and see the lake! highly recommend doing this
Jerver is a very patient and responsible guide. Very informative and jovial. He took good care of the whole group especially the older ones
Roberth was great. He was very accommodating and we enjoyed his company. He explained exactly what was next and appreciated he checking on us withe elevation. He also did a very special ceremony to thank mother earth for all the beauty she has given. Our driver Freddy was very nice and I appreciated him answering my questions.
Had a lot of fun on the trip Percy was very attentive to my family members that were a bit slower and made sure they were okay.
Very nice experience with our guide Jerver, who is friendly to us and get easy around with, the view is magnificent and breathtaking, I definitely would come back once I have chance.
I really enjoyed the time with Jerver during the hiking. We talked a lot and he helped me know more about Cusco culture! Thanks a lot!
Another great day here in Cusco! Percy was a great host/coach/support person to make the hike and experience memorable. And it was breathtaking when you get over the hill and see the lake. Thank you Percy!!
Percy was our group guide today on the most beautiful day to hike to Humanatay Lagoon!! Caring for all, he shared a sweet ceremony to give thanks to Mother Earth and helped everyone who needed it at every moment. I loved this experience with my best friend. The touring company, Machu Picchu Viagens, took us extra early and we were practically first to reach the top! That was worth the 4am call time and I would do this 100 times over. Salud!
We went to Humantay Lagoon with the guide Roberto and it was fantastic! Very attentive
The trip to Laguna Humantay is simply unmissable. The trail is quite heavy and demanding, mainly due to the altitude and the steep climb. However, every step and every drop of sweat is worth it when you reach the top and are faced with that surreal blue water. I would also like to highlight the excellent work of the team. The guide Roberto was fantastic from start to finish, always attentive, respecting the pace of everyone in the group and giving valuable breathing tips. Furthermore, full points for the driver, who demonstrated a lot of experience and safety on a road trip that is quite winding and dangerous.
Roberto is very attentive, knowledgeable about the region, very good.
Today we had an incredible experience with the team formed by the driver Hermes and the guide Roberto. Both very kind, polite, and concerned with the well-being of everyone. I strongly recommend and congratulate you on the beautiful work done!
Despite the difficulty of the trail, the guide Roberto was exceptional, truly out of the curve with the care and attention to us. The driver Hernan is also very well instructed and fast.
Excellent guide, attentive, knowledgeable, careful, and concerned about everyone!
It was an incredible experience. The Laguna Humantay trail was led by the guide Roberto, from the company Machu Picchu Brasil, who always conveyed confidence, safety, and tranquility to all travelers.
It was a perfect experience, everything on schedule, the guide was very dynamic, and led the group without hitches.
Wonderful experience, excellent Guide Roberto. I highly recommend
The experience and overcoming with the Hunmantay trail was incredible. Great attention and care from guide Roberto with everyone in the group.
Very well planned trip. Sensational and super attentive guide.
Roberto is a sweetheart, he guided us with great care and attention to Laguna. He was very polite at all times, took beautiful photographs of us, and instructed us about the Quechua culture. He presented music with flute and sang a song for us.
Roberto was a great guide, attentive and patient with rest stops. He taught us about the Quechua culture and language, in addition to giving us a nice gift with a song played by him. It also helped us with tips and beautiful photos. I recommend the tour with him. The trail is steep but worth the view at the end.
We were accompanied by Guide Roberto. Extremely attentive, respected our limitations on the trail, sang typical Inca songs. An excellent professional
Roberto is an excellent guide, very responsible and attentive to the group. He guided us very well on the Laguna trail, shared customs of the local culture, and interacted with everyone! I recommend!
The Humantay lagoon tour was incredible. It's not easy to climb, but the guide Jehomar was super patient and respected everyone's pace
The guide was Roberto, a sensational person, with a lot of knowledge and pride in his roots.
The lagoon trail is not easy, so we chose a company that was recommended to us and we had a great experience. The guide Roberto was super prepared to help us at all times, besides being very nice. We love it!
Excellent guide, super careful with the tourists
Ana and the driver Alex were very attentive throughout the trail. Ana is a super guide, she told the story of Humantay lagoon in such a proud and didactic way that you can't help but fall in love with the culture and feel grateful for the tour and symbolism. Thanks Ana and Alex!!
