Pickup is available directly at 3:30 to 4:00 am from your hotel in Cusco or at a previously agreed meeting point. We will confirm the exact pickup time and location before your tour. Please be ready in your hotel lobby or at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time.
The journey begins in Cusco with an approximately two-hour drive to Cusipata, where we stop for breakfast. After breakfast, we continue by vehicle for another hour to the community of Laya, where the ATV base is located. Along the way, enjoy views of the Andean mountains, rural communities, and open highland landscapes. Upon arrival, we receive driving and safety instructions before beginning our ATV adventure toward the Red Valley.
After the safety briefing at the ATV base in Laya, we ride through the Red Valley to its viewpoint, accompanied by our guide. Along the way, enjoy the striking red mountain slopes and panoramic Andean scenery. At the viewpoint, we leave the ATVs and begin an approximately 40-minute walk at a moderate pace to Rainbow Mountain. Our guide accompanies us throughout, with short breaks as needed. Arrival at Rainbow Mountain is expected around 9:30 a.m., depending on the group’s pace and route conditions. We spend approximately one hour admiring its colorful slopes, taking photographs, enjoying the views, and listening to our guide’s explanations. After the visit, we return along the same route, walking back to the Red Valley viewpoint before riding our ATVs back to the base in Laya. Our guide stays with the group throughout the entire adventure.
After returning to the ATV base in Laya, we board our vehicle and begin the drive back to Cusipata. Here, we stop for a buffet lunch, with time to eat and relax after our adventure through the Red Valley and Rainbow Mountain. After lunch, we continue by road to Cusco, enjoying the Andean scenery along the way. We expect to arrive at approximately 4:30 p.m., depending on traffic and road conditions. The tour ends at Plaza Regocijo for all participants.
A long day, and it was hard going at times, but very well worth it. These guys (rojelo) were helpful and knowledgeable. There are a lot of tours to choose from, and I can honestly say I’m glad I got this one.

We had a wonderful Rainbow Mountain experience! Samuel and the other guides were caring, knowledgeable, and passionate about their culture and history. They were attentive throughout the excursion and made us feel safe and supported. Communication on a few details were a challenge but we were able to enjoy ourselves, nonetheless. We chose a hotel within Cusco’s city square to ensure morning pickup—our 3:30am morning pickup went smoothly. The tour was well-priced, but bring extra cash/soles in case you need additional assistance up the mountain, such as horseback or motorcycle rides, which cost extra. We visited in September and were lucky to have no snow, so the views were absolutely beautiful. Wear layers, listen to your body, and enjoy the experience!

Rogelio was a great tour guide! Spoke English very well, very accommodative to different people’s pace, and overall very encouraging to get up the mountain. It’s not easy but almost everyone in our party got up from going to old and it was definitely worth it. Would recommend altitude meds. My gf and I started a day before and took them throughout.
Our tour guide was the best, he took the best pictures of us out of all the tours we did in Peru. The breakfast and lunch was sufficient, I was surprised by the options. Everything was great. Highly recommend! He also stayed with you and helped with the altitude sickness which was greatly appreciated.

Breathtaking! Our guide Rogelio was enthusiastic and put everyone at ease, especially first time riders on the ATV’s. We was lucky with our day and had the best views and Rogelio got some great photos of the group. The hike up was of a medium difficulty in parts but taking it slowly made it more than doable. Really nice trip to Rainbow Mountain
The experience was simply excellent!! From the pickup until the moment of returning. The transport picked us up exactly at the agreed time and at the indicated place; the van was comfortable and spacious. Our guide was very friendly and was attentive to each of the people during the entire tour. The times were more than enough to rest, take photographs, appreciate the places, and explore. At each stop, our guide took the time to explain the timing to us, give us recommendations and warnings, all of this in Spanish and in English. The places are something wonderful; it is an experience I would repeat without hesitation.

I rarely check reviews, but now I realize that it is important to share my experience to be able to help other travelers. I highly recommend the company Speedy. They fulfilled everything I contracted. There were no surprises. 1. They contacted me before the pickup and were very punctual upon their arrival. A van picked us up and took us to have breakfast. It was a breakfast that, although quick, was quite complete. The restaurant was Quite clean and with a variety of dishes. From there, our trip continued to the base of the mountain where the ATVs were already ready. It is an incredible experience to tour the red valley on an ATV; it is an incredible landscape. From there, we arrived to start the next experience, which is the mountain of colors. And although it is not such a long hike, in my opinion, it is difficult because of the altitude. Beforehand, and due to my hypertension condition, I wanted to walk as little as possible. And I had read that there were horses you could hire right there. And that is where I had an issue... I didn't have any cash on me and payment must be made only in that way. Rogelio, who was our guide, and who was always looking out for the group. He lent me the money. Because they did charge me. 120 soles per horse, and although I knew that payments on the mountain were only in cash. Fortunately, Rogelio solved the problem for me. Keep in mind that the entrance fee, which is 30 soles per person, must also be paid in cash. The return is the same: going down the mountain of colors, ATV trip through the red valley. Return transportation to the same restaurant for lunch. Once lunch was finished, back to Cusco. It took me time to withdraw the money from the ATM to pay back the loan to Rogelio. And he was always super patient and kind.

Sensational, whoever wants to go to the colorful mountain should go from ATV. What should be said, here said that included the colorful mountain entrance, but was charged. Another thing, you have to take money, because you have to pay bike to go up and down if you want, detail, to go up is really necessary. The guide is excellent and the food served as well. I didn't feel anything, nor tired.
All excellent the wonderful experience, I just think you should advise that there may be a possibility of snow to carry suitable equipment. But it's just suggestion not complaint. All wonderful.
The experience was amazing. The guides Eddie and Edgar came to us at the right time and made sure the visit was enjoyable. Some of the tour companions felt bad about the height and were able to accompany them. I highly recommend climbing the mountain with four cycles and then, the bikes. This allows you to enjoy the view without feeling exhausted and with few tourists. Finally, do not miss visiting the red valley. The breakfast room and restaurant have free toiletries. The guides were extremely friendly and took good pictures of us.
