From Cusco : Palccoyo Mountain Of Colours All Inclusive 1 Day

Horrible experience. Do not book. The coach bus was crammed with no space to sit properly. The tour guide was reading from his phone & very poor customer service skills. The driver played his radio so loud with no concern through the entire trip with no consideration. The roads to Rainbow Mountain were so so bad & the poor quality of the coach made it worse. We were all sick by the end of this tour.

Cristian an Ruben were fantastic guide and driver. Palccoyo is an amazing place and recommend this Montaña de 7 Colores over the other if you're looking for more color and less crowds

I requested the tour in the morning the day before it should start. At 11pm I still had no confirmation so I texted them. I just got an instant mail of cancellation with no chance for another tour tomorrow. Very nice.

The ticket is excluded, they write in description that it’s included, and in inclusions & exclusions they write that it’s excluded, so just to clear that out. We didn’t get a guide, probably because of small amount of people. Breakfast and lunch was pretty good. There was almost no one, in total at the moment I was, there were like 15 tourists, I was in the main rainbow mountain, Vinicunca, it had snow, but I hated that it was so overcrowded. Some guides told me that Palccoyo for them is more beautiful and better than Vinicunca. And another thing is that if you don’t like hiking, it is perfect for you, you need just climb upstairs unlike Vinicunca, which requires 1.5 h hiking and climbing in to steep terrain

First things first, this trip is very good value for money and I would recommend, but as per the title of this review you very much get what you pay for so there are a few things to be aware of. 1. The pick up is NOT 7am as per the information - we were told we’d be picked up at 4:40, which turned into 4:30, but then they didn’t actually pick us up until almost 5am. Not really an issue but would have been nice to have had accurate information before booking. 2. All the correspondence is done through WhatsApp and we only seems to be sent the information about the trip the night before after nagging. Again, not the end of the world but an official email from the company with all the details the day before would have been good. 3. There’s not really much in the way of a tour - much like other reviews have said, most the info is given in Spanish and even then, the tour guide is basically just there to show you the way. If you’re looking to understand more about the place, book a different tour. Overall the tour was good - breakfast and lunch were decent and the pick up and drop off were easy enough. Not the comfiest bus journeys of my life but again, for the price, pretty good.

Great hike, a little difficult due to the altitude but it was doable and definitively worth it. Our guide, Franco was very informative and supportive.

our guide Jacob guided us to the mountain of Palccoyo on a very short walk and recommended to visit, has beautiful landscapes such as the stone forest or the Inca bridge, I recommend it

We spent 4 days in Cusco and took the opportunity to visit Palccoyo Mountain and did a very short hike and the group was small so it was easy for us to visit the mountain with the attention of our guide Jacob and lunch was good, we recommend it

It was an unforgettable experience, we went with our guide jacob and it was very good to visit us the places indicated in the agency information we saw llamas on the road we visited the stone forest and the rainbow mountain, weather was fine it didn't rain, I recommend the experience

Rainbow Mountains of Cusco are true gem. The tour started early in the morning and the drive was comfortable untill we reached the foot hills where it got off the road. It was quite an experience meeting the people from the community who are living there. Cetainly a trip not to be missed.

The personal is friendly and has every detail in mind, we expressed our concerns on travelling on a budget and they were very considerate about that. We did the Rainbow Mountain tour with them and it was fabulous.

Well worth the visit. It was a dream trip and was just way beyond what i expected. Alexander is an excellent guide and knew a lot about the trekking and was extremely helpful.

Unforgettable trip would always stay close to my memory. This was more like a dream seeing such a unique creation of nature, the seven coloured hill. View is very nice, the local community kids walked with us which was a very nice experience. Highly recommended.

We had a great day trip to Palccoyo. Our guide Norman was great and explained a lot to us, looked out for everyone, especially because of the altitude. The drive to the national park was very bumpy and fast, but we felt well taken care of and Julio drove well. Unfortunately, the visit to the bridge mentioned in the description was cancelled and I didn't quite catch why. Since that would have been optional anyway, I didn't think it was that bad. The rainbow mountains there were great, not too crowded and you could even see glaciers. The path is relatively easy, only the altitude of 5000m at the end might not be for everyone. The breakfast and lunch buffet was very delicious and also had many vegetarian options. A great excursion.

Amazing experience! Definitely my favorite activity in my short stay in Peru. Good breakfast and lunch, although the restaurant was very crowded with other groups heading to the Vinicunca mountain. Our guide John Wick was charming throughout, answered all our questions and guided us very patiently (we took a lot of pictures along the way). The mountain, as such, is incredible, its surroundings beautiful and the number of people much less than in its "big sister" Vinicunca; also the journey is much quieter and less demanding. In addition to the colorful mountain (which is actually 3 different stretches) you walk in the stone forest and you can enjoy the landscape of the Red Valley and the other mountains of the chain. 100% recommended and would even repeat it happily.

Die Tour an sich ist super! Definitiv ist der Palccoyo zu empfehlen im Gegensatz zu dem Vinicunca. Wir waren mit einer anderen Gruppe die ersten auf dem Berg und es ist einfach atemberaubend. Toll, dass dort wenig Touristen sind. Auch die vielen kleinen Stopps haben uns gefallen: Frühstück - Roter Fluss - Red Valley - Alpaca Farm - Mountains - Mittagessen Der Eintritt kostet leider 25 PEN und nicht 10/15 PEN wie vorher angekündigt. Das wäre toll, wenn das vorher richtig kommuniziert worden wäre, da man es BAR braucht. Auch war der Guide okay, da hatten wir schon bessere. Deswegen insgesamt ein Stern Abzug.

Die Busfahrt in einem vollgepackten 19 Sitzer ohne Klimaanlage und mit einer zweifelhaften Federung auf einer größtenteils nicht asphaltierten Strecke, ist das große Minus dieser Tour. Da sind kleinere Fahrzeuge sicher besser. Informationen gab's recht wenig aber das Ziel an sich ist auch so unglaublich beeindruckend und man hat wirklich mehr als ausreichend Zeit dort und jeder kann die Strecke in eigenem Tempo und nach eigenen Vorlieben erkunden. Die Guides machen Fotos so viel man möchte und es gibt dem Preis der Tour angemessene gute Auswahl an Essen.

Very good tour, very small group, you can go at your own pace and there are not many people around, which I thought was great, alexander was also lovely

I recommend the visit to the mountain of palccoyo we did not walk much was a short walk we were given breakfast and lunch that were already included in the tour and admission, no complaints all right, thank you very much recommended

We enjoyed this experience, from the first moment they gave us very professional quality care, explained us very well and everything was excellent, it is certainly a good tour... many colors, landscapes and a good walk. Making this hike to Palccoyo allows you to appreciate the landscapes differently and have greater contact with nature THE GUIDE IS A KINGPIN !!! HE WAS THE BEST! Made the experience great
