Exclusive Huayna Picchu Tour In 1 Day From Cusco

Wonderful views of you have the luck with the weather. Quite hard physically, but not dangerous (although there some exposed parts). Worth the pain.

One of my best experiences and challenges was climbing the imposing Huayna Picchu mountain. This mountain is incredible, it is worth all the effort and each step to reach the top, from the mountain you can see the beautiful Inca city of Machu Picchu

For all those who can choose to do Huayna Picchu I recommend it in its entirety, from here you will have a panoramic view of all of Machu Picchu. The agency complied, they gave me 2 tickets, one to visit all Machu Picchu and another for Huayna Picchu, highly recommended.

Without a doubt, it is worth going up, it is a very difficult and complicated path, but the view of the citadel from above is incredible. I thank DON Peru Tours again for their excellent organization and we are very happy for their excellent service.

If you are independent, but would still like all the paperwork and minor booking details taken care for you, this is the excursion for you. A person from tour stopped by our hotel the night before to give us all our tickets - Train ticket, Bus Ticket, Machu Picchu/Wauyana Picchu tickets. The one downside, is they came at 8:30pm the night before. And we had to get up before 3 am the next day. I wish they had coordinated this earlier in the night. It was over an hour car ride to the train station. We got right on the train and it was over an hour ride to the city of Machu Picchu. The train ride was pretty nice, I wish we could have taken the train right out of Cusco, but I don't think it goes that far. We then found the bus stop and got on our bus, which took us to the top by Machu Picchu. With this package, it includes the Wuyana picchu hike. We hiked the mountain and got an amazing view of Macchu Picchu. You can see from the photos it is a very steep hike. I have moderate physical fitness. This was very hard but I pushed myself and could do it. If you were staying in Cusco like us, this is lower elevation, even on top the mountain, so the only hard part of the hike was just the physical demand. Overall, this was a great day. Definitely go right away in the morning, the earlier the better. The longer you wait the hotter it gets at Machu Picchu. The whole excursion was self guided. One thing that was not great, out of control by the tour company not their fault, was the train on the way home. It was delayed 4 times. Instead of leaving at 5:30pm, we didn't leave the station till 11pm. By the time we got to Cusco, it was 1am. This was a 23 hour day for us, it was brutal. Still worth it, but luckily we had a free day the next day. If we had another tour, we wouldn't have been in trouble.

My visit to Wayna Picchu was surely one of the best I've ever done in my life, a very tiring climb but worth all the effort. Along the way I made friends and everyone was happy to reach the top. I would like to thank Sandra, my travel agent, who was attentive to me throughout my visit.

One of the greatest challenges is to reach the top of the Huayna Picchu mountain, seeing Machu Picchu from there is something spectacular and my trip was very well organized, all on time and with excellent recommendations, I thank agent Hann for making this visit spectacular .

Our tour to Huayna Picchu was incredible, a walk of 1 hour and a half to reach the highest point. Along the way you meet people with a lot of energy. I highly recommend it.

This tour was awesome and super well organised by the tour agency. Since we had little time in Cusco, we opted for this day-trip to Machupicchu and Huaynapicchu. It was a very very long and tiring day but hassle-free since we got everything sorted and all the information from the agency and even had an agent, Yerson, visiting us the night before and keeping in touch during the tour. Machupicchu, needless to say, is a must visit and going up the Huaynapicchu made the experience even better (although a bit challenging). Our Machupicchu tour guide, Rebecca, was great too! Thanks

Tour was organised by a man named Yerson, who is readily available via whatsapp. He came to the hotel the evening before the visit, to give our tickets and explain how everything would work, including the timings. The driver who collected us in the morning at 3am made sure that we got on the right train and stayed with us till we boarded. At aguas calientes, another assistant located us and made sure we got on the right bus with our group. The tour guide, Elvis, was excellent and very friendly. Gave us plenty of opportunity to take pictures and knew a fair bit about the machu picchu ruins. The hike upto huayna picchu was the best bit, but it has a daily capacity of 400 people and tickets to enter tend to sell out quick, so please book around 2 months in advance. If you do opt to climb the mountain, take plenty of water with you and some snacks. It is hard but totally worth it, but take your time on the way up. Once up there, you realise how amazing it is. I would 100% recommend this tour operator. Everything went smoothly. Yerson himself collected us at the end of the day from the train station and dropped us to our hotel.

A very personalized service, complies with everything it offers, always pending throughout the trip and the tours, you arrive and only dedicate yourself to enjoy Machu Picchu. Highly recommended.

I did the tour arrangement because for about $50 more than buying all of the tickets and arranging all of the connections myself, I could let someone else do the logistics. It was a good thought, but the connections didn’t work. I couldn’t find the guy picking me up at the airport and had to take a taxi. The guy who was to pick me up the morning of the tour immediately passed me off to his friend. I needed a bus, and the guide there found me accidentally. No one to pick me up in Ollantaytambo at the end of a long day, so I had to pay again to join one of the group shuttles. Some of this might be a problem with taxi-tour people in this part of Peru. Signs with people’s names on them, although promised, are not always used, and they are rarely used well. In order to look for names on signs, I have had to check a sign stashed between a guy’s legs while he had a smoke, and ask that a rolled up sign be removed from an armpit and unrolled. I did not have this problem in Lima. Fortunately, I was traveling alone and was able to work on the fly. However, I was supposed to travel with a friend who is older and not in as good health, and this kind of messing around can be disastrous for people who can’t afford the flexibility. I’m also rather miffed that I paid for services that were not provided, such as the ride back to Cuzco from Ollantaytambo. And then had to pay again because those services had to be acquired otherwise. If I do a trip to MP and HP again, I will definitely have someone do the logistics, but I will not be using DonPeru again. It should be noted that all of the people involved were quite pleasant. I’m giving it two stars because MP and HP are worth the visit, and I visited, but the day was more difficult than it should have been.

Great view can be had from the Huayna Picchu mountain. One of the best mountains to observe the entire Inca city of Machupicchu.

Very excited to visit this beautiful city and my favorite place without any doubt huayna picchu. My visit to Huayna Picchu mountain was amazing, beautiful scenery and one of the best views of Machu Picchu I could have, the climb to Huayna Picchu is somewhat tired but worth every effort, a very charming place. My experience in Huayna Picchu is one of the best of my life. When I arrived in Cusco they were waiting for me and in the afternoon an agent gave me all the information about my visit to Huayna Picchu. It was all well organized, we boarded the train in Ollataytambo, transport there very good. Nice accommodation, comfortable. The excursion to Machu Pichu very cute guide Edison spectacular guided us with a lot of heart, very grateful. Huayna Pichu a tired walk but the end the view was magical! Turn around nicely. A wonderful experience is the one that lives with my friend, our visit to Huayna Picchu mountain was great and magical. A real energy is felt when you are on top of the mountain. The connection between the Inca town of Machu Picchu and the mountain is unique. It was a joy for us to meet Machu Picchu but it was something more incredible to climb the Wayna Picchu mountain, we arrived very tired but we did it, it was an experience that I will never forget.
