Nilo was such a nice and enthusiastic tour guide! He showed us general things but also asked us what we wanted to see. We got great impression of Cusco and its architecture amongst others. We had to leave early so we missed Pisco tasting but that was no problem.

Our guide was called Diego and he was very pleasant and knowledgeable He took us to see Inca ruins and remains of Inca walls and explained how they were constructed. We then went on to do a fairly extensive tour of the old town and climbed to two magnificent viewing points. We finished off at a little bar where we were served a small Pisco Sour or a soft drink. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the tour although it was a bit irritating initially when Diego referred to us as ‘amigos’ in every sentence but that’s a minor thing and did not spoil our enjoyment of the afternoon.
I would have given this activity five stars except for the pre tour confusion. I received a message three hours before the tour saying it had been cancelled and asking if we could do the tour in the afternoon instead. I explained we were already booked on another activity in the afternoon. I then received another message saying we should attend at 10.30am (as planned). We never received an explanation as to what happened. There were others on the tour. Anyway, the tour itself was really enjoyable. The guide (I think her name was Janet) helped to make it interesting and informative. We had a good walk around Cusco and saw a wealth of sites and architecture backed with a good knowledge of the history of Cusco and Peru. At one point we even saw a range of Peruvian musical instruments, different, but interesting. Good luck to our guide in her future as a tourist guide. For my son and I she made the tour a success when we had been somewhat apprehensive after the pre tour confusion.
Book the early tour. It gets hot in the afternoon and there are stairs and street inclines that may make walking about on a hot day difficult. Wear sunscreen, a hat and comfy shoes.
Interesting tour but was told to look for someone with black umbrella but our guide didn’t have one so difficult to find in the crowded plaza. Lots of good information and steady pace. Didn’t see musical instrument shop or get free Pisco sour as promised in the blurb.
Our guide was amazing and explained everything in detail! We explored Inca construction, San Blas and the working aqueduct! Complete with a Pisco Sour taste at the end!
We had a great walking tour! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and did a wonderful job explaining the history along the way. I felt like I learned so much, and the delicious pisco sour was the perfect way to end the experience!
A fun and informative way to preview Cusco City and acclimate. Nilo was a very fun guide to have. Cusco has so much to see but wear good shoes! This city is not flat so prepare for inclines and steps!
What a great introduction to Cusco! Nilo was an amazing guide. He is so passionate and knowledgeable about Incan history and architecture. He kept the pace moving, whilst also being aware of the fact that the group was perhaps not used to any sort of activity at this altitude. He was open to questions, spending longer at certain places and being mindful of everyone in the group.
Nilo was a wonderful guide. He was very informative and took care of our group. We visited an interesting musical instrument shop/museum but we were never pushed to buy anything. I think it's a treat to have an anthropologist explain the history and culture of Cusco! The architecture is fascinating. Also better to explore San Blas this way for me, rather than constantly checking Google Maps. Highly recommend! Thank you Nilo :)
Great tour! Perfect way to start your stay in Cusco. Nilo was super nice and gave a great orientation to the city. He was also passionate about the information he was giving about the architecture. Raft to book and find the start location. Highly recommend this tour.
Carlos did a very good job at explaining giving us a lot of history. Very nice easy tour. Ended and started right on time.
Nilo is a great guide. He is very patient and considerate. Also he is full of passion with Inka culture. We learned a lot from him.
The guide is a professional with more than usual education to do with the Inkas, so that was impressive.
Nilo was a great, knowledgeable tour guide who took us to great viewpoints of Cusco and was very considerate of pace + altitude sickness. He provided recommendations for restaurants and other things to do in Cusco city, and gave us samples of chicha and agua de Florida!
Nilo was a great guide! Very knowledgeable - he is a Cusco local and studied anthropology. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in the tour, and is excited about the information he is sharing with you. We covered a good amount of the city on the tour, and had plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. Highly recommend, as it also allows you to orient yourself and find neat spots to visit later!
Nilo is knowlegable and willing to share what he knows tonus. He also taking care of us e.g. Several stops, sharing of Agua de Florida, introducing Chicha to us. Today's experience is fruitful and interactive. As if the meeting up tool could be more eye-catching, then much more perfect!
Nilo was brilliant and super informative , it was a brilliant tour and we even got a free little llama key ring and a pisco sour at the end. Learnt so much about the Inca history and got saw all the highlights of Cusco - couldn’t recommend more!
Amazing walking tour. Nilo was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful even in the rain. If you're doing a walking tour, just do this one with Nilo.
Nilo (tour guide) was very informative and considerate with everyone in the group. We did have a good mix of ages among us and he never rushed anyone and was looking out to see if everyone was doing well. The tour does take the allotted time, but it is time well spent if you want to know more about the history of the city. This is also a great tour for taking pictures of the city.
The guide was fluent in English and the pisco sour at the end was delicious! I recommend this tour to everyone!
