We had a fantastic tour of Cusco with our guide Afdel. He was truly amazing - he knew all about the history of the place and was clearly passionate about making sure we had an excellent experience. He went above and beyond and we would recommend this food tour to anyone visiting Cusco. The tour lasted longer than the advertised time, which made it an even better experience because it was filled with Afdel’s knowledge and guidance. The food was all delicious and authentic Peruvian dishes - you must come to this tour hungry!

Itinerary
The vibrant heart of the city, built over an ancient Incan square and flanked by the massive Cusco Cathedral and the ornate Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús.
The most sacred site of the Incan Empire, featuring masterfully carved stone walls that later served as the foundation for the colonial Santo Domingo Convent.
A world-famous example of Incan masonry located on Hatun Rumiyoc street, where a massive stone fits perfectly with its neighbors without a drop of mortar.
A sensory explosion of Andean culture where you can find everything from exotic fruits and local cheeses to traditional textiles and shamanic supplies.
Known as the "Artisans' Quarter," this steep, bohemian district is famous for its narrow cobblestone alleys, whitewashed buildings, and hidden workshops
An iconic narrow street lined with some of the best-preserved Incan walls in the city, showcasing the distinct "cushion" style of imperial architecture.

Our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, enthusiastic and sweet. He shared great stories about Cusco's history, architecture & culture that kept the walk interesting between stops. The food was outstanding a,nd the locals in,cluding the guide where very warm and welcoming. A great way to get introduced to the culture and hohole-in-the-wall spots to eat. I recommend doing it on day one to make the most of your trip. :)
Afdel was an excellent guide with many stories, rich knowledge, history, and a friendly personality that made all of us feel like family. We tried many different kinds of Peruvian foods with amazing flavors, enriched by explanations of tradition. He not only took us to many delicious food stops but also historically significant places and gave us a lot of interesting background information. I feel like I got not only a wonderful gastronomy experience but a deeper appreciation of the history and culture of Peru and Cusco specifically. Highly recommend and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Peru.
