Atv Tour To Moray, Maras & Salt Mines - Sacred Valley

It was great. It’s definitely worth everything you pay for it. From the pick up at your hotel to the actual quad bikes, it’s really one of the best thought out tours I’ve been on. Make sure to bring cash in soles though, we only had USD which in the end wasn’t a problem, but Soles are always better. There are plenty of bathroom places for you to go as well, so you don’t have to worry about this. Keep in mind that if you have a packed itinerary like we did, we couldn’t really keep up with all the tours. and dates and info regarding this tour came at like 20:45 pm, but I guess it’s a minor detail. Recommend this to everyone, but keep in mind that the ATV part is ‘only’ to the Moray site and to Maras salt mines you continue with the van. Also a nice bonus was a chocolate tasting stop. Great experience and big up to our guide as well.

Our group of six spent a total of 16 days in Peru... our entire group agreed that this Quad Bike ATV Adventure to Moray and Maras through the Sacred Valley was our VERY favorite tour. Joel was our guide, and he made the experience absolutely spectacular from beginning to end. We met right outside the Willka Travel office in Cusco. The vehicle drive to the ATV location was comfortable, roomy, and even had air conditioning (which was an unexpected surprise). Joel made sure that all drivers were comfortable with the ATVs before we departed. Once we were off on our adventure, Joel made sure to keep our group well organized and safe. The views were incredibly stunning, and we loved all the background information that Joel was able to share. Following our stop at the Maras salt mines, we stopped at a local shop and were able to taste a variety of items. We bought the most divine salted chocolate (and brought home a ton for gifts to friends and family). We also purchased amazing smoked salt, spiced salt, and regular salt. If you can only pick one adventure in Cusco or the Sacred Valley, this should be the one. Our group had ages 14-55, and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you for such a great trip, Joel!

Definitely worth the cost. We went at beginning of rainy season so there were less tourists but the weather was perfect. Lisandro was our tour guide. He was very knowledgable about the area and nice and fun for an all around great experience. He also was always offering to take photos and videos which was amazing! Went to Moray and Salt mines in about 3-4 hours.

The tour was great with the good Tour Guide Felix. He is very attentive and explained us the history of of Salt Mines and had us taste different kind of salts and chocolate and We ended up getting a lot of bring back to US. The WilkaTravel is a good agency, staff are good wt communication.

A fantastic excursion!!! Informative trip to the salt mines and a sensational ride to the Moray circular terrace gardens. ATV guides were helpful and overall a beautiful adventure, and at a superb cost as well!! (I paid less than $50 for a 6 hour event that included to and from transport from my AirB.

A fun trip with a mini lesson beforehand, both Moray and Maras were interesting sites to see, a very well informed guide. We only have 30 mins at Moray, it would have been nicer to have more time there. The bikes were in good condition, a tip is to bring a neck gaiter to protect you from the gust from getting into your helmet.

They don’t let you take videos or pictures while driving, for safety reasons. But the guides did a great job of taking videos and sharing them with the group via airdrop and WhatsApp (for android users).

Arrived to office per instructions to meeting point. Doors locked due to holiday. Made contact via whatapps. Good app to have. An hour drive from city center to location. As you drive to location you will have some amazing views of the Andes Mountains. I asked the driver to stop for photos. He stopped twice for us. Upon arrival you will receive instructions on how to use the ATV and a about 10 minutes to practice driving in a circle. You will be provided helmets. Helmets are provided you need to ask for a size that fits properly. Snug on your head with little movement for best protection. Dry season- roads will kick up a ton of dust- you will be covered head to toe in dust. Shorts, short sleeves, any type of open toe shoes not a good idea. Sunglasses in my opinion a must. To use the road you need to pay 3 soles per atv. My famiky paid 9 soles we had 3 quad bikes. Have correct or close to correct amount, change is provided but probably not for large bills. Cost to enter sites not included. 70 soles per person at Moray and 20 soles per person at the salt mines. There are no ATMS. The stops are short but plenty of time to learn and take pictures. Bathrooms at the ATV facility and at both sites. Vendors at both sites too. If you get car sick at all, the drive to the saltmines is short, steep and curvy maybe take something. We took a back pack with water and snacks which was plenty, we had lunch prior to the 1:00pm departure. Returned about 730pm. It was great fun. The beauty is astonishing. The guide spoke English and Spanish.

Breathtaking views all the way from start to end, comfy transport, awesome guide and great fellow tourists. Bit of a mix up at the time of pick up but they made sure the bus waited for us at another location :)

After sitting in vans through the beautiful Andes, it was fun to ride on your own. However our guide made no effort to make the trip enjoyable for us..he didn't stop to take any photos on the quad bike. It was like ride to Moray, spend only 20 minutes there with 70 soles entry ticket entry and come back. I see a lot of possibilities to make this tour fun with the right guide with more knowledge to share.

We booked and paid for the ATV tour and were ready at 0630 for pick up from our Hotel in Cusco and no one turned up. We tried calling and messaging the tour company but had no answer. We eventually gave up at 0800 when they didn’t turn up. I would not recommend booking with this company as it is unreliable.

Very fun experience! The guide was very accommodating and informative. Very organized and scheduled well. We had a great time.

Joel is an A++++ tour guide. Very informative, and really attentive. Felt well-taken care of and couldn’t recommend this trip more. Make sure you leave Joel and the driver a solid tip because they truly deserve the most!

Our family group of 7 had a fun day on the ATV tour to moray and salt mines. We also stopped for great souvenirs. Our guide was very helpful and they even dropped us at the train station to go on to Machu Picchu instead of heading back to Cusco. Thank you!

Since the tour starts late in the day we were at the attractions after the morning crowd. You take the ATV to Moray and then back to the ATV start point to then take a van to the salt mines. Includes a stop at a shop to try the different types of salt (and buy). By the time we arrive at the salt mines it is sunset aka cold so bring a sweather. Not much to do at the salt mines. It was mostly for pictures. Tip for ATV: wear brown, grey or brown because you get quite dusty

The tour was well organized and the group was not too big. We were picked up from our hotel by the tour guide, his name was Edgar. We arrived as the first group to the salt mines of maras, which was amazing. We could enjoy there without other people. Later we went to the garage and got on the atv’s. On the atv’s we went to Moray and back. Edgar is a very good photographer and made sure everybody had great photos! Would recommend this tour!

I really liked the tour. Alisandro is a good guide and is exited to tell you about everything. Moray and the salt mines are very nice to see and the quad tour was a lot of fun.

The half-day quad bike experience was by far one of favorites on this trip. Driving with the majestic landscape in the background will take your breath away. Lisandro was our guide and was so protective, informative and helpful throughout the experience.

Oh, my gosh, this experience was INCREDIBLE. Seriously, it rivaled our trip to Machu Picchu. Joel was our guide, and he was a 10/10. The stops along the way were perfect and charming and gorgeous. Not to mention the ATVs are SOOOO FUUUNNNN! The route that the tour takes is STUNNING. Views unlike anything else. Even the parts of the tour that are just the van ride are still breathtaking. I cannot recommend this experience enough!

Riding four wheelers through the Sacred Valley was one of the prettiest sights of my life! Lisandro took plenty of photos and videos of us too.

The quads were really fun ◡̈ Views were beautiful on the way. The salt mines were a little underwhelming but still beautiful. The guide Lisandro was nice and did his best to make sure everyone was comfortable.

This ATV tour to the ruins at Moray and the to the salt mines at Mora's was so fantastic. Our guide Lisandro was really great. He showed us how to use the ATVS and then let us practice before we were off. The ruins are gorgeous and the salt mines really cool. Highly recommend recommend.

The ATV quadbike experience to and from Moray was really something. Riding through the valley with snowcapped mountains and sprawling meadows all around was a surreal experience. Highly highly recommend. Wish we could take the quadbike instead of the bus to Salineras Maras too :). But totally understandable that you can't because of safety reasons - the roads to Maras can be narrow with steep drops. Joel was a fantastic guide - friendly, charming, knowledgeable and super chill.
