Our guide Henry Rodriguez and driver Carmelo were excellent! Henry was a wealth of knowledge, patient and kind, Took great pictures of the group and could cater for our group whose ages ranged from 9 to 75! Carmelo was very good a navigating traffic, always on time and looked after us very well. The tour was arranged such that you could acclimatise and it wasn’t too hard on your body. Highly recommended!

Reviews
We just finished an 8-day/7 night private tour around Peru (May 12-19), and although we were assigned different guides and drivers along the way, the 2 people who really carried us through most of the trip was Rafael (our guide) and Arturo (our driver). Rafael had a pace that really worked for us. He never rushed us through the sites - we had time to take photos, look around, and actually enjoy where we were. He explained the history of the Incas in a way that was easy to follow, and he used photo books to show us details about their culture and architecture that we would not have noticed on our own. He pointed out great spots for photos to us (some of our favorite pictures came from his suggestions) and he helped us figure out fair prices when we wanted to buy souvenirs. He was also incredibly patient and did not mind repeating the answers to our questions which he had already previously answered (at our age, our memory lapses were often). Arturo handled the driving and if you have seen the roads around Cusco and the Sacred Valley, you would know how important it is that you would need an experienced driver. He was steady and calm the whole time, even with traffic and random road closures and detours. He was punctual - he showed up for our 5:30am pickup for the Machu Picchu train schedule and again for our 4:30am start to Humantay Lake (which ended up being a very long day). Our bucket list trip was made more memorable because of the care that they put into each day and we are really grateful.
Kantu Peru Tours was recommended to us by a fellow traveler and he didn’t disappoint. The service team of Mary and David were always helpful. The tours were well paced and organized. The included buffets were great. The hotels were comfortable and clean. We had the best driver in Arturo who got us to our destinations on time and comfortably. We got the best tour guide in Rafael who was very accommodating and knowledgeable. And of course, the highlight was Machu Picchu and we spent 2 days there because Kantu itineraries are very customizable. The tour guides they picked on both days, Andrei and Miguel were the best specialists for Machu. Kantu even booked us the front seats on the first rail car in our Vistadome train going to Machu. That means there is no one on front of us and we have a full window view in front and on the side. Kantu is also very reasonable in their pricing. We would definitely use them again if we were to return to Machu Picchu someday.
We had a great experience with Chris and Henry on my 7 days Perú tour. We strongly recommend this two tour guides.
We were referred by our friend, who used Kantu Peru Tours in June 2025. For our family of 5, we requested a private, customized 7-day/6-night tour through Kantu, and they delivered. The itinerary is: Cusco City Tour part 1, Zoo Cochahuasi - Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Maras Moray and Chinchero, Machu Picchu circuit 2, Rainbow Mountain with motorcycle, Ausangate 7 lake with horse, Casco City Tour part 2. David from customer services met us warmly at the Cusco airport. The van was roomy, and the hotels were good. Our private team, with tour guide Elias and driver Ruben, was efficient and wonderful. They took good care of us and made our trip super senior-friendly. We enjoyed Elias Inca's stories very much. Ruben's driving is safe and careful throughout the very rough roads in Peru. Special thanks to Elias's first-aid skills during a fall accident and the team's calm handling. I am now referring them to my friends who plan on visiting Machu Picchu later this September.
An excellent package. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Only tips, water and sometimes snacks which is not bad at all. We had an excellent experience with our guide Christian Lara. He was incredibly knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and shared stories that brought each stop to life. The pace was perfect, and everything was well organized. And for our chauffeur Wilson Ayala, who had a 20 plus years of experience made the experience felt safe and fun. We would absolutely book another tour with them!”
I would recommend Kantu Peru Tours to anyone and will use them again in my next trip! Excellent customer service, package cost was very competitive. We were kept informed by David everyday on what to expect and how to be prepared for the day. Tour guides were above par!
We joined the 7 day private tour with Kantu Tours and this is definitely one of the best private tours we have ever had. They let us customize our itinerary to accommodate our preferences and schedule. Our tour guide, Jenkins, was really great. He is knowledgable, meticulous, flexible and best of all takes great pictures and videos! Our driver, Kevin, was also great and always dropped us off and picked us up at the best possible spots. We highly recommend Kantu Tours, tour guide Jerkin and driver Kevin!
Amazing! Tour guide was very helpful and accommodating . Took many beautiful pictures. Will recommend to friends and family.
Amazing pictures and a marvelous place!!! A lot of nice people. Those walls hide a lot of history from the time of the Inca's Civilization!
I will remember it as a pleasant trip, I took a lot of pictures. Cristian, Rafael and others guided me professionally through these beautiful places
We were met at the airport by a cheerful Franklin and driver after our flights were delayed 4 hours. Our guide, Cristian, was prompt and responsive. He provided background information, a good understanding of the relationships and significance of each of the many sites and Inka culture, while making sure we also had great picture spots. Meal and rest stops were timed well. He also recommended spots to visit on our free day in Cuzco and those were winners! We recommend Cristian and Kantu Tours to friends and family…
I booked this tour online for my parents because they are older and can't use technology like me. I am delighted to say that Kantu took care of them as their own family and they kept me informed everyday of the status of my parents' trip. Beside providing me with daily report on them they let me adjust the tour to add one extra night the day before and change an activity that would have been too strenuous on them for another activity without charging me any extra for the alternative activity. My parents said that everyone at the company was extremely nice and attentive to their needs and everything was always very well explained to them. They loved how smoothly their trip went and obviously enjoy every treasure the country had to provide. They praised about the amability of the staff all along their adventure. They want to go back someday and said they would advise anyone who wants to take a trip to Peru to use Kantu. For me I want to thanks Waldir very much for the daily feedbacks, it helped me feel better about my parents taking this trip.
I would have given them 10 starts if I had that option in TripAdvisor. I found out about Kantu Peru Tour agency from Travel Local portal and I am so glad that I selected them. Honestly speaking I was little bit skeptical as the whole process was completely online and I was travelling with my infant kid and I never met anyone in person from the travel agency before I landed in Peru. But I was amazed by the smoothness of the whole process from the booking experience, customizing each and every detail of the trips and then execution of the whole tour plan by them. It was designed in the exact same way I asked for and I had no negative surprise whatsoever. Waldir, the person who executed the whole plan, did it so well that they were on time, every time and took utmost care of us. Never any delay in pickup from airport, train station or hotel, the cars they provided were super comfortable. Never had any discrepancy in what they promised during the booking and the actual tours. The booking coordinator, the customer service representatives were always reachable and every time I requested them something over WhatsApp it was addressed almost immediately. I did travel with my family and small kid who was not even 2 years at that time. Kantu Peru took care of everything so well since we landed in Peru after a long flight till, they sent us off at the time we left. The tour guides, especially Willie was very much accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable. As I was travelling with so small kid there were many obstacles I faced, but he was always there to help us and made our tips so enjoyable and memorable!! I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat. We will cherish the wonderful memories of Peru for rest of our lives, and it was only possible because of them!
My husband, 8 year old son, and I went to Peru in June 2023. We did a private tour starting at the Cusco airport and going directly into Urubamba for two nights with a fantastic tour of Moray and Maras. The hotel was beautiful, but quite remote - we were grateful to have great meals right at the hotel restaurant (not really possible to get into town). From there we had a fantastic tour of Ollantaytambo before hopping on the train to Machu Picchu. Timing worked out well and everything flowed smoothly. Also we had the best car of the train and all to ourselves! Machu Picchu Pueblo is small and touristy, but such a cool variety of birds and beautiful surroundings. Of course Machu Picchu was the best site of the trip and exceeded expectations. We were on the first bus and crowds were fairly light. We had to get all the way back down to Cusco that day so it was long and tiring, but at least we didn't have to drive! I would recommend a little less time in town waiting for the train after Machu Picchu though. Our last three nights in Cusco also went great - the hotel is right on a busy street so a bit loud, but we had white noise and earplugs. Otherwise, I loved the hotel! Cusco was fun just to wander around so it was nice having time to ourselves (if you have kids, please check out the Chocolate Museum, it's amazing). The highlight of the city tour were the churches, very cool interiors. Finally, our last spot was Pisac with a stop at the animal sanctuary (cute little place, but not necessarily needed if short on time). Pisac itself had an interesting history and great views. We had no major issues with Kantu and the staff seemed to really care. Minor mix-ups or timing issues were easily resolved with WhatsApp - they were always very responsive. The one thing I'll note is that make sure you have internet at all times so you can reach them if needed. Highly recommend Kantu! Thank you to our skilled driver and tour guides.
Eddy, Rommel, Wilfrido, LuisFer, Percy, and many others from the "Kantu Peru Tours" Team made our experience magical. Eddy and his team tailor-made a 10-day itinerary that started from the moment we deplane in Lima to the moment we depart; every minute, we were treated very well. Every need was anticipated, and we enjoy it. Please see our pictures; they will speak by themselves; if you consider a family trip to Peru, we highly recommend "Kantu Peru Tours" ask for a private & tailor-made tour design to cover all your adventure and comfort needs. Best Ernesto & Family
Super good experience, everything very organized.
From the first moment, Kantu Tours made us feel in the best hands. They took care of everything: guided tours, transportation, meals and every detail of the trip. Everything was perfectly organized and smooth. I want to highlight especially Willy, our guide, a cultured, attentive and empathetic man who turned each visit into a special experience. His way of sharing history, culture and love for his country made every day unique. I also want to acknowledge Diego, our driver, who took us safely throughout the tour. Always friendly, punctual and with an excellent attitude, it was a fundamental part for everything to go perfect. In addition, the airport pickup and transfer services were also impeccable, always performed by very friendly and professional people, which made the whole trip flow without stress. Thanks to Kantu Tours, our trip to Peru was much more than tourism: it was an authentic and meaningful experience. I recommend them without hesitation.
Everything excellent, very good care and everything was very good willy the guide who touched us, excellent person and very prepared. Recommended everything with them.
We had some amazing days!!! I want to thank with all my heart our guide, Rafael and our driver Mr. Ivan, a perfect team, filled us with valuable information, good times and beautiful memories. We will be forever grateful for all your attentions during our tour.
The natural beauties of Peru are amazing! Thank you for the good care that RAFAEL and IVAN provided (guides)
The service is excellent. Very good follow up during all the days we spent in Cusco. They always provide relevant information for each tour. They exceeded all my expectations. The vehicle we were assigned new, always clean and comfortable. Special mention to our driver Alain, who always took us safely and with great skill behind the wheel. Very patient and friendly always. Our guide Willy, the best!!! He has a great knowledge of Peru, its history and its culture. In each place he conveyed his love for Inca culture and nature. Very friendly and attentive at all times, taking care that we had amazing moments! Both, Willy and Alain, super punctual always!!! Really, the best, I highly recommend them!!
I went with friends and it was a wonderful experience, we had an incredibly good time, the organization of the itinerary was very good, from the first day they give you all your access organized by day, they give you recommendations of the places to eat, visit. They were very attentive all the time, as they were in contact always, remembering the activities of the next day at good time so you could prepare. I misplaced cash and they took it upon themselves to collect it and send it to me without problems. If you are looking for a comfortable, safe and fun experience this is your best option.
Wonderful trip, amazing agency staff, great guides who accompanied us. It was perfect, thanks for everything Kantu
