Good morning. I would like to share that my experience with the 6-day tour visiting the city of Cusco and Machu Picchu was exceptional. I really enjoyed it because I traveled alone and met many other tourists who were also traveling by themselves. The guide was very kind and helpful, and he guided me throughout the entire tour. The agency fulfilled everything that was promised. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

6D 5N Cusco with Rainbow Mountain Planning my Peru trip six months ago felt overwhelming, with numerous tour operators to choose from. After requesting a few quotes, I selected Kantu Tours based on their reviews and prompt respons and competitive pricing. I took the plunge and certainly made the right decision. They have been very professional from start to finish. I booked a 6 day / 5 night itinerary covering Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu (Vistadome train), Maras & Moray, and Rainbow Mountain, including accommodation. Every aspect of the tour was handled with professionalism and care. Communication was exemplary throughout. Punctual airport pickup to drop off, and every tour pickup was on time, Mary, who managed my booking, was efficient and responsive. David, my assigned Customer Service coordinator, met me on arrival and departure and sent a detailed WhatsApp update every evening outlining the next day’s schedule, timings, and requirements Our guides, Carlos and Raphael, were knowledgeable, engaging, and very helpful. IThe hotels arranged by Kantu Tours were of a high standard with good breakst choice even for vegetarians. If you are looking for a trustworthy, well‑coordinated, and genuinely customer‑focused local tour operator in Cusco, I would wholeheartedly recommend Kantu Tours. I could not fault any aspect of their arrangements.

We were happy to do this tour as it took a lot of guesswork and stress from our plate. Our rep Franklin sent detailed itineraries everyday that highlighted the activities of the day, approximate times, FAQ, recommended things to bring etc. The team really goes above and beyond eg. A rep met us at our hotel the night before the tour started to give us the rundown, and they answer the WhatsApp group fairly quickly and rectify potential problems quickly It is different groups and tour guides every day (unexpected for us since we thought we'd have one guide and group of people for the whole 6 days) so the quality of the tours highly depend on the guide you get that day. Our guides for Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley were awesome, the guide for Maras was only ok. For the most part the guides did great ensuring everyone in the group respected the times and we got adequate time for everything on the itinerary. Only small hiccups is again that it is different people each day so if there is a communication lapse it can get confusing. For example at Aguas Calientes the guy who took us to the hotel told us to meet him at the lobby 945. He never came and when we asked the Kantu rep another person was supposed to meet us at the bus stop but then that person had the wrong name on her whiteboard so we walked up and down trying to find her. Just something to consider there may be human error that makes things not so smooth sometimes. However the reps do their best to respond and fix problems quickly

Had a wonderful tour with Kantu tours. Everything from airport pick up to hotels and tour days was so well organised with Daniel making sure everything was perfect. Special shout out also to Wilson who drove us most days and Rafa who guided us the first couple of days, they were both excellent. And Joel who managed to get us all to the top of rainbow mountain with such patience.

Just finished a six day tour with Kantu and was blown away by how great this tour company was. Right from the get go in June when I initially booked the tour, I found Kantu to be highly organized and effecient. Every query was answered quickly and nothing was too much trouble . The six days spent in Cusco and Machu Picchu were amazing. Everyday brought something breath taking to see and experience and again everything was brilliantly organized. Every tour guide was enthusiastic and made sure everyone on the various tours had a great experience. A huge shout out to Daniel who every evening sent on the next day's programme and also took feedback on the activity of each day. Any query was answered professionally and quickly. So in conclusion if you want to see some of the amazing physical and cultural landscapes of part of Peru for a great price Kantu is the way to go. 10/10 A grade

My husband and I joined this tour. Our Lima to Cusco flight was an hour late, but we were being pick up at the airport right away when we arrived. Eddie was our tour coordinator. He called or meet with us every evening to make sure our day was going well, and also give us the information about the following day. All of our tour guides were knowledge and wonderful. We had a fantastic time Machu Picchu is amazing! We had a two hour guided tour, and our tour guide Catherine was wonderful. After the two hour guided tour, we re-enter again and hike two more hours. We had a really good time. I recommend this tour.

<p>I booked this tour via Viator and it was outsourced to Kantu Peru tours however when we went for the tours it was outsourced future with a number being done by Ecotours.</p> <p>The hotels were rather basic and so we paid a further usd60 each for better hotels </p> <p>Day 1- half day tour of Cusco.<br/> Hotel: los portales- nice interior. Close to temple of the sun. Small rooms, good breakfast.</p> <p>Tour- pick up was on . We then gathered at the cathedral and was split further into language based tours. Our guide was good. Also tours the temple of the sun, saysashuaman, taytambo and other sites outside Cusco </p> <p>Day2-sacred valley.<br/> Pick up poor- was punctual, drove around a bit to pick up the rest then was brought to a bigger bus parked outside the city. We then were told to get off as it was for a Spanish tour and joined the English tour when the smaller bus turned up. <br/> Our tour guide was below average, rather patronising and irritating.talked unnecessarily for most of the transfer which can only be described as verbal diarrhoea.</p> <p>We then were left in ollaytaytambo to walk to the train station to catch our Inca Peru train to Aguas calientes. I'm sure we were meant to be dropped of but they could be asked. We arrived in Aguas and the tour representatives wasn't there. We managed to find the hotel- inti puntu- average with basic room and was on the 5th floor with 8 flights of stairs. <br/> Our tour guide Jessie or Jessenia can to meet us at 7.30pm to explain the tour for Machu the next day- she was excellent and very professional </p> <p>Day3- Machu.</p> <p>This was an excellent tour thanks to Jessie. She was patient , knowledgeable and very professional. The tour went well. We finished at 9.45am after 2hours and 45 minutes. We then did the Inca trail to the sun gate. <br/> We took the 1612 back to ollaytaytambo and then another 2hours bus ride back to Cusco.</p> <p>Day 4 - Maras, moray, las salines.<br/> Hotel- royal Inka 1, great location, bigger rooms than los portales, good breakfast, complimentary welcome drinks and helpful staff. <br/> Tour guide was good and knowledgable.This tour was more cultural with a stop at Chichero to see some Quechuan culture/art making. </p> <p>Day5- rainbow mountain. This was an extra, again outsourced to Eco tours. 4.30am pick up then a 2hours travel followed by breakfast and then a further hour.Guide- average, talked about the hike, tips etc but little on the actually mountain. Nature or formation of colours. <br/> Lunch on the way back was average and via the 1hour bumpy roads and turns further two hours to Cusco.</p> <p>Day6- airport transferred. </p> <p>In all the hotel upgraded was a good idea but the price quoted is higher with the hotel upgrades and also with the addition of rainbow mountain.</p> <p>Guides vary between excellent to slight below average- could be better.<br/> pick up can be irritating with the drive around.</p>

We did many online searches for our Cusco tour, after many considerations finally booked through TripAdvisor. And Kantu Tour is the local tour operator for TripAdvisor. We are very pleased with our selection for the right amount of activity at right price. Once the tour is booked online, we communicated all details with Oscar through e-mail, when in Peru, the entire team (Edyy, Freddy and Eva) was very friendly and accommodating to meet our special request of interest. Add-on and up-grades from a basic package are easily done through Kantu. December suppose be rainy in Cusco, but we were so lucky, we only had couple hours of rain in our entire week long trip. Better yet, since it is not the high season, we had small tour group like a private tour to get personal treatment, and 0 wait time on bus to and back from Machu Picchu. In the high season 2 hours wait is likely. Edyy let us have his local cell phone for easy communication, however we had difficulty to use it. So go over any detail you feel you need before and during the tour with the Kantu team, to put away worries and just totally enjoy the trip. They made all the planning for this trip fun, exciting and organized. From the first consultation to the day of our return home. It all started with meeting them on their Instagram account. I was a little afraid to know that the government was limiting entrances to Machu Picchu but Mary was so kind to help me plan each day of my stay by sending me a personalized folder of what each activity included. 1 day: Waldir was so kind to send me an email welcoming me to Cusco and letting me know that from that moment on he was available to assist us with any questions/doubts or help we needed. My hotel includes airport transportation. It was not necessary to schedule this Service but it does include with Kantu. Afterwards Miss Mary was so kind to welcome us in person to our Hotel to review the itinerary of our 6 day tour. 2 days: City Tour Our guide Juan was very friendly and very professional in sharing his knowledge about the history of the Incas and how they formed the city of Cusco. 3 days: Machu Picchu Our driver Edilberto was very friendly and very cordial in our course from Cusco to the train station and from the station to Cusco. Afterwards our guide Liz was very friendly waiting in hot waters to start our tour in Machu Pichu. Upon entering our guide Karol took a while but was very friendly and always attentive to any questions we had about explaining the story about Machu Picchu. P.S. is a good photographer. Then we were fired at the restaurant where it includes lunch after the Machu Picchu tour. 4 day: Humantay lagoon Our guide Gorki was very friendly and friendly. From morning I sent a message letting us know that he was already on his way to pick us up at our hotel. It was very attentive at all times as it is activated is a bit difficult as the height and the path is complicated to walk. He was always on the lookout for every person in the group. 5 day: Maras Moray We had scheduled the 7-color Mountain tour but due to the height and difficulty of the activity we decided to change the activity and Waldir was so kind to modify the last minute itinerary and plan Maras Moray. It was a success. We felt very comfortable knowing that we still had a plan B. Our guide Mihai was very funny and very friendly. All the time he was very attentive and very professional in communicating his knowledge of the salt maras and in the history about the Moray archaeological site. 6 day: Transfer to airport Waldir was very attentive in scheduling the pickup time to take us to the airport on our return home. It was very helpful in saying goodbye and asking if everything was okay in our stay in the city and open to any comments or observations for the better the Service of the travel agency. Everything was amazing. The guides knew and knew what they were talking about, explained in detail all the places we were going, were ready to hear our doubts or questions. They did their best to feel comfortable, and we really felt comfortable throughout the stay with them, they make sure every detail is Covered which gives you some security. Highly recommended especially when you want to do long tours or demanding activities.
