We had a great 5-day experience with Kantu Peru Tours. From start to finish, everything was completely taken care of—all our pickups, tours, and hotels were seamlessly arranged. Doing this itinerary on our own would have been far more complicated and taken significantly more time. Our main contact, Jhon, was fantastic. He checked in with us regularly via WhatsApp and sent a quick message every evening to confirm the next day's schedule. He was extremely helpful and even accommodated a couple of last-minute adjustments we requested. The hotels selected for us were very comfortable (a few nights in Cusco and one in Aguas Calientes). Visiting in October was a great choice—the crowds were manageable, weather relatively cool, but the atmosphere was still vibrant. While 5 days was a great length for us, if you want to explore Cusco or Machu Picchu at a more relaxed pace, I’d recommend adding an extra day or two. Overall, we were thrilled with the trip and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kantu Peru Tours to anyone planning a visit to Peru!

We were impressed with our experience in Peru. We stayed in Cusco and visited Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Maras Moray and other places. Our transfers and guides were always on time and very organized. I would recommend this tour but upgrade your accommodations. All hotels were very clean but small and very basic. We had excellent service from David of Kantu Tours. All tours, transfers, tickets and hotels were arranged by him. He provided us with all tickets and a printed itinerary. He was in contact with us on a daily basis with WhatsApp. If we come to the Cusco area again we will use Kantu Tours. Highly recommended service. Thank you David.

We are definitely coming back to Cusco to explore more. We stayed 5 nights and were taken care of from the airport to the airport, we visited many ancient Incan and Preincan sites with knowledgeable tour guides who explained well in both Spanish and English according to our needs. They were knowledgeable and approachable. For the cost of this trip and the breadth of experiences and the ease I am very pleased with this purchase. The tour buses are quite large and could accommodate up to 13 people if you had a group that large.

This was a very well organized, professional 5-day tour from the first contact on the Web to the last handshake at the airport. The archeological site visits were made that much more meaningful thanks to the in-depth knowledge of Inca history of our guide Cristian. It was also easy to establish a good rapport with him, which is important given the time spent together. We felt very safe on the road with our driver, Mr. Wilson, and the vehicles were clean and well maintained. Since we visited at the end of November, there were not too many tourists, and we were lucky with the weather at Machu Picchu. I would highly recommend Kantu Tours, and felt that the private format was well worth the price as the focus is exclusively on your own needs and preferences and the attention is highly personalized.

Our private tour in Cusco with Kantu Tours was beyond amazing. Cristian, our guide, was more than just knowledgeable about Andean culture and Peruvian history — he quickly became our friend. Every site felt like paradise, from Machu Picchu to the breathtaking hikes at Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake. The included meals were delicious, with excellent vegan and vegetarian options. What makes Kantu Tours stand out is how much they care. When my son lost his phone, Cristian became our hero — spending two days and even a full day in Machu Picchu to recover it. Kantu Peru Tour was the best. The company coordinated very efficiently and the choice of hotels and restaurants were also good. The service provided by the guides and driver made me feel very special. I like history and particularly Rafael's knowledge around the history was very impressive. Wilson, my driver, was very attentive to get on the board of the Perurail's train. It supposed to be just a drop off at the train station, but there was a contract negotiation between the Perurail and the local contract workers. I used Google translator to communicate with Wilson and he helped me to get through the line. It was frustrating as I waited for more than 3 hours outside standing. At the Machu Picchu station, other people from the company helped me to get the ride a right bus efficiently. Other guides also very helpful and I really had wonderful unforgettable 5 Day tour!

Our tour was amazing from start to finish. Every guide was thorough, friendly and showed us the amazing beauty that Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu had to offer. Special thank you to Richard in Cusco and Samanta organising everything and communicating with us through Whatsapp. The entire trip was very well organised and I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I would note would be definitely taking some time to adjust to the altitude in Cusco before embarking on the tour. We came from Lima and had a bit of a rough time to start but were quickly adjusted by day 2. Thank you again!

Loved this experience!! Franklin, who was my customer service guide, was so helpful and very communicative. Every day was so informative and had incredible guides. Machu pichu is beautiful and doing an added climb up Machu Pichu was incredible- it’s self guided so you have to go alone but it’s very doable (it took 1.5 hours one way and mostly uphill at a high altitude). Make sure to bring a swim suit to aguas calientes for the one night stay as they have hot springs (but was quite crowded and not natural, also was a bit dirty). All the hotel options were good, sometimes a little loud depending on the day, but overall a truly amazing experience and I would highly recommend working with Kantu tours!

This experience was amazing. From start to finish. The organization of everything was spot on. From being met at the airport and the timing of being met by our guides for the arranged tours. Our guide Marcos Anthony was full of fascinating information and took us around areas explaining the history. This was 6 hours of a great introduction to where we were. Next day we had Nora, a lovely guide taking us to the Sacred Valley and on to Ollantaytambo. Amazing sites. Here we were then transported to Augas Calientes where we were met at the train station and escorted to our hotel. Lovely accommodation provided. Our guide Edguido made contact introducing himself and making arrangements for meeting us the next day for our journey to Machupichu. Wow! His knowledge and the surrounds are a sight to behold. Our private tour guide was fantastic We really loved the personal service and dedication to making our experience magical. We took the train back to Ollantaytambo, again met and driven back to Cusco. The next day was our final day. Picked up at our hotel and bused to Maras and Moray. Our guide was once again, amazing. We saw so many amazing sites in and around Cusco and Machupichu that we need and day or two to let it all sink in. We were met promptly at our hotel and escorted back to the airport for our journey back to Lima. Our hearts filled with precious memories that will last a lifetime. Kantu tours are wonderful to deal with and we highly recommend them for making everything run so smoothly.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our 5 day private tour to Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Maras, Moray and Chinchero. The staff was well coordinated from our transportation pickup to and from the airport, to our train and bus rides. They made us very comfortable and not to worry about anything but just have fun. The service was seamless, all our transfers, tours and hotels were ready for us and both the driver and guide were friendly. A special mention to our driver Diego, his driving was great and at no time did we feel unsafe! He was also very polite and helpful and helped make our holiday great! Our guide Willy was friendly and informative and very knowledgeable but would have been nice to have been given more tips on how to navigate the area when not on the tours. We opted for the 4 star hotels and stayed at the Sonesta in both the sacred valley and Cusco, both were comfortable, clean, had great service and amazing food.

Peru is a beautiful country and Kantu Tours was the icing on the cake! They were prompt with transportation (pickup and drop offs) and their customer service (especially Waldir) was A+. We had an issue with our hotel and they immediately rectified it. The tour guides were knowledgeable and a lot of fun. They frequently checked in to make sure everyone was managing ok with the altitude or if there was rugged terrain. Kantu did an amazing job to set up a private tour for my wife and I with only a few weeks notice before we arrived in Peru. Everything was very smooth, on-time and extremely enjoyable for us. We were met as soon as we arrived in Cusco and given our information sheet with all the times, tickets and things we needed to know. Everything happened exactly as it was supposed to. Our two guides were both very knowledgeable and (importantly!) good fun! We packed a lot into the tour and we were exhausted by the end of it but it was all very memorable. I would definitely use them again.

They were very flexible and worked with us when we wanted to change plans during our 5 ay private tour. We had an incredible guide Willie who was full of information and listened to our needs. Turned out that altitude sickness was a real deal for me so Willie suggested an alternative that did not involve hiking and that turned out to be even better as he took us to some real nuggets we did not initially consider. Price-wise, our group of 4 got a fantastic deal--they picked us up at the airport and then showed up at our hotel promptly the day after and were always on time. You will not go wrong with this operator, from our experience.

We are a family of 3 (and still currently on the 3rd day of our tour) but I just could not wait to leave a review. Kantu Peru Tours is an AMAZING company - but what made our trip perfect was actually our tour guide: Jhonatan. He is highly knowledgeable, super fun and easy-going, extremely organized and punctual. I feel so proud having him as our tour guide because whenever other tourists pass by I see them stopping and listening to what he has to say because their tour guide didn't give them the same stories, trivias and detailed information - the way that Jhonatan did with us. Biggest plus as well is that our 12-year old son enjoys all his stories and can't wait to see him again tomorrow for the 4th day of our tour! From the airport pickup, activities, hotel choices and restaurant recommendations - Kantu is THE company to book. If you can somehow get Jhonatan as your guide - then you're golden. He's topnotch. We are a well-traveled group that enjoys private tours versus public tours in the countries that we visit. We desire to see the off the beaten path places to go versus the tourist areas, and we crave the local knowledge a guide can bring to the equation to make the experience truly remarkable. Kantu Peru delivered on every aspect of this with their custom trip. We were greeted at the airport by our guide Wilfredo (Willy) and our driver Edilberto (Alberto), who spent the next five days with us showing us the city of Cusco, traveling down the Sacred Valley, visiting Machu Picchu and traversing Rainbow Mountain. Along the way, Will shared his knowledge of the Incan people and civilization, his love of his country and his origins, and the beauty of their landscape. He was especially attentive to our desire to keep ahead of the packs of tourists, and we were able to get to Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain extremely early in the morning, allowing us access and pictures with literally nobody there. Alberto was always warm and agreeable, greeting us every morning and working his tail off to get us to our locations on time. We enjoyed several meals with them and look forward to keeping in touch. Rommel, our sales person at Kantu, was fantastic in helping us arrange the entire thing and getting us local clinicians to take care of COVID testing at our hotel, making it extremely convenient for us to continue our journey unabated. I would highly, highly recommend these folks if you are considering a trip to Machu Picchu or Rainbow Mountain. In all of our travels, I would put this group up there with the best of the private tour operators we have worked with.

First, it is worth noting that it was a journey of all brothers. We spent a week under Kantu's planning. The experience was excellent, unforgettable. A week to remember. First, Willy's knowledge is impressive. At every walk what I taught of the site and the story was impressive. At Machu Picchu we were with Harold. Also, a lot of knowledge and desires to transmit the culture of the site. Planning the walks, perfect. I don't know what else to say, Kantu and his people, highly recommended.

I would like to leave a very complete report for Brazilians who go to Cusco! Kantu is the most complete company in the city of Cusco, everyone is extremely concerned about serving tourists, they provide the best experience you will have in Cusco! Think about people who are worried about you. We were extremely well received by Walmir and the driver who accompanied us Ualmir, they are outstanding people! Our experience in Cusco was marked by good service, attention, concern, responsibility and excellent service delivery. We took 4 tours with Kantu, all of which were impeccable! We had 2 days left in our schedule and we ended up closing with an agency in the center of Cusco (there are several), but it didn't match the commitment and delivery of excellence we had with Kantu. My recommendation, if you are in doubt, go with Kantu, I'm sure you won't regret it! I wish everyone at Kantu much success and prosperity with your business, it is a unique company in Cusco.
