We had an amazing time with Visit South America! The local guides were great and everything was perfectly arranged. Would go with them in other countries as well. Loved exploring Peru

The tour guide to Machu Picchu (Gregory) was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He provided excellent support and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Thank you!"
The visit to Macchu Picchu was excellent & very well organised. We met Hilda at 6am in our hotel lobby, and she made it totally seamless for us, from getting us to the queue for the bus, and getting all the tickets done. She took us up the trail to take photos st dunrise. She made the hike enjoyable & fun, and pointed out plants and local culture to us. Then Gregory took over about 2 hours later, taking us through the old ruins of Macchu Picchu. He was very knowledgeable and patient, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. It was a bit of a walk, but we always felt safe and well taken care of by these guides. Pleaae ask for them if you go! Excellent experience!
Great experience so far. Well understood historical background. Guild is also really kind. Best trip so far. Strongly recommend for everyone especially who want to restrain cost and enjoy trip with different languages. By the way my guild was really good at taking pictures.
Machu Picchu guided tour was absolutely the highlight! Guide Gregory did an amazing job explaining the history of the place and sharing the local culture with us. It was absolutely worth it to enter the site at 6 am.
We couldn't recommend this tour company more! All tours to sacred valley, machu picchu, rainbow mountain, and humantay lake were done promptly and professionally. All our tour guides were extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the sites, particularly Alberto. He was so friendly and caring and gave us so much information about the history of Peru. He took the most beautiful photos of us which we will cherish forever.
Peru is such a beautiful country, and Cusco is the cherry on top. So much history, culture and extraordinary gastronomy. The best part of Visit South America is the amazing guides they have, all were great but discovering the Sacred Valley with Noe was the best experience by far, he takes UNBELIEVABLE pictures and knows all the secrets of the region. Please don’t miss out on the oportunity to explore Cusco and it’s sorroundings with him. Gregorio is also another gem you should enjoy. He was my guide for discovering Machu Picchu, he was absolutely amazing as well. He answered all my questions and shared with me all the details about his heritage and Inca culture. My only suggestion would be for the agency to have a bit better communication, I was permanently worried every night about my plans for the upcoming day and had to contact them myself to get the details of next day’s itinerary. They also forgot to mention that it’s a MUST to bring your passport to Machu Picchu, I was lucky enough to vbe carrying an electronic copy in my cellphone, if not I would have missed the tour. Thanks so much for everything guys!
Fantastic adventure/vacation ! Sights, sounds and people all spectacular. Our guides were knowledgeable, fun and great people to spend time with. A well curated adventure, phenomenal support and I recommend Visit South America enough to tell you I’m saving for an adventure in Rio with VSA
BOOK IT! This was the trip of a lifetime and I am so glad I booked through Visit South America. Especially traveling as a group of young women, they made every part of the trip safe, easy, fun, and authentic! Their whole team will work with you closely to make transportation seamless and they have tons of resources at all hours if any problems arise. They are able to tailor the trips to meet your needs and have incredible local tips to help you avoid crowds, they made me feel like anything I wanted to do was possible but also kept my plans realistic so I was able to have a mix of adventures and hikes while having time to relax and recharge. I took incredible photos that I will cherish for the rest of my life. One of our tour guides they arranged for us found out it was my birthday and during that day called the local restaurant they planned to stop at for lunch to make a small birthday cake before we arrived. Such small touches that show everyone they work with is passionate about showing you an unforgettable personal experience. I can't recommend them enough! Be sure to fit in a stay at mountain view resort if possible, it is every animal lovers dream!!!
This was an unforgettable experience. Aiben was an amazing guide who was super informative and was a great laugh! The food was amazing and all the staff involved were super friendly and supportive. I would recommend to all.
A really great experience! Our tour guide Aiben was really informative and encouraging, bear in mind that the hike on day two is quite tough and mainly uphill. The food was delicious and very plentiful, the chef catered very well to vegetarians.
Aiben was an amazing tour guide and motivated everyone to complete the Inca trail. He got involved with all of the group.
I’ve been wanting to do this tour / visit Machu Picchu all my life. Aiben and the team made my trip extra special, and I was extremely happy to have completed a life long dream with them. Aiben was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about inka history and cultures, which made the trip entertaining and informative.
Planned the trip less than a week in advance and the people at VSA were very helpful and accommodating even with such short notice. Very responsive to questions and concerns before and during the trip. Tour guides were great, very approachable and overall nice people which made the trip even better. Places we visited were amazing and usually were the first ones arriving at the very touristy locations so we had the place to ourselves before the large crowds arrived.
Excellent company to book your tours . You will not go wrong! We had the opportunity to have the most amazing guide (Noe) for our private tours. We became friends after days of traveling together. He is so knowledgeable about all the sites we visited. They have everything organized to the tee. They pick you up and drop you off and organize your meals. They are all extremely friendly. I am very particular about traveling and they made my trip hassle free. Don’t look elsewhere this company is the one to use .
We had the best experience in the Cusco region with VSA! Every guide and driver was so friendly, personable, and helpful! We absolutely loved how personal our tour felt. While other guides from big buses yelled “bus 72 meet here at noon” our guide Noah (the GOAT!!!) extended our stay at the spot because we loved it so much. While other bus lines probably went to some buffet, Noah asked us our preferences to give us the best local restaurant options and even took us to a local’s home for lunch. While we stood up at the top of rainbow mountain all by ourselves, we saw hundreds of people making their way up the trail after being dropped off by big buses. Ohhh and Machu Picchu!!! We were one of the first ones in the citadel which was surreal! Noah was so knowledgeable and so patient as he took as many photos of us as we wished LOL. We ended up not wanting to do the lake on the last day and Noah was so accommodating! He gave us a tour around Cusco that day instead and it was amazing! Honestly this tour was everything we wanted and more! So personal. You can feel how much VSA and the guides care about providing you the best experience possible and next time I’m down in South America they’ll be the first people I contact to get my plans started! Thank you so much for such an amazing experience!
I had no idea what to except coming to Cusco and I definitely was not prepared for the altitude sickness but Noah and the VSA team were super accommodating. I almost backed out of the experience because of how I bad I felt from the altitude sickness and I'm so glad I didn't because it turned out to be my favorite part of the whole trip. Noah is very knowledgable and taught me a lot about the history of Machu Picchu during our tour. He also took some amazing photos of me and my girlfriends which is priceless. I also really appreciate how he suggested us to go to Rainbow Mountain at the perfect time because we ended up getting there before the rush. He also coordinated horses for us which was a lifesaver once we got there. He also brought us blankets for the ride there so we can sleep through the long trek up to the mountain. Lastly, he packed us meals and even surprised us with a home made lunch after Rainbow Mountain which was delicious. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to see the best of Cusco. Thank you Noah and VSA for an unforgettable time!
Choosing to do Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain with Visit South America was the best decision our group could have made for ourselves for our Peru trip! I just got back from the trip with 4 of my girlfriends, and VSA showed us hospitality unlike anything I've ever experienced from a tour company before. They organized every last detail from transfers and blankets for cold, long car rides, to a home-cooked meal by a local chef after our Rainbow Mountain adventure, and even an in-hotel room covid test prior to our departure back home. As 4 women traveling in a new country, it meant so much to us that they ensured we were well taken care of and warmly welcomed by all staff and partners. Our guide, Noah, was so knowledgeable, kind, and considerate. He's also a very talented photographer to boot, so he helped us find the most photogenic spots and he even snapped some amazing photos of us as well. He made us feel so comfortable, and spending time with him felt like spending time with an old friend whom we'd known for a long time. I have a massive (sometimes debilitating) fear of heights, and that includes a fear of associated effects, like altitude sickness. But despite that, Noah went well out of his way to make sure I felt safe and comfortable, and I couldn't have done any of the adventures (especially not Rainbow Mountain, which sits at 17,000 ft above sea level) without his expertise and his truly comforting and considerate nature. Small things, like checking on me regularly and reminding me to focus on my breathing, were exactly the kind of aid I needed to push me through. He even carried my heavy camera backpack for me for the steep walk up, because he knew the additional weight would be a struggle for me at such an altitude. When I say I couldn't have done it without him, I mean it quite literally! I am so thankful for the shared experience with VSA, Noah, and all of their staff and partners, and I couldn't recommend any company or team of people more! I feel like I left Peru not only with amazing memories, images, and experiences under my belt, but most importantly, with lifelong friends whom I will call upon (and definitely hire again) whenever we go back!
We recently returned from our Peru trip. We visited for 9 days and booked two tours with Visit South America. We booked the Paracas & Huacachina tour as well as the 4day bundle that includes Machu Picchu. The tours were private. The prices were reasonable and the service was wonderful. We had a driver taking us to all the best places around Cusco, as well as a guide. We had Alvaro for the Sacred Valley day tour who was very knowledgeable and super nice. For the rest of the days, our guide was Noah. He was amazing! It was also a bonus that he’s a great photographer. My husband and him took SO MANY photos. Of course, shout-out to our driver Jose who always go us everywhere safe. Traffic in Peru is so chaotic. I absolutely recommend this company to everyone. I’ve told all my friends wanting to visit Peru to reach out to this agency. They take care of anything you need. Before the trip, I had many question and the owner (Hilton) was on the phone with me for an hour going over the itinerary. I have no complaints, just gratitude 🙏🏼. Thank you to the VSA team for a spectacular time!
Visit South America was really able to come through for us in designing a customized tour to cover Peru and Bolivia in five days, this was only possible through their strong network of guides, hotels and ability to book flights with perfect timing. And everything was executed perfectly, with guides and drivers waiting at airports, hotels and train stations. Our first point of contact was with Hilton who followed up well with suggestions and printed itineraries summarizing what was discussed, and he followed up with a phone call before the trip to ensure all our questions were answered and provided us packing lists and visa information. We were then met in Bolivia by Jeff who picked us up after midnight from the airport for our 45 minute drive to the hotel and took care of us there. We'd like to thank the female guide in Machu Picchu who came prepared with a binder of pictures and historical explanations for us to see visually, and was very patient with us and helped us take pictures, and also Rafa and Jose who were our guide and driver and quickly responded to our request to see the catholic churches, town centre and local market before going to train for Machu Picchu (which we greatly appreciated), and the car was in exquisite condition too. Also thanks to our wonderful guide and driver (Joel and the other gentleman) who took care of us all the way up to Rainbow Mountain early in the morning so we were the first ones there to take beautiful pictures with no other tourists, and watched our time to return to the airport in time for an afternoon flight. We also had some altitude sickness to which Joel came prepared with oxygen cans and coca tea. We were extremely fortunate to have Henry as our very experienced driver and Paola our guide for our three-day Uyuni tour. They were very responsive and flexible to what we wanted to see and made very sincere and genuine effort to accommodate us from early morning to late night. Henry has over twenty years tour experience and we felt very safe with his knowledge of areas to traverse, and he was able to take us to the dry parched salt flats as well as the wet mirrored salt flats for all-around effects (including bringing us boots). Paola suggested good picture-taking angles and techniques and brought along props which gave us great pictures and videos as memories. I can't say enough about this team as we also went to the amazingly red Laguna Colorado and volcanic rocks area. The food that Henry's wife prepared was delicious and we felt the tour was well worth being private and customized for our preferences. The Atix hotel is a very nice hotel with excellent service and a nice breakfast, and the Palacio de Sal is a modern equipped full-service hotel with some business centre services at front desk. We had no problem at all with the English-speaking guides. Also special mention to the nice driver who picked us up from the Atix hotel to La Paz airport, he was very kind in taking the scenic route and stopping at the top of the hill for panoramic views of the city to ensure we could see as much of La Paz before departing - what a great guy! Visit South America tour company will work hard to accommodate schedules and preferences and we very much appreciate them for that. Thank you so very much Hilton and Jeff!
South America is a vast continent to travel alone. I wanted to explore Bolivia and Peru’s unbelievable natural beauty of the Andes. Trusting @VisitSouthAmerica ’s almost perfect scenes on Instagram, it made me book two tours with them. 3D2N Salar de Uyuni and 4D Cusco. Browsing thru their informative website plus responsive WhatsApp communications, it was easier to convince myself. As a solo traveler, I want optimum adventure in most practical value. Given that their prices is extraordinary, I bet for the optimum experience. I am a 101% satisfied customer. We are ALWAYS the FIRST to reach all the places! So before it gets crowded, I already enjoy the serenity, peace and calmness. It was a joy to see people arriving by the time we are leaving... :) What I imagined was greatly exceeded by the professional, knowledgeable and elite private tour guides, I have to mention and thank them again! Uyuni, Bolivia - Jaime Sacred Valley - Mike Machu Picchu - Rosemarie Humantay Lake - Jhimy Rainbow Mt - Noah & of course to all the drivers too! I have never been more satisfied in a rustic yet wonderful natural adventures (beside The Philippines’s Palawan Island), it is because of the whole team of VSA, the logistics, planning, premium transportation, information, photography, all in one package! Oh wait, there’s more! It was my pleasure to hangout and became friends with VSA gang Hilton, Jeff, Noah and Lizeth, the coolest, genuine guys who’s doing an incredibly excellent job! My mind and soul was greatly influenced to return and explore more! I will surely come back for Colombia & Patagonia! Muchas gracias VisitSouthAmerica.Co!
I definitely recommend booking your tours through VSA. I did 4 tours with them and all their tour guides were great. They were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the tour they were giving and even became photographers as well. Joel was a great cheerleader as I went up rainbow mountain. I have to highlight one tour guide who went above and beyond my expectations: Noah, he was truly AMAZING. Aside from being our tour guide he made great recommendations for food and places to visit during our free time and was available for any questions or concerns we had. Aside from being a great tour guide I'm truly thankful for Noah because he ensured I arrived safely to my airbnb after my flight was canceled and I was stuck at the airport alone at night. Not only did he arrange transportation from the airport he made sure I got the correct airbnb and that it was a safe place. I do not know what I would have done with out him. I am Verdaderamente agradecida because I'm sure that is not part of his job description, yet he was there when I most needed help. I thought I was S.O.L. but Noah was my saving grace. VSA has met and definitely exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to book another trip through them. I've had such a positive experience that I'm already making plans to visit again.
The Team at Visit South America was great. Noah really made sure all of our needs were met and was available for last minute accommodations as well. We felt safe and valued, as Noah assured we were aware of day to day plans and helped us prep for the experiences. THE ENTIRE TEAM WAS GREAT (no joke)! I will definitely be using VSA again when touring South America learning about its history and beauty.
We did the four day tour provided by the VSA tour group. In short, the experience was brilliant. The days start quite early, sometimes as early as 2am to 2:30am. The benefit of this, if you're prepared for such an early start, is that you tend to reach rather popular destinations (such as Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain) before other tourists crowd the area. This is great if you want to take some nice photos before hundreds of people arrive. VSA was quite accommodating. We were able to take a rest day in the middle of the four day tour so that we could relax and spend some time walking around the main Cusco city area. Hilton and Jeff were friendly. Hilton went above and beyond in answering questions both about the tour and the general area before we flew in. It's clear that they go to great efforts to provide exceptional customer service to the travellers attending their tours. Thank you again to the whole VSA crew for a fun time and a very memorable Peru trip. Enjoy the rest of your year.
Visit South America, and their team is the best travel company I have ever worked with in planning a trip!!! Not only did they exceed my expectations, but they went above and beyond in making our Peru vacation a dream come true! During our 9-day custom trip, we had several tour guides (Rolando, Brenda, Maiki, and Noah) they were all very knowledgeable, fun, organized in a timely manner, informative, and attentive. We visited National Reserve, Sacred Valley, Huacachina in which we did sandboarding (sooo much fun), Humantay Laguna, Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain. All these places are a MUST go, very scenic and magical. I can't think VSA enough for their hospitality! I can't wait for my future trips with you guys. - Andrea
I had a wonderful experience on the 4D Cusco bundle. The guides were very kind and I appreciated the early wake-ups to beat the crowds. I had only a short time in Cusco and am very satisfied with what I was able to see. Thank you!!
Our itinerary was well curated with the help of the wonderful Sofia. She was so patient and accommodating as we went back and forth on the perfect itinerary. Her insights and recommendations were so helpful. The entire experience from Machu Picchu to the Sacred Valley to Cusco to Humantay Lake exceeded all of our expectations. The accommodations and food were 5-star, and all of the guides were excellent. I truly recommend booking your next trip with Visit South America. Hilton did a great job with his team. We had a time!
Visit South America and their team is the BEST!!!! We were welcomed with open arms from the moment we landed! Hilton scheduled a taxi for us to be picked up at the airport in Cusco. The man was holding a sign up with our names, which made it super easy for us to find our ride. Hilton and Jeff met with us and caught us up to speed with the culture and vibe of the city. They helped us book our tours to Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain and The Sacred Valley Tour. The whole experience was incredible and stress free. The tours get you there before the big crowds arrive. This allowed our group to enjoy all the beautiful sights of Peru. We had lots of time to take memorable photos and videos! The VSA team was extremely professional and responsive! Anytime we reached out, we got a reply in a short amount of time! When we had questions or concerns we felt assured they would be there to help. They provided many recommendations post tours as well, such as restaurants, night life and places to shop for the best deals in town! Overall the experience we had with this company was beyond satisfactory! They make sure to go Above and Beyond to ensure you have the best experience possible while visiting Peru! BOOK NOW!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT! :) 10/10
We used VisitSouthAmerica.Co to book the Cusco 4 day bundle this August (sacred valley, machu pichu, lake humantay, rainbow mountain) and we had a GREAT experience. This tour company was very organized and fairly priced. Tour guides were very knowledgeable about all sites, as well as super friendly and great photographers. (Noah was awesome and fun). Driver would pick us up on time. There was frequent communication between us and the tour guide for any questions we had. I would 10/10 recommend this company if you are looking for some great hikes in Peru!!!!!!!!
I never write reviews but I found myself needing to write one for VSA. The staff is amazing. 1) Let's start off with the Founder of VSA, Hilton. The man took the time to help orient me to my tour and started me off on what I needed to know to prepare for the 4 days. It was refreshing to know that while he's busy working in another country, he took the time to speak to me over WhatsApp to welcome me! Thank you! 2) Noah: Noah was our guide for Sacred Valley (Maras, Moray, and Ollantaytambo). He was accommodating, patient, fun, very knowledgeable, and great at taking pictures. He definitely made our time in Sacred Valley so precious. It was like we were just hanging out with our friend that showed us the best picture taking spots while educating us on the history of Sacred Valley. Our driver, Gerardo, was also very pleasant. Even though we had a language barrier, the man was very sweet and made sure he opened the door for us! 3) Javier: Javier was awesome! Even though he's been doing the Machu Picchu tour for so many years, his passion and knowledge in sharing about the Incas still felt powerful! He has so much charisma and the transitions from sharing about the Incas to taking photos was amazing. He would wait for the best time to take our photos (which by the way was phenomenal) and then go back to sharing. He's very theatrical and it made learning about the Incas so much more meaningful. 4) Joel: Joel was our guide for two days: The trek to Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain! This guy was the hardest working guide I've ever met. On both days, he came to pick us up from the hotel around 2:30am-3:30am and he trekked about 3-4 hours while my friend and I opted for horses because the altitude and weather was killing us. Even after a hard trek and lack of sleep, Joel would still be in great spirits in making sure we were taken care of. He would always check in on our altitude sickness, get us to our destinations on time, and he made sure our photos were picture-perfect! Our drivers for both days, Hugo and Roy, were also very sweet, pleasant, and great gentlemen in opening our doors! My overall experience was awesome. The tour package made sure we got to our destinations at PRIME TIMES when not much people are around so we can actually experience our destinations to its full capacity. Even though we needed to get up early for some of these tours, it was all so worth it! Their two days of provided breakfast and lunch was awesome and quite the experience because the restaurants we went to was so authentic to Peru and the Inca experience. I recommend VSA to ANYONE who wants to do the 4 day tour. There was never a worry about how we were going to get to our destinations because of their provided transportation for us. All my friends are asking me about VSA because they saw how much fun and great pictures we had because of our awesome guides! Words cannot express the experience we had and we definitely owe it to VSA's awesome staff. If I were to visit another country in South America, I will definitely book with VSA.
Love this company! I first got in contact with Jeff from Visit South America. I had questions about traveling to different parts of South America and he recommended Peru and Bolivia because of the weather and incredible places to visit. I finally decided to visit Peru and it was the best decision! My friends and me had a blast exploring with the VSA team Noah, Sofia, and Hilton were so helpful and very friendly with any questions we had and advice we needed. I honestly don’t think our time in Cusco specifically would have been so great without this team! They took us to the best restaurants and recommended a bunch of different cute coffee shops and shops we could visit even after our tour had ended! They were always a text away. Oh, and the food that we were served during each tour was delicious! Thank you so much for making this trip one to remember! <3
I took a tour to Humantay lake hike, Its was a wonderful experience I had ever seen, the lake is the best view with turquoise colour and the surrounding glacier is also awesome. Hiking up is so hard but absolutely worth it !! I took excellent pictures 💛👍 Visit South America definitely was the best option to book and enjoying a great adventure. Thank you to Noah and Jeff for the great trip!
Had a great experience with our guide Mike, he was knowledgeable and patient with us. Helped us with our altitude sickness too!! Do request for him if you are taking up this tour as you might be assigned different tour guides throughout the trip.
This is definitly the best trip I have ever had .Machu Picchu is a beautiful place with a rich culture my tour was a nice experience. I had Javi as my tourist guide an excellent person also a good photographer. Rainbow Montain was an amazing trek.I f you reach the top.don't miss Red Valley too. Dear friends I would love to return again, thank you for everything my best wishes for you Regards Valentino
I want to thank you for all the attention we received from the VSA team. Thanks to our guides Rafael in Cusco, Jimmy our super mountain guide, who was always motivating our traking. Javier in Machu Pichu, who told us the history of this site and the Inca culture with an incredible passion and pride. The drivers, Don Gerardo and Don Edgar, who delighted us with a little Quechua. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to visit such majestic and unique sites. For letting us know and share with us, the wonderful gastronomy they have. Thank you so much for the perfect coordination in each of the Tours. Thank you so much.
The services are impressive transport, punctuality , comfort the hotels suggested and especially the staff that accompanied us to each adventure were very friendly with much knowledge of each place and always watching us willing to help us Wilfredo, Javier and Joel the best guides Ever !!
We could not have chosen a better agency to do the tours in cusco. Service, attention and punctuality are unbeatable. Jeff, Noa and Lucas are very helpful, friendly and have great knowledge in local history. They have great knowledge in the way of doing tours, which guarantees not to meet large crowds and make the most of the places. His suggestions in restaurants were always very accurate.
