Roger and Danilo were amazing guides. Chef Senobio created an amazing menu for us for the entire stay. Unforgettable experience

The whole trip was just amazing! Everything was so well planned and thought through. The staff was lovely, our guide taught us a lot about the Incas! The food was exceptional, it was incredible what they cooked in the tent kitchen. The hike itself was great as well, day 2 the hardest, but with enough brakes it was doable for the whole group. Thank you so much for this great experience! 10/10 would recommend!
Very excellent trip experience
I had an amazing time with the 4 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Our guides, Roger and Danilo, were amazing. They told us a lot about the history during the Inca trail and made sure we enjoyed the journey as much as the final destination. Our chef Senobio created amazing dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner which was so nice after a long day of hiking. Our porters were also the best, they carried our luggage, made the tents and helped in any way possible that everything was taken care off. I definitely recommend going on this journey with trexperience, their group made this an unforgettable experience.
We had a great experience at the Inca Trail with Trexperience and our lovely guides Yovan and Renée. The trip was professionally organised, the food was amazing, the trail itself was amazing and the guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
I had an amazing experience with TreXperience on the 4-day / 3-night Classic Inca Trail! It's definitely a challenging trek, with some tough uphill climbs, steep descents and high altitude, but absolutely worth every step! Everything was really well organised, and the whole team was fantastic. A special thanks to our head guide Daniel, chef Celso and head porter Benedicto, as well as the entire team who made this adventure so memorable. The food was simply incredible! I honestly don't know how the chefs managed to prepare such delicious meals with such limited equipment and resources in the mountains. Huge respect to them and the porters who work so hard behind the scenes. The only small downside was the repeated emphasis on tipping the guides, chefs and porters before the trek had even started. I completely appreciate their hard work, but I felt this could have been communicated differently. And the pre-trek briefing could perhaps be a little more streamlined and efficient. Overall, a fantastic experience, a great group, an amazing team and an unforgettable journey to Machu Picchu. I would absolutely recommend TreXperience! My 5th World Wonder!
The local guides Daniel, Lurdes and Alberto did a good job explaining everything about the Inca culture and helped us with the hiking. Also, the food couldn’t be any better from chef Celso. Everyday another tasteful meal. Special thanks to the porters with head porter Benedicto who set up all the tents and helped carrying the luggage.
The organisation was very good, the walking trail was stunning and very steep & difficult but the views were fabulous. We were the slow couple of the group & the guides Nilton & Luis were very attentive & supportive & were excellent. The group was great fun & made the journey memorable. The wet weather did dampen our arrival at Machu Picchu but it was still a spectacular site. It is not an easy tour but a great sense of achievement to finish.
We had an incredible experience on the 4-day Inca Trail with TreXperience! From start to finish, everything was amazing. Our guides, Yovan and Rene, were fantastic. We had torrential rain on day 2, but both guides were positive, patient and encouraging, keeping everyone’s spirits up despite the challenging conditions. The porters were absolutely incredible, especially considering the crazy weather conditions. Their hard work and dedication were amazing to witness, and they deserve so much recognition for everything they did throughout the trek. Our group was a great size, and the mix of nationalities made for such a fun dynamic throughout the trek. And, of course, arriving at Machu Picchu made it all worthwhile. The views were absolutely surreal and something we’ll never forget.
Inca Trail is truly worth all the effort. Beautiful and enchanting. Even it was raining almost all the 4 days we were on the Trail, I was totally in awe with all on offer: the mountains, rivers, ambiance, archeological sites along the trail. The kitchen crew and porters supporting and helping us. They were so sweet and hardworking. Our second guide Lourdes was sweet and attentive. Quiet but with a big heart. The history and info provided by the first guide could be improved.
Amadeo and The Matador were the highlights of the trip! Wouldn’t have been half as great without those two tour guides.
10/10 I enthusiastically recommend the 4d/3n Inca Trail Trek with Pepe, René, and TreXperience! We were two friends in a group of 12 tourists with two guides, two chefs, and an amazing team of porters in October 2026. From the frequent up-front communication months before the trip, all the way through sharing pictures on WhatsApp days after, everything about this trek was well-organized, safe, and joyful. Communication ahead of booking was clear, consistent, and mostly transparent, as I sent dozens of questions before even booking, in search of an ethical tour operator. All of the customer service reps were thorough & patient in their answers and very helpful when we booked (early May for an Oct trek). The briefing the night before covered everything we could want to know and gave us the opportunity for last minute adjustments like reserving trekking poles. The trek itself was well-paced and accommodating to everyone in the group; Pepe and René worked well together to ensure the whole group felt cared for but not smothered. We were encouraged to hike at our own pace but there were frequent stops for catching up, learning, and asking questions. Pepe was very attentive to the group's needs and constantly checking in to ensure we were all feeling well and had what we needed. Big shoutout to Pepe (we were his 327th trek, I think?), he had so much great information, was happy to chat and answer questions, and also happy to let the group hike on in silence when that fit the mood. His top priority was ensuring we had the experience we wanted and he kept the vibes up even when altitude effects and sleepy early mornings wanted to bring us down. It must be such a hard job to accommodate so many different personalities but he did it with a smile for four days straight. Chef Alejandro gets a shoutout as well, the food was better than I make for myself with all my normal amenities and he did it three times a day, for twelve of us, in the middle of nowhere with only what he carried through the mountains. I'm still telling everyone at home about the cake (a freaking cake!!) he made for our last night. :) And my last shoutout is for the porter crew -- what a difficult job those guys do and they were so kind and high-spirits the entire time. This trek is not naturally a 5 star experience -- I mean, you're hiking for days through the Andes, sleeping on the ground with barely-there amenities and highly variable weather -- but the TreXperience team on our trip sure did their best to make it feel like one.
I had an amazing experience doing the 4 day incatrail. The guides Yovan and Rene were amazing. Also the food was delicious!
An amazing trip and Trexperience were fantastic. Their guides (Marco and Lordes) were so knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The company's strategy of longer days on day 1 and 2 and then a shorter day 3 was really clever so that we had a really interesting visit to the ruins near the final campsite and plenty time to do ot. The porters were incredible and seemingly genuinely well taken care of which can't be said for other companies we saw on the Inca trail (green llamas as a clue...) Food was so good and they even made me a delicious birthday cake on day 2! Couldn't recommend Trexperience highly enough for anyone wanting to do the Inca Trail.
Amadeo is fantastic and highly knowledgeable on the trail and its history. Having an actual archeologist as a guide adds another level of depth and breadth to the experience that is not replicated easily. Him and his team went above and beyond to make sure everyone made it through the trail together safely. Danillo is an excellent assistant guide with a great attitude. Julius Caesar made sure we were fed with high quality meals all the way through. This is not a hike for beginners and the weather can change quickly and drastically so please make sure you are prepared for this journey. The Peruvian Government strictly limits how many people can be on the trail at a time so you will get lots of space to yourself seeing minimal hikers outside of your group until Machu Picchu. The trail is well maintained and clean.
Amazing four days hiking the Inca trail! The set up was so slick and the entire team make the experience the best it can possibly be. Massive shoutout to the chefs who consistently prepared great food at 3000m and more including pizza and even a cake on the final night! Special mention to our guide Yovan, who knew everything there was to know about the route and made the whole group feel at home. Make sure to ask Yovan about his cave raves, the absolute highlight of the trip!
Everything was perfect, the porters the chefs and the guides Yovan and Rene
An incredible 4-day adventure hiking the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with TreXperience. The entire team was extremely helpful and professional, taking care of every detail and making sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after throughout the journey. A special thanks to our guide Roger, head-chef Celso, and head-porter Rubén. Everything was exceptionally well organized, from the quality of the tents and campsite facilities to the delicious meals, freshly prepared every day despite the challenging conditions of a camp. A truly unforgettable experience, highly recommend TreXperience to anyone looking to discover Machu Picchu through the iconic Inca Trail.
We had great four day on the Inca Trail with our little group and the Trexperience team. From the start the organization of the whole tour was perfect. Our guide Roger managed the group very well and made sure that it was at all times a group experience despite the different levels/speed of hiking. His knowledge about the different Inca sites along the way and especially Machu Picchu is outstanding and you can feel how passionate he is about the Inca culture. The food on all four days was very delicious and it is incredible to see how Celso and his team prepared meals in a tiny kitchen which can keep up with food you are served in a restaurant or a hotel. Last but not least, I also want to mention the work of all the porters who accompanied us on the trip and made it all possible by caring all stuff from one place to another. Overall, I can 100% recommend Trexperience as the company of choice if you plan to do the Inca Trail.
I went with this trekking company because a friend recommended it to me. The whole experience was great. I found that everything was clearly communicated and it was easy to figure out what the expectations were for the trek. The guides for my group were Alex and Lourdes, and they were fantastic - very knowledgeable, engaging, and organized. They went out of their way to make the trip safe, fun, and to bring the group together. The cooks and the porter team were also amazing. They got all our gear exactly where it was supposed to be, exactly when it was supposed to be there. The food was really good - everything was fresh and hot, and we were never hungry on this trip! Overall, a great experience. Great for solo travelers, too.
What an amazing experience - Tony, our guide, was knowledgeable and supportive. The food was spectacular (who bakes a cake on a hike???) and the porters and the chef team were so supportive! One of the best trips I have ever taken! Definitely recommend!
Had an amazing experience doing the Inca trail with trexperience. Pepe and Rene were fantastic guides who knew a ton about the history of the Incas. I also can’t speak more highly of the chefs from trexperience. They cooked us feasts for breakfast lunch and dinner, and it was great to eat traditional peruvian food while hiking the trail. They also managed hotel pickup and drop off which was amazing for me and my partner, as we stayed in Cusco before the trek and had a hotel booked in Urubamba after. They held our larger luggage and ensured it was there when we got off the train in olantaytambo, which made it possible for us to not have to return to Cusco for just one extra night. Lastly the porters make this whole trek possible, they carry extra weight for you, set up and break down your tent everyday, and even applaud you on your arrival to camp everyday, which is ironic since they are doing the same trek with 4x the weight on their back and in half the time. They were all so nice and loved to laugh and joke around at camp which made the trip more enjoyable. Overall I can’t recommend trexperience and our guides Pepe and Rene more if you’re interested in doing the Inca trail.
I 100% recommend Trexperience to take you on the Inca Trail. We were well looked after, well fed, and the whole experience was worth the effort. Thank you Filio, our excellent guide, and Daniel his fabulous partner.
Filio and Fernando were amazing guides! They were helpful, encouraging, and fun to be around. The trip was sell organized and the food was amazing.
Beautiful scenery and a unique experience that I will certainly never forget! A huge thank you to Filio and Fernando for being such amazing tour guides!
We did the 4 day hike to Machu Picchu. Our guide, Tony, and the rest of the team were incredible and made this experience amazing.
My son and I took the four day, three night Inca trail trip in Oct 2026 with TreXperience. Our experience from pick up to drop off was a 10/10. Abelardo and Raul were the guides and they were extremely knowledgeable about the trail and the history of Peru. They were supportive and attentive to each member of our group. Especially with myself being oldest and the slowest member of the group, they encouraged me and helped me emotionally and physically get through the trip. The food was outstanding our chef! Zenobia, cooked a variety of great food for the different diets are group members had. We would highly recommend this trip with TreXperience.
Alex, Lourdes, and Chef Beltran were all amazing!! Our guides, Alex and Lourdes, were super knowledgeable about all things Inca, Inca trail, Peruvian food/culture, and hiking/camping. They certainly made this into a once in a lifetime trip. We were able to see some amazing views, Incan Historical sites, and learned so much about Incan and pre-Incan societies. Chef Beltran cooked up some amazing Peruvian dishes, at times one forgets that you’re in the middle of the Andes with the quality and presentation of food. Highly recommend!! I’m from San Diego CA with some/limited camping experience and the whole TreXperience team made this feel seamless.
An unforgettable Inca Trail experience! I recently completed the 4-day Classic Inca Trail with TreXperience, and it was an experience I’ll never forget! A special thank you to our guides, Alex and Lourdes. Both played a huge role in helping me complete the trek. Their patience, encouragement, and genuine care meant a lot to me, especially during the more challenging moments. A big shoutout to our main chef, Beltran, for the amazing meals! Having such great food after a long day of hiking was always something to look forward to. Reaching Machu Picchu was incredible, but the people who helped me get there made it even more special. Thank you to the entire TreXperience team!
I can't recommend TreXperience enough. The 4-day Inca Trail was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the team made it even better. Our guide, Anthony Zambrano (Tony), was extremely personable, knowledgeable and brought the trail and its history to life. The team of chefs (Leandro) and porters were incredible, and we really enjoyed meeting them and learning about their backgrounds. The food they cooked and carried up the mountain was amazing, and better than what I could make at home. Communication before and during the trip was clear, and I always knew what to expect. It was also obvious the team was well prepared for emergencies, which gave me real peace of mind. The whole process was stress free, so we could enjoy every moment of the trip. If you're considering this trek, book it. You won’t regret it. Thank you to the team at TreXperience for an unforgettable trip!
Filio was a great guide on our tour. Spend at least 3 days in Cusco prior to departing on the Inca Trail to adjust to elevation change.
Fillio was our guide and he made it a life changing experience! That’s no exaggeration
Great experience, loved the trail. It was harder than I expected but well worth an effort. Weather was dry and sunny. Rained once during the night. Food was great, even table presentation was impressive. All staff was courteous. Our guides, Fellio and Danny, were caring and compassionate. I especially liked historical recourses. It was clear how much they cared about local culture. They loved sharing it. The 3rd day was an easy hike and there was a sufficient time to spend on mini Maccu Picchu. I highly appreciated it. Alex
Fantastic ❤️ The carrier! Heroes! Guide José and assistant guide Danilo! Fabolous! The story telling! The cook! The nature! The views!
An unforgettable experience with Peppe and Rene! Walking the Inca Trail with TreXperience was an incredible adventure, made even more special by our amazing guides, Peppe and Rene. Peppe, a former park ranger, seems to know absolutely everything about the history, nature, culture, and hidden secrets of the Inca Trail. His knowledge and passion brought the entire journey to life. And then there was Rene, our motivator! Always encouraging us to take that next step, especially when our legs were telling us otherwise. His positive energy, enthusiasm, and support made all the difference. But above all, this was about something much bigger than completing the Inca Trail. It was about sharing an extraordinary adventure as father and daughter, overcoming challenges together, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. One of the most beautiful experiences a father and daughter can share. Thank you, Peppe, Rene, and TreXperience, for making this journey so unforgettable! John & Joëlle — The Netherlands
Wow! The 4d day 3 night Inca trail was one of the hardest things I’ve done but I wouldn’t trade it for anything❤️ my group consisted of 8 total (including my guide) Everyday I just felt so blessed to be able to even be at a place where there’s so much history, and beauty and mystery. I get why it’s called one of the 7th wanders of the world. The whole trail was probably my favorite part. A BIG shout out to the all the porters. They are the real hero’s and without them the trip would be impossible. I’m so grateful for them. The porters, the chef (Alandro) and my guide (Yovanni) were some of the hardest working men I’ve ever met. I feel very blessed to have been a part of their group. Everyone was amazing and I admire their hard work and dedication to making this experience unforgettable. The admission fee was priced very reasonable considered everything that was included (meals, tents, sleeping bags, portable toilet, snacks, etc)
Awesome doesn’t even describe it. Modern life has made so many of us engrossed and trapped in a very sedentary lifestyle and detached from nature. This tour offers a great opportunity to reconnect with nature and be amazed and humbled. Our guides Abelardo and Raúl, chef Zenobia as well as the rest of the staff at TreXperience took very care of us. They certainly are a special part of the trek.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing experience with TreXperience! Everything was fantastic from start to finish! A huge shoutout to our guide Abelardo and assistant guide Raúl, who were absolutely amazing, helpful, funny, and made the whole trip unforgettable. Massive praise to our chef Zenobio as well – the food was insanely good and exceeded all our expectations! The whole team was incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend TreXperience!
Most amazing trip I’ve even been apart of! The experience and knowledge of the guides Abelardo & Balbino! Amazing food by chef Alejandro! Couldn’t recommend more!
The Inca trail 4 day hike was an unbelievable experience it was my first ever hike/expedition and I couldn’t have picked a better one my guides Abelrado and balbino were very knowledgeable about the history of the Incas and how this amazing trail was built truly incredible they made the trip that much better and also the chef Alejandro cooking some of the best foods I have tasted including traditional Peruvian dishes 10/10 would recommended
Great experience with great guides! Abelardo and balbins !! Very respectful and informative highly recommend them and their team ! Alejandro the chef was an amazing chef and gave us his best and looked after us really well great food and great service ! Highly recommend this group if you go !
Amazing experience with team treXperience! Our Guide Albereto made the trip 1000x better with his knowledge and experience of the track. 4 days of hiking with a great group of people. Alejandro the chef was amazing and food every day was 5 stars. Worth booking with this group !
The 4-day hike was an epic journey requiring perseverance, but we were rewarded with great views, food, experiences, culture, and group leaders. TreXperience made sure all our transportation and ticket entries were seamless, communicating with us via WhatsApp through our whole trip (we had a 7-day package that included a Cusco and a Sacred Valley Tour prior to hiking). We were nicely spaced among other groups on the trail so it never felt crowded until we actually arrived at Machu Picchu (and crowds there are unavoidable). Our guide Abelardo was an excellent communicator—whether safety, culture, or process. Balbino, assistant guide, helped us along every step with a smile. And the food was beyond all expectations with several dishes for lunch and dinner, plus desserts. We had a group size of 14 which at first seemed large but once we got started it was super reasonable and never felt like too much. I would highly recommend TreXperience for the Inca Trail!
While the hike itself was challenging, the views were amazing. The guides were exceptional and overall had a really good time.
This was the most physical hike I have ever done but the crew cheered us on and never let us give up! They were organized and like clock work to everything smooth! Definitely the way to check this off your bucket list! Guides: Abelardo and Balbino were the best! Chef : Alejandro made sure we were always fed and the food was delicious!
We took part in this Inca trail trek and cannot recommend it highly enough. Abelardo was the perfect guide, warm, knowledgeable and reassuring. And Alejandro and his team did wonders to produce delicious, varied and healthy meals along the way. It goes without saying that the Inca trail itself is a unique and indescribable experience. We also took part in a TreXperience trip to Rainbow Mountain with Jacob as a guide. He was also excellent. Thanks to the whole team!
We hiked as a group of 7 (ranging from ages 17 to 59 years of age and varying degrees of experience, high altitude reactions and pace) the 4 night/ 5 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu and rail experience. We had hotel transfers, briefing the night before, meals, snacks and water supplied and we reserved seats for our rail experience to Ollyantaytambo (recommended reserving seats). We had an amazing crew of 14 porters, a chef and a guide (who spoke English). Esteban and Alfredo prepared amazing 3 course meals, the porters carried 7kilos of our bedding/clothing/gear and Julio Conde could not be faulted. Julio was amazing, patient, informative, passionate, compassionate and never leaving anyone behind (we saw this happen to hikers from another group/tour agency). Julio made sure he catered to all our needs and ensured we reached our Machu Picchu destination. Even after we bid farewell, when Julio became aware of a public protest on the railway line causing massive train delays, he called and guided us through it. We will be forever grateful. The only negative experiences we felt on this hike, was not from the crew that supported us on this journey, but rather the miscommunications before our journey and on day 4, where our guide and ourselves found ourselves at our lunch destination without the chef, food or water (as planned) as the porters had left the park due to needing to rush to their provinces for compulsory election voting. With the help of Julio and agency management, we were granted a restaurant meal in town, however due to ticket restrictions for the Machu Picchu itself and a hot day, we had run out of water, snacks and the will to carry on by time we reached lunch destination at 2pm. 2pm is normally not so bad, however we had eaten a light breakfast at 5.30am (so that Porters could pack and run, and light so not to be sick on a gruelling up hill climb). My other advice to the agency is to either include tips in their overall tour cost (for porters, chef, guide) or give plenty of warning of the amount of staff and the set tip amount for each. Our crew didn’t learn of these numbers until the night before, and given we had a family of 4 in our group and one ATM card and most ATMs allowing a max transaction of $400 sole per day, it made it very difficult to compile our tip money for our 14 porters, 1 chef and guide. Whilst I realise it is not compulsory to tip, coming from a country (Australia) that doesn’t tip, it was very evident that the staff rely on our tips and our group felt embarrassed and frustrated that we couldn’t give the amount we could see they expected (even though we managed to scratch the amount the agency guide email recommended). Overall, it’s not the first time we have had best planned holidays interrupted by elections or protests and it was not the agency’s fault. We still had an awesome time and I still recommend TreExperience, our guide Julio Conde and Chef Esteban and sous chef Alfredo.
The two day Inca Trail tour was a once in a lifetime trip. TreXperience was a great tour company to go with. They was very organized and took care of all the details. Alex and Ade were fantastic guides. Alex was extremely knowledgeable about Machu Picchu and the Inca culture, and Ade was very positive and encouraging on the hike. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this to anyone wanting this two day Inca Trail tour with TreXperience to anyone wanting to visit Machu Picchu!
It was excellent! Alex - the guide, the best! Chef Ramon - amazing! Even though the trek is tough I'd do that again. Highly recommended. Haku!
The guides Nil and Louis were exceptional. Ensured our safety at all times. Made sure we had the best views and experience throughout the trek. The food cooked by the chefs was also very good. I highly recommend booking directly with trexperience as I was not pleased with the contact/support from adventure people before I departed. Once I arrived trexperience took over and were amazing.
