Our Guide, Celio, was absolutely wonderful, his vast and personal knowledge of the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and home city Cusco were exceptional and we learned so much from him. He was a joy to be with, making our trip so enjoyable. The absolute best!

The success of a tour is not only what you see, but who you see it with, and of course your guide. Cel from Valencia Travel was the ultimate professional guide. We can’t rate him highly enough. His local knowledge and experience, and his willingness to cater to all our needs and requests were above and beyond. He made our trip unforgettable and full of precious memories.
We recently did an in-depth trip through Peru with Valencia Travel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. A huge part of what made the trip so special was our tour director, Eduardo. Eduardo was simply the best. He was extremely knowledgeable about Peru, but what stood out just as much was how caring, thoughtful, and attentive he was throughout the entire journey. He managed everything exceptionally well — timing, tickets, transportation, organisation, and all the little details that can make such a difference on a busy itinerary. He was also incredibly flexible and always willing to accommodate when plans needed to change. We always felt that we were in very capable hands, and Eduardo made the whole trip feel seamless and stress-free. His knowledge and enthusiasm also added so much to our understanding and appreciation of Peru. Eduardo had a fantastic team around him as well. A special shoutout to Jose Luis (Chikiling), Yuri in the Amazon, and Angel at Lake Titicaca. Each of them was wonderful in their own way and contributed to making the trip such a memorable experience. Overall, we had an amazing time exploring Peru with Valencia Travel. We would highly recommend the company, and especially Eduardo, to anyone looking to experience Peru in depth. Thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable journey! 🇵🇪
Valencia Travel Cusco were amazing and offered excellent service. Always punctual and very knowable. We enjoyed our tour through Cusco, Sacred Valley Ollantaytambo and Machu Picchu was the highlight. Our guide Carlos ensured we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend Valencia Travel.
We spent a fabulous 4 days with our wonderful guide, Mariela Pumachapi, who excelled in being both incredibly professional but warm and friendly as well. Mariela took care of every fine detail for us, which helped enormously with the language barrier, and ensured a hassle free and most enjoyable experience in each location. Nothing was too much effort, even assisting us with a better room at our hotel after being allocated a room in a very noisy location for the first three nights. Her knowledge and passion for her home country was infectious and we learnt so much about Peru, a country we certainly didnt learn about at school! Mariela is a credit to her profession and we thank her enormously for patiently addressing our many, many questions along the way 😜 😁 Valencia Travel is fortunate to have such a dedicated, caring guide in their service. Thanks again Mariela 🙏 Sue and Guy, Coffs Harbour Australia
Booked with Trip a Deal Our guide Willington was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend Willington.
We met Willington who took us on the adventure of a life time. He is a very good tour guide who knew his home very well. If he didn’t know something he found it out. He is a caring man and I cannot speak highly enough of his service to us all
Our family had an amazing experience during our tour of Cusco, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley. Everything was well organised, and the sites were absolutely breathtaking. A special mention goes to our guide, Juan, who made the trip unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and always ready to help. His passion for the history and culture of the region brought each place to life, making the journey both educational and enjoyable for the whole family. We highly recommend this tour and Juan!
As a 74 year old I was a bit apprehensive about going to Cusco and Machu Picchu on my own but I didn’t need worry. I booked through Viator and the company on the ground were Valencia travel. They were both excellent, brilliant service. I was collected and left back from airport, hotel, train etc on time by very nice representatives and guides. I have to mention Miguel, Roland and Elizabeth my guide on Machu Picchu. They were so knowledgeable and made the trip quite a very memorable experience. Also Ricardo the driver who was always on time. I would not hesitate to book with them again.
Carlos was a great guide around Cusco and Miguel was great for the ride to Ollantaytambo and even added some extra stops! Elizabeth at Machu Picchu was also fantastic, and we were lucky to have great weather (even in the rainy season). The hotels were fine, although Aguas Calientes was quite loud! We were unfortunately left at the train station for most of the day due to the recent crash, some communication from Valencia/the rail operator would have helped us but it was obviously an extreme circumstance. We had a great trip, would recommend Valencia travel to anyone!
Our guide Claudio was very knowledgeable and great passion for Peru history in particular the Inka history. He organised everything very efficiently with lots of details each day on schedule.
Our tour with in Peru with guide Claudio was amazing and he went above and beyond with support and knowledge. His knowledge of the Inka history was great and gave a great insight. He was every helpful with any daily needs for group including assistant in getting lost baggage from airport. I have elderly mother and help guide her though all the walks and trails so she was safe and able to enjoy the experience.
I cannot rate our tour guide Guillermo highly enough, he was brilliant. We saw everything possible in the 4 days and did it in an organised, timely and extremely friendly way. Everything we did was organised and nothing was a bother to him. He made the trip so enjoyable he was like a friend at the end. I would recommend any tour organised by Valencia Travel as they were very helpful as well, but if you get Guillermo you have won the Lottery. He had so much pride in showing off his home town Cusco and his knowledge of Machu Picchu is incredible. If you are looking to do something for the best 4 days of your life I recommend this tour highly
This experience has been one of the best of my life. Not only because of the Peruvian culture, spectacular scenery etc but because of the organisational ability and care shown by our tour guides from Valencia Travel. Juan 1 and Juan 2 have simply been amazing. There care, attention to detail and love for their culture and people is inspirational. I have travelled to a lot of places in the world with my wife Leanne and friends (Andrea & Wayne) and I will be forever grateful to them for this time spent together. Friends for life! Geoff Brethouwer
Carlos was our tour guide for the Peru section of Trip a Deal 'Glaciers of Patagonia" trip with Machu Picchu extension. Carlos was a wealth of knowledge, friendly and very helpful guide. He worked with our group to see the things we wanted and assisted with all sorts of extras like a trip to Rainbow Mountain, soccer match and restaurants. All our drivers were professional and buses clean.
Firstly we travelled with a good bunch of people. Most importantly our guide Ronaldo was fantastic! Knowledgeable caring attentive informative helpful - you name it!! Thank you Ronaldo - you are one of the best guides we have had on all our travels!
From start to finish this was an incredible experience, our tour guide Willington is a wealth of knowledge, very professional, reliable and humerus, he couldn’t do enough for us. If your lucky enough to get him you will have the best experience We were met at Lima airport by Willington and guided us through Cusco, Urabamba, sacred valley, Machu Picchu back to Cusco. Thank you for a fantastic holiday. We are off to Galápagos Islands now to continue our journey Thanks Gary & Jo
The best part of the trip was that our tour guide Oscar Palamino is not only an excellent tour guide but extremely helpful. He made me feel st home with his easy manner and good nature. He could be approached round the click if we jad any issues. I wish Oscar the very best in life
We love Valencia travel. We chose this company because it’s local. The experience was flawless. Valencia travel are organized they made our trip flawless. From the time we landed, to hotel transfers etc. Diego and Miguel our contact people were responsive and readily available. Our experience with Valencia was fantastic. From our poters, to the cook Gregorio who cooked nutritious, delicious meals for us and Juano who served us meals with big smile and a dance. He always managed to make us laugh. Not to mention Genrri our guide was kind, patient and helpful. He was knowledgeable, inspiring. He was attentive to our needs at all times. I also, used Valencia for rainbow mountain. Wellington my guide, Oscar the driver were great. Can’t thank Valencia travels enough and their staff for our Inca trail experience. We plan to return to Peru and will definitely use Valencia. Highly recommend Valencia for you Peru travel needs.
I had the most amazing time. Our tour guide Claudio made everything seamless!! We saw the most breathtaking of scenery and in depth authentic cultural experiences. I can’t recommend enough!!!
Eduardo was a great guide (through Tripadeal). We had wonderfull time in Cusco & the Sacred Valley and did a number of sensational bucket list walks.
Well organised itinerary, our guide Eduardo was very professional, and helpful. Everything went smoothly. Will recommend to others.
I have just returned from an excellent tour of Peru - Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, "Condor Canyon", Arequipa and all places in between. There was so much to see, hear and taste it is still sinking in, and we were led by the excellent Willington Calderón from Valencia Travel who not only managed all the logistics of such a tour (in itself no mean feat), but also provided us with expert knowledge of Peru and the places we passed through. At major sites such as Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca etc, he was aided by local guides Franzs, Oscar, Eliseo and Maya who all added extra expert depth to our travelling experience. A wonderful holiday vastly enhanced by the guides from Valencia. Thank you
The porters and guide were incredible!! They took great care of me and my two friends! They are very knowledgeable of the hike and will go above and beyond for their tour participants! Can’t recommend enough!!
Absolutely fabulous tour. Eduardo is a superb guide, his knowledge is exceptional. Machu pichu was amazing, we were very fortunate with the weather.
Eduardo was great. Very knowledgeable on all of the trips in particular machu picchu. He was helpful, thoughtful and very hard working. He recommended great restaurants, his organisation kills were good and he anticipated situations and was prepared. Great fun. Eduardo had a good sense of humour and his English was excellent. Kind and considerate.
Edward and Luis did an amazing job showing us the Golden Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco. His English is excellent and he has the patience of a saint! He was absolutely flexible responding to our requests for modifications to the schedule. And he showed us fascinating aspects of Peru we didn’t expect to see. I would book with him again!
Review for Mariela, Private Tour Guide in Peru When you book a private guide, you never really know what to expect — with Mariela, and the rest of the tour guides we were absolutely blown away. Having had the chance to show friends and family around Boston and my college — places that are near and dear to my heart — I’ve learned that the best experiences come when passion for the subject matter is genuine and the “job” is secondary. That’s exactly what we found with Mariela. She didn’t just recite facts you could find online or in a history book. She made the sites and stories come alive with deep, personal touches and a true love for her culture, heritage, and homeland. Her emotional connection to the places she shared with us was palpable — something no Google search or AI tool could ever replicate. Mariela’s English was excellent, and it was incredibly rewarding to watch her continue to hone her language skills with us. Throughout the trip, we introduced her to phrases like “the perfect storm,” and she eagerly committed new expressions and connotations to memory, showing the same drive for learning that she poured into her storytelling. She even shared some of her favorite authors and books on Peruvian history and culture, giving us even more ways to connect with her world. Beyond history, she helped us navigate the subtle things that only a local would know — like when it’s appropriate to barter at markets and when it would be considered disrespectful — the kind of institutional knowledge that often leaves outsiders feeling like a fish out of water without someone to guide them. Over four unforgettable days across Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu, Mariela became more than a guide — she became a part of our family. She was hardworking, communicative, punctual, and deeply compassionate. She never rushed us through a site, unlike many other guides we observed. She moved at our pace, encouraging us to linger when something caught our interest and making adjustments seamlessly when needed. When one member of our group suffered from altitude sickness, Mariela and our driver immediately stepped into caregiver mode, providing oxygen, local remedies, and comfort with remarkable calm and kindness. She checked in with us later that evening and again the next day, well beyond any professional obligation. Mariela is a rare find — someone who shares not just her country’s history, but her heart. We cannot recommend her highly enough, and we will forever be grateful that she was part of our journey through Peru.
I did a tour of Cusco, Machu Picchu with Trip a Deal who engaged Valencia Travel and cannot speak more highly of Valencia Travel and tour guides Aldo & Renee. Unfortunately my wife suffered altitudes sickness and had to go into Hospital in Cusco. Their concern and care for my wife was over my expectations. The tour it self was fantastic both Aldo and Renee are passionate about their Inca heritage and were knowledgeable of the area and gave us all a fantastic tour of the places we visited. I extend my Gratitude to Aldo for having one of his Valencia Travel representatives visit my wife in hospital whilst I Travelled to Machu Picchu. This company treats its tour members as family!!
We were part of a group from Australia. Claudio the tour leader was amazing. He was assisted by Wellington and both these gentleman had huge knowledge of the Inca story as they took us through Sacred Valley and ultimately to Machu Picchu. Claudio had fantastic leadership qualities and very clear communication. He always let us know what was happening next and at what time and he was always available for questions or helping out as required. He bought a group of people who were unknown to each other at the beginning of the tour to a very tight group by the end. Thankyou Claudio.
Our trip to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was an unbelievable experienced made better by our guide Jose and driver Richard. Jose's passion and knowledge about his country was so infectious. He also has a really good sense of humour and his perception of his group of travellers thus ensuring that we had the best experience possible. Of all the guides we have had around the world Jose.was by far the best we have ever had and is a credit to the Company he represents. The trip itself was absolutely outstanding and would recommend it to everyone to try.
The experience that we had was absolute amazing, the feel the are and the guide was exceptional. Claudio our guide for Peru went above and beyond, he made our tour the best experience you could have
Our guides ALDO and RENE were fabulous and very knowledgeable So accommodating and so much fun. Highly recommend them and the trip.Thank you.
We were very impressed with our tour guider Mr Jose, for he is a very professional, skilful in tourism field. He was also very nice to and take care to us.
Jose is tour leader of the South America trip in Cusco and Machupicchu, he is excellent, reliable, responsible person.
We spent 4 days on our 14 person group tour with our guide Ruben and our driver Roland. A fantastic experience and Ruben proved to be a very attentive, knowledgeable and caring guide. He guided us through some wonderful areas and we covered quite a lot of territory. It was wonderful to have his experience, knowledge and guidance throughout our journey especially while visiting Machu Picchu and surrounds. Our last night was quite a treat with a delicious gastronomic feast which proved a memorable conclusion to our short but wonderful adventure. Thank you Ruben for sharing your wonderful country with us and for your knowledge and sense of humour. High recommend Valencia tours and Trip a Deal.
From airport pick up to drop off we had the most wonderful service which really enhanced our incredible holiday. All the guides we encountered were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful - Miguel, Nico and Renne. Attention to detail was second to none and consideration was given to everyone in the groups abilities and needs. Nico's and Renee's care and enthusiasm really made this trip special. Would highly recommend.
Aldo our guide was spectacular - he and the porters and cooks were outstanding in taking super good care of us. We were a group of 7 and it all exceeded our expectations - from meeting us in the airport in Cusco to taking us on a day tour in sacred valley before the trek to guiding us for 4 days and finally a great city tour of Cusco. What a week it’s been.
This was a wonderful experience with very knowledgeable and friendly tour guides Andres and mariell. Seen so many beautiful places and learnt alot about the culture. Thank you for the great experience
Our guide Henry picked us up from the airport and we travelled directly to the Sacred Valley. The next day we saw two archeological sites of the Inca’s, one at Pisac and the other at Ollantaytambo. Both sites were different in their own right however the farming terraces were a connecting factor. Amazing to see how much work went into building these. We also had lunch at a local restaurant in Urubamba. The next day was our trip to Machu Picchu it was spectacular and breathtaking. Just being there and seeing this amazing place built so high up a mountain was mind blowing. We caught the train up and got to see sites on the way, then in the afternoon we caught the train back to Cusco. Today was our city tour. We saw two more sites from the Inca era - one a temple and one a place of offering. We then went and fed some llamas, Ollama Karao and some Alpaca Zuri. That was a lot of fun. Our guide Henry was a local and was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited, very personable and had a great laugh and good sense of humour. It was our first time in Peru and we loved it. We will be returning. Thanks Valencia Travel for a wonderful insight into Peru.
Excellent care taken of us especially with unexpected illness, Willington Calderon took great care of us. He was very knowlegeable and made the trip a great experience.
Our guide Nico from Valencia Travel met 23 Australians in Lima and guided us for the next 4 days to Cusco Sacred Valley ,Ollyantambo and Macchupichu . Nico gave us the most incredible experiences in each of the amazing places we visited. From each of our drivers to our external guides including Renee we were shown the best of places . We truly felt like one big family . Nico organised everything to the last detail which included boarding passes and entries for all activities. Pre check ins in each destination relocating our luggage to each destination. All done without a hitch. Nico and Renee shared their extensive knowledge with us throughout with enthusiasm and interest. Nothing was too much trouble or effort for each and everyone our group.
Valencia travel looked after us super well! Made sure we always had everything we needed and catered to everyone. We’re friendly, accommodating and always willing to help out wherever. Rueben and his assistant guide especially were great for our group, they both made sure that this would be a holiday we would never forget!
Valentia Tours organised the trip with good combination of activities and free time. Claudio Andia was a fantastic tour guide. Took care of us very well. He was super organised and explained everything well in advance. He is very passionate about Peru, Machu Picchu and local culture.
We had a great experience. Our Tour Guide (Ruben) was very knowledgeable, experienced and catered for the variety of fitness levels in our group. Ruben had a very pleasant way of delivering the information in an easy digestible manner - he had a very good sense of humour. I would highly recommend this tour and particularly Ruben.
Ruben was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable, organised and efficient. Ruben really made our visit to Peru memorable and I’m sure it wouldn’t have been the same without him. Highly recommended! Thank you.
We had the best time in Cusco and surrounds. Frank our tour leader was always organised, knowledgable, a good communicator and supportive and helpful when his help was needed. The Andes, Sacred Valley and the history of this area was astounding. So glad we chose Peru as a destination.
The trek was hard but views were stunning. We were thoroughly spoilt by our guide, Victor who provided amazing knowledge snd service. He was patient, helpful and really very informative. He team of porters worked relentlessly hard to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The chef was amazing ! So much so I was not expecting to gain weight having done the treks, but I did. Breakfast freshly prepared, 2 course lunch and 3 course dinner. He even baked (on the stove) us a cake. Valencia travel looked after us throughout our trip even when an internal flight was cancelled they were on hand to help us. Highly recommend using them for Peru.
This region of Peru is so full of fascinating history and beautiful landscapes. The highlights were Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. Our guide Edwardo was awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable and also very caring to our needs, especially toilet breaks and helping us acclimatise. I felt very safe with Richard our driver. Edwardo and Richard really made this dream holiday even more special and memorable.
Every single aspect was above and beyond our expectations! Firstly, the price was worth it. Our hotels were included and everywhere we stayed was clean and high quality. The staff at all the hotels were very helpful. We stayed at Casa Andina in Cusco and in Aguas Calientes and both were excellent. A similar feel to us as a Holiday Inn or Hilton Garden Inn in the US: clean, standardized, and all well located. All of our drivers were also very safe and careful drivers and the vehicles were all clean and comfortable. All the cars we were in with Valencia Tours also had water and hand sanitizer which was nice as well. On Day 1, Rene met us at our hotel for a tour of all the historic Inca sites in and around Cusco. He was incredibly knowledgeable and artfully wove the stories of the Incas and the Spanish with the present day goings on here in Peru. There was no question that was too difficult for him; he had an answer for everything! Everything was prompt and well timed. He referenced different books he carried with him to flesh out more details. At the end of Day 1, Rene gave us his WhatsApp and walked us through the rest of our itinerary, promising us that if we needed anything, he would be just a quick text away. Rene has been a guide for many years and it shows in his professionalism. He speaks English very fluently and very well, and he is familiar with many aspects of the tourism industry here in Peru, which made him an essential resource to us for everything from restaurant recommendations to remedies for altitude sickness. On Day 2, Miguel met us at the hotel as planned. Miguel was prompt and helpful with our bags. He was in the car with us as we were driven to a train station in Ollantaytambo to catch the train to Aguas Calientes. Miguel was extremely kind and generous with his time. He ensured at every transition point that we had the correct documents and understood the itinerary. He was familiar with our other guides, Rene and Elizabeth, which made us feel immediately at ease. Rene also knew Miguel and Elizabeth; we felt like it was so positive and reassuring that all of our guides knew each other and had amazing things to say about each other. That is so uncommon in many workplaces among coworkers but was so common among Valencia! That was really special. Miguel kept us entertained the whole car ride with stories about his childhood and learning other languages. His English was amazing and he kept up a vibrant conversation for two hours! He also had wonderful suggestions for what to do once we got to Aguas Calientes and for our return to Cusco. The train ride on Day 2 was seamless thanks to Miguel, who ensured we got on the right train and knew where our train car and seats were. *Driving to the train station in Ollantaytambo was SO HELPFUL* because the train ride on the way back straight from Aguas Calientes to Cusco was very very very slow. The train can only go less than 40 km, which wasn’t so noticeable when we were headed into Aguas Calientes from Ollantaytambo but was veryyyy noticeable on the way back. There were people to take us to our hotel once we arrived in Aguas Calientes; they kindly carried our bags. Our hotel was steps from the train station which was nice. We didn’t hear a ton of noise from the train at our hotel. Once we got to Aguas Calientes, we checked in and had a little lunch, walked around, and relaxed. At 7:00 pm, our guide Elizabeth met us at the hotel and looked over our documents to ensure again that we had the right bus tickets and entrance tickets for the Machu Picchu tour on Day 3. Rene also texted us prior and ensured we arrived safely, which was so kind and thoughtful! Elizabeth was very prompt and timely. The next day, she met us at 6:00 am on the dot and got us onto the bus. She was also extremely knowledgeable and carried a couple of books to further illustrate finer points about the site. She knew so much about the site itself and you could feel her own personal reverence for the ancient place. Elizabeth also knew where to stop to take lots of great pictures and all the rules about photography at the site. She even came up with different poses and knew different ways to use our iPhones to take panorama and wide angle lens photos. Once we got back, Elizabeth did us a HUGE favor and walked us up to a waterfall owned by a local family just slightly outside Aguas Calientes. It was a beautiful place and we otherwise would have never found it! We’re not very experienced hikers and the hike up to the waterfall was 45 min of steep stone stairs. She patiently kept our pace and checked in on us every couple of minutes. She went completely above and beyond! Her English was also beyond excellent. For anyone nervous about not getting Circuit 2 at Machu Picchu, don’t be! We had Circuit 3 and met people who went one day before us, who snagged Circuit 2 tickets and their photos/views were not that different from our own. We felt like we got what we came for and then some. After the Machu Picchu tour and bonus waterfall excursion, we were able to rest at the hotel before taking the train later that day. Possibly our only complaint, which is not Valencia Tours’ fault, is that this train ride was four hours and painfully slow. But, when it was all over, Miguel was waiting for us at the train station to drop us off at our hotel! He carried our bags and brought us all the way to the front desk of the hotel and even checked us in. TLDR: everything was handled for us every step of the way. Traveling to Machu Picchu requires a complete abundance of coordination of buses, trains, taxis, hotels, site tickets, and the like. Every single detail was thought of for us which made this feel like the once in a lifetime vacation we had been hoping for. If we had bad things to say, we would say them, but there are really no complaints!
