We met Jhon in Cusco before the start of our 4 day inka trail trek. From the moment we got off the bus the experience started where we were looked after talked through what would be happening over the next few days and what to bring. The inka trail itself has a great mix of hiking and activities for everyone. What added was how knowledgeable our guide Jhon was about this history of the trail and local plants and animals. The experience was organised very well with Jhon having everything organised from staying in lovely hostels to bring us to great places for food and drinks. Great experience made better with a great guide

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. for the bus ride of approximately 90 minutes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo, where we’ll take a 30-minute break, before heading to the Malaga Pass (4350 meters above sea level). From the pass, we’ll travel by bike as far as Wamanmarca (3 hours / 55km). During the ride, we’ll experience the beauty of the mountains and cloud forest. The climate will quickly change from cold and dry to hot and humid. After the bike ride, we’ll take transport to the town of Santa Maria, where you’ll have the option of doing an extra rafting tour (not included) on the Vilcanota River .
Day 2
2
At 6:30 in the morning, after a delicious breakfast, we’ll begin our first day’s hiking to the cloud forest. The first 1 hour is flat, then 2 hours of the trek will be uphill. During this time, we’ll see plantations of coca, coffee, cacao, and tropical fruits typical of the region. We’ll also make several stops, one of which will be at the house of the Pispitayoq family, where we’ll rest for about 20 minutes. Later, we’ll cross the famous original Inca trail, with magnificent views of the valley we’re going to hike through. After passing the Inca trail it will be very easy going, and after around another 90 minutes we will reach Qellomayu, the place where we’ll have lunch. After lunch, we’ll continue along the banks of the Vilcanota River for about another 3 hours, before crossing the river via a monkey bridge. Finally, after approximately 7 or 8 hours of hiking, we’ll arrive at the Cocalmayo hot springs, and later the town of Santa Teresa (1540 meters above sea level)
Day 3
3
We will eat breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Before the hike, you will have the option of zip-lining (not included.). We’ll hike for about 3 hours on a dirt trail to a hydroelectric plant, where we’ll have lunch. After lunch, we’ll continue for another 3 hours along the railroad track, observing the flora and fauna of the area along the way. The ruins of Machu Picchu can be seen in the distance. We will arrive at Aguas Calientes at around 5:00 p.m., where we will spend the night in a hostel with private bathrooms and hot water. Doing ZIP-LINE, only we will hike 3 hours to aguas calientes.
Day 4
4
At 4:20 a.m., we will begin the 90-minute hike up to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where we’ll have the opportunity to see the sunrise over the ruins. We will have a two-hour guided tour of the ruins, followed by some free time to explore the site or climb Huayna Picchu mountain. Please note: For climbing Huayna Picchu there is a fee. After visiting Machu Picchu, we will catch the train back to Ollantaytambo, from where it is a 2-hour bus ride back to the city of Cusco.

The guide made this trip what it was. We got there very tight on time, worried about a lot of events and very disorganised and John fixed everything. John was the most chill, fun and organised guide ive maybe ever had. We went for drinks, he organised events for us even outside of the inca trail for the rest of our trip, and no matter how disorganised my friends and I were, nothing ever went wrong with John at the helm. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about going for the full trek and experience.
The experience was fantastic start to finish and beyond. Our guide Jhon was great. He made the trip so enjoyable with his jokes and fun while also being very helpful and organised throughout. Once the trip was done he also helped organise our next excursions over the coming days in Cusco which was very much appreciated.
The range of activities offered in this tour was amazing! I felt like I was able to do a little of everything. Jhon was an amazing guide. He allowed us to set the pace and made sure we were able to make it to Machu Picchu. His guidance was extremely important to making the trek so fun!
Jhon was incredibly friendly and patiently answered all of our questions. The whole experience was a blast, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering it.
Jhon was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. It was a blast and I can definitely recommend this experience.
The Inca Jungle Trek was an AMAZING experience. We had quite the adventure with all the activities lined up for us while getting to explore Peru in a meaningful way! Edwin was kind and communicative, always available to answer our questions ahead of time and throughout the trip. Our guide Puma (Andy) was funny and knowledgeable, making our experience feel both fun and enriching. I would recommend this trek to anyone and everyone ✨
Amazing experience. Beautiful trek, so fun with the mountainbiking! The hot springs is such a nice experience after a long day of trekking. Our guide Gustavo was just great! - informative and such good company. Best guide we’ve had on our one month travel trough South America. So nice to stay in actual hostels doing the trip, and the food was good too! Would highly recommend!
Overall, the tour was well organized and offered a great experience. The guides were friendly, funny, and kept the group well informed throughout the trip. They created a positive atmosphere and made the three days enjoyable for everyone. The biking equipment and bicycles were not in the best condition, which is the main reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. However, they were still sufficient for the tour and did not prevent us from completing or enjoying the activities. The rafting was a highlight of the trip and was both exciting and well organized. The journey to Machu Picchu was also excellent and everything ran smoothly. The food was very tasty throughout the tour, and the accommodations were comfortable and suitable for the overnight stays. What stood out the most was the team. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Their enthusiasm and sense of humor made the experience much more enjoyable and helped create great memories. Overall, this tour offers excellent value and a great mix of adventure, culture, and fun. I would definitely recommend it to other travelers looking for an exciting way to visit Machu Picchu.
The tour was very well organized and fun from start to finish. The rafting in particular was an absolute highlight, pure adrenaline! The downhill bike tour was also a great experience, though unfortunately the mountain bikes were not in the best condition, and the safety equipment such as helmets and knee pads could have been better maintained. Given the nature of the activity, that is definitely an area worth improving. The hike to Machu Picchu was simply breathtaking, and the train ride back to Cusco was the perfect way to round off the experience. Our guide was incredibly friendly and funny, greatings to Jhonny. He kept the group together brilliantly and brought great energy throughout. The food was consistently delicious, and while the accommodations were basic, they were perfectly adequate and served their purpose well. All in all, a truly recommendable tour with minor drawbacks when it comes to equipment, but an overwhelmingly positive overall experience!
Good tour, was fun and well organized
The organisation pre tour could have been better, there was not much contact to the operator once the tour was booked. At the beginning of the tour we learned there are various tour operators grouped together with various options included (or not). This one includes everything, but nothing is organized, i.e. the guide basically had to converse with the agency and figure everything out by himself. But Jose (our guide) did an amazing job in this. The tour is great as it is combining various activities, from biking downhill (and passing some sort of river crossing the street various times (more like just water flowing but yes) for a rough 2 hours, to a hike with a wonderful view as well as well as a session making your own coffee, many amazing things are available. The zip-lining and rafting is also highly recommended as it is a lot of fun. The hot springs don't cost 3 USD, its more like 10 USD, but we stayed there (in 4 different pools and one / two cooling places) for various hours (2.5) before having some entertainment in front of the pool from around 6 pm - it is a lot of people but the pools are large enough. You spend half a day in Aguas Calientes, which can be used for shopping or heading to another hot spring or a water fall - but the water fall costs an entry fee... so well. If you have no ticket in advance there is a very high likleihood you can get one on the morning prior (which may also be the reason why you spend half a day (after buying the ticket) in Aguas Calientes.
Andy was a super guide, really funny and patient, it was an amazing experience, i 100% recommanded ! The trek was hard but worth it, beautiful views and culture.
An awesome experience. Our guide Andy really made the trip. The rafting was a lot of fun. The jungle trek is a great way to experience different activities on the way to Machu Picchu.
We have just finished a 4 Day Inka Jungle tour (family of four with two grown kids). Let me start by saying that this tour exceeded all of my expectations. Our guide Jhimmy is so knowledgeable and so good at taking care of all of the details that it just made the entire trip feel seamless. He organized the excursions, the hotels, the transportation, the meals and completely eliminated all the stress that normally comes with a complex trip like this. During the trip we biked 30 miles down a mountain, rafted down a class 2 River, ziplined across the gorge, soaked in the hot springs, and of course hiked up to Machu Picchu and through the entire site. Jhimmy was with us the whole way taking care of everything, answering our questions, pointing out plants and animals, and explaining the history and culture of the places we visited. He was absolutely amazing! One of the places we stayed was kind of like a jungle Lodge with little cabins in the woods. The proprietor is a coffee roaster and gave us a wonderful demonstration of the coffee picking and roasting experience. We roasted some fresh coffee beans in a cast iron pot over an open fire. And then he brewed us some amazing coffee. The place is rustic but amazing. If you love hiking and outdoor adventure you should seriously consider this excursion.
Everything about the experience was spectacular. All of the adrenaline activities were very well organized with an emphasis on safety and fun. They also provide all the needed accessories (helmets, biking safety, water shoes, even a towel). Our guide Jhimmy was incredibly knowledgeable about quechua culture and the history of all the places that we visited. He knew all the answers, and all the bestvtrails. He had great stories and recommendations, and was so patient with any issues that arose. The bike ride through the Andes was one of our favorite rides ever in terms of scenery and fun, and we bike all the time. The hike up to Machu Picchu was exhausting but well worth it. There are plenty of stops where you can get a quick snack or bottle of water. It is gorgeous. Jihmy took care of all the details, down to the scenic train back up to Cusco All of the accommodations were really nice and centric. The attention to detail, taste, and presentation for the meals was great. We made lifelong memories .

We had a lovely experience with Inca Path. Everything was really good organized and Edwin was quick to response to questions or concerns. Our tour guide Marco was amazing and we had a lot of fun! Will recommend it to friends and family!!
The tour was extremely well organised and our tour guides were very knowledgeable. Edwin was extremely kind and always available to help, which made that week happen without a glitch. The whole group was lovely and we had so much fun during those days. If you’re hesitant about which trek to choose, this one is a no brainer! Highly recommend
Well organized tour to Rains Mountains, highly recommended to visit red valley next to it (an easier hike) which is more beautiful and less people.
I was on a 4 day tour with guide Richard. The tour went smooth, everything was planned and arranged for our group. Hostels were clean and comfortable for the most part and the food was awesome, especially in La Casa del Mono.
We rode our bikes up to a breathtaking mountain view. The bike ride was around 50 kilometers downhill for altitude of 2,000 meters, with over 95% of the route on concrete roads, passing by several streams. I was excited at the same time it wasn’t too dangerous. The river rafting felt safe as well, with a guide on a kayak accompanying us, and although the rapids weren’t too intense, it was fun enough. Unfortunately, we couldn’t do the zip line due to local weather conditions. We went on about 10km jungle trek for three hours, where we saw avocado trees, coffee plants, Inca faces, and more. The tour concluded with the amazing sight of Machu Picchu. Everything was well-organized, and even though we changed transportation and guides a few times, there were no issues. The meals and accommodations were also nice. We had a fantastic three days on this tour, and it was the perfect way to reach Machu Picchu. I highly, highly recommend it!
Our tour overall was very well organized - Edwin in particular made sure that we had all the tickets we needed, including the best Machu Picchu entrance tickets and train tickets back from Aguas Calientes. Other travelers in our tour group used different companies and had a LOT more problems, so we were very grateful for Edwin organizing ours so well! Only complaint is that we were paired with tour guides who were a bit uncommunicative/confusing about the plans each day. But overall we had a fantastic experience, the activities were all fun (especially the rafting), and we got to see Machu Picchu before all the crowds arrived which was spectacular :D
This excursion is perfect for those who was the experience but not as much of the uphill hiking through the jungle. Edwin was our guide and made us feel right at home from the start. Very kind and took time to answer all the questions we had about the area and history behind Peruvian culture. By the end of the trip we felt he was part of the family. We started our day at the top of a peak where we road bike downhill (on a paved road) weaving in and out of the mountains. We got to take in the sites and it was beautiful. Once we reached our destination, we loaded up in our car to drive another hour or so to a place where we got to white water raft. It was cool to ride the river through the mountains. Day 2 we got up in the morning zip line over the river which was amazing!! Then headed on a 6 mile trek through the jungle. The scenery is peaceful and beautiful (but make sure you wear lots of bug spray. The bugs are no joke). Once at the end, we had a nice dinner and a fun night out with some other tourists in town. Meals are included along your trip and did no disappoint. Every meal was big and full of variety so there is something for everyone. The hosts are kind and very accommodating. In the morning you get up early and head to Machu Picchu. You can hike or take the bus. We chose the bus bc the morning came too early for us lol. You get a guide while at the site. Talk about a serine experience. The sites and history are amazing to take in and experience. You get to spend a couple hours exploring and getting pics and then head back to the town. We opted to take the train back to Cusco to save a few hours of windy mountain roads in a van.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Inca Jungle Trek. It was an exhilarating adventure filled with diverse activities—mountain biking, river rafting, ziplining, hiking to Aguas Calientes, and, of course, visiting Machu Picchu. If you're physically fit and have a taste for adventure, we highly recommend this unique way to experience Machu Picchu. Since we didn't have tickets for Machu Picchu beforehand, the tour company was flexible and adapted the itinerary. We ended up ziplining on day two, which allowed us to set out early on day three, hike to Aguas Calientes, and secure one of the 1,000 on-the-spot Machu Picchu tickets. This level of adaptability was much appreciated. However, there were a few issues worth noting. We paid for the river rafting footage but initially did not receive it. Thankfully, the company stepped in, helped us get in touch with the provider, and we eventually received our photos. Communication between the tour operator and the companies handling each activity could be improved. We found ourselves having to reiterate key details, such as our lack of Machu Picchu tickets, which led to some confusion. I recommend confirming all important points with your guide to avoid any misunderstandings. It's also important to note that while the tour price was advertised as all-inclusive, there were additional costs that we weren't fully prepared for. For example, after an exhausting first day of mountain biking and rafting, we had the choice to either hike two hours uphill in the dark or pay extra for a pick-up that would take us there in about an hour. There were also other unexpected expenses, such as fees for river crossings on the second day, an early bus to the train station, and differences in the Machu Picchu ticket price. Additionally, although all meals were included, water was not, and we had to buy it at a premium in remote locations. We recommend bringing a filter bottle or extra water, especially for the first two days, to avoid overpaying. Despite these minor setbacks, we would still highly recommend the Inca Jungle Trek to future travelers. Just be sure to come prepared for a few unexpected expenses and to communicate clearly with your guide to ensure a smooth experience.
we did 2 tours with Edwin, one to the sacred valley and another to machu picchu. Both were organised very well and especially on the machu picchu tour there were people around that specifically came to guide us to where we had to go. Would recommend Edwin!
The last four days have easily been the best experience we've had in our four months travelling in South America. We chose the jungle trek because it was something a little different to the pure trekking we've done elsewhere and it really didn't disappoint. This was made 100 times better by our amazing guide Juan Carlos who had brilliant knowledge of the history of the Inca people as well as helping us understand and appreciate the traditions and beliefs of both the Incas and current native Peruvian culture. We also had many stops along the way to taste all the varieties of fruits and to learn more about the more sinister vegetation in the jungle around Cusco. Will be recommending this to absolutely everyone!
Amazing trek through the jungle. It could get really hot at times, and be aware of Mosquitos, but worth it! Every single day was filled with other activities and let's just say from bathing in hot waters to zip-lining everything was amazing. Would I do it again? Yeah. When you arrive in Machu Picchu that is just one of the most amazing feelings in the world!
This company was very helpful and the price was very cheap compared to other places. The jungle trek was so much fun, cycling downhill, zip lining across a river, trekking through the jungle and the final day at Machu Picchu. The guides were helpful and fun, all together it was an amazing trip and would recommend it.
We decide to make our 4d3n tour with this company and it was the best choice. The owner was very helpful and gladly explained everything to us, he was on phone when we needed something and the services even exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend them ;)
We had a great tour with our guide José, who took a lot of time to explain everything to us, to inform about the country and people and also adapted the tour to individual wishes on site. We especially liked the first accommodation in the jungle, but also the time in Santa Teresa with the zip-lining and the hot springs. The absolute highlight was the Machu Picchu visit!! Thanks for the great organization!
Nice experience in cycling, canoeing, ziplining and Inca trail the guides always attentive with each of us best experience in Peru
One of the best experiences I had in Peru and machupicchu, thanks to the travel agency and our guide who taught us the story.
Inca Jungle with many adventures such as rafting, shooting and finale with machupicchu was nice experience and good organization by the agency. 100% recommended
Bicycles, rafting, jungle trekking, Machu Picchu, nothing was possible and fun. The guides were also friendly and the tour operator consultants were constantly in contact and were friendly.
We did the jungle trek, it was a great experience, we start with a long mountain bike ride followed by rafting, ziplining, we slept in the jungle, the place and the life was amazing, you can go there with your eyes closed
An adventure by Inca jungle with many adventures canoeing, bike and zip line where our guide was very friendly with the whole group.
One of my best experiences with the agency, guide, driver and the very excellent organization I fully recommend.
