Our guides were Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, and Cipriam. They took very good care of our group for the entire two days. They're very personable and every interaction made someone smile or laugh even when we were tired from the hiking. We learned a lot from the tour of Machu Picchu. They also taught us some Quechua so to them, tupananchiscama wayki 🤙
What an incredible hike and unforgettable Machu Picchu experience! This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing people who guided, supported, and shared every step of the way with us. Big shout out to Ronaldo, Ronaldino and Ciprian! 👏 Beyond the breathtaking views and challenging hike, we learned so much about the culture, history, and even a beautiful Quechua word: Tupananchiskama — “until we meet again.” Grateful for the memories, the lessons, the laughter, and most of all, the wonderful people who made this adventure truly special. Tupananchiskama! ❤️
Ronaldino and Puma (Ciprian) were the most amazing tour guides I have ever had! They really tolerated our craziness and matched our energy by crack jokes with us! They knew how to be adaptive with all of us different type of people on this hike and it made the experience so beautiful for us all. Ronaldino and puma thank you. Tupananchiscama!
Ronaldo, Ronaldino & Ciprian (Puma) worked well together in making our trip starting from the airport to our Machu Picchu tour. Ronaldino & Puma were always with us , imparting the Peruvian culture & tradition in a way that we can retain. Tupananchiskama, is the most meaningful word that I learned from this trip.
This is a very memorable and fun experience for me and my friends. Our guides, Ronaldinho and Cipriano were realy amazing and professional. Both were very knowledgeable with the trails to Machu Picchu and around it. Ronaldinho made it easy and enjoyable, which is not easy to do. They answered our questions and made sure we are comfortable and safe with what we do. To ronanldhino and cipriano. Tupananchiskama!
10/10 would recommend doing this trail. Ronaldino, Ronaldo and Ciprian made this experience super easy. Ronaldino and Ciprian were very helpful and made sure we were all safe and having a good time. The hike was challenging but definitely by the end of this, I made some lifetime friends with them! Tupananchiscama
Our family wanted a full Peru adventure, and Champions Peru Travel created the perfect custom trip for us. Ronaldo helped us fit Moray, Maras, Humantay Lake, the 2-Day Inca Trail, Rainbow Mountain and Machu Picchu into one amazing vacation. He paid attention to every detail and always replied quickly, so planning was easy and each day went as planned. The guides made a big difference on our trip. They were passionate, patient, and always happy to answer our questions about Inca history, local traditions, and the Andean landscapes. On the 2 Day Inca Trail, Simon made the experience unforgettable with his energy and knowledge of every site we visited. Chef Sinchi made one of the best lunches of our trip while we hiked to Machu Picchu. Everything was fresh, nicely presented, and tasted great. Walking the Inca Trail and reaching the Sun Gate to see Machu Picchu was a moment we’ll never forget. We stayed at Casa Andina, which was comfortable before exploring the citadel the next morning. Humantay Lake amazed us with its clear turquoise water and Rainbow Mountain had some of the best views we’ve ever seen. Visiting Moray and the Maras Salt Mines showed us a new side of the region’s traditions and creativity. Each place was unique, so the trip felt balanced between culture, history, and adventure. We could not have chosen a better travel company. Champions Peru Travel provided excellent service throughout, and Ronaldo ensured every detail was managed before and during the trip. We returned with lasting memories and recommend this company to anyone seeking a personalized and stress-free Peru experience.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Champions Peru Travel. Right from booking, Ronaldo was always there to answer our questions and made everything easy and stress-free. Every detail was planned out, and it was clear the company really cares about giving you a great trip. We were lucky to have Aldo as our guide. He was professional, patient, and knew so much about Inca history, nature, and local culture. During the hike, he shared interesting stories that made each site more meaningful. He encouraged everyone and let us go at our own pace, which made the whole trip relaxed and fun. Lunch on the trail from Chef Sinchi was way better than we expected. The food was fresh, the portions were big, and the flavors were amazing, it was one of the best meals of our whole trip. After lunch, we walked through beautiful scenery with lots of green plants and mountain views before reaching the famous Sun Gate. Seeing Machu Picchu for the first time from there was just breathtaking. That night, we stayed at Casa Andina in Aguas Calientes. Our room was comfortable, and we got a great night’s sleep before visiting Machu Picchu the next morning. The guided tour inside the citadel was excellent and made the whole experience even better. If you’re thinking about doing the Short Inca Trail or the 2-Day Inca Trail, we really recommend booking with Champions Peru Travel. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly team made this one of the best tours we’ve ever had.
We had an amazing experience with Champions! From the very beginning, Ronaldo in the office made everything so easy. He handled our booking professionally and arranged excellent train tickets and a beautiful hotel with a jacuzzi, making our trip completely stress-free. Our guide, Simon, was absolutely fantastic. His English was excellent, and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging throughout the hike. He shared fascinating information about the Inca sites, local history, and the flora and fauna along the trail. He also took incredible photos of us, giving us memories that will last a lifetime. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Champions to anyone planning a hike to Machu Picchu. They truly live up to their motto: Travel with Locals, Travel with Champions!
This 2-day Inca Trail tour was outstanding! The coordinator, Ronaldo, was very responsive, quickly getting back and helping us clarify and coordinate prior to the tour. The night before we met him and the guide, Simón, who turned out to be an incredible guide, a very prepared mountain expert, and overall a great and fun travel buddy! Simon explained to us the plan for the following two days, took our information and we completed the payment there. The morning after, Simón came to pick us up with the driver Ricardo. We were driven to the train station with a very relaxing ride - nice music and a lovely lemon grass diffuser. Felt like a spa! Once at the station, we had breakfast and took our train with Simon. We had the pleasure of getting to know him more and more during the ride and the hike. A lovely soul with a very encouraging and calm presence. We had lunch after two hours hike (medium challenging) at a base camp where not only we were shown one of the ancient Inca settlements but also ate the BEST food we had in Perù prepared by a tireless chef. We felt very spoilt! The hike then continued up to the actual site of Machupicchu where we enjoyed one of the most unexpected views over one of the seven world's wonders. The first night we had time to take a shower, rest a bit and join our guide for a lovely dinner to a local restaurant. The visit to the actual site included circuit 1, which we did on day one, and circuit 3, the latter being the one we completed under the guide of Simon on day two. Simon gave us a comprehensive and engaging historical overview of the site, which made the visit incredibly enriching. After that, which lasted a couple of hours, we went back to Aguas Calientes to collect our things and have a lovely lunch at the local market. Simón recommended where to have lunch and walked with us to the station after that. Once arrived to Ollantaytambo, Ricardo was there again to bring us back by car. He was so patient and kind, with great music taste! We would definitely chose Champions again. Great service, incredible value for money, and lifelong memories!
Choosing to hike the Short Inca Trail with Champions Peru Travel was the highlight of our trip to Peru. From the first interaction, Maria impressed us with clear, quick, helpful communication that gave us confidence in their services. The price was fair, and the booking process was smooth. Our guide, Wilson, made the journey special. His passion and knowledge brought every part of the trail to life, from ancient Inca ruins to the local flora and fauna. The hike was moderate and scenic. A surprise favorite was the lunch served halfway through the trail, which felt like a luxury in the middle of nature. We explored several archaeological sites, but Wiñayhuayna stood out for its beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Arriving at Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate in the afternoon was unforgettable. After a good night's rest at Tierra Viva Hotel, we toured the citadel and hiked up Huayna Picchu. Even with clouds and rain, the experience felt magical. We ended the journey with a scenic train ride and a smooth transfer back to Cusco thanks to David, our driver. Champions Peru delivered an unforgettable and perfectly organized experience from start to finish.
After reaching out to a couple of tour agencies, we decided to go with Champions Peru Travel. It was the best choice we could have made. From the beginning, communication was excellent. Maria responded quickly and provided all the detailed information we needed, which gave us confidence in booking with them. The price was fair, and the booking process was smooth and fast. Our guide for the trek was Wilson, and we can't say enough great things about him. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the Inca trail, archaeological sites, and the surrounding nature throughout the hike. The Short Inca Trail was beautiful and manageable, a moderate level hike with breathtaking scenery. One highlight of the day was a camping-style lunch halfway through the trail. It was fresh, delicious, and energizing! We visited several stunning Inca sites along the way, but Wiñayhuayna was our favorite. It was a magical place with fewer crowds and incredible views. Reaching Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate in the afternoon was unforgettable. Seeing the citadel from that vantage point, with the soft afternoon light, was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. That night, we stayed at Tierra Viva Hotel, a comfortable and well-located spot. The next morning, we had a guided tour of Machu Picchu and then hiked Huayna Picchu. The weather was a mix of clouds and light rain, but it didn’t take away from the experience. The mist even added a mystical vibe. In the afternoon, we returned by train to the Sacred Valley, where our driver, David, was ready to take us back to our hotel in Cusco. The entire process was well coordinated. We highly recommend Champions Peru Travel. Their professional team made our experience seamless and memorable. If you plan to hike the Short Inca Trail or visit Machu Picchu, we encourage you to choose their services.
Our 2 day tour of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was definitely one of the best parts of our trip to Peru. Everything was organised and stress-free right from the start. On the first day, we explored the beautiful Sacred Valley and visited amazing places like Pisac and Ollantaytambo. The scenery was stunning, with lush valleys, traditional villages and impressive Inca ruins, which showed us the rich history and culture of Peru. Our guide, Ruben, was exceptional. He was friendly, patient and knew a lot. What we liked most was how he explained the historical and cultural importance of each place in a way that was easy to understand and interesting. He also gave us space to explore on our own and was always open to questions. After the Sacred Valley, we took the train to Aguas Calientes. There, everything was arranged for us. This included a smooth check-in at our hotel and clear instructions for the next day. The next morning, we went to Machu Picchu, and it was even more beautiful than we thought it would be. Ruben showed us around the site and pointed out things we would have missed if we had been on our own. He told the story of the Incas and why the site was so important, which made the ruins seem real. After the tour, we had time to explore on our own and enjoy the magical atmosphere. This 2 day tour is a great choice if you want to experience both the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu without rushing. It was the perfect mix of guided insight and personal exploration, with all the logistics handled professionally by Champions Peru Travel. We really enjoyed the experience, especially because Ruben was our guide. Travel with locals, travel with Champions.
I am so glad we did the 2 day Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The experience perfectly combined adventure, history and stunning natural beauty in a way that felt both exciting and easy to enjoy. From the moment we got off the train at KM 104, the trail was full of surprises. We saw lush forests, mountain views, waterfalls and ancient Inca sites hidden in the landscape. The best part of the hike was Wiñay Wayna, a beautiful archaeological site that felt almost untouched and was incredibly peaceful. Our guide, Miguel, made the whole trip much more meaningful. He told us some really interesting stories about the Inca civilisation and explained the history of the places we visited. He was also very careful to make sure we were comfortable and that we were able to keep up with him. What stood out was how passionate and friendly he was. He was passionate about the history and he also made sure that we felt connected to the journey. Reaching the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) in the late afternoon and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time from above was amazing and emotional. We spent the night in Aguas Calientes at Casa Andina, a nice hotel arranged by the agency. It was the perfect place to relax after a good day's hiking. The next morning, we returned early to Machu Picchu for a full guided tour, which gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation of this incredible place. Going through the Sun Gate and exploring the ruins made the experience feel complete and unforgettable. This tour is perfect for people who want to experience the Inca Trail but don't want to do the full four day hike. It's a great mix of adventure, culture and comfort. Champions Peru Travel did a great job. They took care of everything, from getting the right permits and train tickets to making sure we had a good place to stay and a good guide. With Miguel's expert help and the team's smooth organisation, everything felt easy and important. I would highly recommend this experience with Champions Peru Travel to anyone who dreams of Machu Picchu.
