It was an incredible experience! We had an excellent tour guide named Saúl Palma. He told us about everything and explained the history of each place in a very calm, clear, and easy-to-understand way. He took us to the most beautiful places, where there weren't many people. Everything was excellent! He was very kind to us and always made sure we had a great time and enjoyed the experience. We highly recommend him!

We had the best time on this tour. We were blessed with the best tour guide in Saul. He was very passionate and very knowledgeable. He is local to the cities we passed through and we loved his enthusiasm and excitement for the sites and cities. He and the company took care of everything. We didn't have to worry about where to be or what to do. He showed us everything. Saul has been doing this for many years, but his enthusiasm is still top notch.
Saul Palma was our tour guide and he was INCREDIBLE! He was so fun to hang out with for two days and it was so fun hearing all of his stories! He was very knowledgeable about each of the places we visited! He has so many connections and knew exactly how to help us get the best experiences at each of the places we visited! We seriously didn’t have to worry about anything, he took excellent care of us!
Mr David Condori is the best and most professional guide. He is very knowledgeable and provided us lots of information. He is a nice and polite guide. Alpaca Expeditions has been excellent so far, but we have more tour of our vacation. Many thanks to David Condori and Alpaca Expeditions.
I had an amazing tour to the Pisaq Inca City and the Pisaq new collonical city, organised by Alpaca Expeditions. I booked a solo private tour for 8 days. This is the first tour after I arrived last night in Ollantaytambo. The driver Michael picked me up this morning at 7 am. With him was my guide Lucio Vargas. Together we drove along the Sacred Valley through Urubamba, to the Pisaq ancient Inca city. The driver left us at the top entrance and collected us from the bottom entrace about 2.5 hours later. The guide walked along with me, slowly, at my pace, and showed me the entire city. He explained all the history, archeological, architectural features, as long as what various plants there were and how they were used, and the animals of the Inca. I loved the tour. It has stairs clearly set up so it is safe to go, and at your own pace it is great. The height was 3550, but did not have breathing issues. We then came down and visited the collonian new city of Pisaq with its market of artisanal souveniers. Then we drove further to Urubamba, where we ate at a great all you can eat buffet Don Angel. We then came back to Ollantaytambo, from where I take the train to Aguas Calientes, so I can see Machu Picchu the next day. In the following days I also do other tours with Alpaca Expeditios to see other places along the Sacred Valley. Overall, a great experience and I recommend the company, Michael and Lucio!
Victor and Ingra were amazing and we had such a fantastic time on the hikes. The energy was spectacular and they did an exceptional job in telling the history each time we stopped. I'm so grateful for this experience and felt lucky to have such incredible guides!
Our tour guide was called Luis and he is amazing! He took us lots of photos, have lots of facts and had a great sense of humour. The experience was great because there was extraordinary panoramic views and our guide was very patient, caring and was thoughtful of which spots to go to. The length of the visit was perfect to have a thorough exploration and have lots of fun while the crowd size was bearable and comfortable. This tour is beast for families and photographers and although it was expensive, it is absolutely worth a visit!
This trip was amazing! It was so well organized, so informative, and we had the pleasure of having more than one awesome tour guide. Saul Palma was our main guide for the tour--very personable, flexible, and helpful. Not only did he give us a fun and interesting tour of all the stops, but he was quick to carry my mom's bag for her or arrange for us to meet up with my brother's group, who were on a different tour at the same time. Once we met up with my brother's tour, one of their guides (Felix) helped my 83-year-old mom up and down every stair on circuit one. We were then handed over to Ishmael who gave us great information about Machu Picchu, and got us in the front of a loooooong bus line with a fourth guide. We might have missed our return train if they had not done that. Loved the alpaca farm (didn't get the name of the super bubbly guide there). The only down side--there was much more uphill walking and stairs than my mom and I anticipated. (I guess the same could be said of all of Peru.) Still, they helped us when we wanted to tackle it and gave us meeting point options when we didn't. I highly recommend this tour group--don't hesitate to book with them!
My experience with Alpaca Expeditions was absolutely amazing. My friends & I did the 2-Day Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu tour from Cusco and I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Our guide Ronny was awesome! From communications leading to our excursion, to giving us knowledgeable information at all the sites along the way, he went above and beyond in making sure my friends & I all had a great time. It was great having a guide who was from Cusco! The food included was delicious and our hotel stay in Aguascalientes was beautiful as well. Thank you Ronny!
It was a very interesting experience with local sites I would not be able to find by myself. My guide Ronny was super knowledgeable and funny! Loved the tour, thanks Alpaca Expedition.
Ronny the tour guide was amazing!! Super nice and knowledgeable. Alpaca expeditions made the whole process and trip to Machu Picchu smooth and easy. Would rebook again.
My wife and friends and I booked our tour with Alpaca Expeditions. We had a tour guide, Ronny, who was genuinely so great. He really leveled up the overall tour experience and gave us a ton of good information about all of the things we were seeing. He was nice and definitely a highlight of the tour. The overall tour company was well organized, timely, had good communication, and helped support workers who are local to Cusco area.
Our expedition was great and planning was smooth. I never felt confusion or doubts about what we were going to do any of the days. Our guide Ronny was very friendly and knowledgeable and loved to share the history of the Andean people with us. It’s also really cool that this company employs local people to Cusco, so being able to give back to the community made me happy.
We had an amazing time with Alpaca Expeditions. Saul Palma was our guide and he was wonderful. He was very patient and kind. He also was super knowledgeable on all the education about the Sacred Valley sights and Machu Picchu. I’ve done Machu Picchu many years ago and never learned as much knowledge as I did with Saul. Would definitely go again !
We got to do this tour with David, who is was an amazing guide, super knowledgeable and passionate for Cusco and the history and culture of his country. The tour itself goes through all the major spots in both cusco and the sacred valley, bringing you incredible views + amazing constructions of a past civilization. Oh... and lots of cute lamas and alpacas!
Had a great experience with Alpaca Expeditions! My guide Saul did a great job of taking our group through the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. He had a lot of knowledge of the area and the Incan history. He was also a great storyteller, which made learning more enjoyable.
We booked directly thru alpaca expeditions and the communication and planning prep in their emails was great. The process was smooth from check in the day before and our tour guide Ruben (sandwich) 😁 was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. We received an authentic experience and learned so much, never a dull moment with Ruben. Would highly recommend, he also helped us get great pictures
One of the best experiences ever! Alpaca is a bit more expensive than some of the other tour operators but when you take a tour with them it is very obvious why. They are the most professional and the most organised tour company I have ever used. Trips in Peru can be a bit overwhelming and it can be stressful organising tickets, transport, hotels, food, etc, but with Alpaca you don't need to think about a single thing. It was so relaxed and so comforting. Out guide David Condori was a total legend. His passion for Peru, particularly the Cusco/Sacred Valley, shines through his face. He his so knowledgeable about the region and the Inca culture and is so excited to share it with his guests. The content of the trip is amazing too. Most of the trips I've done in Peru start with an endless minibus journey, but on this trip you reach the first stop in ~30mins, spending time with the animals of the Incas. Alpacas, Llama, Guanaco, and Vicunas, a guide explains information about each animal to you and then you get to watch some local women weave alpaca clothing. The two archaeological sites of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo are also amazing experiences. The food provided is also really good and offers a good opportunity to sample Peruvian cuisine. The train ride to Aguas Calientes is good fun with amazing views, and the hotel is really nice and modern. Macchu Pichu is obviously incredible, but going round with David made it 100x better. We took it slow and easy with lots of time for explanation and photographs. David is an excellent photographer. All around it was an amazing experience and I would recommend using Alpaca Expeditions to everyone.
We are so glad we booked with Alpaca Expeditions to go to Machu Pichhu! David Condori Villanueva was our tour guide. He went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly every step of the way from Cusco to Machu Puchhu with some amazing stops along the way. David is passionate about history and he was great at explaining everything to us at Machu Pichhu and other stops. He knew we were exhausted and always checked in and tried to get us faster service at restaurants. Overall, our tour was excellent!
We did the Sacred Valley of the Incas tour with David Condori Villanueva and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also gave us time to explore a little on our own while thoroughly explaining the history and significance of each place. The Llama and Alpaca farm was a huge highlight and delightful surprise also.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience exploring the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Our guide, Rubén, made the entire journey even more enjoyable with his knowledge, kindness, and great sense of humor. He made the experience fun, memorable, and truly special. A big thank you to Rubén and the entire team for making our trip so amazing. We highly recommend this experience!
Ronnie was the best tour guide. He was very communicative and made sure we got on all of our buses and trains. He was an amazing tour guide in Machu Picchu and answered all of our questions. We didn't have to worry about anything.
Our guide, Frank the tank was great! From the beginning to the end was very informative and knowledgeable. The food was delicious!! Our cook and helpers were always professional and made our experience more enjoyable. I would 100% recommend you do any of the tour this company has available, we weren’t aware that they had other excursions like rainbow mountain and Laguna Humantay, or we would have booked with them as well.
Valuable journey from Cusco through the Sacred Valley and up to Machu Pichu. It was a long and tiring couple of days. First day was ~10 hours between the van, stops, excursions, and train ride up to Aguas Calientes. From there a nice hike up to the hotel. Dinner was included and great. The hotel was wonderful for such a small town. The next day, up at 0500 and in the bus by 7. 3 hours up and back to Machu Pichu and then a few hours to shop and eat and relax. Then the long day continues with 2 hour train to another 2.5 hour van back to Cusco. All in all, a wonderful experience and worth the money. It was a journey though. Luis was our guide and did a wonderful job with logistics, information, and he made the overall experience with Alpaca Expeditions was very good.
Wonderful experience on this tour! Saul, our tour guide was the best! He kept everything organized and we never had to worry about a thing. He provided us with a very informative tour packed with amazing scenery, views and experiences. I would highly recommend this tour and Alpaca Expeditions, they were extremely accommodating!
If I could give one million stars, I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I truly cannot say enough incredible things about our guide, Rony. I was added to this trip very last minute and had some very specific circumstances and requests, and he went completely above and beyond to accommodate me and make sure I had the Machu Picchu experience I had dreamed of. He was kind, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. Nothing ever felt like too much to ask, and he repeatedly went out of his way for us in ways he absolutely didn’t have to. Machu Picchu is already a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but having a guide like Rony who cares this much made it even more extraordinary. One million stars. If you have the opportunity to experience Machu Picchu with him, consider yourself very, very lucky. 💛
My guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable, informative, patient, and a great photographer!
Wonderful trip! Amazing guide Rony was great and so much informative! Will request him to anyone i know that is coming to MP!
Rony was amazing! Best guide ever!!!
Did a trip to Sacred Valley with David (guide) and had a great learning time. David is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of Inca civilization and Sacred Valley in general. David was extremely patient in answering any questions and is a good communicator. David never rushed while moving from one location to another. Thank you David and Alpaca
Having the guided tour with Saul Palma made all the difference, he is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history of the sites. He spoke perfect English and continually communicated with us. This was actually a reschedule as we couldn’t do the full Salkantay trek due to altitude sickness. The agents at Alpaca were super helpful in getting us as much of the experience as we could under the circumstances. The first day we visited many sites and had some cultural tours which helped break up all the travel to get to Águas Calientes. The hotel in Águas Calientes was amazing with probably the best shower I’ve had in Peru. The highlight was obviously Machu Picchu with Saul. The place was amazing and the guided tour added a lot of richness to the experience. If I come back to Peru I wouldn’t think twice about going with Alpaca expeditions and Saul Palma. Highly recommend!!!
Amazing experience! Our tour guide Reynaldo was the best. He was so knowledgeable and informative. We learned so much about the culture and history. The meal prepared on day 1 lunch was spectacular. I highly recommend booking with Alpaca Expeditions
Had a fantastic time on our expedition! Our tour guides were Reynaldo I and II, they were amazing! Stress free trip and so much fun. Definitely recommend!
Experience of a life time. We made a friend for life I our guide Jose. He was so brilliant to us. We had such a brilliant time. And we couldn’t recommend Jose Santos highly enough. Juan the chef looked after us very well also. Large meals.
This was a fantastic experience. I would recommend the tour and our tour guide Jose Santoz was brilliant - passionate and informative.
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The tour was well planned so that we got to see alot but still have some down time Our guide, David Vilanueava, was really great! He was so knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and made it a very enjoyable experience. He was really attentive to our group and took care of all the logistics so that we could just enjoy. Overall, great experience!
What a wonderful experience! From start to finish, Alpaca Expeditions took care of every detail, making it so easy to simply relax, enjoy the journey, and take in everything this incredible experience had to offer. It was such a treat not to have to plan a single thing myself, yet still experience all of the highlights and so much more. Every part of the tour was thoughtfully planned, from the scheduled stops and extra excursions to the transportation, accommodations, and incredible guides. Our tour guide, David Condori Villanueva, was truly exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about his work. His love for Peru and its history was so clear, and it was a special privilege to learn from someone who was so genuinely enthusiastic about sharing his country with us. He also did a wonderful job setting a comfortable pace for our group and was always attentive to our needs, including making sure we had plenty of opportunities for breaks. He also had the best hacks, 'shortcuts', and pointed out the best places to take photos. The transportation and hotel accommodations were excellent as well. Honestly, one of the best parts of the entire experience was being able to book the tour and then not have to worry about anything else. Alpaca Expeditions handled literally every detail, allowing us to simply enjoy the adventure. I had an absolutely amazing time and would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to experience everything the sacred valley has to offer.
Amazing experience. Tour was excellent, guide has a lot of experience, logistics were totally fine
Luz was an amazing guide, very kind and knowledgeful about the history of Cusco and the Inca Empire. I had a great time with her on my tour to the Sacred Valley, Pisac and Ollantaytambo.
Luzmarina Cacere picked us up in Urubamba at our Airbnb. A big surprise is she also handled all our luggages. My wife and I enjoyed the conversation a great deal. We will definitely book with Alpaca again next time.
Excellent experience, exceeded our expectations. We received a lot of support throughout the entire trip from our guides: Sabino and Jimy. We couldn't have done it without them. The food was phenomenal. The chefs did an ezcellent job feeding us and accommodating all dietary needs. My only feedback is that they didn't share recipes but will have fun trying to re- create them on my own. We camped, the tent, sleeping mat and bag was extremely comfortable and clean. My wife was excited they provided a pillow. Our guide Sabino made our experience at Machu Picchu memorable with all of the knowledge and history he shared with us. Jimny was the most awesome photographer. The price was more than reasonable for what we received. We will be certain to recommend them to family and friends.
I had a great time! Our guide Ronnie was very informative and friendly. I would recommend alpaca expeditions and Ronnie to future travelers.
We had an amazing 2-day trip Macchu Picchu and sacred valley booked directly with Alpaca Expeditions. The tour includes tickets to sites, transportation and meals. Rony, our tour guide is very knowledgeable and passionate about his culture and land. He could answer all our questions which is a true highlight for our trips in all the Inca sites and Macchu Picchu.
Ronnie took care of my family very well in our 4-day Cusco trip. The tour was informative and insightful. Totally worth the money and time.
Was fun! Had a great experience with reynaldo.
Amazing Nilton Quispe and Marley Anccalle made it a wonderful experience. Everyone was nothing but totally wonderful. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. I can’t imagine a better experience.
I love my experience trekking with our guide Frank the Tank. Thanks again !
Luis was a wonderful guide for my trip to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. He has very good english, is so knowledgeable and is a great guy. If you're lucky enough to get a tour of Machu Picchu circuit 3 he will ensure you see everything and get amazing photos. The logistics were all taken care of and the whole process was made much easier. Well worth the money.
Amazing! Rony our was very nice and funny. He was super knowledgeable on the history too. Would recommend tour to any friends coming here
