I loved the itinerary on our July 21-30, 2026 private tour for a group of seven. The destinations were incredible, and the local guides were outstanding. They deserve five stars. Unfortunately, the tour company itself does not. If I could separate the itinerary and guides from the company, I would. The company would receive zero stars for communication, customer service, and accountability. Problems started before we even left home. Our original contact had apparently left the company, but no one told us. We continued reaching out with questions and received no response. Then, as we were heading to the airport, we finally learned he no longer worked there and were informed of strict luggage restrictions on our domestic flights, resulting in unnecessary last-minute repacking. When we arrived in Lima at 5:00 a.m., one of our rooms was ready, but despite the company's relationship with the hotel and knowing our arrival time, we were not allowed access until 10:00 a.m. after an overnight international flight. The hotel near Machu Picchu was the most disappointing accommodation of the trip. The room was not clean, had no air conditioning, and required us to keep the windows open at night for ventilation. Street noise and insects made it difficult to sleep. There were also several logistical failures. On our transfer from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, we left our hotel at 6:00 a.m. without breakfast-to-go boxes, which had been provided on other early departures. Upon arrival to Puerto Maldonado, we were told our guide would meet us at noon, but the lodge would not release our boxed lunches early. As a result, we had to purchase breakfast while waiting. We ultimately did not depart until 1:30 p.m. The company told us this was always the schedule, but our guide later explained the delay was caused by a late flight carrying other guests joining the group. Once again, the information we received was dishonest. We enjoyed our stay in the Amazon near Puerto Maldonado, and the guides and excursions were excellent. However, important information about the lodge was never communicated. Travelers should know there is no air conditioning, no electrical outlets in the rooms, and lights are only available during certain hours. The lodge does offer Starlink internet and charging stations in common areas, but this should be disclosed in advance so guests know what to expect. The most frustrating issue occurred on our return trip. Instead of booking a direct flight from Puerto Maldonado to Lima, the company booked us through Cusco and specifically told us we would remain on the same aircraft. That information was incorrect. We were required to deplane, recheck in, and obtain new boarding passes, causing us to miss our flight. We ultimately had to rebook the flights ourselves, resulting in further delays on our final day. This seemed to be part of a larger pattern of prioritizing cost over traveler experience. Several flights involved very early departures, long layovers, or unnecessary connections when more convenient options appeared to be available. While cost is always a consideration, when booking a premium private tour, we expected better flight arrangements and greater transparency. When we finally arrived in Lima, our usual driver was not there because, as he later confirmed, the company never contacted him. Instead, we were split between two taxi vans. One was dirty, and the driver repeatedly looked at a GPS device while driving to the point that several passengers felt unsafe. What disappointed me most was not that mistakes happened. Travel is unpredictable. It was the lack of communication, inaccurate information, and lack of accountability afterward. I requested reasonable compensation for the numerous service failures and never received a response. Radio silence. I rarely write negative reviews, but future travelers should know that while the itinerary and local guides were excellent, the company managing the experience fell far short of expectations. They need to improve their communication, honesty, and customer service.

It was a wonderful experience. We met our guide the day before our departure at our hotel, and he gave us all the information about the trek. We spent the two days with our guide, Roro Sayco, who was fantastic. Thanks to him, we were able to discover Machu Picchu and learn about its history.
It was a great experience to walk on the path built by the Incas and see the remaining structures of their amazing culture. Stiven, our tour guide, was perfectly prepared in terms of history, culture and natural history. We not only learned from him, but also became friends along the way. The program is excellent value for money. I can only recommend it to everyone, adding that it is a route recommended only for regular hikers.
We did the tour with Stiven and it was really great. The tour was perfect organized, we got a nice lunch package for breakfast and lunch. Dinner was in a restaurant in Aguas Calientes and also good. The hiking was impressive, we enjoyed it a lot. Stiven explained so much about the history, plants, animals and Culture. Additionally he took really good care of the nature and the protection of the national reserve. It was a perfect mix of everything. The highlight of the first day was the view of Machu Picchu from the sun gate. But also the circuit tour 3 on the second day was so impressive, Stiven has an incredible knowledge. I can really recommend this tour, the price is maybe a little bit high but therefore you can enjoy Machu Picchu two times and you really get what you book.
I had an amazing experience on this tour! Flor, the coordinator, was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond to accommodate several of our needs and always reassured us with her texts saying, "I'm here 24x7 with any help", and she truly meant it. Our tour guide, Eduardo, was equally outstanding. His deep knowledge, active lifestyle, and genuine connection to the culture made the journey incredibly enriching. It was a joy to learn about the heritage and explore the breathtaking grounds of Machu Picchu with him. The hike although not easy, was enjoyable under his guidance, and his clear instructions made navigating back effortless. Flor and Eduardo also arranged special transportation for us so we could be dropped off directly at our hotel in Cusco rather than the center, which was a thoughtful touch. I would absolutely recommend this tour, especially to those who want the flexibility to set their own pace. The rates were incredibly reasonable for the top-notch service we received. Thank you, Flor and Eduardo, for making this an unforgettable experience!
My guide Katy was lovely. I am a 61 year old woman travelling solo and Katy was very patient with me as l walk at a slow pace and like to take in the views, flowers etc. Katy looked after me very well and was very kind and informative. Katy's English was excellent as well. My trek was made very special just having a private guide.... thanks to Manu for organising this for me 👍
Our guide, José, was friendly, funny and knowledgeable about everything from history to the wildlife. This was a great trip if you’re short on time. I’d do another trip with them anytime!
José was an amazing tour guide! We had a fantastic experience and his knowledge was incredible. A great way experience the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu
Jimmy was very thoughtful, knowledgeable, considerate and very well organized the entire trip. Everything was very meticulously taken care of, from each ticket, to the seat chosen for the best experience and follow up after the trip. Highly recommend.
Our guide (Jhon) was really friendly and explained a lot about the flora & fauna. He could improve his english, but so could I with my spanish. So everything good! We had enough time to take pictures and the way to the town aguas calientes is beautiful!
Walter CCoto from Conde travel was our guide. The best guide ever. Explaining, interested, patient , able, professional Knows everything about the inca trail and the inca’s and the vegetation of the environment. Superbe. Speaks English very well
We had a great trip on the Inka Trail! It was a bit of a tough start as our tickets were delivered by someone who didn’t really speak English. The itinerary ahead of ticket delivery did give us the main of what we needed so we managed. We were picked up on time and delivered successfully to our guide Walter who was amazing! He was really knowledgeable as well as being super friendly and funny. He let us walk at our own pace and was encouraging as well as pointing out the best spots for photos. Overall we are very happy with the trip and would recommend.
The guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. It was a great experience! Highly recommend them! You won’t be disappointed!
The trekking is really hard the first day but Conde Travel makes it easy, they help you with the bags, and the food was the best part, so delicious, you will never thought that the food in a trekking could be as special. and the path is the most beautiful path every, it was the best option because you don't need to book in advance like the Classic Inka Trail 4 Days.
A worthwhile experience. The very professional guide José accompanied us from the beginning to the end, he has a talent for photos. He was also explaining the history of each place.
The views were amazing, it was all very good, the Guide (Jimmy) very friendly always caring for us and explaining us very well the story, 10/10
We did the 2-day Inca Trail with Jhimmy as Guide, and it was all great. Jhimmy did an amazing job, helped us at all times, explained everything to us and we had a great time. An experience of 10!
The tour of the Inca Trail is full of spectacular scenery and nature. We did the tour with Jose, an excellent Guide, always willing to adapt to the Traveler’s needs and convey respect and admiration for the Inca culture, a fact that made us learn a lot from both the Incas and Peru in general. Highly recommended!!!!!
It has been one of the best experiences of my life. For two days we were able to appreciate the majesty of the Peruvian mountains with a spectacular end at Machu Pichu. Our guide Eduardo has been a 10. Not only because of his professionalism, informing us at all times and being attentive to us at all times, but also because he is a beautiful person, with whom we have shared talks and reflections that have led the path to a higher level of greatness. It is a pleasure to meet people who love their work so much and who are able to transmit that passion to their clients. I hope to go again in the future with family and friends and repeat this magnificent experience again. A big hug from “the Spanish bag boys”
Beautiful views and our guide, Jose, ten!! Although it is a demanding route, it has been an incredible excursion!
We have done several tours through Cusco but this Inca trail has been the best by far!! Incredible views although a little demanding, you have to be in shape!! Our guide José was the icing on the cake, he went the whole way explaining history, fauna, flora and his own experience, really, a 10!!
Everything was great with Jose, from the first moment he picked us up he was telling us everything and helping. Once we started the tour in the jungle, he also told us the story and indicated information about everything we were seeing. We have really enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it to everyone
We chose the two-day tour along the Inka trail to be able to visit Machupicchu in several areas. But, surprisingly, the most incredible thing of all was the journey. I really no longer assume visiting Machupicchu without passing through the road. Our guide Jimmy was attentive to our pace, explanations, information...a well of wisdom, support and heart. A magnificent memory of two days and a friend that we took with us. Better than expected. Highly recommended!!
It was a fantastic experience. Carlos has accompanied us at all times and has given us very interesting explanations of various aspects: history, geography, botany, archaeology. Rating is that he analyzes his work. Arriving at the Machu Picchu site has been spectacular
