We were a group of 20 people who recently booked a tour with Viajes Peru and we had a wonderful experience they took care of A to Z of the logistics , accommodation and other things . Freddy and Piero were wonderful to work with I highly recommend them for tours to Machu Pichu
Amazing Machu Picchu experience! It was a long day, but absolutely worth it to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Jose Dario was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the history of the site. We also highly recommend the Vistadome train; the panoramic windows offer incredible views and make the journey part of the experience. Highly recommend.
We had a private tour which was amazing. The reason that it was private was not so amazing. There were no trips available out of where we were staying and the company graciously agreed to pick us up and take us to local train station to meet with the rest of the group. The driver never showed up. (We waited, called, texted, etc) and finally got to the train but the group had been long gone and the only recourse was to allow us part of the tour with a different guide to Machu Picchu . I believe there was more to the trip in addition to the actual train ride and walk through Machu Picchu, but that is what we got.
Outstanding Peru Experience – Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely amazing experience on our Peru trip, and a big part of that credit goes to the incredible team who took care of us throughout the journey. Ernesto (Driver) was phenomenal—always punctual, professional, and extremely safe. Navigating long routes and challenging terrains with such calm confidence made the travel portions completely stress-free. His friendly attitude and willingness to help at every step truly stood out. Sendro, our tour guide, was exceptional. His deep knowledge of Peruvian history, culture, and local traditions brought every site to life. He was patient, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what he does, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and had the best possible experience. Overall, the tour was very well organized, seamless, and memorable. Thanks to Ernesto and Sendro, this trip exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend this tour company to anyone planning a trip to Peru and would gladly choose them again in the future!
If you want a hassle free and well organized trip to Machu Picchu then use this company!! I cannot say enough good things about William and Juan. Our guides took care of every detail. It allowed us to simply enjoy the journey!
Our major disappointment was the times stated in the description were not remotely accurate. See below for details. I had great communication from the expedition company, via Whats App. They wanted to meet us at the hotel the day prior, to brief us. Since we were arriving that day before and wanted to explore Cusco - this was a little clunky to arrange being back at the hotel at a certain time. The person sent to the hotel was extremely kind - but English was a struggle. We used Google Translate to communicate. He provided us the tickets and times we needed. We were previously asked about T-shirt sizes, which we had provided - but he had not brought those and said we would get them on the tour. The next morning, we were picked up on time. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes - we could not find our tour guide. We were a little nervous - but he did arrive about 10 minutes after the train arrived, when I was getting ready to message the tour operator. He also was very nice. When we got to the location for the buses to take us to Machu Pichu, we had to wait about an hour to preserve the earliest possible bus departure (several buses make the trip.) Our entrance time to MP was 12pm - which meant we would be on an 11:30-ish bus to the top. The big concern was we had to be back to the train station by 2:50pm. That included time to take the bus back down and walk to the train station. Our guide did the best he could to move things along to get us on an earlier bus (than our tickets allowed) and get us into MP earlier than the ticket time. We did get on an earlier bus - but not earlier into MP. We had exactly 2 hours to move around MP - when the tour description states 3 hours!!! We hustled - which is a challenge at that altitude and hiking up flights of steps. We then waited in line to return down to Aguas Calientes. The tour description then says you will have time for lunch there. This is NOT even close to accurate. We had time to grab an empanada and get back to the train station. This was disappointing, as AC is a neat little town. Also, the T-shirts were not there and the guide had to call. The tour company did have those delivered to our hotel with some pens and bottle openers, the next day - and apologized for the confusion. The tickets you will receive for this day trip are extremely specific. With the crowds (off-season when we were there) aren't flexible if you to decided to take a later bus or train. You will be limited to what has been booked. We booked several months out, also. The description on how much time the traveler has to explore should be modified to be accurate for both MP and AC..
We had an amazing tour!! Dario met us the night before at our hotel to explain all trip details. He then met us bright and early the next morning to lead us through every step of our journey! He shared interesting insights, details only an expert would know, and showed us great places to grab unique pictures! From start to finish, he was the best!
Traveling with you was an excellent experience. Thanks to your organization, my vacation was unforgettable. I especially want to give special thanks to Miss Gema, whose preparation, clarity, and enthusiasm in explaining the information made every moment of the trip very enriching and enjoyable.
Great day. Fun and educational. We had a private tour. Highly recommend. Willian was an awesome tour guide. Thank you!!
William was an incredible tour guide! My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast from start to finish. His knowledge, friendliness, and energy made the experience unforgettable. We’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and memorable tour!
William in machupichu was extremely good, I love the way he did his job, I will love the rest of the guides was the same 😃 I love my trip to peru and I will return 🙏 they did a good job and I Recommend you fore sure.
Breathe taking views. The guide, William, did a wonderful job providing us with information and an insight on Incan life.
We booked our trip with Machu Picchu Viajes Peru and it was a great decision! Fredy was fantastic from the beginning — he was very flexible while we were figuring out our priorities, and he designed an itinerary that fit perfectly with our available time. For Machu Picchu, we had a private guide, Dario, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Dario was outstanding — extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and so kind. He patiently explained the fascinating history, answered all our questions, gave us great tips for photos (he's really good at finding the best spots!). Thanks to him, the visit felt very personal and meaningful. Truly an amazing experience!
We did the Huayna Picchu and circuit 2 . Our guide Willian was excellent . It's was only myself and two college level son and daughter . He was very knowledgeable about the Incas. Our hike was 3 hours long and he went at our pace . He met us at our hotel and took us back after an exhausting day. Really do love this company . I did all my tours (2 weeks of tours)through them and highly recommend. They were always prompt for pick ups, sends daily reminders with pick up times . Guides speaks both English and Spanish.
We had an amazing time at our trip. We got lucky and had beautiful weather. The team was available for all our questions. Our tickets and instructions were delivered in person and our pick up was on time. Excellent service.
Incredibly well organized. Someone to take you each step of the journey - from van to train to bus - guide (Dario) was fantastic. Everyone went out of their way to make our visit a success. My husband left his phone on the last van and we had almost instant help with finding it a keeping it safe. Were able to collect it the next morning. Very grateful.
After many pictures and videos on Machu Picchu, we came to learn the history of the place. But the truly mesmerizing awesomeness is the view from Machu Picchu - endless peaks and magical valleys!! Our private tour was worth every penny and dealing with the managers when there was a minor snafu, was easy and they were highly supportive. (not their problem-just our hotel’s issues.) By all means, do the VistaTrain. If you’re from the USA, as we are, this likely your only visit, so do it, ALL. Our guide was well-informed, had an excellent grasp of English and did not rush us as we asked many questions and took hundreds of pictures. We travel full-time, and frankly few tours meet their hype. This one do es it all easily and expertly.
Our experience with Machu Picchu Viajes Peru was incredible! Our guide, Juan Carlos (JC), amazed us with his deep knowledge and passion for the history and culture of each site. From the breathtaking views at Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain to the rich history of Chinchero, Moray’s agricultural terraces, and the Maras salt mines, JC’s insightful commentary made each place come alive. Ollantaytambo and Pisac were equally captivating, thanks to JC’s expertise in Incan history. He wasn’t just our guide — he also acted as our photographer and videographer, even carrying my daughter on his shoulders to help her reach the top of Rainbow Mountain. We also learned from him the tradition of sharing food with the locals during our hike. My kids learned about sharing and appreciating what they have. He truly went above and beyond! Special thanks to Freddy for patiently accommodating my wife’s requests and questions during the booking process. Highly recommend!
We were initially upset we couldn’t swing a longer trip to Machu Picchu, but this one day tour did a great job getting us to see the site in the short amount of time. I am generally an anxious traveler and the group eased my mind entirely with how well planned/organized the day was. They come to your hotel the night before to deliver your tickets for each transfer and answer any questions. While it was a long day of traveling (5am pickup, 730pm drop off) which meant about 3 hours at MP site, I still think it was totally worth it. Plus, the train ride is beautiful so ends up being a fun experience. Our tour guide, William, was great and my husband and I ended up having a private tour just by chance - so clearly the company does not overbook their excursions. Overall, worth the money and travel time!! Highly recommend if you only have one day to spare.
This was the BEST experience ever for my husbands birthday . I will write the pros and cons below. I hope this helps for any individual who wishes to visit especially Americans. Please book with them if you are not fluent in Spanish . You will need a tour guide for sure. PLEASE bring cash with you. PLEASE dress warm . Please bring a thermal travel bottle, put some tea in it. You’ll need it and thank me later. Pros: - Tour guide was phenomenal . I do not remember his name but I will post pictures. Please tip your tour guides . I say this because of how much time they spend supporting us and being away from their families . Remember work in US , is not like work in other countries. He spoke English and Spanish . My husband was born in the Dominican Republic so I asked our tour guide to speak Spanish since it was more comfortable for my husband but when I had questions he responded in English. He made sure we had a place to put our suitcases because we actually flew in from Lima for one day to Cusco and got picked up by taxi to the train . VERY long day . We did Circuit 2 . Circuit 2 is supposedly the best but I think any circuit is fine - This company’s organization from hotel pick up to train drop off, to tour guide, to train , to airport drop off was EXCELLENT . The communication from 3 am until I left Cusco was phenomenal . They got it down packed and made it happen . It was well worth the price. - There is food at Machu picchu . The burger is as actually really good. There is a BEAUTIFUL hotel at the top. We set inside the bar area and bought drinks while waiting on the bus to take us down to the trains . You cannot sit in there without buying something and/or use their restrooms. But the drinks are good. Please just buy a drink and use bathroom here. It’s clean and it’s worth it . - The train was beautiful . I was on the vista dome ❤️. Pictures included. - The locals are very friendly . Bought souvenirs here while waiting for taxi back to Cusco . Cons: - Altitude in Cusco. Please look on Amazon and buy some altitude medicine or portable inhaler before you do this hike if you are not a hiker . I AM NOT a hiker but I was okay . My husband on the other hand , the altitude made him not feel so well . He was happy to get back to Lima although he enjoyed . - Was never refunded my 80$ for the changes to my train . As they indicated they would in writing .
It’s a long day but worth the journey. We booked the private option (just do it) with Vistadome train. The day before, Blossom meet with us at our hotel to provide instructions and expectations for the day and provide us with all of our necessary tickets. Tour day, We were picked up from or hotel on time by our driver Ernesto. He provided the transportation between the Hotel and Olytamtambo. From there, we took the train to Aguas Calientes and met our guide for Machu Pichu. Juan Carlos was an excellent guide and has deep knowledge regarding Machu Pichu, Inca Culture, and Puruvian history. Our package included Circuit 2 which gives you some of the best viewpoints of the site. You will need to have a moderate level of physical fitness due to the altitude, steps, and uneven surfaces. Juan Carlos was great at keeping a good pace and providing rest stops. You will have around 2 1/2 hours once inside. If you really want to learn about the culture this is the tour for you.
Was leaving Peru after working in Lima for almost 2 years. Before I left, I really had to go and see MP. I was recommended this company by a friend. From the moment I arrived at Cusco airport (Saturday evening) to the moment I left (Tuesday afternoon) they organised absolutely everything. Airport pick-ups, buses, trains, MP tickets all organised with the minimum of fuss. The day trip from Cusco is a long one, but certainly worth it. I left my hotel at 0515 and got back at 2130. For the actual tour of MP, this lasted about 3 hours. I was very lucky to get a one-to-one guide. My guide (William) was excellent; very knowledgable and friendly. All the transports, the actual tickets for MP and the tour guide. All for just $350, great value for money and I have no worries about 100% recommending them for your trip.
The adventure was great. Our guide Juan Carlos was very kind and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend. The transfers were excellent and easy. The overall service was amazing. A must do!
The service was amazing. We were picked up directly from our Airbnb in the morning in Cusco, then taken to the train station. Our guide Juan Carlos met us in Machu Picchu and was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and informative. We had such a great day!
Excellent day trip from Cusco. Everything was very professional from the initial booking process to he day of the trip. Great comms via WhatsApp kept you confident you were with a reputable tour company. Great briefing the night before at our hotel meant there were no surprises. Pick up from hotel on time and taken to railways station. Vistadome train experience great and worth the money. Met at the station in Aqua Calientes by rep who took us to and got us on the bus to Machu Picchu. Met off the bus by William our guide. Will8am was simply magnificent. No rush, lots of info, more if you asked and a great one to one experience. Great knowledge of the site and showed us all the best bits. Never felt rushed. Guide got us back on the bus and ensured we were happy on how to get the train in a couple of hours. Allowed us time for lunch and a beer! Trip back on the vistadome again. This time it was dark soon so not much chance of a view. On arrival at Poro station there was no driver for us. Quick WhatsApp and immediate response - driver just around the corner! Short drive back to Cusco. Overall a fab day out. The main thing for me when booking and immediately prior to the trip was the communication with the company which instilled full confidence. A little more expensive than others but well worth it..
Be patient with the weather if you go during rainy season. Views come and go depending on the weather. We didn't get the classic shot everyone wants, but we're very happy with what we were able to see, learn and capture.
Our Machu Picchu day trip from Cusco was nothing short of excellent. The agency organized every detail meticulously, making the entire experience smooth and hassle-free. Opting for the Vistadome train was definitely worth the extra cost, as it added a unique scenic touch to the journey. Once at Machu Picchu, we had a private tour with our guide, William, who was incredible. His polite demeanor and deep knowledge of the site’s history enriched our visit immensely. He explained the historical significance beautifully, making the experience truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!
this was the absolute perfect day tour from cusco. please extend my greatest appreciation to William our guide for the day, he was so knowledgeable! william was so kind and patient and took probably 100 fantastic photos of us. this was a day to remember and a highlight of our trip to Peru. having your company coordinate everything made it so much easier and was such a relief.

Booked a private excursion. On the way home the train ride was miserable it stopped to many times. The attendants performed a fashion show the products they were trying g to sell on the train. The visa-dome train was ok. It was not worth the extra money. Our guide was timely. We did the circuit 2 which was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable. He spent extra time with us. We did have to wait over an hours to get back on the bus to go down the mountain. There could be areas to sit along. FYI bring money for the bathrooms.
I appreciated the personalized attention provided in crafting our Machu Picchu adventure! Communication was 10/10 starting from the moment we booked through to the day we went. Everything was very organized and clear and we loved our tour guide!! Highly highly recommended booking with this operator as they were able to customize our trip in ways that other companies we consulted were not! Machu Picchu was amazing and would highly recommend going!
A great tour. Very well organised from start to finish. The tour guide at Machu Picchu was fantastic also. The train was very comfortable and the bus to the train was very nice also.
Wow this tour is so organized from start to finish. The night before they brought the tickets and talked about how everything would go. Our guide Willian was in Aguas Calientes at the train station waiting for us. What an extraordinary day and what a view. Willian was very well prepared with photos and knowledge of local history. I definitely recommend this tour, we left at 7am and returned at 9pm and it wasn't as tiring as they say. We had two free hours in Aguas Calientes to have dinner and enjoy the view.

We had such a great time!! Highly recommend!! We unfortunately missed our train to Machu Picchu. When we contacted the company they helped us to get a cheap hotel and arranged a new train for us. Saul, our Machu Picchu tour guide, was amazing! At the end of the day, he and their driver even took my friend and I to the airport after picking our stuff up with us at the hotel. Thanks for a great experience!
We decided to travel temporarily. Our guide:Fredy was very quick and professional to help us buy tickets and arrange the itinerary. If you need to customize the itinerary, you must find them. This tour was an unforgettable experience that will last the rest of our lives. The Machu Picchu sanctuary deserves all the accolades we hear about. The history of it and the Inca, as told from the perspective of our Inca guide is profoundly fascinating and simply a celebration of human achievement regardless of the stresses American Indigenous cultures endure despite the oppression and advanced technology of the colonial powers. The fact that this sanctuary exists irrespective of the best efforts of colonial Spaniards to destroy all Inca construction and culture will resonate with me forever.
We were stuck without a way to get to Machu Picchu when our initial plans fell through. We contacted Machu Picchu Viajes through Viator to see if we could book a last minute tour. They contacted us promptly through WhatsApp to let us know that they did not have any availabilities left. Blossom however, was absolutely amazing and came up with a customized itinerary for us. This itinerary allowed us to get tickets for Machu Picchu in-person. Blossom, William, and the rest of the team made sure we were taken care of each step of the way. They organized all our transportation and made sure we were at the right place at the right time. We ended up with the coveted Circuit 2 tickets and was able to enter Machu Picchu at the most ideal time. We did not have to worry about a single thing and had time to enjoy ourselves. Their efficiency and care really made our trip memorable! Thanks again! PS. If you get William as your tour guide in Machu Picchu, he will go above and beyond to get you the perfect shot!
Guide: Alfredo Awsomr trip trough the ruins, the agency is very careful and respectful of your time. Alfredo guided us through the ruins with stories and explanations of the Inca culture, very professional.
The organizers really take care of every step you take at this journey and are in touch with you 24/7. Well done, guys! Thank you!
Very good experience. The staff involved in transport were very good as well as the guide at the site.
William was an amazing guide who was very informative, patient and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to make our excursion memorable. Thanks William!
Very nice day trip. Our guide William was amazing and really took his time to explain things and allowed us to do things at our pace. Everything was smooth. Will highly recommmend
We had done all of our planning for our trip to Perú but we somehow forgot to book a Machu Picchu tour. We tried tons of places and they were all booked for the days we were going to be in Cusco. Finally we found Machu Picchu Viajes Perú!! They responded within an hour of receiving our requested days and not several days like other tour agencies. AND THEY HAD ROOM! We met with Fredy the night before and he was prompt and very thorough with telling us about everything that would transpire the next day. We were picked up by Roger who was also on time! We picked the Vistadome Train which I would definitely recommend. So much more fun to see the huge mountains! Our tour guide Sandro Ismael was AWESOME! He was patient with our kids and did such a great job at explaining the history of Machu Picchu to us and them. He was also an excellent photographer 10/10. This company is AWESOME!
Fantastic experience — Domingo was incredible, such a great tour guide! Highly recommend for folks visiting Machu Picchu!
Both Sandro and Benji were amazing! We had our service dog with us and they took care of him all day as well the Machu pichu tour was unforgettable The way Sandro explained the history to us was so interesting as if he was telling us a story vs just facts I can’t think of a better experience Thank you so much!!
We are very pleased with the outstanding customer service we received from Machu Picchu Viajes Peru. We did a 5 days 4 nights : Cusco City Tour, Machu Picchu The Inca City and the Mountain of 7 Colors. Everything was very well organized for us. They were very punctual. Everyone was polite and friendly. Excellent tour guides ( English), Careful and efficient drivers. Our hotel rooms were nice and clean. We are very satisfied and highly recommend to anyone. Thank you!!
Wow!!! We had the absolute best day ever with Domingo! He came to our hotel the day before our experience to meet us and give us our train tickets and explain what the day would look like. He even walked us to the Plaza after where we were going for dinner which was so kind and above and beyond. From the start everything was just so perfect and well organized. Communication from the time of booking all the way through the experience was perfect. The day went off without a hitch. Domingo was so patient with us as relatively novice hikers and never made us feel bad about our slow pace. He had SO much extensive knowledge about Machu Picchus history and it added a whole new dimension to the experience. He shared stories and his own personal background and insights into Incan culture and the history of MP which was SO interesting. Additionally he took amazing photos. He is an expert photographer. We left with amazing photos and lots of knowledge about the area as he is truly an expert on all things Machu Picchu, from the best sites to the history. We left with a strong appreciation of the spiritual significance of the area and historical importance (as well as amazing photos taken by Domingo, the best guide and photographer). The biggest thanks to Domingo for a once in a lifetime experience, our tour guide and new friend!
Belisario gave us a great tour of Machu Picchu. His knowledge of Inka history added a lot of depth to our trip. He led us on a challenging trek up Huayna Pichu that ended with awesome views. And he made sure we got great pictures. We had a great day.
The views are amazing. One of the best wonders. Must do. Our guide was amazing and was there for us from day 1 till the last minute. He explained everything to us and took absolutely amazing photos. Thanks so much Belisario!
