If you are visiting Cusco, this is by far an amazing property. The service is fantastic, and the grounds are unique. JW always does a good job of making you feel comfortable. What’s impressive is the hotel brings oxygen to your room if you need it. I was sick for maybe 2 straight days with altitude sickness. The breakfast was outstanding, especially the juices and custom order omelette station. If you stay here you wont regret it.

We had a wonderful stay at JW Marriott El Convento Cusco. The hotel is absolutely stunning, set within a beautifully restored historic convent full of character and history. We loved that the hotel offers complimentary tours of the property, which gave us a fascinating insight into the building’s past. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because of its altitude support, and it exceeded our expectations. The oxygen enriched guest rooms genuinely helped us acclimatise, and the hotel also provides complimentary coca tea, muña tea, and other thoughtful amenities to help guests adjust to the elevation. The rooms were clean, beautiful and quiet - making for comfortable rest every night for us. During our stay, my husband became quite unwell from the altitude. The reception team immediately arranged an oxygen tank for our room, and their kindness, efficiency, and genuine care made a stressful situation so much easier. We were incredibly grateful for their help. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming, and professional, making us feel well looked after throughout our stay. If you’re visiting Cusco, especially if you’re concerned about the altitude, I highly recommend JW Marriott El Convento. The beautiful historic setting, exceptional hospitality, and thoughtful altitude support made all the difference to our experience. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us.

The JW Marriott El Convento Cusco is one of the finest Marriott properties we have experienced. As Marriott Bonvoy members for nearly 10 years, including more than four years as Platinum members, we can confidently say this stay exceeded every expectation. The service was truly exceptional and set this hotel apart from almost every other property we’ve visited. Every staff member was consistently warm, welcoming, and eager to help. What impressed us most was the personal touch—they made an effort to remember our names, including our daughter’s, which made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay. One of the highlights for our daughter was meeting the resident baby alpaca, an experience she’ll never forget. The dining was outstanding. The restaurant offered delicious, reasonably priced meals, and the breakfast was among the best we’ve ever experienced at any Marriott. The buffet featured an incredible selection of high-quality dishes, including many local Peruvian specialties, making breakfast an experience in itself. Included amenities such as the spa discount, Pisco sour for 2 each night, coca tea (and several other options) regularly available, and bottled water on request are appreciated. The boxed breakfast was helpful for the very early tour times in Cusco. This hotel sets the standard for what a luxury Marriott property should be. From the beautifully preserved historic convent to the exceptional hospitality, every detail exceeded our expectations. We especially appreciated that our Platinum Elite status was recognized in a meaningful way. Rather than simply thanking us for our loyalty, the staff made us feel genuinely appreciated throughout our stay. We only wish more Marriott properties around the world would follow the example set by the Peruvian hotels in delivering such outstanding hospitality, comfort, and dining. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and will absolutely return the next time we’re in Cusco. This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip and is a property we would recommend without hesitation.

I absolutely loved my stay at the JW Marriott. The staff were both professional and friendly, and we truly enjoyed every interaction we had with them. The rooms were clean and clearly held to high standards. The food was delicious, and I appreciated that all of the water used in food preparation was filtered. Staying hydrated was easy as well, since the hotel provided filtered water dispensers in the hallways, making it convenient to refill my water bottle at any time. It was also located in the heart of Cusco so it was easy to get places. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
