Small luxury hotel with the most helpful, attentive staff. We had a comfortable junior suite with its own patio where we enjoyed tea in the morning in peace. The hotel is small, which means it has a gym and a very good spa, but not real public shared rooms or major facilities, which we didn't miss. The architecture is beautiful. Wife had massage which she loved. The restaurant is really very good and sitting overlooking the lawn and the convent in the evening under stars lit by night lights, was wonderful. That night a two piece smooth jazz duo played Stan Getz and such, and it was just lovely. The service from the restaurant was top notch, no Americans or Europeans at all, to my disgarce I used a translation app. But one night they was a fellow who spoke English and the second night they called the conceirge, without being asked, who came over to check we had everything. Even the chap who parked our car was super helpful, really can't say enough about the staff. Downside, just 1. It backs onto a nighclub and at 2 am until 4 am on a Saturday night we used the airconditioning as white noise to mask the very loud noise (can't call that racket music) Cuernavaca is good for a day trip, Grutas de Cacahuamilpa are an hour away, so two days 'sightseeing' , one day pool. Don't think you'll get out cheaply, you won't. Still less expebsive than it would be in CA or NY or SC or even Italy or France, but only just.
Great stay! Excellent staff, beautiful property and wonderful vibes. We will certainly be back next time in Cuernavaca.
Kinda very disappointed about the Spa services. I expected good expertise in exchange for such high costs. The location looks like it needs some updates and some love. As for the rooms the tv service has bad reception and rooms need some good detailed oriented supervision. The restaurant is great, the best of this place.
A HOME AWAY FROM HOME. Gorgeous little hotel, boutique hotel. Everyone from the valet, to reception, to the pool area...everyone makes you feel so welcome, you don't want to leave. The room was very modern, comfortable, nice to be inside. Very well kept grounds and rooms. The service at the pool area was superb. The pool a bit small, but for few rooms, nothing bigger is really needed. Food was great, a bit high in price, but since you are in the pool or in your room, the comfortable thing is to order in. The restaurant id delicious. And the spa amazing!! (ask for Cynthia, whom has hands of an angel...amazing massage! Also Judith is excellent in all spa treatments, they both make you feel lost in space and time)
