Rethymno Old Town Guided Segway Tour

Excellent experience. Easy to learn how to ride the Segway, anyone can master it in a few minutes. We saw many landmarks that it would have taken many hours of walking to see. Also the nooks and crannies of old town that we would not have found on our own. Our guide Iannis was a wonderful host.

This was way more than expected! Yiannis was chatty, full of information & pride about his home. We had never used Segways & felt quite comfortable with his instructions & coaching. We saw so much & we’re heading back to town tomorrow to see more details about some of the places we zipped by. Thanks !

What an incredible tour. Our guide was so careful with our children and put safety first. We loved all the stops and the scenic views at the Castle and the Marina. It was truly a memorable day and the kids loved every minute of it!

Our group of 4 senior adults was a little nervous about trying a Segway tour. Janis, our excellent tour guide, immediately calmed our fears, gave us solid training and plenty of practice. It was easy to use and very enjoyable. What a delightful ride through the harbor area and old town. We really appreciated the history and cultural updates we regularly received. Many photo opportunities along the ride as well. Take this tour - you won’t regret it!

Excellent tour of the old town. The segway took a little time to get used too but was really fun, the stop off points varied and interesting.

We had a great time! We were able to cover so much more of the city than we would have had we only been on foot. We loved hearing Giannis tell us about all the local points of interest and the history of Rethymnos as we stopped at various places along the way. He made sure we were safe the whole time and we never felt uncomfortable at all. We highly recommend this to anyone looking to have some fun while seeing the city!

As a father of a family of four with 8-year-old kids, I can highly recommend the Segway Golden Tour in Rethymno! It’s a fun and safe way to see the city’s highlights in just three hours. Our kids loved riding with us, and the guide made everything easy and enjoyable. Gliding along the marina, Venetian harbor, and old town streets while seeing sights like Fortezza Castle and Arkadiou Street was exciting and memorable. The short stop for a refreshing drink gave us a nice family break. This tour is perfect for families who want a fast-paced, fun, and cultural way to explore Rethymno!

It’s better than 5. Yanis was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, informative and intelligent. He was passionate about the area and showed us the hidden gems of this wonderful place. I highly recommend going on this tour. It was certainly fun and memorable. He’s also used our phones to take photos and video of us during the excursion. Please do yourself a favor and don’t miss out on this tour while you are in Rethymno.

Yannos was an excellent and fun guide who took us safely on our Segway trip. It is a great way to see the town and see the hidden and beautiful streets.

Our tour guide, Giannis, was excellent. He made us feel at ease during the initial training. During the tour he had some excellent knowledge of the area and lots of fun facts. The ride around the old town was a lot of fun - ducking and diving the small cobbled streets! I’d recommend this tour. Me and my partner had lots of fun on this tour. Thank you Giannis.

We took the 90 min tour on a whim as our planned activity had been cancelled due to bad weather, and we're really glad we did. Iannis was an excellent guide, and we had him all to ourselves so we peppered him with questions all the way and he answered every one. The area is beautiful, a mix of modern restaurants & shops, narrow old streets, and historical buildings. Iannis stopped at all the important and notable sites, giving us information and recommendations about what to visit for longer. The Segways are well maintained and easy to use. I've used one many times but my husband is new to them and got the hang of it easily. Big thanks to Iannis for making it a day to remember!

This Segway tour was a fantastic experience! The guide was friendly, explained everything very well, and was also very knowledgeable, providing great insights into Rethymno’s history. Great tour! We had a large group of age 12 all the way to 78. Everyone had a great time. Ioanna was the best guide and so sweet and patient with all of us while we were learning to ride the Segway.

A really nice trip in the mountains. Easy to do with the e-bikes. Nice scenes and culture with good info but not too much. I would advise to anyone going to Retynhmo and surroundings.

This was a fantastic Segway tour of the Old Town. Our guide, Theo, looked after us magnificently - he kept a great pace, was friendly and informative. Our tour included a taste of some fantastic local chocolate and a refreshing drink in a square near city hall. Thoroughly recommend! It was well worth the 90 min bus ride from Heraklion (where we were staying) but if you can, buy your bus tickets ahead of time (the buses (coaches) fill up.

Really enjoyed our tour with Theo, he was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and definitely has a passion to share the beauty of this lovely city. We were limited for time and wanted to see Rethymno on our drive from Heraklion to Chania, this was the best way to pack in so much in a short time 🤗

This segway tour through the city of Rethymno was a lot of fun! Our tourguide Theo could tell us with a lot of passion about the history and the buildings of the city. He could tell us a lot of facts, which was very interesting. This tour gives you a different perspective of the whole city. You went trough crowded places in the old town of Rethymno, but also in places that are unnoticed. We think this tour is also very fun and interesting for young adults and friendgroups.

Fantastic tour with Giannis, we saw Rethymno from a different perspective. You can also rent electric scooters and bicycles.I highly recommend it

Such a fun activity to do with a 13 year old. He loved it for the fun vehicle and I loved being able to go through such a beautiful location. Nanetta was a great guide and we really enjoyed our day!

Really enjoyable way to see Rethimno. Yanis was an excellent guide enthusiastically giving details (both historic and current) of the town. He had a very pleasant manner and was clearly genuinely keen to engage with clients. The layout of the town lends itself to journeying through it by Segway and most of the route avoided the busy traffic. Would really recommend this trip.

A brilliant 2 hour Segway tour was had by a group of over 60’s! The two instructors were very kind and extremely patient as they helped us get familiar with the Segways before taking us along the beautiful beach promenade and then onto the old town of Rethymno. Our guide was very informative about the local history and passed on lots of fun and interesting facts about the local area and Island of Crete. We saw a great deal more than had we been walking on foot and it really was worth every euro! Thorough enjoyable experience with good natured guide and great friends!

I have been on a number of Segway tours around Europe and this trip exceeded my expectations way beyond those experiences. I would go as far to say it was exceptional. I took the 3 hour tour myself and an excellent guide who's knowledge of the town was extensive. We went around the town through pedestrian areas which made it quite unique and stopping at buildings with a history of each one. Through the peaceful park and up to the castle. We stopped midway to enjoy a short break over a cool beer at a small taverna where my knowledgible guide gave me a brief hisory of the Greek gods. This was a wonderful experience great value for money and would thoroughly recommend it.

We had a blast. It is a good way to see old town because you can't cover that much area by walking. Our tour guide Ninette (sp?) was very helpful and kind. The owner Giannis is super nice and informative. The whole family loved it.

Disappointing. The Segwaying was fun, sadly however, our guide knew very little about Rethymno or its history. Most of the information was “this is the harbour ... This is the park ... There are lots of trees, and the statues are of important people.” Other similar tours we have been on have been informative. We’d hoped to learn more about the town’s rich history and inhabitants but unfortunately finished feeling underwhelmed.

Giannis was a fabulous tour guide who took all 7 of us around the city on segways. It was the first day of our holiday and a great way to get our bearings and discover the old city. This excursion is an absolute crowd pleaser given our ages - 17, 17, 20 and 5 x 50 year olds, everyone enjoyed it. Thank you so much for such a memorable start to our holidays.

Our family had such a fun time on this tour! We had an afternoon to see Rethymno and this was such a fun way to do it for both our kids (9,11,13) and adults. We each got a mini Segway lesson before the tour and we all felt super comfortable. We learned a lot about the history of Rethymno and saw everything!This was one of the highlights of our vacation for sure and we highly recommend it!

We tried Segway for the first time and had a great time with Nick our guide. After a short introduction - despite being a bit scared - we really mastered th Segway easily ! Thanks to the great patience of Nick and Giannis ... but really easy to use once you get confident with the Segway. Nick showed us the old town of Rethymo with a great sense of humor and his favorite golden spots. Ideal to take pictures, especially during sunsets. We explored several historical sites as well as the little streets of the old town with recommendations for eating and several shops.where you can buy local stuff. We really enjoyed the three hours tour with lots of interesting historical as well as local information. Great to start your stay in Rethymno with some great tips where to go and what to explore. Absolutely recommendable and Nick our guide as well as Giannis - the owner - are great guys and lots of fun ! Not to miss !

First things first it was an amazing opportunity for me to explore Rethymno like this. I did the tour on my first night and i learned so many things about the city and the culture of Greece that I was able to continue my holidays with a vibe of greek hospitality and good knowledge of the city. The guide was very helpful and such a great company in this tour. I'm for sure visiting Crete again and I advice everyone who wants to learn quickly about Rethymno to try this Segway tour for sure. It was the first time I tried this kind of a tour, and my first time on a segway! I was very sceptical at first, but after the tour I can definitely say that it was one of the best experiences you can try, while visiting Rethymno! All personel was extremely helpful and friendly!! We did a Rethymno by night tour. It was a very nice experience with a lot of informations about the old city and things to fo. The guide was amazing, very friendly and careful. It’s a experience you have to take in the first day of your holiday

We had a really wonderful time with Giannis in the 2 hour segway tour. He and his staff were very accommodating, as we walked in one afternoon and they were able to fit us in for a tour a few hours later. Segway is a such a great way to sight-see, as you are able to cover a lot of ground (not to mention how fun it is). Giannis is warm and welcoming, and is a great story-teller as he shares about the history of the city and his background. We highly recommend going on this tour, we had such a blast and would do it again if we find ourselves back in Rethymno!

A week ago me and my family had gone on holidays in Rethymno. We were seeking for activities that we could do all together, so we visited "Best Rides" and mr Giannis welcomed us with joy! We rented four city bikes for three days. We had rides in town and it was very fun! Furthermore, mr.Giannis guided us in old town, cafeterias and attractions. I fully recommend it, the service is amazing!
