SeasbyBus, Best tour! A must! Tour was catered to us in every detail. From the moment they pick you up, you are greeted with water, juice, wine. Great explanation of every stop. 8 hour day trip and time flew. It was raining and he was so kind to take off his rain jacket to give it to me. Went to an amazing cave but due to rain it was very muddy, they were so detailed that they even had wipes for our shoes. Constantly asking if we are good and if we needed anything. Tour stops were customized to what we wanted to see and do. Every stop was memorable. I will definitely look for this company for future travels.

We booked two private tours with SeaByBus during our family holiday in Crete and couldn't have been happier! We wanted to see quite a lot of Crete's history and archaeology, but travelling with two children (aged 3 and 8), we also needed extra time and, above all, flexibility. SeaByBus turned out to be absolutely perfect for us. Our first tour took us to Knossos, the Archaeological Museum in Heraklion and Heraklion itself. The second was a customised trip to Agia Triada and Gouverneto monasteries, with a walk towards Katholiko, followed by Ancient Aptera. It was on the second trip that SeaByBus really showed how good they are. They had been following the weather forecast and proactively suggested moving our tour from Thursday to Tuesday, when the weather was still much better. They also changed the order of the monasteries so we could attempt the walk from Gouverneto towards Katholiko in the cooler morning hours. When we arrived at Ancient Aptera, we unfortunately found it closed. Rather than simply moving on, our guide drove us around the site so we could see as much as possible through the fence, including the impressive Roman cisterns. He also knew where the ancient theatre was, so we walked along the perimeter fence to try to get a glimpse of it. Unfortunately, a small wooded area blocked the view, but I spotted the remains of a Roman villa and the boys discovered two dead frogs instead! And because our older son is fascinated by old fortifications, we also went up to the Ottoman fortress and enjoyed the views over Souda Bay. Since Aptera was closed, we had hoped to visit a restaurant serving traditional Cretan specialities and fire-grilled meat instead. Unfortunately, it didn't open until 17:00. So our guide came up with another alternative: a lovely, relaxed stop at Lake Kournas, which both boys thoroughly enjoyed. A perfect Plan C when neither Plan A nor Plan B worked out! They also included a stop at the Venizelos Tombs on the way to the monasteries, simply because we were passing by. The views over Chania were beautiful, and it was a lovely little extra. Throughout both trips, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and experienced, and there was always time for a break when the children needed one. Small touches such as fruit juice and doughnuts in the snack boxes for the boys were much appreciated. What impressed us most was that they really understood what we wanted from our holiday and adapted the tours accordingly, without making us feel rushed or that we were causing any inconvenience. We can wholeheartedly recommend SeaByBus, especially to families who want to explore Crete beyond the beaches but need a bit of flexibility. We would definitely book with them again!

Because the cruise ship changed its port of call at the last minute, we had to scramble to book a customized itinerary with a car charter company. They sent us a standard itinerary beforehand, but the weather this past week has been pretty unstable. After talking it over with them, both the driver and customer service were wonderful, and they even said they'd issue a refund if the weather turned genuinely bad. We decided to go ahead as planned, asking the driver to steer clear of any hazardous areas. Here is what we ended up doing: 1. Visited a monastery, followed by a high viewpoint with a gorgeous panorama of the harbor. 2. Saw the oldest olive trees 3. had lunch at a restaurant on a mountain that looked very popular. 4. Got dropped back off in the Old Port area. We had a really wonderful time with our driver, Thanos.

Our driver Thanos was wonderfully friendly and bonded with the toddler in our group (which we really appreciated). He made sure that the tour was comfortable and fun. This was the second time in two years that we booked a tour with Christine and Crete Seabus Tours, and it was even better than the first time! Once again, our tour coordinator (Christine) and driver (Thanos this time) were both very friendly and professional. We originally booked for six people, and due to exhaustion from earlier days elsewhere, only our two kids ended up going. Our kids are 18 and 24, but we were still worried about them going off on a tour without us in a foreign island, but Christine updated us via text the entire tour, giving us exact locations and time estimates for each place they were at! We were so reassured! They were driven to every place they requested, plus other places Thanos recommended, and given ample time at each place. The snacks and drinks were greatly enjoyed, and the beach mats and umbrellas were easy and useful! The thank you gift was also wonderful. Exceptional experience! Overall, I cannot recommend this company enough! I hope to return to Crete, and book this tour again for a third time in the future!

From the initial booking to their follow up after the tour, SeaByBus Crete was an absolutely wonderful company to work with! I received a WhatsApp message from Christine shortly after booking and she crafted a great itinerary for my husband, our 8-year old son, and me. The day before the tour and the morning of, we received additional helpful details from her. Our driver Thanos was absolutely wonderful too. He explained a lot of things (even though we didn’t book a separate tour guide) and made the day easy going and fun. At the beach stop, he provided beach mats, umbrellas, and goggles for our son which he LOVED. Beautiful day all the way around. Our son said it was his favorite thing we’ve did on our cruise!

We were unexpectedly on Crete for a day when our cruise ship changed ports and are so glad we ended up there. Christine and Thanos gave us a perfect day exploring Elafonissi Beach, visiting local olive grove to see and learn about their local way of life, and shopping through their charming Old Town. Our entire family (2 adults, 2 teenagers and 1 child) enjoyed the snack boxes they provided at the beach of local specialties - one of the ways Christine and Thanos made us feel welcome and well cared for. We hope to visit Crete again one day. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone thinking about it!

A truly amazing experience. Christine and Thanos drove us through the mountains,to Elfaniso Beach and educated us the entire time in Crete and its traditions, food, culture, …so much! We stopped at a local vendor for olive oil, honey, and some other treats! Packed us a fantastic lunch and beach mat, towels, games and umbrellas for the beach. They then continued the tour through the town as well! Highly recommend!!

This is our third year using Sea By Bus. Thanos and Christine are amazing! Thanos showed up on time in a clean van that included Wi-Fi. Thanos is fantastic with the historical information to give the sites perspective. The tour started by visiting the beautiful Kalathas beach. From there we proceeded to Stavros beach where the movie “Zorba the Greek” was filmed. From there we visited Agia Triada monastery. Very peaceful and beautiful place. Next was seitan Limania beach. Unbelievable view and beach! The last site on the tour was Eftherios Venizelos tomb. Great view of Chania from here. We concluded the tour with a drink of raki at our drop off point. We will use Sea by Bus next year as well!!!

We had a fabulous day with our family in Chania thanks to Kostas and SeaByBus. We are a family of 11, including 2 eight month old babies so arranging tours on our European cruise can tend to be challenging, but Christine made it effortless to book and plan for us. We spent a couple of hours at the beach and then went into town and did a nice walk and a little shopping. It was the perfect day. Reasonable pricing and very quick with responses too. I highly recommend this adventure if you’re traveling with a group.

We had the best day on our private bus with Sea by Bus. Christine was amazing- she answered my many questions and recommended a tour that took us to and through some small villages in the White Mountains, to the top of the Samaria Gorge, then to the Botanical Gardens of Crete where we walked the short route and had lunch. Our driver, Thanos, was phenomenal. Made recommendations, took photos, came with soft drinks, water, and beer on board and gave us a ton of interesting information throughout the drive. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to hire a driver for the day!

Cannot recommend this tour enough! We had our own private 12-person van and went to visit Elafonisi and the Chania harbor. Christine and Thanos were incredible! Everything was seamless from start to finish. Pick up was easy off of our boat, comfortable van, incredible lunch boxes and everything we needed for the beach was included!!! And after our time at the beach, we walked up the hill and they were waiting right there for us. The tour/walk through Chania was excellent and made it back in plenty of time for our cruise departure. This was an absolute highlight of our 12 day Mediterranean cruise!! Christine and Thanos were amazing! Great communication! We got a history lesson of Chania and got to see some of the beautiful beaches. They picked us up and dropped off on time! They provided lunch, umbrellas, beach mats and googles! They even sent us off with a gift! Highly recommend this tour!

Everything from ordering, planning, payment and execution went perfect and on schedule. Very well-organized and friendly staff. Our driver Thanos was super friendly and very helpful in every aspect of our trip. We live in Denmark but had planned to baptize our son in a village near Iraklio, where we have family and friends, but stayed near Xania as it is generally better for children. With 6 adults and two children in our travel party and a distance of more than 150km through the mountains, this did however pose a challenge, but SeaByBus turned out to be the perfect solution for a pleasant family trip. Baby seat, refreshments, food, air condition, breaks to stretch our legs, etc were all taken care of. We had an amazing day in large thanks to the great service provided by SeaByBus, who was on the spot at the agreed times throughout the whole day. Planning a family event from 2500km away can be challenging, so we are all very happy with how smooth everything went on the big day. The team are absolutely amazing, so knowledgeable and friendly! The minoan history tour is incredible i really enjoyed the Museum and Knossos palace - the artifacts are incredibly well preserved.

We had such a wonderful trip to Knossos that we hired SeaByBus the next day for a personalized visit to an olive oil mill and winery. Christina made all of the arrangements on short notice, and Thanos escorted us on a perfect half day in the country. (Christina even remembered the cookies we liked and had Thanos bring us a box for this excursion.)

On the day of the Tour, met by the Guide outside the cruise terminal with good signage, received a warm welcome and travelled in a luxurious vehicle. Itineray discussed as previously agreed. We enjoyed our tour with Armin and our bus driver was amazing. Elafonsis beach was beautiful but a bit windy for the umbrellas. Crete was so quaint, lots of stores. Awesome day.

Hi guys we just had a great day out with Seabybus Tours on Crete, out of Chania. Our driver Thanos picked 10 of us up in an air conditioned 20 seat bus, and drove us to Elafonisi Beach. We stopped on the way to sample some honey, raki, beautiful olive oils and marmalade. Seabybus supplied a delightful lunch, in a cooler bag with drinks ( beer, water or soft drinks) and an umbrella and towel mats. The beach was busy, but spectacular. Beautiful day in Crete! Thanasis was our driver for our group of 18 . He was on time at the pick up location in an air conditioned van . He provided drinks and snacks for us . We took pictures in a place with beautiful views . Then we went to zorbah beach which had chairs and food options at a great price and then to the Venetian old harbor which was awesome . Would have liked to stay more time at the beach . Christine was most helpful putting everything together and replied to all my emails and questions . We had a fantastic experience with Sea by Bus on our tour to Elafonisi Beach and the Venetian Harbour in Chania. Christine at Sea by Bus organized everything for us so efficiently. Excellent Service. Christine will plan your excursion based on your request. Our private van tour started by picking us up from the cruise ship port on time and took us to an amazing beach. They provided sun umbrellas, matt’s and local pastries and drinks !!!! Our driver was the best!!! Great communication and great service . After the beach he took us to Oldtown Harbor and gave restaurant suggestions.
