My wife, friends and I had a wonderful day long trip Nikos to the Palace. He was very helpful, informative, delightful and we made many stops along the way. He knows where the good coffee, the clean bathrooms, the cold water is and has a very impressive knowledge Of Greek history. We even tested his knowledge after taking a tour with another guide and he answered every question correctly. I would highly recommend Nikos for your tour guide in Greece If you want to learn about the mythology, Geography and wonderful people of Crete. We would definitely use him again and invite him over for dinner. The Speaker family

Akrivi was a fantastic guide, she was very knowledgeable, and she was able to give us so much interesting backgound information. She was also very considerate to find us the best shady spots from the heat and the best photo spots. Thank you Akrivi!
Our tour guide, Katerina, was one of the archeologists working on the continued excavation and interpretation of Knossos Labyrinth. She had expert knowledge regarding the history of the Labyrinth and customs of the Minoan Culture. She was able to present the information in a snapshot of what the culture would have looked like in its peak, and really brought the ruins to life. I would strongly recommend the tour to anyone planning to visit The Knossos Labyrith ruins, otherwise, most of what makes the ruins special will be lost on you.
Well coordinated, tour guide was very knowledgeable and the weather was great!
I thought the tour was good. The guide was knowledgeable. Our tour was a bit abridged because the Greek Minister of Culture was visiting the knossos palace at same time we were there. If you go, make sure you put lots of sunblock on, carry a parasol/umbrella. Very few shady spots on the tour. The headsets were a big plus.
Well organised, great guide made it all very informative & brought it to life.
Our guide gave us incredibly interesting information, from the first discovery at Knossos and how archaeologists now consider truth within the myths. One of the best tours we’ve ever had.
The tour of the Knossos palace was wonderful. We were lucky to be the only ones on the tour so it was a private tour. The guide was very accommodating with my walking issues. And we were able to stay longer so my nephew was able to explore more. Riding the city bus was great, able to see local life. Going to Greece in January has been the best choice, no crowds and the weather is perfect. 60 degrees F. For us is warm. We came from 10 degrees F.
Detailed tour of castle. Guide was knowledgeable but coughed into microphone quite often and would not cover the microphone as suggested- not polite. Booked this tour on Saturday for Sunday not knowing it was free admission due to cultural holiday. Otherwise good tour but could have done self audio tour ourselves for better value.
Katarina was an amazing guide. She brought her knowledge as an archaeologist working at the site to her tour. The tour was well paced and packed with history. If you want to learn about the labyrinth, this is the tour for you.
Terrific guided tour. Highly recommend. Excellent for understanding the relationship between myth and reality of the Minoan world, 2000BCE
I enjoyed this tour as it was very informative and the guide Katrina knew all the history and myths surrounding it, you could go there solo but I thought it was really worth the commentary, the transport was good too
Our tour guide was excellent, extremely expert on the subject matter and truly made this archaeological tour one of the best we have ever been on! Important to bring water
Fabulous! Our guide was excellent! Animated, knowledgable and engaging! I would highly recommend this tour.
Very good and interesting. Our tour guide knew so much information and made the experience fun and enjoyable. Amazing history
Great experience! Yannis met me at the prearranged meeting place, explained everything very clearly (and even lent me an umbrella!). Our guide was so knowledgeable and encouraged us to also visit the archeological museum, which meant so much more after the knowledge gained on the trip. Truly mind blowing..if you’re thinking about booking..just do it
Akrivi was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and passionate. I learned so many new things and she managed to get us through the site efficiently and without having to navigate the big crowds. Highly recommend if you want this archaeological site and history/myths of Greece to come alive.
The tour lasted for 1 hour 30 mins and it was a little short for my liking. However the tour guide was excellent and the tour was very informative.
Great tour and experience walking through the ruins. Our guide, George, was excellent and very informative!
We went on this tour last year and meant to do a review at the time! It was fantastic and worth every penny! We were able to skip the line which was a real bonus. Tour was at 9am so it was great to finish before it got too hot. Tour guide Akrivi was so engaging and knowledgeable and made this a wonderful memorable experience.
The views were awesome but having a tour guide explain what you were looking at and the historical and mytholgic references made the trip.
Great tour! Our small group made it very easy to interact with the guide. She was very knowledgeable and had engaging presentation style.
We joined Akrivi for the Knossos Palace Greek Mythology tour. We really enjoyed the tour. Akrivi was engaging and friendly from the start, though my husband noted that she became more so as the tour progressed. Akrivi had studied the topic at university level so was able to accurately answer questions and had up-to-date knowledge of where research into Knossos and the Minoans is at. The visit was to fulfill a long held wish of mine but my husband was attending willingly but not keenly. However he thoroughly enjoyed the tour He found that Akrivi made the history and myths into a story which he enjoyed and found easy to follow. We would thoroughly recommend this tour.
Our guide is an archeologist and quite knowledgeable about the history of the Minoans and the Palace at Knossos as well as the Mycenaeans , We took an overnight ferry to Herakilon and after some confusion about how to get to the palace we were pleased there was a cafe with coffee at the palace . Awesome
I do not think I can recommend this to her highly enough. My tour guide was an archaeologist, and she really had a phenomenal way in which to present the ruins. I have always wanted to visit the site, and I cannot think of a better way in which to have done it.
Our guide, Akrivi, was extremely knowledgeable of both Greek history and mythology and shared that with us during our Knossos tour. We learned so much from her and she was also very passionate in telling the story. She was engaging and ensured that all of our questions were answered. It was also a small group which is definitely a plus!
Our guide Akrivi was so knowledgeable, kind and engaging. She was fantastic and very friendly. The tour was the perfect length with time for questions as we went. The palace itself is beautiful and very well preserved. We had a great time
Guide was great! We really enjoyed it. Her pace was prefect and she touched on all the things we were interested in seeing
An excellent tour, very informative. The guide covered all aspects of Minoan culture, history and mythology. The group was also small - 4 people. Highly recommend this tour.
This tour was the most informative and life changing tour I have ever been on in my 48 years of life. Not only did my family (with teens!) learn about Ancient Greece but it was related to the ways we view our world today and the invisible biases we may hold. As a teacher, I constantly try to make learning relevant to my students’ life-this tour accomplished more than that and left me inspired as a parent and teacher. The conversations Ioanna started, lead to later discussions about the type of people we want to be and the world we want to live in. An important conversation for all parents to have with their adolescent children! This is a great tour if you are wanting your children to learn to think critically about the information that they learn-and parents too need to be ready to learn! I wish I could take Ioanna with us on the rest of our adventures.
Joanne was so informative and engaging! Highest points! She told us so much from the viewpoint of a true Cretan instead of the popular Victorian view
Merci beaucoup au guide Georgios, polyglotte , très à l’écoute Nous n’étions que deux français donc visite « privée » On reviendra pour visiter les parties encore fermées au public
Very interesting. My worries not to join from Centralbusbahnfof were around otherwise. There is just next to, a bus that runs every 20 minutes to the palace. Ticket for bus, 1.50 euros. Nowhere could I find a bus connection!
