For the diving portion they really walked you through every step and this took the fear out of diving for the first time. The snorkeling was also excellent and they give you all the equipment for both diving and snorkeling. The dive instructors were very experienced and knowledgeable. The water was cold since we went in October but we all used wet suits and that really helped.
I booked the Try Scuba course and enjoyed it a lot. We saw marine life like fish, sea urchins, sponges, a small moray eel I think and there were even fragments of ancient vessels on the sea floor. Everyone was very friendly, supportive and patient and I felt safely guided throughout every step of the experience. After the first dive it was possible to spontaneously book a second dive for the same trip and we even made a small detour for my additional equipment. Thank you for this beautiful experience!
This was an excellent way to experience SCUBA diving for the first time and see if you want to pursue it. Basil and Andre were the best. They made us feel so comfortable with the equipment and the whole adventure. Over all a very enjoyable experience and we all agreed we want to do it again, and possibly get our certification.
WOW what a great experience. Be in no doubt these guys will look after you from start to finish. I did the course to become a certified diver and it was no walk in the park and so it shouldn't be. These guys want you to enjoy yourself but not at the expense of your safety. Shout out to Jarred who with will take you to task if you're not cutting the mustard and the handsome guy, Nicholas, who topped off the training with a couple of fun dives. If you're thinking about it don't hesitate and do it. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed

The instructors were incredibly patient and attentive, constantly looking after us. For travelers from tropical regions who are sensitive to the cold, I recommend visiting in late September when the water temperature is much warmer.

What a great afternoon! We set off from Agios Onoufrios, sailed to Seitan Limania and ended in Marathi. We enjoyed lots of snorkelling and swimming and were mesmerised by the sea colour and sea life. A wonderful experience! Basil and Jared were wonderful instructors for first timers. They made us feel safe the entire time and it was a once in a lifetime experience!
My other half has dived before but I've struggled even to manage snorkeling... I just can't seem to get the breathing right. With Basil's careful instruction and unlimited patience I managed both and had a whale of a time. I was able to join my other half in the dive and we both gained confidence and were able to enjoy the underwater adventure together. Captain Panos also looked after us and we even saw dolphins on the way back to the dock! I would highly recommend this experience to novice or first-time divers... Give it a try! One thing to highlight - if you are on ANY medication or have any medical/mental health conditions, do check with the dive centre first before booking... chat to Christina - she's super helpful... because some things that seem irrelevant may mean you may not be permitted to dive.
This was a really unique date experience for my partner and I. Our instructors were patient, professional and safety minded. They took their time with each participant to make sure we felt comfortable. The dive spot was very lively and full of beautiful fish. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in seeing the natural beauty of the ocean on Crete.
What an incredible experience! From the start we felt like we were in safe hands. A transfer from our hotel in the Chania area was included, which made getting to the meeting point super easy. A big thank you to Christina for organising this! All of the instructors were so helpful and patient, which was perfect for us as newbie divers. They explained everything very clearly, and helped to calm any nerves we had. We went to two locations and had a lot of fun exploring the clear waters and practicing some safety skills. At the end of the experience, we enjoyed some water and snacks before returning to the port. Many thanks to the whole team at Chania Diving Centre, I couldn’t recommend this experience enough!!

Great tour guides and well organised. Pickup in chania port worked well and everything from the explanation to getting the scuba suit went smoothly! The dive went well, pictures were taken and we had a lot of fun. Snorkelling at the second spot was also good. Only thing is maybe to tell everyone to Download the ssi app before you arrive to the tour so you don't have the hassle at the port and can fill everything out calmly in advance
Went with my brother and considering we have never scuba dived, they were extremely helpful and very good at teaching us the basics. Always made sure we were comfortable and had so much fun!
Chania Diving was awesome! They were in constant communication regarding our pick up time and location even when we tendered to the old port instead of the new port. Basal (sp?) picked us up on time, took us to the dock and ended up being our instructor / dive master. He was clear, patient, and reassuring. They had all of the right size equipment for smaller women. They took us through everything step by step. And they were right with us in the water for everything. We could not have asked for a better first dive experience.

On our three week Europe vacation, this was the best day of the trip. They picked us up from our cruise and drove us to the location. There were 4 of us (including an 8 and 10 year old) and none of us had ever scuba dived before. They made our first time scuba diving so fun and memorable. They stayed with the kids and ensured everyone was safe and had a good time. The kids said it was the best day ever. I HIGHLY recommend! They even drove us to the old city after so we could have lunch.

Amazing experience!! The crew was super helpful and friendly. Since it was my first time trying scuba diving, I was nervous but the crew does a great job at explaining everything and making sure everyone stay safe. Would def recommend!

Great experience. The instructor (Bazel) was very patient with us even if we got scared for the first dive. He talked with us and convinced us to do it again and we did manage to dive to 5m. It is a must try in a Chania.
I got to see a ton of amazing sea life. The squids were so cute I felt bad about all the calamari I had eaten. The beginner scuba dive was really great. They covered all the basics and made me feel really safe.
My friend chose a snorkeling trip while I went for two boat dives. The underwater visibility in April was fantastic—around 20–25 meters. Although the water was a bit chilly, the team provided vests to help maintain body temperature. The staff were extremely careful and patient, performing thorough safety and equipment checks before every dive. The owner and the entire team created a relaxed and professional environment, making all divers—regardless of experience level—feel comfortable and well looked after. An added bonus: the dive center has a 6-meter-long, 2.5-meter-deep training pool in the backyard. It’s a great setup for learning and practicing technical skills. Definitely worth checking out if you're considering diving in Crete!
Got us expertly equipped for the water temperature to start. During the dive, both my wife and I used or air way quicker than expected, both of us are out of shape. Jerard didofgreat job of keeping us safe and we still had a great time.

Beautiful clear water made this outing an unforgettable experience. The visibility was stunning and there were lots of fish to see. Although the water was cold, the provided wetsuit made for comfortable dives. Jarred lead the dive, and was very skilled and friendly. He picked me up and dropped me off right next to the cruise ship.

Our family of 7 (including 2 pre-teen girls) booked a private snorkeling and scuba diving shore excursion with Chania Diving Center and absolutely loved it. We contacted Chania Diving Center several months in advance, and they were super helpful in answering all our questions. We wanted a private boat and to do both snorkeling and scuba since some in our group were certified scuba divers and others weren't. They were able to design a combined scuba and snorkeling excursion, where some in our group could scuba dive and others could snorkel at two different beautiful locations near Marathi Beach. Our dive guide Dimitri and our driver/snorkel guide Yanni (hopefully we remembered his name correctly) were both super friendly and helpful. They provided all the equipment, including wet suits, although we brought our own masks, snorkels, and fins. The Diving Center picked up and dropped off at the cruise port, so it was super easy and no stress. We would absolutely book another excursion with Chania Diving Center if we get the opportunity to return to Chania. They were amazing!
Dimitri and Kostas were excellent guides. They were really fun and made sure we were safe and had the right sized equipment for our snorkeling and scuba diving. The company communicated very well with us before on where to be picked up and dropped off at. We came in on a cruise ship and had no issues with finding them. We had a great time!

Great comms before we went on the trip. They understood needs of the group and tailored the trip for us. My husband did a refresh and wreck dive whilst we snorkelled. Collected from our hotel by Thanos who was a really friendly guy and driven to and from the marina. Jared, Dimi and Yannis were super friendly and informative and made the trip fun. Equipment was in really good condition (although we took our own masks and snorkels). Would thoroughly recommend giving these guys a shout if you are interested in diving or snorkelling whilst in the Chania area. Great day out!

Chania Diving Centre is one of the best dive centres we have ever used (and we have dived as a family across Europe). From the first emails with Christina, before we arrived in Crete, to the warm welcome we received once we met: her care and communication throughout the week of diving was excellent. She went beyond her role, even advising us on restaurants and boat hire! Nickos, the owner and leader we dived with everyday, was brilliant. His knowledge of the area and history made every dive interesting. His care on top of the water and during dives, was exceptional. We felt totally safe in at all times. The equipment was faultless too. We cannot recommend this company highly enough!
I believed that I could not dive due to having trouble equalizing. The dive master was so thorough in his instructions, patient, and supportive that I made it!! Dive to 12 meters- it was incredible! He was also great with our teen son, 14. As a first time dive, he received excellent safety info and a great intro to all parts of diving including equipment and what to expect underwater.
We had a blast! The crew at Chania Diving Center was amazing and everyone on the boat had a wonderful time. We were 8 scuba divers & snorkelers with 3 crew members which was great because there was always someone available for questions. I‘m a certified diver and asked it I could do a second dive instead of snorkeling as well which was no problem after some rescheduling. My friend did scuba diving for the first time and was afraid of not bein able to breathe but Nikolas did a fantastic job at giving a briefing of the most important things to know which allowed my friend to have a great experience. Would 100% recommend!
Really fun father and son team who put my youngest daughter’s initial nerves at ease. The safety briefing was appropriately serious but delivered in an engaging manner. The boat trip was fast and really fun with a relaxing snorkelling experience to finish with. A really fun, great day out which has left my two daughters searching up where they can do a scuba diving course when they get home.
