I was visiting Crete on business and I booked a double/twin room at this hotel but there was a “problem” with my room when I checked in late at night and I got put in a tiny single bed (it was probably overbooked). The room smelt so strongly of cigarette smoke, so I went to sleep with a headache and covering my face with my t shirt it was that bad, and all my clothes ended up stinking too. The bed was too short so my feet hung off the end. There was no natural light in the room either, just views of the bins below. Slept awfully. The hotel moved me to my booked room for the second night, but they didn’t offer me any money back for the difference in price they had saved, just offered me a free drink, which I think is appalling. Wouldn’t recommend.

We stayed at Castello City Hotel for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. Our room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was convenient—we walked to the downtown area several times, and the bus stop nearby made getting around easy. We weren’t able to enjoy the breakfast because we had to leave early, but the front desk kindly prepared breakfast to go and arranged a taxi for us in the morning. Overall, a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
clean and has a good location to the walls, but about 20 minutes from the city center. comes with free breakfast, but it's mid. good service, and the bar/breakfast has pretty views over the city and of the venetian walls. missing clothes from this location.
Absolutely perfect spot for any type of holiday! Close to everything, buses are going regularly and the bus stop is opposite the hotel. Can’t prise enough the staff here! They are absolute heroes! They would help and guide without any hesitation! What is interesting that they would speak so many languages! Food was good and enormous portions! Definitely will be back!
Spent 1 night here as my flight was cancelled. 10 minutes drive from Heraklion airport. Reception took about 10 minutes to check in. The triple room was clean, basic with 3 single beds, which were super comfy and it included a fridge with tea & coffee facilities. Air con was a bit hit & miss. There was a balcony with a street view which was very busy & noisy. Convenience stall opposite open till late with lots of cheap snacks & drink options. Breakfast was great. 7am to 10.30am. A good variety of hot and cold food served in a lovely Roof top setting, with amazing sea views. Check out at 11am Ideally located with a bus stop opposite for buses running frequently to Heraklion airport, they accept cash too, its about €2.30.
