Hugo was amazing and patient with our family. Very clear on instruction and calm helping even our youngest (a bit timid) feel confident he could do this. We were on a 7 night cruise and my kids felt this was the highlight of their entire trip. After the snuba we enjoyed walking the grounds of the park to see the ruins and the sea lion show. Getting to Chankanaab was very easy. All the taxis are waiting right outside the cruise terminal and have a fixed rate of $15 each way. Taxis are also readily available on the way back.

Itinerary
SNUBA is a beautiful underwater experience similar to SCUBA Diving but with no certification required and no heavy SCUBA tanks to carry around. You will experience breathing underwater while enjoying Cozumel's unique marine life up close. All with the safety of a professional dive guide next to you. This adventure is good for the entire family. PLANNING YOUR DAY: While we try to stay on schedule there are times especially with large groups or during peak season that may slow us down a bit. We do not suggest that you schedule other time-sensitive activities after your SNUBA

Although I was not able to do the dive due to their medical requirements. They were very professional and offered me a full refund and free snorkeling equipment. NEXT TIME I'll TAKE A DOCTOR'S APPROVAL WITH ME. I WIIL BE GOING BACK.
Our experience was wonderful. The staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. The Snuba itself was lovely and we felt very comfortable for our first time. After our Snuba, we were able to use the snorkel gear all over the park. The day we went (a Monday) the park was fairly quiet so we had plenty of space to explore, drink and eat. Would absolutely recommend. We had a fantastic day!
Everyone should experience this!! Jose was fantastic with us. He made the entire experience easy. We went as a family of 4 and our kids loved it so much, they ended by scuba diving later in the day.
Two out of four could not get down because they needed more weight. My husband was told to remove his water shoes and shirt. He froze, suffered the awful walking parts and stairs and nearly died from a blood clot. He thought they were sending air from a compressor not a tank. The teens had a ball, though.....They do not take Discover cards. It was very difficult to walk around.
This is our second time doing Snuba, and it was amazing! The guide (Imanor)was so awesome at helping and giving you instruction. I got a little bit nervous at first, and he was excellent at helping me calm down so that I could dive down deep. I couldn’t recommend this anymore!
There was very little to see. Just a few fish Not on a reef. The guide was very helpful with the equipment but disappointing experience.
My husband and I had an amazing experience with Jose as our guide. He explained everything in a clear and concise way.The instructions were simple, and after a short acclamation period, we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Would definitely do this again!!
Is safety and very nice , We recomended this activitie, the instructor is really good , it is excellent
Great experience! I felt like I was diving! The water is very clear with some nice little reef sections. Easy access in and out.
My wife and I booked this excursion as a focal point of our cruise. We got off the ship, took a $20 taxi ride to the site and found out once we got there that the wind was too bad for us to go. 2 way taxi fair ($40) and 2 hours of our land time that we will never get back. I would like to see earlier notification from Viator that there is a chance that weather will lead to cancelation so that we would have the opportunity to adjust plans. The no recommendation does not reflect the Snuba experience itself, rather the negative experience we had overall.
SNUBA Cozumel was canceled due to weather conditions (Storms). So I cannot make any recommendations about it. The only thing I can say is Trip Advisor let us know ahead of time that excursion may be canceled. so my family was able to find a different excursion to go to.
Save your money for something else. The reef is dead. It’s very sad. It’s an interesting experience. Note that snuba is NOT the same as helmet diving.
Great experience! The staff was thoughtful and very informative. We did the snubs and the helmet. Thank you very much. We appreciate you.
Very personal experience, hands on, helpful, great experience. Loved this. 2nd time to work with this company! Will do again.
It was a wonderful experience! Jose and Brian took good care of us and made the Snuba experience very enjoyable.
great experience. but wasn't as much to do at the national park as I expected, so that was a bit disappointing.
My son and I had never dove before, this was a perfect introduction. The instructor was great, his explanation was thorough and our dive was really fun. You start right off shore and work your way down. We saw a stingray, lobsters and colorful fish. Not much coral, but still a great experience.
It was a great experience! At first, I was having a lot of anxiety since it was my first time doing that and I've never been snorkeling either so I was not used to breathing through my mouth with a tube. The instructors were very patient and helpful with trying to get me over the issue I was having, one of them even offered to let me use his goggles which were much better and allowed me to see better in the water which helped with my anxiety a lot. I eventually overcame my initial problems and was able to really enjoy the experience! They stayed with us the entire time and even took pictures of us under water (the photos Costa an extra $45 and get emailed to you, no printed copies available for purchase) we opted out of purchasing the photos. They also provided a locker and you have the option to snorkeling after the Snuba diving too or just spend the day cat the park exploring because you pay an extra $17 at the entrance for an entree fee which is not included in your package, neither is transportation there, we took a local taxi which costs $15. Overall, great experience, it was beautiful down in the water we went about 25 feet deep.
We could not able to use this service due to water fobia We did not had option to get money back. thought we can get partial refund but no use.
My grandkids and I went snuba diving . It was so fun. Hosea our leader did a great job showing us some of the sea creatures.
Getting from the ship to the park took a taxi ride which cost $15 and it took about ten minutes. Jose, the guide, came and picked me up and stayed by my side all the time. He took time to explain the process and after took time to show the proper way to SNUBA. The experience was fun. José was kind to make a video of me under water. Overall experience was fun and I would recommended to others.
Compared to other snorkeling experiences, there was.good reef to swim around and look at. Compared to a previous snuba experience which took us by boat to a reef just offshore, it was not as organized. Also, our tank didn’t last as long as what would be expected. Suspect there was a leak somewhere in the system as my husband and I (both open water certified divers) ran out of air before our 13 and 15 year old with no diving experience Admission to park was separate. The park is nice and has lots to offer. Overall a good experience and my boys had.a blast.
I had a great time! I have pictures to prove it! The big decision was whether to go via Viator or book through the cruise ship. I travel solo. I’m not sure how to decide. Here’s the deal: cost $20 each way by cab. And another $25 to enter the the compound. The SNUBA was EXCELLENT! And there’s so much else to do here all day. Theres dolphins, manatees, tequila tasting restaurants plenty of booze and cocktails. The drinks are really strong. There’s snorkeling. This place is very big and very nice. I enjoy the freedom that Viator offers. No set time to return I really recommend the nice crew at the SEA TREK THEY WERE VERY NICE!
Worst experience I ever had with any activity. only my daughter did activity. They took many bookings for same time. Only one person was there who was doing everything including sea trek. Booking time of 1 PM, activity was done at 3PM that too for short time 10 mins. Not proper safety. I didn't do the activity as operator was not able to do at proper time. Wasted ticket for chaknaab national park due to this most importantly time. Viator is highly unprofessional company to book this. First experience with viator. They didn't refund my part although I provided operator written note to viator. This didn't happen with me only. It happened with whole group.
Great experience. The two dive guides were excellent in helping and guiding. Loved it. Will do it again definitely. Thank you.
Jose was great - very patient. He made my family’s first Snuba adventure one we will always remember
We wanted the scuba experience and we really got it. Jose was so nice am patient with all the instructions. We were only two so this we fat a private sesión. Very highly recommended way to see the reef. Note. We booked for the. 3 pm and got there early so should anyone because the par closes at 4 pm.
This experience is fun and easy- no previous experience required. We went with our 10 year old. We were all nervous at first, but quickly adjusted to the equipment. You start in a murky little cove, but as soon as you swim out of it the water clears. Jose was great with our son, and went at our pace. You might not see as much wildlife as at the reefs, but the experience of diving makes it well worth the cost. We did see tons of cool fish and small corals.
We booked this ourselves without going through the cruise line and it was the best decision! We got there early and we were the only ones there and the amazing guides got us into the water quickly. As a result we had the trek to ourselves! And since we came early morning, the dolphins were not occupied with other guest so as a result we could see them too! The staff was great and the guide took some amazing pictures and they were reasonably priced. He even grabbed my go pro from time to time while under water to get us on video! I would recommend this location better than the downtown one as you can head on south to a all inclusive resort much quicker!!
The guide was awesome and very helpful. There was just us and another couple, but he was just as helpful as if there had of been a lot more.
Confusing where to go as there are two SeaTrek locations. Booked at 9am but operator said 10. Small shop.. Snuba starts at beach and never gets to a reef.. We saw, maybe 20 fish and very little plant life. Nice person helped us but very disappointing. Close to a scam
Snuba was great! Please note, there is an extra cost for entering the park and other activities. We’d definitely do it again!
None of it. Horrible and won't do it. Worst ever. Bad communication. Park overcharge and viator didn't communicate there was an additional fee.
We saw a lobster, a bright shade of blue, along with many other fish. We encountered a manta ray near the beginning of the tour. Our 11 year old kids had no problem with breathing through a regulator.
The reefs aren’t amazing. But there are lots of fish to see and it’s a very good way to get to stay under the water and see a bunch at one time.
Do yourself a favor and go snuba in Cozumel! After a shirt introductory lesson on how the equipment works and what to expect, our guide took us into the water for such and unforgettable experience. The fish here are gorgeous and there were several other surprises for us to see. We saw an eel, hundreds of beautiful fish, and even a lobster. The water here was so clear and the reef has so much to offer.
The snuba adventure was really amazing. We had Imanol as a guide, he was very patient with one of us who had never done any type of these activities in the past. He took his time, explained everything in detail and the tour was a success. Under the water we could see different algae, plants, fish, dolphins, etc. Imanol took photos and videos of our adventure and we were able to obtain them for a very reasonable price. Definitely recommended.
