Snorkel And Tequila Tasting Plus 5 Minutes Massage

This is a really great snorkeling spot and bar and restaurant on the West side of Cozumel. Not a sandy beach, but tables in sand at the water's edge, which is rocky coral shelf with a set of stairs providing access to the water. Go here for the snorkeling and to get away from the more expensive and more crowded cruise ship beach clubs if your main goal in Cozumel is a unique snorkeling experience and having a nice meal and drink in the sun at the waters edge. The water just offshore from the restaurant has some of the best fan coral in Cozumel. There also is great sea life to see if you snorkel 50 yards to the left or right of the entry stairs (the tropical fish do not congregate right near the entry stairs). The food and drinks are good, but somewhat tourist pricing. If you negotiate hard with the host/hostess at the entry and you are going to be there for awhile (3-4 hours), you can have the $20 fixed price package (snorkel gear, table/chair/umbrella, one drink, tequila taste and 5 minute massage) changed into a $20 credit against your food and beverage purchases. Highly recommend it for the snorkeling.

What a great stop. The snorkeling was incredible, the value was unbeatable, and the whole place had such a fun, relaxing vibe. The chairs and umbrellas were perfect for spending the day, and the bar swings made it even better. Huge shoutout to Caesar, the tequila master — incredibly friendly and made the experience even more memorable. This has easily been our favorite stop so far, and we’ve been in Cozumel for 10 days.

After a bit of research, we chose Sky Reef because we wanted a small beach club with great snorkeling and amenities, not too far from the ferry terminal, and at a reasonable price. The reviews were spot-on: The place is very cute, with chairs and umbrellas just steps from the reef. Crystal clear water with zero seaweed. No crowds as there was only one cruise ship in port today, so service was excellent. 250 pesos for the taxi from the ferry. We probably should have chosen the all-inclusive package as we enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed the entire day and ate & drank anyway. $20 US includes everything you need for a great day of snorkelling + a drink, tequila tasting (2 shots) and a 5min massage. A nice break from busy Playa Del Carmen.

We had a large extended family of 28 people visit Skyreef during our Norwegian cruise port in Cozumel. That day there were six large ships docked, which resulted in no seating being available for the first couple hours we were there - we had to just sit in the restaurant. Eventually it cleared up and we were able to sit on the beach chairs for the back half of our four hour visit. The snorkeling was fun with plenty of fish (though I had a leaky mask, this equipment has seen better days). Also the food was pretty good quality, our party raved about the burritos, and the fish tacos were excellent.. If you are a drinker and have an appetite, the $65 package could save you some money over ordering à la cart. The members of our party who got massages said it was money well spent. We chose this place as somewhere else to go other than Chankanaab which we have been to several times. It is much smaller, with not much sand and a rocky beach entrance. But the vibe was pretty good so four out of five stars!

I had a fantastic time at Sky Reef Cozumel. The snorkeling was fantastic.. There were lots of fish. The snorkeling area was mostly shallow. Easy entry into the beach even though it was a rocky bottom. I did the open bar option. My server was Geraldo and he was awesome. Never was my cup empty. And we had great conversations as well. I really felt like I got to know him. If you come to Sky Reef, ask for Geraldo and he will make sure that you are taken care of.

What a shame. Have come for years and had access with the understanding you’d eat/drink. Now feels like another island rip off $20/chair - I dont drink beer or coke. So much for feeling welcome

Great snorkeling right from the shore with clear water and easy access. There is shallow reef close to shore where we saw many different kinds of fish, and right by the wooden ladder entry there was a school of thousands of tiny fish—really fun to watch. Fantastic value at just $20, which includes snorkeling gear, beach chairs, one beer included. Getting there was easy: we paid about $16–$18 each way for a taxi for four people from/to the International Pier, and the ride was only about 10 minutes. The food was good— not exactly cheap, but reasonably priced for the quality and location. On our previous trip to Cozumel, we visited Chankanaab National Park, and this was a better experience and a much better value. Relaxed, uncrowded, and well worth it. Highly recommend, and we would definitely visit again.

Delicious food, beautiful clear water for views of fish when snorkeling, comfortable accommodations, relaxing 5 min. massage included, delicious Tequila tasting. It's a really relaxing get away that helps rejuvenate your social battery, especially if you have been on a cruise ship and will go back on one later that night.

Such a great experience! Fernando was outstanding and took the best care of us. Aldo was also great. I highly recommend coming here! The food was great and I loved the massage as well, along with the awesome snorkeling! Saw lots of fish, stingrays, and other marine life.

Lizandrer... I know that's not the correct spelling, but he was absolutely wonderful... So friendly, so welcoming and such great service... He made us all feel like family. The snorkeling Reef was excellent and the food and drink and prices were wonderful. We will definitely be back. Anyone looking for a beach and dive club to come here!

The weather was really rough so couldn’t snorkel by had a good time with tequila tasting and a few beers

Traveling via cruise with a group 10…8 adults, 2 teens. Sky Reef was a perfect day in Cozumel. The water was crystal clear and the reef was healthy with lots of fish and good coral to see. Jesus, our waiter, took amazing care of our group & always made sure we had plenty to eat & drink! We did the tequila tasting, which was excellent!! Highly recommend!! The massages on the beach were phenomenal…the ladies gave an excellent massage in a beautiful location. The price was also very reasonably priced and it was a quick taxi ride there. We all left feeling relaxed, happy and enjoyed a gorgeous day!!! 10/10 recommend if you want a peaceful and relaxing fun time.

We were looking for a beach club that was not over the top with inflatable toys in the water and the cruise ship crowds. Skyreef fit the bill perfectly. It is a smaller, quiet club with very good food and excellent snorkeling. Our server was Fernando, who took great care of us. We opted for not having the all inclusive and went with the minimum spend per person. This worked out fine. My wife also had a massage, which she liked very much. Fernando was very attentive and made sure we had a cold beer if needed. The ceviches and aguachiles were great. It was our friend's birthday. When we settled up, they brought each of us a shot and a piece of chocolate flan for the birthday boy. Taxis are readily available coming or going. Great place. Recommend.

We were on a tour and stopped into Sky Reef. We snorkaled and then had drinks. It is a beautiful place and the reef near the shore was impressive. I would go back in a heart beat! Don't miss it if you are in Cozumel. You do need wheels to get there.

Snorkelling was beautiful, food was excellent, drinks were very good. Our server was Fernando he was awesome and took care of us very well. We did not pay an entrance fee. Jesus from Fiesta car rentals at the Allegro Cozumel Resort recommended this Gem. Thank you 😊

We have been to Sky Reef many times, but this visit was abysmal. When we sat down to eat, our waiter never served us but made sure he kept larger parties well taken care of. Twice we asked to be served, but no one ever came. Not acceptable.

We had a few hours in Cozumel and thought we'd do some snorkeling. Skyreef looked like a good option. We took a taxi and paid the $20 fee for chair/umbrella, snorkeling gear, and a drink. After paying, we were directed to the chairs. They were pretty worn out and the umbrella didn't work. There was no one around to help with this or explain where to get the snorkel gear. Since we had our own masks, we just went in the water. The water is nice, very clear, and not too deep. The snorkeling, however, is marginal at best. There were a few fish but little coral. After swimming for awhile, we went back to the beach and a server brought our drink. It was pleasant sitting by the water but there are much better beach clubs in Cozumel. A taxi was available when we were ready to leave.

We came here as part of a private tour on Cozumel Island. They advertised the $20 USD entry fee to include a drink, snorkelling gear, 5 min massage and tequila tasting. But because we were there on a Sunday, there was no massage or tequila tasting. And some people in our group didn’t even want to go snorkelling but were still charged full price. Food was decent. Overall, I was disappointed and felt we were ripped off. Positive: nice views

We went as a family group of 7. We all felt that we got a really lovely warm welcome and enjoyed the complimentary drink and 5 minute massage. The food was fantastic and worth the wait (it was a bit slow on both occasions we ordered). And actually, we were nervous around how expensive the food might be but it wasn’t too bad and the portion sizes were really generous. We were split on the actual snorkelling area, a few of us loved it and spent a considerable amount of time in the water but others felt it was a bit ‘barren’ and there wasn’t as much to see as elsewhere they’d been. The tequila was very yummy but very very overpriced. The flavoured ones extremely sweet. But the main aged tequila which was really the only one worth buying was 3 or 4 times the amount you’d pay for a single malt whisky in Scotland! Understand it was a family business and would’ve loved to support local (I really wanted to buy some) but unfortunately don’t have $250 lying around spare. Overall definitely worth the price of this package considering everything that was included.

This was our first visit to SkyReef and we couldn’t be more satisfied. It is difficult to find a place on Cozumel to go which doesn’t charge a lot for an all inclusive package that we don’t need (we have our own snorkel equipment and we don’t drink much alcohol). And we do not want to be in a place with lots of drinking. SkyReef doesn’t charge anything for entry or snorkeling, but relies on income from the restaurant and bar. We got there on Sunday by 11am, found a lounge chair with an umbrella and we’re there until 5pm. The snorkeling was pretty good (better in the morning as it was clearer and more fish to see). We saw at couple of sting rays and a school of cuttlefish, which I had never seen before. We ordered lunch from our lounge chairs and the fish ceviche was amazing, and the nachos with pastor (pork I think) was good. All in all we couldn’t ask for more. We will be back.

Surprisingly good experience. Reef although near the shore, is diverse with fish, and rays. Tequila tasting was quite fun, with aged liquor up to 17 years. Tip(s): (1) if you are just looking for beach access (and snorkelling equipment), the tequila tasting, 5min massage, and 1 free drink, then buy your ticket there, it’s 20USD vs 25USD if you book online. (2) if you are looking for transportation, you can get a taxi for ~30USD return (15 USD each way). Wasn’t sure if there is any other way to access this other than rented vehicles. (3) If you’re looking for the best atmosphere; go earl around 10, as things clear up around 3. If you’re looking to relax, try and time your visit, as the busiest time when I was there was 1PM (busy at the bar), so maybe use that for snorkelling? Would definitely recommend if you’re trying to see the Cozumel reefs on a budget.

Beautiful reef, great service from waiters. I waited to get picked up, then i texted the tour operator who never responded, finally asked around the post area and paid $15.00 each way for taxi ride. Tequila tasting requires a tip. If you want to purchase a bottle the price ranges from $60.00 to $250.00. In addition, too much haggling. I was paying to be at a private venue and I was bombarded with people trying to sell me things. Not as relaxing as what I expected. There is no beach it is a reef.

We stopped by sky reef unexpectedly and was not disappointed. Fernando was super helpful with what we wanted and the food was amazing! Definitely come here when in Cozumel!

I can’t recommend this place enough!!! We went here while on a cruise to get a break from the crowd of people on the ship. Best decision we made!! Quiet, peaceful, beautiful!! Drinks were good and fast so was food. Snorkeling was wonderful here!! If you want a break from “the party” Go Here!!!!!

We took a cab from Cozumel Palace and had heard good things. The cab driver said there was a 20 dollar cover. The cover included snorkel gear, a tequila tasting, 5 minute massage, and a drink. My son is 15, we had our snorkel gear, I don't like tequila, and I didn't need a massage! I asked if we could just pay as we go. It all felt kinda scammy to pay 40 bucks to enter a bar. In a very rushed negotiation in broken Spanish and English, they offered 1 20 dollar package with 3 drinks. I felt aprehensive at first, as it just kind of seemed like a tourist trap. It worked out in the end, the place was nice, and they were very friendly. The snorkeling seemed bad at first as there is a big barren section that a the cruise touristas stand around looking at nothing. I soon realized that all the cool stuff was in about 2 feet of water right at the bar area. It was actually very good with healthy coral, sea fans, and lots of life. Once i relaxed, it turned out just fine. I would recommend .

The staff are so nice and helpful every minute. Awesome experience. Food was fantastic and generous portions.

Food is always amazing, the staff is really friendly, Fernando has help us couple of times already and that guy goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and appreciated. If you want a fun Caribbean day don't hesitate to come here, it is worth it!!! Snorkel is awesome as well, they have equipment for rent... what can I say my husband and I we love it here!!!!

My husband and I stopped here looking for a place to have some lunch while staying on the island for a well deserved kid free vacation. The views were stunning. The service was amazing. The food was delicious! However, our favorite part was the snorkeling. The reefs are incredible, there are so many beautiful fish and water is crystal clear. We were never rushed to leave, we would snorkel for a while, go back to our table to take a break and order a dessert or something to give us more energy. The pork nachos and the Buffalo wings are delicious. We went to the Sky Reef two days in a row because we couldn’t get enough. It’s away from all the busyness of the tourists in town. We went during the week and it was so relaxing and calm. I would give this a solid 10.

I loved snorkeling and our day at Sky Reef. For $20 it was well worth it! The snorkeling was good, loved that it included a chair and rentals all day, great included margarita, the tequila tasting was WONDERFUL, and we had a blast. The service was wonderful and they even had a Marachi band which was super fun! We also ordered lunch which was great as well! Very authentic! I am a travel agent and I recommend Sky Reef to everyone! I can't wait to make it back in December!

Not bad snorkeling. I saw a 4’ baracuda with sharp teeth and lots of smaller fish. Massage was good and the tequila tasting can be dangerous. It goes down real smooth.nice place to relax on a hot day

Unfortunately the day we were in Port it was very windy. The water was very rough so we couldn't snorkel. However we made the best of it with fajitas, and guac. I got a beach side massage and we sampled tequila. We even bought a bottle it was so delicious. This was my second time there and would go back again!

Can you bring a Infant on this my son will be 1 year and 5 months when we go aging and I would love to take him

The Tour was very bad. Tour I believe the name is Andreia. Or something like that. They took us to places where there was almost nothing to see, whether it was corals, starfish or mantas. And it included lunch of ceviche and tacos and drinks, and it was poorly served, little etcetc.
