The “beach” is concrete with a few inches of sand on top of it. No actual beach water is just reef. Drinks are terrible. Super crowded. Kids are not allowed to kayak or paddleboard. Was told massages are included, and they are in fact not included. Definitely would not recommend.

A wonderful excursion from the ship. The snorkeling was amazing and our guide Sabrina showed us an underwater cave and a cenote. The staff keep track of every one. Lunch was delicious. We were taught to make guacamole. Highly recommend! We could have kayaked but did not. Shopping was fun.
Great place! Service was great, Oliver was there for everything we needed. I was in a boot after ankle surgery and they were so helpful. Only bad thing was it was too short. Beach is beautiful, but rocky, so take your water shoes.
Beautiful beach, setting and people were super friendly especially our waiter Miguel, he made it so relaxing and easy going for us.
Aerial was excellent on the beach. Always attentive and we never had an empty glass. Guided us to the buffet and took care of our every need. Snorkeling on our own was nice. No reef, bit plenty of fish. Rocky shoreline, shoes recommended.
Nice beach bar layout. Sun beds, umbrellas, snorkelling & kayaking included along with 4hour drinks package. Staff were very attentive. Changing area and toilets Only negative was no WiFi.
Everyone was so friendly and service was great. Snorkeling was good on the reef. Food was amazing. Good deal
We loved the beach and the service from Pedro. He was incredible and tended to all of our needs! However, I will be back to the beach club for the beach, but I will NEVER shop at the shops there again. I feel like I was taken advantage of, and was overcharged for the things we bought. I will not support the shops again.
Joaquin, Jose, Miguel have ALL been amazing!!!! Joaquin was alway making sure we were taken care of and having a good time. He had the best recommendations. I even had a nose bleed and came running with napkins making sure I was taken care of. Seriously the BEST service I have ever had !!!!! I will definitely be coming back because of how amazing Joaquin was! Genuinely Joaquin was the reason me and my friends had the time of our lives.
Misleading advertisement. On playa uvas website shows price 55.00 for all amenities and I paid 55.00 thru Viator and got the minimal amenities. Not impressed with Viator right now.
Norma made the day super special! WOULD RECOMMEND, we've been here before but it gets better each year. Open bar is the best
Ariel was a great attentive waiter. Ad a great experience snorkeling, at the beach, in the pool and the food was great!!!
Ariel was the best waiter and host! He surprised us with a special drink, called Mamacita. He was kind and helpful!!!! Very sweet. Thank you!!!
This was a Carnival cruise excursion for a beach day with 2 hour buffet and open bar. Our guide, Charly, seems to have lied to our group, although I may be the only one who noticed. We were taken to the Beach Club, and entered thru the shopping area. As we passed the "black coral" shop, he pointed at it and said, "That shop is Carnival approved, so feel good shopping there." He stated that the only place to get Black Coral was Cozumel. (Imagine my surprise getting back home and finding out that the state gemstone of Hawaii is .... Black Coral.) It was overcast on the day of my visit, and I was surprised pleasantly that they gave me the option to cancel if I wanted to since it was a chance of rain. I chose not to cancel and spent the day on the beach. The club itself was ok.....drinks were good, but really small (5-6 ounce cups) so lots of ordering of drinks. Antonio was great at keeping up with any drink orders. Lunch was all you can eat, and it was quite tasty. It never did rain, so the time at the beach was great. Shopping was not so great. I went to the Black Coral shop and inquired about a necklace. The sales man told me it was over $200. I told him I did not bring that much cash with me. He asked how much I brought with me, and he said, since I was willing to pay cash, he could give me a great discount - only $120. I told him I did have that much and agreed to purchase. I asked about a black coral bracelet to match, and he said the bracelet is $175. I again told him that I didn't have that much cash and I did not have a credit card with me. He said, "You have $40? Give me $40 and I'll let you have it." I dug in my bag and got the $160 for both purchases. He packed up the bracelet for me while I looked for the cash. I left the shop with no receipt (since it was cash?) I went to the shop near the road, first one on the right of the club, to buy a medication. I made that purchase, and there was a counter in that same shop that had rings and jewelry. Al, the sales person, approached me and showed me a "zultanite" ring that changed colors with different lighting. It was a beautiful ring and he quoted $350 for the ring. I told him I wouldn't spend that much on a ring that didn't even fit my ring finger - it did fit the pinky finger. i looked at another "zultanite" ring that had a smaller stone (along with "white sapphires") and he said if I paid cash for that, the would give it to me for only $120. I again told him it didn't fit my ring finger, although it did fit my pinky finger. It was a beautiful ring, and he said, "No worries on the size. Go to Tanzanite International, back at the port before you get on the ship. We partner with them, and they will size that ring for you in 10-15 minutes. I'll even take a little off for the sizing. You can have the ring for $100." I restated what he just said confirm that I understood right, and he said, yes I understood right. I paid for the ring and left the shop, again with no receipt unfortunately. When we arrived back at the port, I went to Tanzanite International with the story I was given by Al about sizing the ring. They said they only size rings that are purchased in their store. So, I told the employee, "Great, now that makes me question to value of the ring as well." When I got back to the ship, I looked at the ring and the bracelet/necklace that I had purchased. I ended up with a beautiful pinky ring and the bracelet that the black coral rep packed up was not the one I looked at in the store. He switched the bracelets and I have a bracelet that has damaged areas. I learned my lesson and will not be purchasing jewelry again in Cozumel, if in any ports. Be cautious of the shopping, as they will tell you whatever they can to sell you. The beach experience was satisfactory, but tainted by the shopping experience.
Ask for Miguel! So helpful! Great hospitality! He had drinks waiting for and made sure we were never lost! watched our belonging, held our chairs! I can't say enough wonderful things about Miguel. You wont be sorry(:
Everything was amazing, we loved the snorkel and the food was so delicious. The price was good and the attendance was great for Joaquin, he was excellent
Had such an amazing time relaxing on the beach and at the pool. Joaquin our server was polite and super friendly, he made sure we were relaxed and well taken care of. This excursion was only about a five minute ride from the port/ship, and easy to get back and forth thanks to our wonderful guides Urban and Diego. The beach front was rocky like the review says, but is not super hard to access. I would definitely recommend and do this excursion again, all of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Come for the beach and stay for the atmosphere! We were in Cozumel for a Carnival cruise and booked this excursion ourselves. Miguel and the bartender (didn’t catch his name) were amazing! We arrived around 10:30 am due to an earlier than expected port time so we were the first to arrive for the day and had the area to ourselves for over an hour. Miguel greeted us with drinks and kept them coming our entire time. We also enjoyed a massage from Crystal. The food was also delicious! We would definitely come back.
Pedro is awesome!!!!!! Great service even helped me find my party whenever I got lost because I could not find them
Ariel provided amazing service and the food was fantastic! Great experience all around. ARIEL ARIEL ARIEL ARIEL ARIEL ARIEL ARIEL ARIEL
Miguel was great he took care if us fantastic. Is the great excursion a fantastic time. Great food and drinks.
Joaquin was an awesome waiter. He met all expectations and was very courteous and kind. Would come here again.
Pedro and Migel are excellent! Make sure and get them. Unlimited food and drinks. The service was second to none.
Miguel is the best server we have had ! I highly recommend the place and him ! The food was very good . Highly recommend garlic shrimp !
Miguel is the best!!! He made our day so fun! He made service quick and friendly. The resort is nice and I will be coming back!
We came to Cozumel on a cruise and didn't have an excursion planned for the day. After walking around and shopping we decided to find a beach - a taxi driver recommended Playa Uvas so we all decided to go and see what it was about. The 9 people with our group were really happy with the look of the place when we arrived. The bathrooms flushed and weren't terribly messy, there were plenty of chairs/loungers available, the sand was clean and it was a beautiful day for the beach. We were assigned our chairs (which was fine) but there were a few ants towards the end of the stay. Our server's name was Keny - he and his not name tagged assistant were amazing and overly friendly and accommodating.... at first. We arrived at 12:10 - i know this because Keny wrote the time on our all you can drink wristbands (said it was so that people don't overstay their 4 hour all you can drink limit - which i understand and it totally makes sense). We had a great time listening to our own music, drinking, swimming, taking pictures/videos and meeting new people. The mariachi were very good - didn't try the food so i can't speak for it. The drinks were ok but i only drank rum & coke - friends had the pina coladas/margs and took some tequila as well. We never really had to wait for drinks or hunt down Keny - he was always available for whatever we needed. At 2:30 we decided to calm down and start getting things together to head back to the boat around 3:30. A few of our friends had "a few" too many drinks so we figured that by the time we get everything together and call a taxi we would have about an hour in port before we had to get back on the ship. I let Keny know and he went ahead and cut our wristbands off at 3 (we assumed it was so we couldn't pass our bands to other people to use - which would make sense and be totally fine). They cut our bands off while we were still packing up at the beach chairs and when we went to walk out and call a taxi we were told we couldn't leave. Security walked up and told us we still owed money - we were very confused. We were then informed that we overstayed our time because they were showing we got there at 11 - not at 12:10 EVENTHOUGH if we had of gotten there at 11 we were still within our time since it was only 3 and we had a 4 hour time slot. We had to argue with a number of people as they were trying to charge us an extra $68 US each person. They didn't know we had 3 fluent spanish speakers in the group and basically thought everyone had drank too much to bother pushing back. I was the party mom on this day and after going back and forth for 20 mins i told them we had photos and videos of our wristbands with the appropriate times on them.... They didn't even ask to see the photos - they new they were wrong. In summation - its great if you just want to have some drinks on a beach. No shoreline hustlers and the drinks & service is amazing. MAKE SURE YOU GET A RECEIPT AND TAKE A PHOTO OF YOUR WRISTBAND so they don't try to take advantage of you.
This place was great! Not too busy, super pretty, plenty to do. Snorkeling was incredible, right on the reef. Eduardo and his brother Ronaldo were our servers for our 4 hour stay coming off the boat. They were informative, attentive, and polite. We had a blast during our day at Cozumel!!! Highly recommend!
Cruise ship excursion with Carnival. The open bar was as advertised and they did not water down the drinks at all. Everyone in our group had a nice beach chair and enjoyed the area. The fish pedicure thing was a big hit for everyone in our group too.
Booked this for our cruise ship stop in Cozumel. Make sure you get there early in order to grab a good spot and some less run down chairs. The good - wait staff is on top of things - food is passable - snorkeling is better than average - value is decent but make sure you get clarification on what food and drinks are included in your package The bad - non stop hocking of various wares when you are just trying to relax - clientele can be a little off-putting - cleanliness isn't the main attrraction - staff isn't the friendliest Bottom line - Do a good deal of research. There are a ton of inclusive beach break options in Cozumel. This one is pretty average.

We were very satisfied with the service and amenities, especially for the price. Beach isn't sandy but worked just fine. Our server Monkey did a fantastic job

We decided to splurge on two hours of open bar but the time was cut short by the staff because they were closing up at 4:30. I understand closing time, but we should have been told they close early and we wouldn't be getting the full deal -- we were being pushed hard to buy it. The drinks and the food were not tasty. And come prepared with correct change. We ended up having to over-tip for this bad experience because they didn't have any change -- perhaps a scam because how is possible at the end of the day of running the restaurant...

This was the perfect spot, away from the crowds and in a beautiful setting. The staff was professional, friendly,, and accommodating. Our package Included 4 hous of open bar drinks, and kayak rental. Our only complaint was that the oars used with the Kayak didn't float if you lost your grip. The water was too deep for us to dive in and get it, so we were charged 40 to cover the cost of the oar. Then they sent someone out to get it.

Dismal service of the waiters for going alone and being national none wanted to attend to me
It's a good place, its staff is helpful, its prices are a little high but I think it's worth it for the place, I didn't like that we asked for a kayak and they told us no and that's why we went. The food is fast. I give it a rating of A and B. 2.
I give it a star because it plays and because it did not meet my expectations for the exhorbitant price we pay (220 usd for three people). It was an “all-inclusive” but the food and beverage menu of this package was very limited and they had another menu with many more options paying separately, very small drink glasses. He also says that they lend you the life jacket and the snorkel but it is only for an hour, there were not many fish, basically only of the yellow variety with black stripes. And very normal meal preparation, nothing else compared to what they charge. The good thing is the sea, beautiful, crystal clear, but it is not to lie on the sand to sunbathe because the beach is full of rocks. Of highlighting the excellent service of the waiter Fabian, he was always very aware of us and we were glad the stay with his kindness. The craft shops that work in there charge exaggerated prices, it is better to shop at the markets near the pier. Attention is generally abysmal, except for the waiter I mentioned, at the front desk they don't even help you get a taxi to take you back to the dock. It seems that all they care about is that one pays but does not provide a good Service. As for the use of the snorkel, it is limited to an hour and also its condition is completely unhygienic, it really disgusts to wear that and the vests smell horrible, my daughter got a sore in the mouth a couple of days after having used that snorkel there. I really DON'T RECOMMEND it, and that they mention about massages is at a high extra cost of course, it's not even included in the VIP package. I think out of ignorance we ended up at the worst beach club in all of Cozumel, paying an excessive cost for a really lousy Service.
Very good attention from the waiter joaquin excellent always attentive to what one needs more like the recommended more waiters as the spite that I am local
I recommend Joaquin very attentive. Oh, too. If you go as a couple you can get food and drink at a good price:) . They have showers and clean bathrooms. Amazing drinks.
