This was a nice place to spend a day in Cozumel. Good food and place for what we paid. Inclusive drinks are not good. Snorkeling was not available during our visit because of the tides but I don’t think the tides were too big. They were maybe a foot high.

The beach club is very nice. It is right on the beach and there is plenty of chairs with umbrellas. The staff if friendly and helpful. The All Inclusive feature includes your own server. Food and drinks are plentyful. We had a great time.
Rocky shoreline with good snorkeling. Shaded umbrella loungers beachside and roofed patio with tables and chairs. Prompt friendly service.
Our group of 10 enjoyed it. Nice chairs and umbrellas. There were plenty of fish and the food was very good. The drinks were average for Mexico. We were prepared for a very rocky beach entry, not smooth sand.
Ana sold us 2 tickets including Taxi transport to Playa Uvas. She charged us $20.00 pp The club had a restaurant and snorkeling and kayak area.My husband wanted to snorkel and all the gear was included in price! I could not snorkel however I walked around and there was plenty to be amused in shopping for souvineers and Mexican crafts. There came a Thunderstorm and everyone swimming had to get out so I appreciated that they took safety measures. Place closes at 5p but they let my husband snorkel until 6p since there was a 45min weather interruption so we went to the restaurant and ate one of the best ceviches I've ever had in my life! Would I return...yes!! Next time would like to try kayaks.
This was a nice resort (not upscale, but decent), especially if you like snorkeling. The entrance into the water is a little rough. You have to be careful. Water shoes may be helpful. Plenty of fish to look at!!! The bar service and food were great! Good value for the money!
Great value for the money. We had the all-inclusive package. Christian kept the drinks coming. He was very attentive. Made great suggestions. We ate at the restaurant and it was very very good. The water was absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the rocks were a little bit of a problem. Be sure to bring your water shoes.
This place was exceptional! We had our own personal wait staff, Margherita, who came by at least every 30 minutes to serve us. She actually took time to get to know us and was very personable. They were so accommodating the entire time. The grilled fish tacos are the best I've ever had!!!!
This was the best part of our trip!! Beautiful place, wonderful snorkeling ALL DAY LONG. Our waiter had drinks delivered before we could ask- food was yummy. I can't wait to go back again. Great value for your money.
Best Day Ever!!!!!! The Food and Drinks just kept coming!!!! The snorkeling was Fantastic!!!! Clear Blue Water and Fish Everywhere. The Kayak was Amazing as well. We really LOVED Our Server NORMA!!! Wow!!!! We were a party of 5 people and that Wonderful, Precious Lady took care of our Even Need, Want and Desire!!! NORMA pamper us and cared for us from the bar to the beach, back to the bar and then to the pool. She stuck with us the Entire Day!!! She was Absolutely the Best!!!! Norma was AWESOME!!!!! We still miss you Girl!!!!
Service was a little questionable waiting over an hour and thirty-minutes for food! The sand on the beach was also very hard
The place was beautiful and the workers was very attentive. And super sweet. I love the kids area it was perfect for my 2 yr old
Had a good time. Good snorkeling right the shore.
We will be back. We were a little delayed getting off the boot. Our driver was waiting still where our arranged place was. The accommodation there was amazing. We snorkel all day which was fantastic. Pedro was an incredible waiter. Bringing food and drinks before we even knew we wanted more. We can’t wait to come back.
This was a nice beach. It is very rocky, but beautiful. Bring swim shoes! Snorkeling was amazing! Food/drinks were very good
Omg the best place to see in Cozumel and the snorkeling. The water is calm and clear like a pool but the ocean wildlife and scenery is like something out of the movies. Perfect is the only word to describe it. Safe and friendly and clean!
Fun day with family. Plenty of food and drinks. The new swimming pool is a big improvement to past visits
Had a great time, and drinks were good, service was great, we had ulysias as our server. Beach was beautiful and a bit rocky but snorkling was great!
We went here on a cruise excursion in early March, and we enjoyed it so much that when we returned to Cozumel on another cruise in late March we took this excursion again. Abraham was our host on the 1st visit and Chris was our host on the 2nd. Both were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the snorkeling here - it was much better than at the other Cozumel beach clubs we have been to. The only downside is while there is a sandy beach, the entrance to the water is very rocky. There is a sandbag path into the water by the dock, but water shoes are highly recommended. There is a guided snorkeling tour where they point out interesting things; we saw a stingray, a lobster, an underwater cave that connects to a freshwater cenote, and lots of beautiful fish. We were allowed to continue snorkeling by ourselves after the tour and of course we did! The buffet was good and had vegetarian options and the drinks were tasty. We also enjoyed the tequila tasting. We loved Uvas!
Does not open until 9 am! We were there an hour early because the website said they open at 8 am. The staff did their best to accommodate us and once everything was ready we had a great time. Margarita took care of us and did a great job. Food was very good. We would definitely come back!
Great little hidden gem. All inclusive with awesome service and great snorkeling on site! Could have stayed in the water swimming with all kinds of colorful fish all day. Older kids and parents had a great day. Thank you Eric!
Very friendly and great service
Food was great. Service was great. Drinks were good. The water was too rough for us to snorkel. That was the only downer. But our waiter went above and beyond to make up for it!
We got a day pass while our ship was docked here. Nothing like the pictures. The people in the stands selling merchandise vultures who don’t take no for an answer. Shoreline is pretty rocky and the sand part is hard. Everything is outdoors, not able to go inside when you get over heated. Drinks and food were subpar and the bathrooms were gross. On the plus side our server Ariel was awesome and very attentive and they have kayaking and snorkel equipment for use.
Beach is conveniently located about 10-15min from cruise port. All the staff there were very friendly. Our snorkel guide Angel was great. However, I would not go back there. The buffet was mediocre. The beach is bad. It’s extremely rocky. And when you enter the water from the designated platform there are boulders and sandbags you have to step on making for uneven, slippery ground. And if you’re looking for that pretty blue water, you won’t find it here.
Easy to get to but wasn’t really what we were expecting. $13 to rent a towel. The buffet was extremely basic with very few options. If you want to order from the menu be prepared to pay grossly overinflated prices. Drinks were also the most basic, cheapest drinks with only a limited selection to choose from. It’s a high tourist spot so expect to be surrounded by 100s of other tourists, squished in on their sun loungers like sardines (if you come early enough to get a sun lounger). The pros were the water activities. We were attended to by Angel who very much lived up to his name and made our experience much more enjoyable. That said, having been to much better beach clubs on the island, I would not return to this one.
The club itself is attractive, and the facilities are well maintained. The beach is quite rocky, so the wooden pier is a helpful feature for entering the water. Unfortunately, the overall experience is diminished by the constant approach of vendors, which becomes intrusive and uncomfortable for guests. The buffet was particularly disappointing. Nearly every dish was overwhelmed by excessive onions, the rice was undercooked, and the cochinita pibil lacked both color and flavor, resembling a bland tinga instead. The pork was filled with onions, and the refried beans were so watery they resembled soup. The prices are unreasonably high for the quality provided. I would gladly pay premium prices for better food and service, but this establishment falls far short of that standard.
We took this excursion while visiting Cozumel as part of a Virgin Voyages cruise. The drinks were strong, the food was plentiful and delicious, and Christian was an outstanding waiter. A little turned off by the vendors coming by our beach chairs to upsell things like hair braiding, massages, photos, and specialty food and drink. The beach itself is not pretty, but we knew that going into it so it wasn't a big deal. Found Cozumel to be a "meh" port, so probably won't return, but wanted to give Christian a special shout out because his service was amazing.
Beware of compliance with the cancellation policy on this vendor! I had to cancel my reservation for the Playa Uvas excursion in Cozumel on 9/25/25 due to the illness of my cruise partner. To cancel my reservation and request a refund, I called Customer Care (702 number) on 9/24/25 at 12:08 a.m. The earliest start time of our tour was 9/25/25 at 8:00 a.m., which is actually quite a few more hours than the required 24 hours from the time of my cancellation request. Here's a copy of the Cancellation Policy for this tour: "For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start time of the experience." On Thursday, 9/25/2025 at 2:19 p.m., I received an an email from Viator (a TripAdvisor company) that stated the following: "Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund." I was very upset to see that my refund request was refused, and I sent a email on 9/27/25 upon my return from my trip to appeal the decision. I included a copy of my phone log to prove the date and time of my initial call. On 10/7/25, I received the following response from Viator Customer Service: "We regret to hear about the circumstances surrounding your refund request. Viator strives to make every attempt to address our customers' concerns. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to offer a refund." I've successfully used TravelAdvisor several time in the past . . . but no more! They clearly do not honor their posted Cancellation Policy!!!
I’m here now 9/1/25. Do not believe the pictures. Was told that that You have to go up to the bar to get your own drinks. Drinks horrible. Beer in small glasses margaritas are watered down and no tequila to add to it. Food was horrible. Nachos was the cheese you buy in the can and fajitas was just as bad. Tortillas were molded. I wanted a refund from the time I arrived but this was a last minute booking. Should have gone somewhere else.
This is my second time visiting Uvas Playas and I really enjoy the snorkeling and kayaking there. And, they have the most amazing grilled fish tacos, and yummy pina coladas. My only criticism was that the paperwork I received with my confirmation said they opened at 8am, but I had to wait well over 30 - 40 minutes until they were ready to take me, and then I felt like I was inconveniencing them because I got there "so early".
Great food, Great drinks, Great service, Nice place, Great fish to snorkel, however no beach. Too rocky.
Fantastic day! Perfect beach experience.. my wife and I went with our 14 yr old and22 year old and everyone was happy, Gracias to Joaquín our waiter, for topnotch attention!!
Ariel was amazing took care of me and my husband the whole time! Always had drinks in our hands! Service was great! Highly recommended!!
The hosts were amazing!! Shoutout to Juan, Norma, and Edwin for making the experience great! We went snorkelling as well and the instructors eased us in, helping every step of the way. The food was delicious and the drinks were great!! I also loved how I could get my photos from snorkelling! Definitely would come back
We had a great time snorkeling with Roberto! Very clean facility and super attentive staff. We had an amazing day at UVAs beach!
We took an excursion from MSC Seashore. Beach Bash, snorkel, tequila tasting and more. Our guides Flower and Alejandro were the best! They kept us organized and well informed. They made sure we took advantage of everything our tour included and gathered us up at the appropriate times so we didn't miss a thing. We arrived and received our instructions and they showed us where everything was located that we had access to. We had a 2 hour lunch buffet and open bar! The beach was ok but a little rocky for our taste. There were 3 pools we had access to also. Restrooms, changing rooms, chairs and umbrellas on the beach, snorkeling equipment and guided snorkel session. We were shown how to make authentic guacamole and tasted it. We had a tequila tasting as well. They extended our excursion an hour to allow for transportation time to the beach so we got the max time to enjoy ourselves. This was an unexpected pleasure. We were returned near the port where there was shopping. Highly recommend!
Best excursion I've ever done! Ariel was amazing!! Alejandro was such a good host. Shop guide we're sweet and helpful!!!
This was the best excursion I have ever been on from a cruise! Ariel and Alejandro were amazing. We had the best time. Highly recommend! 10/10
Amazing. Best exertion i’ve been on! Service was amazing and everyone was very nice! Alejandro was our guide and he was so helpful with everything!
The best staff & best time! Christian was very attentive & amazing! Came to us every 5 minutes with anything we needed! Was so knowledgeable about the amenities & made our day here perfect! He was the best waiter & person here!
Snorkeling was good, the guy that hands out the dive gear would not let you snorkel without a “guide” and then demanded a tip for the service which is not required or appreciated. Ruined a nice snorkel trip. The rest of the place was marginal at best
We had amazing service with Ariel! He was friendly, attentive and fast. The seafood platter was exceptional and the water and beach were beautiful!
Place was good. Windy at first. We could not get in the water but as soon as the wind died down some they came and got us to make sure kids could snorkel. Food was good. Best thing was waitress Margarita. She is a gem. Always coming by to check on us. She was very friendly and made it a great experience.
I have a back to back cruise stopping in Cozumel twice. I thought I’d be visiting here twice but this felt like a scam. We paid $55 for all inclusive drinks and meals. Our waiter downgraded our order for 2 orders of nachos to 1. He did check by about 30 minutes after the first was delivered and we were able to get another. We were told to stay at the beach and order through our personal waiter mani. If you choose to come here, realize he appeared 4 times I think. We couldn’t find him when we left to go to ship but he chased us down for a tip. We still tipped $10 but for $55 I can get food and drink anywhere in Cozumel. These drinks are in the small juice glasses that ships use. We were ripped off. I tried a new place and learned my lesson. If you have a place you like, you may want to stick with it - definitely won’t be here ever again.
Make sure you go down the road from The Fiesta American in Cozumel to Uvas. FIND Luisa! The fish nibbles on your toes is fun. However, the wonderful foot massage Luisa delivers is to die for. Every little bone in your toes and feet are relaxed! She is so good at what she does!!!!! 🐟🐟🐟
A group of 10 of us got the all-inclusive pass to the beach club and it was worth it. The wait staff/bartenders were very attentive and Jose Roberto provided an amazing snorkeling tour. We saw lots of fish and he would answer any questions we had. Would definitely recommend visiting this beach club if visiting Cozumel.
Really nice staff. Enjoyed the delicious lunch, snorkeling and sun! We really had a fun day. The water was amazing. Lots of relaxation.
Upon arrival, we were told the beach club was at capacity and to try back later in the afternoon as guests would begin leaving around that time. I told them we wouldn't be able to return later nor should we have to seeing as we prepaid. Regardless, we were told we'd have to wait until space opened up. We were subsequently forced to make alternate arrangements. I requested a refund from Viator, which they denied as the merchant claims they weren't at capacity that day. Stay far away from this "beach club".
Viator is available at all the popular destinations to help you create lasting memories. We really enjoyed this stop in Cozumel because we decided to book an exclusion while cruising with Carnival. Of course, the price was less than half that of the cruise. We were able to customize the times booking our own taxi to and from port. Playa Uval was 2 miles away for less than 7 minutes drive. They had every beachy comfort and pleasure in this all inclusive package including: chairs, towels, food and drink, wait staff, snorkel gear, kayaks, pools, cabanas, restrooms, shopping, optional seafood, and paragliding. I had the good fortune of having a personal guide take me into the deep. They had tons of beautiful fish, rays, coral, and ocean views. Excellent experience, beautiful beach, kind staff, wonderful spot, with everything you could want in a tour.
