Mexican Lucha Libre Experience In Cozumel, Tacos And Margaritas

1000% fun! Quite loud, so be prepared for that, but the show was amazing and silly and excellent all around. Good interactions with the audience, good lighting and video extras, good choreography, etc. The tacos were almost as amazing (and they were great!)

We had a blast at Barrecitos Luchador wrestling show! The wrestlers were amazing and did a lot of improvising to include the audience. We shouted ourselves hoarse and then were treated to a tasty taco lunch with margaritas!

What a surprise….. my expectations were so low…. But I was pleasantly surprised …. The team but on a great show, food, facility….. all put together with good performers 10 out of 10

I booked this for a cruise port stop in Cozumel with my family, my husband and two boys (4 & 8). We had THE BEST time here!!! It was very fast and easy to get to, the place was clean and well prepared for us, no waiting right to our seats with a drink! We got he kids a couple waters and snacks and they were very reasonably priced. The show started and we were engaged and entertained from the jump!! They did intros and a match a short intermission and a grand finale match. All the guys were fun and interactive. They played it up for the crowd, they went into the crowd! It was loud and crazy and so so so much fun!! My boys were yelling the whole time!! We all agreed it was the best cruise excursion we've ever done together. We got the tacos included too and they were delish! You get a chicken, steak and pork taco and another drink. Delish! Then another quick five min ride to the port. Easy peezy ! Would do again in a heartbeat!

Just go! This show was so much fun and they are all so friendly and accommodating. This is an activity that brings more enjoyment if you allow yourself to let go and have fun. The luchadores interact with the crowd (respectfully). Pros: - clean - arena is air conditioned - souvenirs fairly priced (the masks were often lower than other places) *pro tip- you can take a taxi if you have people in your group that don’t like walking or small children. It if you want to save some $, or just like to walk and see the town, It was very close to the Royal Caribbean and carnival cruise lines that were docked. We walked and it took maybe 10 minutes (less than a mile). It’s on the road that is directly outside the port- super easy. We had time so we strolled along the shops as we went which was fun. When you are getting close it feels like you may be walking into nothing, but it’s there, don’t worry!

2nd time experiencing Luche Libre, but still equally as entertaining! Crying with laughter within minutes! Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Mexico. Tacos and Tequilas was a fantastic street food type experience in really pretty surroundings. Gift shops were also stacked with authentic souvenirs and tequilas. Lovely welcoming staff, who really went over and above to make us feel welcome and looked after.

If you come into cruise port, dont way in the taxi line walk all the way out of the court across the street catch a taxi there or you can walk. It is extremely close.

We booked this outside of the cruise ship. Was cheaper this way, only issue was we had to get a taxi to and from but was very easy to do. $20 each way for 5 of us. Experience was awesome. Arena is air conditioned, wasn’t expecting that, so even on the hottest day you are cool watching the matches. Highly recommend my kids loved it

We visited Lucha Libre and we had an incredible time. The team is friendly, they started on time, organized, and an incredible show. The entire location was very clean and spacious. The transportation service from the cruise ship to their location and back was extremely safe and professional. Our driver’s name was Sergio González very professional and kind. I highly recommend this entire experience and hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family did!

SO MUCH FUN! It was an easy transfer from the cruise port. It was actually walkable from the port our boat docked but we hopped in the van for a quick ride. They greet you with margaritas and during the show there is a snack stand on both sides where you can purchase other drinks (alcoholic and non) along with snacks. The show is engaging, fun and funny. They get the whole audience involved. Afterwards they give you really good but small snack size street tacos. I’m a vegetarian and they have that option if you request it. Even though we know how the show goes we would actually go back and do it again. It’s worth the money.

Fun experience; it's worth your time and money; very entertaining for the whole family. At the end, you get to talk to the wrestlers and take pictures with your phone. If you didn't get the package with drinks, they still give you a courtesy small Jamaica drink. The place is air conditioned and the restrooms are clean.

Our family had the best time at the Lucha Libre Experience. My daughter was skeptical about going, but just said the other night she would go again. My grandson loved it. The wrestlers get the crowd involved and we had interactions with them during the show which was fantastic. If you go, sit on the front row!!!!!!!!!

My son and I had an amazing time. Would recommend to all ages. If you love wrestling then will love this. We booked with a cruise ship excursion. Awesome experience and very reasonable for the entertainment provided.

We were on a carnival cruise in cozumel and we went to see lucha libre. They gave us free mask and took lots of pics with us. Just steps away from the cruise terminal. The show was a lot of fun 😊

Such a fun experience! Exactly what we expected - fun and entertaining! Fun Mexican wrestling, complete with a ring announcer, and Taco the referee! Lights and sound effects were great too. Smaller, intimate arena with close seating and the wrestlers come into the audience. Tacos were small but delicious! A margarita was served before the show and one afterwards with opportunity to buy more drinks/snacks before/during and after show. The location is a little south of the Puerta Maya pier. We docked from cruise at Punta Langosta and took a taxi to Barriecito - $15 total and about a 10-15 min drive. There’s a small craft store at Barriecito but not much else to do there so no need to get there early unless you want to buy an extra margarita or tacos. Definitely a fun time!

This was such a fun experience if you're looking for something other than beach/water/boats. It's VERY well organized and the facility is really beautiful and fun. The show is awesome and hilarious! The provided tacos were DELICIOUS. My only complaint is that the provided food and drink was minimal for the money. The "margaritas" provided were just lemonade, and other snacks and drinks cost extra which wasn't clear when booking. For the price (we paid $100/person) I would have liked a bit more included. Or maybe offer pricing options that don't include alcohol, especially when traveling with minors.

So much fun! Great experience to do if you do not want to participate in a water based excursion. This experience was very fun and amusing. My husband and daughters enjoy wrestling, I do not but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The venue was nice and clean. The wrestlers were awesome! The show was awesome! The wrestlers even made the crowd feel like they were part of the action. Definitely recommend!

This was the highlight of our vacation! We had so much fun cheering & booing & laughing throughout the show! We will go back the next time we are in Cozumel! What a blast!

Just got back from Royal Caribbean cruise, with a stop in Cozumel, where my family and I were able to make a stop to watch “lucha libre (Mexican wrestling).” I can’t say enough about this experience. It was SO much fun! The entire family had a great time (my wife, son (15 y.o.) and I)!!! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The wrestling wasn’t “just” wrestling… …it was an entire production with lights and background graphics that supported the wrestlers, the MC and the story. The location itself was within walking distance of the International Port (1o0 minutes tops). The wrestling complex was beautiful and well maintained with outdoor seating areas, gardens, and various small buildings that one moved through. They had a great bar as well a great gift-shop and al of the facilities, including bathrooms, were very clean and well maintained. I can’t say enough about this experience! 10 out of 10 recommend. I would def go back.

One of the highlights of our cruise to the Caribbean. Family friendly and very entertaining. It was a mix of athleticism and humour and very interactive with the audience. Loud, colourful and high energy. Great for wrestling fans and non-fans alike. Good was good, drinks were good. Highly recommend!

We had the best time watching the Lucha Libre show. We laughed & cheered the whole time. It even entertained my hard to please tween daughter. We would come back in a heart beat!

The margaritas were okay, the tacos not so great, but the wrestlers were pretty darn good. Even my wife, who doesn't like wrestling, enjoyed the experience. Definitely fun for kids and adults alike. They also sell the luchadore masks on site, and have a photo opportunity with the wrestlers after the show.

Such a great family outing for us and our teens. They got so involved in the show and the staff and wrestlers are such a good time. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun easy activity that leaves lots of time to explore the port and city. This is walking distance from the cruise terminal, maybe 7 minutes. Not well marked if you’re looking for Lucha Libre; you want to look for Barriecito restaurant as they are same building.

The greatest excursion at this port. The wrestlers and staff react to how loud you are and involved you get. We will be coming back regularly. Extremely reasonably priced and is the perfect amount of time. All ages are welcome and the crowd is the perfect size to make you feel like your input matters.

Went there recently for my first cruise with a Royal Caribbean Marina of the sea. As a long time wrestling fan this was amazing lots and lots of fan interaction. The show was also amazing highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this enough. Great value for the money and a darned entertaining time. Get your free mask signed at the meet and greet and I nice picture to take home. Plenty of souvenirs to buy and the have tacos and tequila to buy.

We were looking for a unique experience and found it! We were able to walk from the Carnival cruise ship. It was about a mile and easy walk that took us by some of the other shops. The Barriecito is a very nice property with a cute gift shop and tequila tasting. But we entered and were greeted by a friendly staff. The wrestling show was awesome and interactive! They even came out of the ring and fought in front of us. My husband felt like a kid again. After the show we had a yummy taco lunch and were offered margaritas or a non-alcoholic hibiscus drink. I highly recommend this experience. Great for families, couples, groups of friends.

This was way better than we expected! It was hilarious and entertaining! The facilities were very clean, the tacos were delicious, and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. It was our favorite excursion.

We absolutely LOVED everything about this experience!! It was a quick, easy walk from the cruise port. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The show was AMAZING!! (We have 6 teen boys and they all loved it!!) It was entertaining and interactive. We have been to Cozumel 3 times now and this was absolutely the best thing we've ever done there. If you're at all interested in this sort of thing, I encourage you to book it. You will not be disappointed.

We booked this experience through Royal Caribbean as our excursion for our stop in Cozumel and I HIGHLY recommend it. It's a smaller venue and there was fantastic crowd interaction the entire time. My whole family was into it, even my 16 y.o. daughter. This was a unique and fun cruise excursion, different from the usual beach club or zip lining. You won't regret booking this!

We enjoyed the show!! The entire experience kept the full family enthralled, and the food and drinks were tasty. I would recommend this to anyone who is considering. A tip for those who are considering, the location is an easy walk from either the Royal Caribbean or Carnival cruise docks. A taxi would be the way to go if docked at Punta Longosta near downtown. There is no need to buy a ship excursion, and from what I can tell we were able to skip a tequila factory tour by purchasing on Trip Advisor.

The show is pure entertainment lots of fun. I went with my wife and daughter who were not really wrestling fans, but they thoroughly enjoyed the show. The venue is air-conditioned and really well put together. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend if you’re able to fit into your schedule. The venue is a short 10 minute walk from the cruise port.

We had an absolute blast. From the announcer, to the ref, and the incredible wrestlers, everything was beyond our expectations. The interactions with the wrestlers during the matches added to our experience. We walked away laughing and so happy we chose this activity.

Instead of a traditional Thanksgiving, this year we took our adult children and a friend on a five-night cruise from Galveston to Costa Maya and Cozumel. Instead of sedately eating turkey, dressing, and pie on Thanksgiving Day, we were cheering and booing the luchadores (wrestlers) ringside in Cozumel. The audience was into it big time, and although I'm a bookish 70-year-old grandma who knows nothing about Lucha Libre, I got swept up in the excitement myself. The characters, costumes, and the crowds' reactions dazzle the senses. The magaritas were great, or you could get juice if you didn't want alcohol. The tacos were good, too, in small corn tortillas with pork, chicken or beef, and toppings like pineapple, onion, cilantro, lime and various sauces -- all quite different from the Tex-Mex cuisine of home. But this is why we travel, and everyone in our group had a really good time.
