second time coming back to Cozumel and meeting again with our folks! We were looking last year for cozumel catamaran tours and we called this company and we had such a great time that we promissed we would be back with more friends and family. we were a total party of 16 between adults, youngsters and veterans and everyone loved this tour. Tour guides were nice and friedly as i remember they were last time. On our last stop we enjoyed drinks together and had some pictures taken. We'll be back next year

At the start of this tour I figured there would be No way I would post anthying but a 1-2 star review, but the crew actually did a nice job of pulling off a decent day on the water, so gonna bump it back to a 4. Biggest issue is the boat. The one on the photo is NOT the boat they took us out on, in fact its nothing close to the boat we went out on. They said nothing at all about it to us, just loaded us up in a much smaller clunker of a boat and off we went. Had they mentioned something or even acknowledged the bait and switch I probably would have not been so upset, but it was a shock at the start. I was looking for both a Snorkel and Sail experience, this boat had a shade of some kind permanently blocking the sail, so basically it was a snorkeling shuttle and not as advertised. Now, gotta add the good parts, the snorkeling was actually very good and the guides were very nice on the water. The deeper spot was great to explore and the star fish area was good as well. Cielo enjoyable and there seemed to be no shortage of beverages and food, so no complaints there. Overall a little better communication or at least acknowledge what you are paying for ahead of time would have gone a long way.
This was a lot of fun! The crew was great and very friendly. The guided us to the reef areas and we saw beautiful fish, starfish, and swam with stingrays.
To be clear, we wanted to rank it 4.75 out of 5! This trio was very attentive and kind. There was 14 of us on a catamaran together and this was much better than the larger groups! We were able to see lots of fish and enjoy the boat ride. The snack of ceviche, guacamole, and fruit was superb! Oliver even danced with our group - we thoroughly enjoyed the day. All around, highly recommend.
Lots of fun, great crew took care and f us and we saw some good stuff - ray and sharks
Our captain, Fernando, was amazing! He made sure we all stayed together as a group once in the water. I felt like we had a good amount of time at each of our 3 stops. The food that was served was simple but delicious! We saw so much sea life!!
The meeting location that I was sent was incorrect. My reservation said meet at the Marina. The boat actually picked up at The Money Bar. We had to pay for another boat to take us to meet up with the tour. Also we did not go to El Cielo, we went to El Cielito.Other than that the crew and the trip was great.
Fun captain and crew. It was a great time.
Really good tour, in comparison of other that we have done during our trip. Small group and super well managed. You feel that they gives you attention even if there is a lot of people. The Colombian reef is just incredible, we have seen sharks, turtles, lobsters and a variety of fish. The second steep in the clear water with the stars and the Ray it’s super cool for people who have apprehension of the deep. Because the sand it’s only at few meters. And the final destination, is incredible, one of the best beach I’ve seen in my life. Lots of ray, and the skipper have made an amazing ceviche. Thanks for everything ( just be careful, sun screen are not available, even the eco friendly one. So be careful, he have been burn because of the sun )
Overall we all enjoyed the trip very much (6 of us including 2 children). Pros: - Very friendly and helpful crew - One crew member hand made Salsa, Guacamole. and ceviche for everyone. Very good - Location is visited by a lot of boats but it is still a very nice reef - Not with the huge groups from the cruise ship. More personal - Great margaritas Cons: - Tripadvisor has the wrong time, so we were 45 minutes early - Catamaran is on old sailboat converted to power. Typical Mexican junky boat - $40 with tip cab ride from downtown cruise port
Great time. Didn't see as many turtles as we wanted but may have been time of year. Drinks dancing and snorkeling! Woo
We had a great time and saw many animals/fish! I highly recommend! The staff are fun and friendly too.
Goodness, where to begin? First of all, if you are driving, just know it a bit of a process to enter the marina and to park. Allow for an extra 15 minutes or so. Next , they don tell you what or who to look for, so make a note to look for “MayBe Tours” office to check in. And then, you wait.. and wait, and wait. We booked our tour for 9:30am. Our group was not met at the docks for pick up until around 10:20am or so. No explanation. No apology. No acknowledgement that we had all been waiting for over an hour (they require you to arrive 15 minutes early). Once we were out in the water, things were mostly fine. One thing though is that one of the women requested a bottle of water. Unfortunately, the bottle had been refilled— with SALT WATER! 😳 She was shocked! The guides were kind and attentive. Bottom line, the price is good but it comes with a cost. By the way, this is my second time on this tour with this company. My experience 3 years was much. Better— and it was a better boat as well.
We had a great time- the team on the boat was wonderful. Knowledgeable, super sweet, and friendly. We had a great day on the water. Surprised about some of the negative reviews. I guess there are different boats and guides. We were so pleased with this trip.
The option to swim without the life preserver and free dive was very good. I thought that water should have been offered throughout the trip but it was only offered towards the end at El Cielito. The crew really skimped on the beer and food. I only had two small cans of beer; that is all that was offered, and one fruit drink. For the price I paid I did not get my moneys worth.
A good experience. We saw starfish, turtles, stingrays, lobster, and many other fish. The weather/water was a little rough but the Capitan made the ride relatively smooth.
We had a great day! The staff was very attentive and made sure everyone was okay and having a great time. They even had a photographer who took pictures of all families on the boat as well as during the various activities. We enjoyed the variety of snorkeling experiences that we had on this trip: reef snorkeling where we saw all kinds of tropical fish, including a barracuda, lobsters and sea turtles. We swam to "the wall" - the edge of one of the reefs where the bottom of the sea disappeared some 4000 feet below us. Not to worry though, we were all equipped with orange vests to keep us afloat at all times. After the reefs, we were taken to another snorkeling place, this time with sandy bottom. That was where we saw large starfish. They were just as beautiful as in the pictures. Lastly, we went to a waist-deep area of the beach Cielito, where we could walk among gliding sting rays. The staff handed us a "snack", which was actually a nice lunch: a plate of ceviche, salsa, tortilla chips, and watermelon. They set up a floating bar where we could get cold beer, juices or water. That was phenomenal! The water was super clear everywhere. We got back to the marina around 2:30 pm Another great day in Paradise!
Although we did get to snorkel our excursion was supposed to include a beach club that we did not get to go to. We only booked this excursion because it said beach club after snorkeling. Half of my group only went on this because of a beach club.
The spots we stopped at were beautiful and had lots to see. The guide in the water made sure to have us follow him to see all the cool life on the bottom of the sea. Turtles, stingrays and starfish did not disappoint
The trip was perfect! We were on a smaller boat with just a dozen people, which turned out to be an absolute delight. Our guide Joel and our Captain, Filiberto were a great team with a ton of knowledge. They knew EXACTLY where to take us to see much more than we expected. We saw nurse sharks, sea turtles, rays and giant star fish! We will definitely come back next year! MAY- BE - TOURS hit it out of the park for us!
Boat was very nice, didn’t feel safe with one staff diver for entire group. Especially in choppy water. Many were holding onto the one life preserver. Only food was chips and guac - not as advertised. Drinks very weak and watered down. What made it all worth while were the beautiful waters at El Cielo. Visit Cozumel yearly and will not book this company again.
This was not a snorkel experience since they provided no fins! Just a mask and snorkel. Also, pretty sure one of the reefs we went to was dead :/ Not a catamaran either…a sad old boat. Overpriced. Only redeeming aspect was the sandbar at the end with some booze and ceviche. 10/10 would not go!
Absolutely amazing. Crew was so informative and so nice. They made our trip. Boat was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend
We were very excited to go on this highly rated excursion yesterday (3/29/24), but the tour operators at May Be Tours were unable to take us out due to the marina being closed due to high winds. It was otherwise a sunny beautiful day in Cozumel, so this caught all of us by surprise. Our cruise ship (and all other cruise ships) were able to dock in Cozumel. It was just that the smaller marina that this tour operates out of was closed due to the wind. This cancellation was due to the weather and out of the control of the tour operators, so I’m not holding the cancellation itself against them. Nevertheless, I need to give them poor marks due to the terrible communication about the cancellation. While they can’t control the weather, they can control their communication. First of all, no party on our excursion were notified ahead of time that the tour was cancelled. We all found out only when we arrived at the marina after paying $20-$30 each way for a taxi ride. They likely knew first thing in the morning that the marina was closed, especially since a different tour company on site told me that the marina was closed the day prior as well due to the weather. They should have notified us via email so that we wouldn’t have to waste a bunch of money getting to/from the marina. Seriously, every party involved in this cancelled excursion are out $50-$60 each purely because they couldn’t bother to tell us ahead of time that the excursion was cancelled. There’s nothing else to do near the marina either, so it was quite literally a $50 taxi ride to nowhere and back for us. Second, we arrived 15 minutes early for our 9:30am excursion like we were told, but were not informed by the captain about the cancellation until 9:45am. There were at least 4 groups on this tour who were all forced to just sit outside and wait for an update. Apparently they thought the marina might open back up, but it didn’t. Finally, we were promised refunds but have yet to be refunded 24 hours later. We’ll see how long it’ll take to actually get our refund, but I would not be surprised if I have to file a claim with my credit card company to get that money back. ($400+ for our family of 5!) I’m sure this excursion would’ve been great had we been able to go. May Be Tours just needs to improve their customer service for those times when weather conditions force a cancellation of the tour.
This is one of the most amazing places I've ever seen. The tour is FUN and beaty. We had so great time. The guides were super nice and took us on a both to see the sea stars. The kids got so exited.
That was terrible excursion and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. The guys on a catamaran were good, but the places to snorkel were we stopped were not interesting, there were just few fishes and stars, no corals, no other interesting things. Then, I've noticed that something happened to the motor on catamaran and I asked twice if we will be able to get back. The captain and another worker told me that everything will be fine, don't worry, we will be back on time. At the end, they dropped us off almost 1 hour from the place where they suppose to and they said that we can take a taxi to the ship to be back on time. Plus to that, they asked if we want to contribute anything to them!!! The name of the catamaran Zeus, the name of the company which provided the service Maybe Tour ( I should pay attention to the name of this company at the beginning - "maybe". I do not recommend to anyone, specially people who is travelling by ship and needs to be back on time. We were very upset with this tour.
DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR!! We took a taxi from our hotel in Riviera Maya to the ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen, took the ferry ride over to Cozumel, then took another taxi from the ferry terminal to Maybe Tours office location. We spent a lot of money getting there, only to be told nonchalantly that the tour was cancelled. No advanced notice. No offer to reimburse us for the travel expense to get there. They simply did not care and there was no reason given. The weather was also perfect! Not windy or anything. I would stay away from this tour company.
A fabulous excursion with David and the crew. Weather was perfect, water was just right and the snorkeling couldn't have been better. Topped it off with great civeche and beverages. Couldn't have been more impressed. Great job to all and thank you for the highlight of our trip!! Jeff & Terri, Willis TX
Beautiful snorkeling, wonderful lunch, great crew. Happy that we could be picked up at our hotel pier. Great experience!
Captain and crew did great in windy conditions. Friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Snacks were tasty! Beer was cold. Fun group on board.
i’m only writing a review because we were almost discouraged about going on this tour because of a negative review that we came across, but i’m glad we ended up going on this tour, the staff were great! they even gave us more than enough ceviche after already getting served once. if you’re looking to have a good time and not spend as much. this is the place. they even have unlimited beverages(beer, margaritas, and plenty of water.
Don’t believe the positive reviews listed, they pass around a note book and ask everyone to fill in their name and email address. I believe they then write the reviews themselves, first time I have been left very disappointed following TripAdvisor reviews 1. They didn’t serve the food that was listed 2 they didn’t take us to the beach bar as listed on the itinerary but said they would drop us off and leave us there if we wanted 3 bathroom on board the boat was overflowing with poop and pee but they still kept sending people down to use it 4 boat broke down and we sat on the water for 45 min waiting for a fix
I would not recommend this to anyone. We did not go to el coeliac as they said it was closed which it was not!!!! Also we kept asking about the beach club and they did not take us. Totally awful. So disappointing. Never again!!! Vistor needs to do a better job with due diligence. After this terrible experience I will never take another tour with them.
Amazing crew! Had a beautiful day and the places were spectacular! The snacks and beverages were good!
The tour started 1 hour late. They took us snorkeling at two really nice places. The issue is, in the tour description, they promised a beach club visit, ceviche, and more, but that didn't happen. We only got a bit of guacamole and the margaritas weren't great either. Not meeting the tour description isn't fair to the customer.
We had a great experience with this crew. They picked us up from the beach club we had access to with the excursion. We went to about 4 great snorkel sites. We saw many fish, turtle and rays. The ceviche and guacamole at the sand bar was a highlight!! We did the afternoon tour and got to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the ride home. The crew was fun and informative and we even had a photographer on board who took some Great pictures of our kids.
This is not your average cozumel snorkel tour and we’re happy is not! Day was great, snorkeling was top notch and guacamolee was to crave for! it is good enough to have what you pay for but it feels better to notice there are still people who love what they do. We’ll definitely be back with friends and bring more business to these guys.
We love México and it's people. These guys turned our Cozumel snorkeling trip into a lovely memory. Everyone was friendly specially Oliver who was there to help everyone and assited our Kids with guidance all the way. This was a fabulous snorkeling tríp for everyone.
5 stars cozumel snorkeling trip. They say third time is a charm how about fifth time. We love this company and the staff is like family to us as we’ve been coming back to Cozumel and this is our catamaran tour by choice. We had fun as always keep up the good work guys!
Fun in the Mexican sun is how we describe this wonderful catamaran trip. The guides were eager to help us everytime we needed it considerering we are no avid snorkelers but do enjoy swimming from time to time. The snorkeling sites were amazing and we saw huge turtles and even swam with one on them. El cielito beach was the best as water was calm and shallow and rays were passing by -they were totally harmless. Drinks and snacks were passed on and everything was right on point .The nicest crew and the best tour on the island
There is NO beach club. It is false advertising! I would have given a better rating if it was only for the wildlife experience but had to give a poor rating due to the false advertising and the fact that I paid for pictures that were taken and NEVER received. I would not be able to recommend this excursion to anyone due to that.
Great for a day of boating. Tour did not put the sail up. Saw very few fish. 1 or 2 turtles on the bottom. Seen more scuba divers than fish 🐟 😂 Food and drink were ok.
The 3 Star rating has nothing to do with tour guides. The tour guides were fantastic. The snorkeling experience was pretty amazing. I really think the experience could’ve earned a 5 Star rating if the beverages and meal provided were a little better set. The beer was the absolute cheapest money can afford. Everything was placed on a surf board in the water which is cool, but for the number of people it wasn’t enough. To be honest I lost my appetite watching the rest of the guests hoard the ceviche down. The group was small, maybe 15 people, but not enough food. Some people wouldn’t move or make space for others to enjoy some ceviche. It would have been better if they served that on the boat like a buffet table. The tour guides did a great job. I’d do this experience again, but I’d take my own lunch. This was a last minute decision and this snorkeling tour was the only option left so I purchased it. Perhaps next time I will compare with others ahead of time and see what it’s like. The catamaran was clean and very well kept. No issues there. Probably the cleanest boat out there. I would recommend, but with that little lunch/snack detail. I would recommend to the tour Tortuga Club to provide better quality alcohol and make a price adjustment. Also, the serving of the food on the surf board is a cool idea, but only if you’re serving drinks and fruit. Ceviche and chips would be better enjoyed individually on the boat.
Staff were amazing but afternoon snorkel does not include beach club, this doesn’t change the price at all and felt deceiving given the title
It's supposed be a Catamaran, snorkeling, and beach access. When we got there, we were told a family canceled and the catamaran was not available due to not enough participants. We could either cancel or take a small boat with no Ceviche, Margaritas, or sodas. They never took us to the Beach Club. A discount was offered but it's not what we signed up for. Be careful with MayBeTours. Maybe you get the tour you want and MayBe not. What we did get was three great snorkel stops to see the coral reef, turtles, and starfish. Our tour guides did a good job. Our final stop was at the sand bar where we had guacamole and beer.
Don't expect to show up to an available catamaran. Arrived and they said the boat was booked for a private group so they could not honor our reservation. So they put us on a different tour for a nominal refund, but failed to tell us that is was an entirely different package. Just skip this and enjoy your Cozumel time elsewhere.
Our trip was fun and snorkeling was great with good equipment. We didn’t however make it to the beach club for some reason, but I can’t say that necessarily detracted from the overall experience. The crew was fun and helpful.
We had a good time, but I feel like this was marketed incorrectly. The description says unlimited drinks, but the drinks were offered until the very end of the excursion. Also, the fact that you can’t put on sunscreen was not shared, until after the boat left the dock. Three members of our party got terrible sun poisoning. Blistering, almost hospitalized. Horrible experience for them. Also, the beach club is rundown and nothing is included. And there’s not much of a beach.
AMAZING TIME! My husband and I booked this excursion while our cruise was docked in Cozumel. We had such a great time, the snorkeling was spectacular. I wish I had known we could buy pictures. They had a photographer taking pictures of us with the wildlife. It was $55 USD for the entire package but I did not have enough cash on me to buy them:( The crew made us feel very welcome even though we were the only Americans. Even though I can speak Spanish they made us feel very comfortable by explaining everything in English for us. The crew we had was Luis, Oliver, Matilde and Jose. The fresh ceviche, pico de Gallo and guacamole was amazingggg. We had such a great time! Although, there was no beach club but we were totally fine with that!
This was our absolute favorite excursion. The crew was friendly, professional, and fun. The snorkeling areas were in the bluest, clearest, water I’ve ever seen in my life. The sea life was beautiful. There was a photographer on board that took amazing underwater photos that we will always treasure. The chef cut up all of the fruits & veggies for fresh guacamole, pico, and ceviche during our beach stop. It truly was a PERFECT day!!!
