Don’t miss it!! Incredible Cleanest beach 🏖️ ever seen, amazing 🐟 fish & extraordinary friendly Manta Ray all over
Excellent guides and amazing snorkeling! We saw giant turtles, sharks, a starfish bed and lots of beautiful stingrays!
Fantastic day on the water. Our guide was amazing, We were able to see, turtles, a baby shark and several other species of fish. Every one was comfortable and we got lots of pictures.
Great experience. Can’t say enough. Saw turtles and they found sharks and an eel and got them to come out so we could swim with them. Highley recommend.
This was such an incredible snorkeling experience, it definitely gets to be on the top of our most memorable experiences. Ricky, our tour guide, was fantastic at leasing us through the coral and showing us the different kinds of fish. He was so happy to show us around and was always so animated and friendly. He took us to four different snorkeling spots and they didn’t disappoint. We saw sting rays, sharks, barracudas and lots more. Christina took some amazing pictures of us snorkeling, she was super sweet too. Miguel was our captain and was happy to talk to us too. I loved this excursion so much, I’ll be coming back with my friend in February.
I booked this snorkeling trip for myself and my family. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler and everyone had a wonderful time. Ricky and Christina were both great with the baby and were so nice! We felt very safe with the Captain who was clearly extremely competent and was very nice and funny and accommodating. We were visiting Cozumel with a cruise and it was an easy and quick cab ride from the port to the marina where the tour left from. We visited 3 different snorkeling spots and Ricky was an amazing guide, spotting a sea turtle, baby reef sharks, lobsters and more. We saw so many different species of sea creatures and the water was gorgeous. We ended at a shallow area where we were able to stand in waist high water and bring the baby in to float around while stingrays swam by our feet. The captain prepared fruit and ceviche for us and served it to us on a float so we could enjoy it in the water along with water, soda and beers which were all included. Christina took amazing photos of us which, to be honest, were a little overpriced to purchase, but we had such a nice day and the photos were so good that we ended up buying them anyway. Our boat wasn’t fancy, but it was very comfortable for 5 adults plus the 3 crew members and we felt very safe. I’d highly recommend this tour for any group that wants to do some excellent snorkeling with good company and a relaxing and fun lunch.
Guide and Captain were great. Very informative. Professional and focus on making sure your experience is wonderful. Great boat. Water, beers, juices and great ceviche made fresh with totopos. They take their time let you be in the water as long as youd like. They look for the marine life to make sure you see it. Turtles, barracudas, stingrays, fishes, nurse sharks you name it. Worth every penny! Iran and Gustavo were great. Do it!
My husband and I had a fantastic snorkeling trip for our family of six! Our four kids ranged from ages 21, 17, 13 and 11. We had three from the snorkeling team on the boat with us. One drove the boat, another was our guide in the water and the other took amazing photos of us in the water and on the boat. They made a fresh and delicious lunch of ceviche, pico de gallo and cantaloupe with chips and beverages (water, juice and Mexican beer). First we sailed out two reef areas where the guide helped navigate us in the clear blue water to see colorful fish, sea turtles, lobster, small harmless reef shark, and more! Then we went to a third stop just off of El Cielo to see an abundance of starfish and free dive to the bottom for some great action photos. Finally, we went to El Cielo beach where we enjoyed our lunch and drinks in the white powdery sand and clear blue water while sting rays swam right past us! We purchased the photos/videos they took and it’s the best souvenir spent seeing our family’s adventure! The whole family was so happy with the trip. You will love your time as much as we did!!!
We had a great time and the ceviche was delicious! We saw a shark, a sea turtle, tons of starfish and sting rays. We felt safe the whole time. Well worth the price, especially for our family to have a private boat. This is my second time doing this excursion in Cozumel. Highly recommend!
Water was choppy that day. We saw 1 type of fish, 1 starfish and at the sandbar we saw sting rays. Staff was friendly and the freshly made guacamole and pico de gallo was delishes.
Great tour. Captain Rambo and first mate Rafael were the best. Christian was there to capture every second on film for a lifelong memory. Great ceviche and cerveza afterwards. Highly recommend. These guys are great and super friendly
Just returned from an unforgettable private snorkeling tour in Cozumel with Maybe Tours, and WOW—what an experience! Huge shoutout to Alex, Jonathan, and our talented cameraman Jose for making this adventure absolutely incredible! 🌊🐠 Our family of four spent nearly four hours exploring the breathtaking reefs, and we were blown away by the vibrant marine life and stunning corals. Alex and Jonathan were phenomenal guides—knowledgeable, patient, and fun. They made sure we felt safe and comfortable while showing us the hidden gems of Cozumel’s underwater world. Jose captured the magic perfectly, so we can relive the adventure whenever we want. From colorful fish to amazing coral formations, this trip was everything we hoped for and more. If you’re looking for a personalized, unforgettable snorkeling experience in Cozumel, Maybe Tours is the way to go. Highly recommend them for anyone seeking a day full of fun, discovery, and world-class hospitality! 🌴✨
We loved having a private boat with ONLY our group on board. Guides were great, & lunch was delicious. There were LOTS of other boats on the water, so it was nice to have our own. We paid for the photographer & we’re very happy with the pics.
We had a terrific snorkeling experience! Jose, the captain and photographer were so nice and very professional. One of my friends was scared to snorkel, and they were so helpful and encouraging. They took us to 4 locations, each of which was unique and beautiful. We saw a big variety of marine life...it definitely exceeded our expectations. At the last stop they prepared fresh ceviche. It was delicious! They anchored a raft with juice, water, and beer so we could snack and enjoy a drink in the water. It was delightful. It was a highlight of our trip!
We did this trip in late May. We had a few struggles. The guides were REALLY interested in the young girls who joined our family of 7. The waves made it such that we could not picnic, and that was a bummer. The guides served it anyway in an area that was weird. We got out of the boat in some gross mud and tried to eat and have drinks. There was not enough water—I wished we had brought water with us. The fresh guacamole was ruined by a wave. :( Anywho, we listened to very very loud music all the back, and we were pretty desperate to just get off the boat. Good news: we saw wonderful starfish; we saw a few turtles, and we saw an eagle ray jump out of the water on the way back. So we were delighted! I would seek a better outfit in the future.
We were running late but the team allowed and accommodated our time frame. Great service and care from Carlos and the boat captain. Excellent snorkeling sites as well.
We went with Maybe Tours and did the private boat for 7. Carlos our guide and Gustavo were excellent. Best ceviche ever and we saw EVERYTHING- swam with Sea Turtles, Carlos knew where baby sharks slept and enticed them out, also an eel, starfish and lots of stin rays. 10/10 and would definitely do again!!
They saved our trip!! We got weather delayed and they were so easy to communicate with to reschedule and even picked us up from a different location. Hands down the best snorkeling we have done!!! Our teens absolutely loved all the sea life we got to see! Sea turtles, starfish, sand dollars, stingrays, nurse sharks and soooo many colorful fish. Carlos and Joel took wonderful care of us and made sure we were not ship runners! We did the private tour and it was worth every penny plus a huge tip for them. Will definitely use them next time we make it to Cozumel.
Jose & Fernando were the best! Far exceeded our expectations! Stopped at 4 different spots with 4 unique experiences. Saw tons of fish, starfish, lobster, sea turtles up close, & even a nurse shark (harmless). Swimming with stingrays was probably our favorite part if we had to choose but it’s a tough call. You have to take a taxi from the cruise port but several are available & it was easy. Well run operation & they took underwater pictures which we purchased. All around 10/10! Boat is small which suited us just fine but probably not suitable for elderly or those with significant mobility issues. Would go again tomorrow if we could. A must do in Cozumel!
The reef and water do all the heavy lifting here. Manga and sting rays. Starfish. Sea turtles. A wide variety of fish. You can’t go wrong at hr first two stops especially. While stopped for a snack the kids dove after rays swimming by for an hour. Magical time. Kenji and Gustavo were excellent guides. Do it. You won’t regret it.
One of the BEST snorkel trips we've ever done. The guides knew EXACTLY where to find the sea life. We encountered sting rays up close, sea turtles, star fish, all sorts of fish, barracuda, nurse sharks, and so much more. Some of the most clear waters. Small word of caution, it was some of the roughest waters to snorkel in. We had ages 10 - 73. My 73 year old mom had to sit out a bit, and she's pretty fit and active. My 10 year old did great, but also had to rest some. Would highly recommend them!!
Beat our expectations. Super fun for all ages, saw all kind of marine life. Both the guide and captain were super attentive.
The team was so amazing! Very friendly and catered to us well with all four of our kids. They helped us with our smaller kids so we could enjoy snorkeling and see the fish, sea turtles, and sting rays. They even let us board early. Very nice people! Well worth the money!! They did supply everything we needed as well!
We had an amazing snorkeling trip, even though I’ve had trouble with snorkeling in the past. Very helpful staff and patient with me, since I had problems swimming fast enough to stay with the group. Got to see huge starfish, rays and lots of other fish. And guacamole with chips at the sand bar was fun. I’d do it again!
Our guides were wonderful and accommodating. We saw so much sea life, and ended surrounded by rays eating the most delicious boat-made ceviche.
guides were super nice and helpful, and accomodating with two small children. stayed in shallow area longer for the kids. saw fish and stingrays- had shade on boat ( no bathrooms so know in advance). a nice experience! marina is not at same place the ferry's dock from Playa del Carmen, so additional taxi is needed to get over to that marina. We didnt realize so more time was needed . About a 15 min. ride.
We had a great day with Migel and Angelo. The water was a bit rough but we managed ok. If you’re prone for motion sickness do take what works for you just in case. Migel was so nice and polite. He was eager to show us all the spots to view sea life. We saw fish a sea turtle starfish and rays. Angelo made us the best guacamole on the boat. Fresh !! He drove us back closer to the shore where it wasn’t as rough Had a fun day
We were VERY much looking forward to this trip from the other reviews. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to weather which we understood. The problem was that I didn’t get any notification before we went there and we had to pay to take a taxi there and back. When we arrived the office wasn’t open and no one could really tell us what was going on. At 10 when the tour was supposed to start, someone did show up and let us know it was cancelled. The shopkeeper next door was very helpful as well.
Our guides weee phenomenal! They took us to several reefs, making sure we had the opportunity to see as much marine life as possible. Our guide found starfish, nurse sharks, conchs, lobster, parrot fish, a green turtle and more. Our last stop at El Cielo was the most beautiful beach on the island by far. Enjoying the shallow water with a beer and fresh ceviche was icing on the cake. We would do this trip again and absolutely with the same captain and crew.
We had a fantastic few hours with Panky (snorkel guide) and Alberto (Captain). They were friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and we had the best snorkeling experience I have ever had. nurse shark, eagle ray, moray eel, sea turtle, star fish, conch, lobster … and then topped off by chips and homemade guacamole in the ocean while rays swam around us. Also got great underwater photos from Nedi. Marina is a short, safe 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal. Highly recommend
First off, the instructions on where to meet are incorrect. We walked to the circle drive listed at "Fortuna" and there was nothing in site. FInally reached the vendor who met up and we had to walk over toward the correct spot which was next to the pharmacy by the water. the trip to the 3 sites takes about 45 mins on the boat. it was pretty choppy/windy that day so the trip wasn't so pleasant. I felt this part of the trip took up the most time. We did go to 3 sites. The first snorkel site had barely any fish. The guide that jumped in the water with us had fish food in his satchel, and would pull some out occasionally so a small school of fish followed us. The reef seemed deserted, not the best snorkel spot. we did get to see a sea turtle which was amazing. The second spot was a star fish sanctuary. tons of them, beautiful, only spent about 15 mins here, b/c not much else to see. The final spot was really nice. it was a sandbar with sting rays swimming around. we got to just hang in the water, having some beers and they served the most amazing ceviche. Overall between the incorrect directions, a pretty disappointing fishless reef and a lengthy ride to and from that isn't clearly listed, this tour was just okay. our guide did jump in bc he was trying to sell us his gopro photos. not sure i would book this tour again.
We had a great time on this private tour. I totally recommend this trip. The guides were very patient with us and found great spots for us.
Garrison and Wilbur are excellent! Great trip; best snorkeling trip in Cozumel. Private tour boat was excellent for our group of 6.
We had the best time with Jorge! He was kind & amazing with the kids! I wish I could remember our other guides name. He was awesome as well!
We had a family of seven that went snorkeling, and we were able to snorkel for a long time and see lots of great fish and some rays!
Carlos and Wilbur were excellent guides. Carlos knew all the hiding places so we saw a shark, turtle, stingray, skate, sea stars, barracuda and many fish. Getting to the Marina was an easy cab ride.
Fantastic trip. Harrison and Willie very professional yet very engaging. Great tour guides and felt safe both on the boat and in the water! Well worth the money!
Wonderful experience with Carlos and his crew! Probably one of the best snorkeling outings we’ve ever had. Don’t miss this excursion if you’re from a cruise.
My family, along with four other families, eagerly booked this tour six months in advance for our much-anticipated Christmas cruise. However, to our dismay, the tour was abruptly canceled today, leaving us bewildered and frustrated. Upon contacting the tour operator, we were informed that due to their policy, only one ship is allowed to depart at the same time each day. While I understand the necessity of policies, it was disheartening that this information was not communicated to us earlier, especially given the lengthy lead time before our scheduled departure. As a result of this last-minute cancellation, we found ourselves scrambling to secure alternative tours, only to discover that many of the other desirable options were already fully booked. This unforeseen turn of events significantly impacted our holiday plans, leading to a disappointing and inconvenient experience. I recommend that the tour operator consider implementing more transparent communication practices to prevent such situations from arising in the future. This would undoubtedly enhance the overall customer experience and contribute to the success of their service.
not comparable to any we’ve done. We swam right with turtles, starfish, lobsters, barracudas, manta rays, eels, and fish of abundant varieties! Our hosts and photographer added to our experience! They spotted and shared so much marine life! It’s an unforgettable experience!
Are you kidding?? This excursion was not comparable to any we’ve done. We swam right with turtles, starfish, lobsters, barracudas, manta rays, eels, and fish of abundant varieties! This tour was the highlight of our cruise. Very reasonable price; much cheaper than private boat tours at any other cruise stop. My wife and I and 4 of our children did the tour. Snorkeling was fantastic. Our snorkeling guide Oscar was in the water with us at all times directing us toward the main attractions. We stopped in an area with a few sea turtles and were able to swim within a few feet of them. We snorkeled over a large deeper reef and then over a less extensive shallower reef with many many beautiful fish. I was very disappointed I did not have an underwater camera. It is a must for the next trip. About 90 minutes of snorkeling. It was 45 minutes from port to the snorkeling area. We also spent about 30 minutes at a shallow beach where we watched a number of large stingrays pass by and enjoyed complimentary beers, sodas and a delicious combination of ceviche, chips and melon. I can not say enough about Oscar, our snorkeling guide, who had an infectious enthusiasm about the natural beauty we encountered. Raul, our captain was equally fantastic. We took a taxi from our cruise port because it was about 3 miles from the celebrity pier. There was plenty of complimentary bottled water. We were happy to give them a well deserved tip
FYI: Cost for 7 people from cruise port to marina was $20 (so $40 round trip). Marina charged another $6 per person once we arrived which was expected but count your change as lady who was collecting the money didn’t give us correct change until I called it out. Boat broke down at first stop after we got in to snorkel, leaving us in the water for over an hour with no boat in sight. We didn’t get the private tour we booked as the boat that rescued us already had a family of 3 and crew of 3 on it. We were tired and cold after being left in water at first stop so long that not everyone even participated in the other stops. Didn’t see much wildlife and was disappointed in experience overall.
Miguel and Manuel were great. We saw lots of fish, turtles, stingrays, and lots of other marine life.
The boat crew were wonderful, very helpful, and knowledgeable. They made sure we were comfortable and had a good time. Would highly recommend. The snorkeling sites were good - saw lots of fish, sting ray, barracuda, and sea turtles.
This trip is worth recommending.. the whole team is very helpful. Oscar, Gerson and Raul are really pleasant and fun to be with.
HIGHLY recommend - our family took a private snorkeling trip and were so impressed with our guides, who were safe and well-educated about the marine life we saw. The pride they had in showing us their favorite dive spots was evident. Our oldest son is on the autism spectrum. He is an excellent swimmer, but our diver was also very patient with him and was in tune to check in with us to ask if we wanted to take a break or continue. Ending the trip on the sandbar was perfect. We will always book a private boat with El Cielo Cozumel on return trips.
This was the highlight of our summer! The team was so professional, patient & caring to our young little family. We did the private snorkel tour with our four and seven year old boys. The number of things we saw were so awesome: fish, coral, nurse shark, lobster, sea turtles, star fish, the sting ray sand bar. Omg. Hearing my little guys scream with excitement through their snorkels over the sea turtles was literally the most magical thing. Getting the taxi from port was super easy, and they were very aware of time. They got us back with plenty of time to shop at the port and reboard the ship before the early departure. The ceviche lunch was also so yummy on the sandbar. The team was so amazing and made made us feel safe with our two little dudes. Also I appreciate the option to purchase pictures for lifetime memories. Thank you guys again for such an amazing morning & core memories that will literally last a lifetime. Cozumel was our favorite cruise stop, thank you for showing us it’s beauty.
Such a fun day! Our guides were so kind and knowledgeable. Dock is about a 5 min taxi drive from cruise port, bathrooms/changing area avail at dock too. Apply reef safe sunscreen before arrival as you are not allowed to apply at the reefs. Bring a towel. Our items were kept up high to keep them dry. Lots of beautiful snorkeling with our family (kids ages ranged from 9-16). Last stop was at a swim area where everyone played in the water and the crew prepared delicious ceviche and provided drinks (beer, soda, water). One of our favorite excursions and definitely recommend.
