I paid $250 for my family to come here a full experience with the waterpark etc. firstly everything is miles apart you can get a tram to the beach but it takes you miles from the splash pad for my baby. My 6 year old couldn’t use the zipline (no age restrictions advertised on the website). I then go and lay on the beach ALL of the chairs are in the shade within minutes a lifeguard approaches me for moving my chair all of a metre out of the shade to tell me it isn’t allowed. Where do you pay to go to a beach where you can only lay in the shade? My friend was also approached by a waiter with the same issue wasn’t allowed to lay in the sun or move the chairs and no chairs in the sun. We have apparently come to Mexico to lay in the shade. Now for the all inclusive food and drink.. me sanchos is all served fresh from the menu with frozen cocktails etc this is all watered down and awful. I haven’t even tried the alcohol I can see enough from others drinks it all looks awful. I ordered a soda (2 options Pepsi and 7up) what came didn’t have an ounce of fizz in it it really was awful. I approached the bar who told me if I wanted a can of Pepsi I had to pay $3 after paying $250 to get in. I tried to resolve this with the manager advising we didn’t want to drink alcohol just wanted to be able to drink soda that was consumable (he even agreed that it was awful) but they offered me 5 cans of soda in 36c heat between my family of four so basically one can each. I asked for a refund and said I would book the beach only package for ¥49 and purchase my own food and drink but they also won’t help! Really terrible. My advice is stick to mr sanchos or paradise beach this is aesthetically beautiful but they have got I all wrong!

Great experience. Loved the pool and adult quiet beach Drinks were good. Food variety was good. Service was great. We usually like Paradise beach club but we will definitely come back to Kuza again. My only negative was the obnoxious music played by the pool. We prefer the music at Chill Beach much better. Fun day!!
It was storming and they closed everything we paid except for the food. Food was terrible and had bugs in tacos. We asked for a refund and was initially told to send email but response said no. It stormed all day and the beach water was brown up until chest. I will stick with paradise beach at least they have good food
Would definitely not recommend this excursion as it is not what it says it is. We got the all inclusive day pass that comes with water park, beach pass, zip line, buffet, and all inclusive alcohol day pass. We started the morning at the water park and couldn't get a waiter to even look our way. So I went to the bar and the bar tender told me that my all you can drink pass was only for the beach. I told him that I bought the all inclusive day pass and he said you can only use that in certain areas. So we then went to the beach and told the waiter there what had happened and he said they shouldn't have done that. Sergio the waiter at the beach was a lot better but by then we weren't really feeling it. Just be careful what you pay for with this place because to me I feel like it's a scam.
The park is nice and our server was awesome andres. But we got hurt on the slide my son did we fell out of the tube and he injured his leg and toe I hurt my knees and my elbows. We told the server we were heading to the beach he said to leave our stuff so we did we left for about a hour came back all of our stuff was GONE. They only found 2 tank tops….. then walked us out of the park I asked to be comped for my belongings over 100$ for of clothes and shoes. I asked for a ride back to the port because now at this point we’re late because it took them a while to check lost and found they told me no rushed me in a taxi and we left. Bar service was great food was not authentic Mexican food and other than service staff I was not thrilled in my experience. After spending 120$ to get to and from the port and 300$ on tickets and the tip we left I feel as if service from management hold have been better.
Here’s a cleaner, polished version that keeps your experience balanced and fair: We loved the resort, the service, and the convenience of having so many activities available in one place. I also really enjoyed the VIP package overall. The snorkeling tour to El Cielo was a highlight—it was absolutely beautiful! Overall, this is definitely a place I would visit again. There are two reasons for my four-star rating. First, transportation. We were visiting from a cruise, but I chose to purchase our package separately and directly through the operator so we could have access to all the different activities. We took a cab from the cruise port to the resort, and with tip, it was about $40 each way. That felt a little steep. I would love to see the resort offer a shuttle or negotiate a set transportation rate for cruise passengers who book directly. A more affordable transportation option would make the overall experience even better. The main reason for my four-star rating, however, was an incident on the water slide. My husband and I went down together on a double inner tube, and unfortunately, the tube tipped over. I got pretty banged up. Thankfully, nothing appears to be seriously injured, but I bruised the side of my head, chin, elbow, and shoulder, and cracked my toenail about halfway down the middle. It definitely shook me up. I’m not sure whether this happens often or whether it was simply user or operator error, but if I went again, I would probably choose to ride alone rather than on a double tube. If you decide to try the slide, just be careful. Despite that experience, we really enjoyed the resort and El Cielo. It’s a beautiful place with a lot to offer, and I would absolutely consider returning. I kept the slide portion factual without placing blame since you’re not sure what caused the tube to tip.
I booked this package because I was looking forward to the lazy river but when I got there it was closed I was quite upset because it cost me $35 each way for the taxi and all I was able to do was go in the water I don't do water slides. I feel that they should have had it put on their website and they should have emailed me to let me know and give me the option of cancelling. After speaking the money for the taxi I was not about to cancel, but next time it's me Sancho's at least I have options for pool or ocean and the food choices are much better at Mr Sancho's at kuzos they only had me Mexican. Never again will I go there.
Overall we had an amazing time especially compared to other beach options we have done before. We did the water park and beach and booked a month before we came. We had a few complaints, first the lazy river wasn’t open at all and that was the whole reason we booked the water park. Without the lazy river it’s if it a few slides. Never the less we had fun there. The food at the water park was slightly different from the beach and it was really good for us. We had also heard the drinks were bad but we loved the frozen drinks! The beach was amazing! There was no seaweed and minimal rocks and surprisingly to us there was a small reef and lots of fish and even lobster to see! One other caveat we had was we were told by the ticket lady we would get one water sport with our full experience pass whether it was storming, zip line, kayaking or jet ski. We really wanted to snorkel and come to find out it was actually an additional charge of $70 per person. We also tried to jet ski and it was also additional so not sure why they told us that. We wouldn’t of even minded not doing them if they didn’t already get us excited to do those activities. We arrived first thing in the morning and were the only people at the water park for at least 30 minutes which was nice. If you love a more secluded less people beach experience definitely go here! Unlike paradise there were very few people. Both water park and beach were pretty empty even with many boats in port. Overall we had a great time and especially for the price we would for sure book again!
Kuza beach club is very well maintained and beautiful. The beach is nice and there are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and natural shade from trees. The tram service from the entrance to the beach is efficient and easy to use. We found the employees to be nice and professional. No one was hustling us or hard-selling anything. Our only real complaint is the food. We were looking forward to an authentic Mayan-Mexican food experience. What we got was less appetizing than a frozen dinner.
The beach itself is beautiful. Service was pleasant . The walk is ridiculous. First everyone and mean the entire bus load were not happy with the walk to and from the drop off and pick up to the beach. They do have accommodation for those who cant walk that said there is zero reason a tram can not take people directly to the beach . In hot weather no one wants to climb 25 steps and walk a long path to the beach. Then down 25 syeps just to do it again There is a drivable path charge bit more and transport.
Horrible 😔. Flies on the food Not everything was included No wifi Drinks were horrible No lazy river
Great experience. Beautiful beach. Food was pretty good and drinks just kept coming. Cesar our bartender was great. Fast and friendly. Water park was a bit disappointing because only 2 slides were working and the lazy river was closed.
Kuzá is a relatively new day resort in Cozumel. I have been to every other similar day pass resort on the island over the years and I can say without a doubt, the value for money is here! We had the "Kuzá Full Experience" which included the beach access with umbrella and sun chairs, Unlimited drinks (and not watered down!), full buffet lunch and snacks, the beautiful water park as well as the huge Lagoon pools with swim-up bar, and also the ZIP lines as well as water activities such as snorkeling and kayaks. All this for only $8 dollars more per person than Mr. Sanchos with MUCH MORE included! 100% recommended! We will be back for sure!
The water park side is absolutely awesome! The water slides are fun, fast, and a blast. If there is one downside, it would be the lack of tubes and mats. During busy times, you can end up waiting for one or the other. The lazy river is very relaxing, but you can run into the same issue with finding a tube. The nice thing is that you can walk through it or float without a tube, so you can still enjoy the lazy river even when tubes aren't available. The pool and bar area are hands-down the best part for the money. The pool is massive, clean, and easily accessible for all ages. There is plenty of room to spread out, and the overall pool area is a great place to spend the day. The beach side was not a favorite of ours. While it was nice, there are a lot of trees and dunes that take away from the traditional beach experience. The buffet area was very well done, and the food was amazing. The biggest downside is the distance from the resort area to the beach. It is about a 10-minute walk, or only about 2 minutes if you can catch one of the golf carts. When we were there in August 2026, they only had two golf carts running, which caused some issues and made transportation to and from the beach more difficult. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The water park, pool, and bar area were definitely the highlights for us. If you're looking for a fun place with great water slides, a huge pool, and good food, the water park side is hard to beat. The beach was nice, but the distance and limited golf cart availability were the biggest drawbacks for us.
The beach here is stunning! Great service and the buffet was good. We took our older children who quickly got bored with the water park so we went over to the beach. Small kids would probably really enjoy the water park. Use the tram to go back and forth otherwise the walk is about 10-15 minute from the beach to the water park and it's hot! The massages were great! Take sunscreen because you will need it. We would recommend this park. Fair value for the money.
We went to Kuza in our NCL cruise from 8/2-8/9/26. We got the water park all you can drink and buffet. Let’s start with the pool, it was dirty and appeared not well maintained. We walked over to do the lazy river but there were tubes to use so we went back to the pool and to the swim up bar. The drinks were absolutely disgusting, they must have used the cheapest liquid possible. After about an hour we decided to take the tram to the beach, not alot of umbrellas but we finally found one. The water was absolutely gorgeous, turquoise and the temperature was perfect. After another hour or we worked up an appetite and went for the buffet. Let me say, I wouldn’t give this slop to my dog. Flies were flying around the food, dried chicken, beef and what looked like spaghetti. I did wait in line for a made to order quesadilla and was looking for sour cream, there was a bowl with what looked like white water which I guess was the sour cream, I didn’t see any guacamole nor did I see any salsa. There was one positive highlight and they was the waiter in the beach Guillermo. He was very attentive to all our drink needs, we paid for all you can drink but had to pay for bottled water. When leaving and boarding the bus my husband realized he left his phone on the beach so he took the tram back to the beach and Guillermo had picked up the phone. So overall the only 2 good things here was the beautiful ocean water and Guillermo, I personally would not do this excursion, look for something else.
not the experience I had expected......the water park was very nice as we got there early. sergio took very good care of us, but we found that the quality of the water was questionable after awhile. food was very disappointing both at the water park and at the beach. the only fresh item at the beach was the fried fish. even the quesidilla station was terrible. very crowded as well....typical of cozumel as this is the third time trying out these places and all three have been a dissapointment.
The water slides were wonderful! Checking in slow, they had only 1 person to do check in The younger children section was closed. The food was mediocre, and they nickel and dime you, a very limited section for food for the all inclusive, and then a per purchase section that was 20+ plus per item All food was pre made that was à la carte so it came out cool and dry. They offered fish and French fries , which it was not, it was fish and fried potato slices. I Even I asked about French fries they gave me attitude. Spending approx 350, I felt other resorts were better. No one offered pool service.
The beach was great! The taste of the food and selection of food was very poor. I was expecting to be able to order food and drinks while sitting by the beach like other all inclusives we have been to at Cozumel, but you have to pay for whatever food you order while at the beach. The drinks were good. We were a family of 5 and the taxi ride there and back was $140.00.
The water park with the lazy river was awesome, not overly crowded. Service was fantastic. Buffet was really great. All amenities included the beach were absolutely awesome. I’d go back here!!
Alberta was our tour guy. It was amazing. The trip was effortless food was OK but the beach was great. The kids loved it. It was our first time but I guess I can read it out of 10 out of 10
It was a beautiful place. Everything was very clean and beach was beautiful . Very walkable and little seaweed. We didn’t do the water park but it looked very nice. Food was good and they had a large selection. We sat in the family section close to the vip section. Waiter Martin was great and super friendly.drinks overal were ok. Either very strong or tasted a little different . There was one exception though, we went over to a bar closer to chill beach that had swings and there was a bartender there named Roberto. He is a great bartender the drinks were significantly better. Not too strong but just right. He was great and also super friendly! Overall the place was nice and a good choice for a beach day. We would return again.
A great experience for the entire family. We spent half the day at the pool, water park, and zip line before heading to the beach. Ample seating and space. Our waiter, Gamaliel, was amazing!
For all the families with short kids, height restriction is 48 inches for all the big slides which is not clearly written on website. Lazy river is barely moving. Not what we are use to. There is a kids play area, and those slides barely move. My 4 year old said they were all broken. This review is only for the water park, otherwise the rest of the day was magical. The beach was beautiful, you see a ton of fish when you snorkel. I hope they don’t continue to over develop and destroy the beautiful land otherwise it will turn into ever other place with dead coral and not a fish or animal in sight.
We had a wonderful day at Kuza Beach, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Cozumel! First, I have to say that Cozumel is one of our favorite cruise ports because the people are always so warm and welcoming, and Kuza Beach was no exception. Every employee we encountered throughout the day was genuinely friendly, helpful, and seemed to want everyone to have a great experience. A couple of suggestions that I think could make an already great experience even better: The first is the check-in process. We purchased our tickets online in advance, but when we arrived we still had to wait in the same ticket line as guests purchasing admission that day because everyone needed to receive their wristbands first. There were quite a few of us who had already prepaid, so a separate "Prepaid Wristband Pickup" line would really help speed things up for everyone. My second suggestion would be for the water slides. The inflatable rafts tend to end up scattered around, so you often have to go searching for one before you can ride. A designated return area or someone helping collect and return rafts would make the process much smoother, especially on busier days. One tip for future visitors: **If you plan to zipline, make sure you bring closed-toe shoes.** My daughter only had sandals, so she wasn't able to participate. That may have been mentioned somewhere during booking, but I wish it had been a little more prominent because it's easy to overlook. Now for all the things we loved... The water park itself was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. We easily found beach chairs and later a daybed, which was absolutely worth it. It gave us a comfortable sun and shaded place to relax between activities, and it quickly became our home base for the day. The lazy river was one of our favorite attractions! We also enjoyed the slides, and because we visited on a day that wasn't overly crowded, we rarely had long waits for anything. The all-inclusive drinks were exactly what you'd expect at a beach resort, classic house type tropical favorites like margaritas and piña coladas—and service was consistently quick and friendly. The only part of the all-inclusive experience that didn't really impress us was the food at the water park snack area. It wasn't bad, just fairly basic. However, later we took the tram over to the beachside restaurant for lunch, and that completely changed our opinion of the dining. The food there was excellent! The quesadilla station was my personal favorite, and everything else we sampled was fresh and delicious. If you're deciding where to eat, I definitely recommend making your way to the beach restaurant. Although we didn't spend time in the water at the beach, that had nothing to do with Kuza. A recent storm had stirred everything up, so the water was muddy that day. Even so, the beach itself was beautiful, with gorgeous photo opportunities, separate family and adult beach areas, a playground for children, and fun costumed characters walking around taking pictures with guests. The architecture and atmosphere of the beach restaurant were beautiful—an open-air tropical design that really added to the experience. Overall, we had an excellent day. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left, the facilities were clean, and there was plenty to do for both adults and kids. As a travel advisor, I would absolutely feel confident recommending Kuza Beach to my clients, and I would happily return on a future visit to Cozumel.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exactly what we needed! "We wanted a chill day away from the busy cruise ship, and KUZÁ was absolute paradise. The beach has tons of palm trees for shade and the water is incredibly clear. We just relaxed on our loungers, listened to the live music, and enjoyed the breeze. The staff was super friendly and kept the cold drinks coming all day. Getting a taxi back to the pier was completely stress-free. If you want a beautiful, relaxing beach day in Cozumel, this is the spot!"
We sailed on Wonder of the Seas and decided to skip the typical ship-sponsored excursions to try out KUZÁ. Best decision ever. The park is a massive breath of fresh air. My kids got to do the water slides over and over with virtually no lines, and the lazy river was actually peaceful instead of being packed wall-to-wall with tourists. Plus, taking the electric tram into a real jungle canopy felt like a cool eco-adventure rather than just another resort pool. 20-minute cab ride from the port, and the staff watched our ship's departure time like hawks. Absolute win for families.
Lazy River was awesome! Food and drinks were great! Only wish the buffet was available in the water park area. Towels can be rented for $6 each but they don't allow you to swap for dry ones.
The water park is nice, but it needs more chairs with umbrellas. For the water slice, they have maybe 10 double donuts, and we have to ask people to share, but some people take them and do not share with others: Bar, only one for the entire park. When you ask the attendant for a drink, and he comes back, you already need a second one. They need to invest more in donuts, bars, chairs, and umbrellas. Just a heads-up: the included drinks are the cheapest options; for example, the margaritas were premade and served from a large plastic container, and the vodka was the cheapest brand. If you want to upgrade the drink, you have to pay more. The food included is not bad, but it is not great. The hamburger is an extra charge. The beach. Unfortunately, the date we went (June 2026) was brown and had a lot of seaweed. The buffet does not have many options. Basically, pork, meat, and fish are used to make tacos. The desert is just a little bite of cake. Bottom line, the idea is good, but they need to invest more in the property. You don't get the VIP experience that the rest of the beach club in Cozumel offers.
Really fun day, whole family loved it. Good food and drinks, a very nice experience. Excellent service from the guide and staff.
Brand new location and very nice. The staff was the best of any all-inclusive we've been to. They were very attentive. It was not very crowded this day, but I do think we got lucky because there were only two cruise ships in Cozumel that day. This is definitely a great place for families. The food was not our favorite however and we are hoping they will change a few things. For example, their red menu on the waterpark side was not very appealing, but the blue menu was. The blue menu was a la carte. We opted not to pay for any food. We ended up on the beach side and ate at the buffet and it was still just ok. We are foodies. That will not deter me from going again because the water park, pool, lazy river, beach and especially the staff were all so awesome.
Great experience and Fernando provided excellent service!
Overpriced for what you get. The pool area was nice with plenty of lounge chairs, although the water looked a bit cloudy. The waterslides were fun but that only lasts so long. The drinks were truly terrible. My pina colada had ice chunks. Only Dos Equis is included with the wrist band, not Tecate. The bartenders were snarky when my husband ordered hi drink and one rolled his eyes at me when I asked if they had Dr. Pepper. I was also told in a sarcastic tone that they don't have straws, but lo and behold the bars on the beach did with better cups. The food was awful and like another reviewer mentioned, caused some GI upset. The beach was fine but rocky and full of seaweed. People kept falling trying to get out of the water because there is a steep drop off right when you enter. The distance from the beach to the pool was a 10 min walk or a short tram ride, so that's fine. I did not use the snorkeling gear so I cannot comment on that. It is a $35 taxi ride each from the port. Overall for my husband and I, we spent $240 for about 5 hours at resort. We won't be returning.
We recently booked this excursion through our cruise line and were beyond disappointed. The park itself seems relatively new and honestly didn’t feel ready to handle the crowds. The food was subpar, there was no chair service, and only a limited number of chairs had small umbrellas for shade. The beach was fairly rocky, so water shoes are definitely a must. There was also a lot of sea grass, and the sand wasn’t the soft white sand we have encountered on other Cozumel beaches. The water park/slides area was small and located about a 10-minute tram ride from the beach. Our teens were completely over it within about 30 minutes. Our biggest issue, though, was safety. There were third-party vendors constantly wandering the beach trying to sell things and pressure people into taking photos. In one particularly alarming situation, a random man approached some kids on the beach, asked where their parents were (they were nearby in the water, but not within arm’s reach), and then asked if they wanted to go to a “pinata party.” Staff later confirmed there was no pinata party but didn't seem disturbed by the situation. Thankfully the kids said no. Several adults, including myself, were nearby, and already heading toward the guy before he quickly disappeared. That incident alone made this a hard no for us. Absolutely avoid if you have kids.
Great beach and waterpark day for my family. Fun slides, clean bathrooms, beach and good food. Super servers
We booked this excursion through Carnival knowing it was going to be a short amount of time at the facility. Our hours at port was from 8:00 to 3:30 (the excursion was scheduled for 5 hours). The issue we had was once we arrived at Kuza they only had 2 shuttles running therefore with the number of buses and people that arrived at the same time as we did, we had to wait for three shuttles to get to the beach. This took nearly half an hour. After waiting for the third shuttle we were able to get 4 of the 6 people on and our daughters ended up walking the 10 minute walk. By the time we all got to the beach and settled we had lost between 30 and 45 minutes of our time there. Additionally they were working on the zip line (looked like they were replacing one of the steel cables) so that part was out as well. Now for the positive part of the visit. The parks and beach were very clean and spacious. We had the Ultimate plan so food and drinks were included. The food was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back if ever in Cozumel.
Overall a nice property. Nice beach and water park. The water park is great for families. Our guide Gabo was amazingly great and informative. If it’s just a couple or you don’t have little kids, just do the beach. Being a new property, the trees and shade have not grown enough to cool off the pool area yet. The lazy river is reallly sloooooooow.
It was absolutely amazing!! All the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our tour guide Bernice Gonzalez was out standing.. she went out of her way to help me. She noticed that I was having trouble walking and went out of her way to get me a gulf cart so I didn’t have to walk so far. Also Antony was very tentative to our needs too.. It was easy to remember his name because it’s the same as my oldest.. He stopped and check with each member of my family.. So nice…
It was really great! Kids loved the water slides and the chill day at the water park and beach. The water park was clean, not crowded, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The beach was nice with see-through clear water. The food and drinks were OK.
We booked the KUZA deluxe pass + water park adventure for April 15,2026. Our main focus for the day was the beach. The beach was fabulous, plenty of seating in sun or shade; whichever you are looking for. The food was average. The only reason we added the water park to our package was that we love lazy rivers. When we packed up our stuff from the beach and headed to the water park, the lazy river jets were not working. We asked at least 5 different people who worked there if they would turn them on for us, nobody would help us. We told the people at the front as well hoping maybe they would adjust our ticket price to beach only, they did not; not even an apology. Too many other fabulous excursions in Cozumel, would definitely recommend finding another spot.
We paid nearly $500 for a family of 5 for Waterpark and Beach access. Water green/slimy & food was TERRIBLE
Visited for spring break. The facility is brand new and clean. The waterpark area was really nice but I believe they were having some sort of pool issues. The water was cloudy and the level of water in lazy river was low. Food was really good near the pool. The buffet at the beach was pretty awful. Very small and not very good but we managed. Service was top notch! Danny, our beach server, was fantastic! We did do the zip line an it was really fun and the guides were awesome! I believe this can be a great place with a little hiccups being addressed. We would visit again!
We went to Kuza park as a family of 2 + 2. We went to the waterpark first which the kids enjoyed the slides which were okay (2 were the same so only 3 slides). The all inclusive food was okay but to get french fries and chicken nuggets (and some other dishes) you had to pay extra.. the all inclusive options were also quite cold. We then went to do the zip line but they only go once every hour which we had just missed so we continued down to the beach. The water was so nice but you can only swim out a short way because the jet skis and boats had an area there. There were plenty of sun beds available so we relaxed while the kids dug in the sand and swam.. We went for food at around 3pm and the buffet included was nice but again no international options so we had to pay for french fries again ($8 for a bowl). After food it was 15:50 so I went to take a kayak out but the first sports centre was closed so we were sent to one further down, they said they already had a kayak being used and by the time they got back they would be closed. It was hard to believe they only had 1 kayak allowed out (and there were loads of kayaks on a rack on the beach) so basically everything stops at 4pm. We let the kids play in the water again while the staff started to clean up everything around us. We got the bus back to the waterpark (our bag was there since they charged around $8 (€6) for a locker). They kicked the kids out of the pool at about 4:40 so we went to shower (cold shower only).. just before 5pm we were told we had to leave the park (I was still in the changing room but was ready and left the park on time) - it was so strict with everyone having to be out of the park at 5pm.. I didn’t think the park was worth the price especially when they charge for the nicer food, lockers, towels… We spent €107 for the ferry, €50 return for the taxi to the park and the all inclusive entrance price and regretted it so much. When we got back off the ferry in Playa del Carmen at 7pm so many people were still enjoying the beach and water and we wished we stayed there and spent our €500 on something else ..
Very family friendly, clean and safe for children of all ages. Lifeguards very conscientious of water safety. Great service by wait staff. Clean restrooms that were serviced often.
Booked an excursion with NCL. Arrived at the park, and after around 40 minutes in the waterpark in the kids area of the pool, where we were with our 4 year old son, we noticed brown sludge like substance in the pool and exited immediately, and raised the alarm with the staff. they advised they would check and come back to me, I didn’t get a response. We feared for our son’s safety kept him out of the pool. In the pool, I noticed many areas of broken flooring in the pool itself, with fractures of cement from the pool area. Again, another safety failing. I attach images of the pool and brown sludge from the children’s pool. Fortunately my son did not hurt his feet, as we’d taken him out for his safety, causing distress to him. Customer services were unhelpful and directed me to NCL who we booked the tour with, NCL advised as the matter had been raised onboard, it couldn’t be escalated once off the ship. Not safe, dangerous and someone will get hurt. AVOID
Beach area is very nice. Water park was ok. It was nice because it was far less crowded than the beach. However, the lazy river was green and slippery and in need of a good cleaning. Although brand new, a 2x2 section of the pool bottom in the splash pad has already crumbled away. The food was not very good but was an unlimited buffet. I don't think the drinks had much alcohol and the frozen drinks always had large ice cubes in them like they weren't blended enough. It was nice for little kids but I'd probably choose one of the other all inclusive beaches next time.
Kuza Beach was a great place to visit with the family. I do think it is a bit over priced . While the food and drinks were decent , it wasn't exceptional and definitely not worth the price. The Beach is beautiful and really enjoyed our time there. The water park was good for the kids. We spent a few hours there and then enjoyed the beach. Service was decent however a better system has to be implemented at the snack bar. There truly is no need to wait 20 to 30 mins for chips and salsa and pre-made quesadillas.
Took a Taxi to KUZA from the Cruise Port for $35 (Family of four) on a Wednesday. The ride was about 20 minutes, we arrived about 10:30 am. There was no line to get inside, ample seating around the water park area and we were tended to by Andres for drinks. The restroom were clean, the park was clean. We played at water park and had some food from the "buffet" which is more like a concession stand, before heading to the beach area. Took the provided shuttle from the water park to the beach about 12:30. The beach was fuller than the water park, but we still found beach chairs close to the water. There were performers in Mayan costume taking photos for tips and interacting with guests. Changing rooms, restrooms, and showers all near the beach clean and easy to access. Overall we had a good experience. Pros: clean, friendly, safe, easy to access, fun for our 4 year and 10 year old, staff was great, no lines for water slides or entry. Cons: smaller than expected, a bit spendy for what it is, food was really not great.
I am giving 4 stars because the food was really bad. The snacks at the water park were old and really bad. The quesadillas and fish were cold, the fish full of flour and with ni taste at all. Beside that, the staff super nice, the water park was super fun for the kids and the beach is gorgeous. If I will come back I will take only the beach entrance, as the water park increase the price a lot and only has 4 slides.
Kuza was a fine beach day. Was happy to experience it as we'd watched videos trying to decide which place to spend our port day. Pros: Beach area is lovely. Workers work very hard to make it nice & keep drinks flowing. Adult only area has no umbrellas/shade or we would have spent the day there. The rest of the area was full of families having fun. Buffet was standard, nothing stand out, but decent. Drinks were also standard, our party was mixed on the drinks, some liked them, some didn't. But the workers worked hard to keep them refilled. Cons: Adult area has no shade. Tram system slow & not organized, it's a free for all getting into the tram, no systematic line. So if you're near the front, you may or may not get on the next tram as people scatter & jump on from all sides. Needs a controlled line. Had massage ladies coming up to us over & over asking if we'd like a massage, felt like we were on a public beach in that regard. Water park: we decided to do the water park at the end of our visit around 2:30 p.m. It was practically empty by this point, which seemed awesome. Mostly wanted to go into the lazy river. 1 couple was already in it but literally not moving. We asked the worker if the lazy river was broken & he said no. Watched a floating leaf to see if it was moving, it wasn't. Got in, it had the jets going but water wasn't moving. Couldn't figure out what was going on with the river. Decided to try the water slides. We're told at the bottom of the tower that 2 of the 4 slides we're not working. So each couple did the outer tube slides. After 1 slide down each wanted to try the other slide that the other couple had done & by then, one of those slides were not working. Then the other one broke. So literally the only slide working within 10 minutes of us trying to use them, was the yellow, straight down slide. Nothing else opened back up while we were there. Take away: Was nice to see Kuza. Would I return as adult only group? No. I would choose another tried and true Cozumel resort even if they're older. Beach area was nice & expansive & pretty at Kuza. Water park feels like Kuza built it fast & opened up before they worked out the kinks & were really ready to take on guests. Which actually makes me question the structure of it. But even with the quarks, we had a nice Beach day & were happy to see the new resort.
