BUYER BEWARE, I went to the meeting point listed on my booking. Once I was there, I was told the tour is leaving from a different marina with no prior notice. I walked more than 30 minutes to the other Marina, where then I was told no such tour was scheduled. I never received the tour I paid for. The company later told me the boat needed fuel, but that doesn’t change the fact that not war was provided. I would highly recommend avoiding this company and tour at all costs, as you have no idea what you’re signing up for, and they are more than happy and willing to cheat and scam you.

We saw a shark, starfish, my husband saw a sea turtle. Snack were good. Drinks were good. I thought the price was good. 4 hours was a good amount of time to see things. Wish there had been more turtles. It was entertaining. Crowd size was good. Best for beginners to intermediate. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful with the crew members- Alex and the captain. These two gentlemen were very friendly and helpful for my kids. I love how small our group was verses other boats that have 20+ people. Our boat is small yet updated and clean, accommodating up to 12 people only. We stopped 4 spots and each spot we saw incredible sea creatures like nurse shark (!), eagle rays ( they were SO stinking cute circling my kids!), sea turtle, tropical fish, and coral. Alex and captain also had light refreshment prepared for us at the last stop. We got to enjoy the fresh fruits, raw fish salad, and chips while watching eagle rays passing us multiple times. The experience was surreal, I ended up purchasing the photo package and the price is reasonable. Will definitely book again!
Fun experience. Clean and organized. On time. Very friendly staff. Good food and drinks. Fully recommend.
We were disappointed. The main thing to mention for this tour is that it included only about 40 minutes of actual snorkeling time for our group. We had about an hour of light rain during our tour that may have forced an alteration to their typical schedule. This is speculation, though, because how else can you explain only 40 minutes of snorkeling over a 4 hour tour? The tour pier is about a 45 minute boat ride (one-way) to the first snorkeling stop. That stop had good snorkeling with a lot to see, but only lasts about 15-20 minutes due to a strong current. The next snorkeling stop is 5 minute boat ride away. It is very poor snorkeling with only a handful of large starfish and not much else. Our third stop was another 5-10 boat ride at a waist-high sand bar close to land. We swam/stood in the water there for about 45 minutes there while we waited on the rain to end and the guides prepared ceviche, chips, and fruit. The food was good and we ate for another 20 minutes or so. After that, we took the 45+ minute boat ride back to pier. So all told, two total snorkeling stops for 15-20 minutes each, one good and one poor. Was that worth the $$$ and the 4 hours of total tour time? Not for us. The tour guides themselves were generally friendly and helpful.
The tour was great, and as described. ~12 to the boat - mostly shaded. Three stops - one was at the reef, one was in a more sandy area with starfish, and stringrays, and one at a sandbar for some welcome rest and snacks. Time in the water snorkeling is only a part of the 4 hours, of course, but this is a trip for tourists, and beginners. I enjoyed it very much. Oh, and the availability of prescription goggles was a great bonus to my group!
Booked this trip here instead of going through the cruise line and I’m so happy I did. It was a fraction of the cost and triple the fun! Finding the meet point was extremely easy, at the port there’s a line for taxis. Just remember to bring cash. It was 15 USD for my family of 4. I just followed the direction. The group was my family of four, another family of 3, and a couple. Our guides were Captain Diego & Luis. Very funny and kind. The ceviche was fresh made and absolutely delicious. Yes they wanted to take pictures, but they absolutely did not press for the us to purchase as some people are saying. They did a wonderfully job, so much I also gave them my taxi money and my family and I just walked back to the port, wasn’t bad. Just a 20 min walk. Book this tour! I would definitely book this tour again.
Super beautiful water, with lots of pretty stingray and fishies! Just waiting on our underwater pictures to be sent over!
Very nice snorkeling tour. Boat picked up and dropped off at our hotel pier, very convenient! The captain Pablo and tour guide Richardo were super nice. Richardo swam with us and took good care of everyone. We visited a free deep and shallow reefs, gorgeous! The last stop at El Cielo was amazing - giant stingrays just like babies around you, their body touched people's legs - never had experience. Highly recommend this tour
Had a great time! Experience couple be upgraded with snorkels with valves on the ends to prevent water splashing in and mouthpieces on snorkels that have more than just a tab on each side to bite down on.
If you’re looking for a snorkeling excursion that’s truly focused on quality snorkeling rather than just checking off tourist stops, this is the one to book. The small group size—only 12 people—made the experience feel personal, relaxed, and very safe. The guides were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was comfortable in the water. One of the highlights was stopping at the stingray sandbar, where the crew prepared fresh ceviche, homemade guacamole, and fresh fruit for us while we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. It was an unexpected touch that made the day even more special. From start to finish, everything was well organized, professional, and exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a high-quality snorkeling adventure with outstanding service and a small-group experience, I highly recommend this excursion. It was one of the highlights of our trip!
It was a great adventure! It was an easy taxi ride from the port and the team was great to us- saw fantastic animals and the water was incredible to see and swim in.
We had so much fun on this adventure. Our super friendly & very handsome guide, Laslo, was incredibly helpful & took us to the best areas to see fish, turtles, star fish, baby shark or two , sting rays in the clearest blue ocean. We had a great meal of fresh fruit & fresh Ceviche. I would highly recommend this excursion. Easy to find from our cruise ship & just an amazing day!
This was amazing and totally an excursion I would take again with El Mayor. The captain and snorkel guides were friendly and informative. The boat ride itself was so fun. But the snorkeling was amazing! We saw a tortuga, tons of rays and starfish. The snorkel instructor even dived to get a picture of a nurse shark for someone on the tour. We like the size of the group- 3 small families (8 total). The ceviche was scrumptious and they had cold drinks and beers as well. I highly recommend El Mayor tour company!
We chose El Mayor Snorkeling for our adventure. Ricardo was our guide. We had a great experience!
The excursion seem a little disorganized. It was supposed to start at 10am but didn’t until 10:20am. Then once we got started, the small boat made a stop to pick up 2 ppl about 15 mins away. The boat was full and was told we had to make another stop to pick another 2 more. About 20 mins later we went to another dock where 4 ppl were waiting. Our boat ppl got on their cell, trying to figure out what to do. It was obvious we could not hold 4 more ppl. About 10-15 mins later we left w/out any of the 4 guests. It’s now 11am. Our actual snorkeling stops were good. We spent about 45 mins at the 1st stop. Saw lots of fish. The 2nd one was just as good. The 3rd one was more of a relaxed stop, not deep, where we could stand in the ocean. This is where the staff gave us beers, sodas and made fresh ceviche. As they were handing out the plates of food, we were told each plate needed to be shared with 2 people!! What? I said nope, and took my owned plate. That is ridiculous! Our tix did not include a “shared” fee. Since we got a late start, we were rushed getting back. We were on a cruise ship and our “all aboard” time was 3:15pm. The excursion was supposed to be 10am - 2pm. When we made the reservation, we knew we had plenty of time to get back. With all the delays, we got worried. When we got back to our dock, we were not given any information on catching a cab. We had to rush around trying to locate a cab. Another couple was on our same ship so we shared a cab back to the ship. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any time to visit the shops and had to head directly back to the ship. I do not recommend this excursion and would not book again.
Absolutely awesome experience-perfect for our family of four with two girls ages 14 and 11. The snorkeling was great and the sandbar with ceviche and drinks was like a dream. Our guides were wonderful and the entire process and day was top notch. Would highly recommend!
We had an awesome time! The snorkeling was amazing! Our whole family loved it! We would definitely go again the next time we are in Cozumel!
Fantastic cruise excursion and experience. The boat operators didn't communicate well where and what was happening before or when it was happening. The ladder getting on and off the boat from the ladder is short and difficult (elderly, kids, or those with strength or disabilities beware). Not the most safe feeling or comfortable boat. If the boat operators can provide a longer on and off ladder, communication forecasting with positivity the places traveling to and the times spent at each location, with maybe more comfortable secure seating, this excursion will be a five star highly recommend trip to take. As is, this trip was fun and good for the value but nothing to rave about. The stop locations to snorkel were perfect.
The tour was well organized. Staff was very professional and attentive. My only frustration is that I could not see any stars in El Cielo. On the other hand, we saw several stingrays in El Cielito.
Although very well planned out and no issues, this is a 3 hour snorkel not 4 hours. No issue for us but felt that it needs to be mentioned. It is a 4 stop snorkel. Very safe especially for poor swimmers. They provide all equipment and a floating vest. You just need to follow the life preserver as Cozumel has a strong current ( which almost makes this a drift snorkel). We had to either walk from the cruise port or take a $10 taxi. Lucky for us they offered to take us back to the port since taxis don’t wait here. Bring $1 per person for the entrance fee. We were greeted right at the entrance by friendly staff. The crew were very safe and at the last stop made us a snack. Drinks also provided. Overall very pleased and would recommend.
Great trip. Luis and Alex were awesome. Both help keep my family safe in the water. Saw nurses sharks. All kinds of fish. Turtles and sting rays. The stop at El cielo was awesome with the snacks and drinks. Would 100% recommended. Photos won’t upload from phone
It was a good tour. Tour guide was very supportive as well. If you focus on Snorkeling experience only, it's good. But you don't have any beach clubs around the area.
Perfect length. Well fed at the last stop. Staff were courteous and provided clear instructions from arrival to and through the excursion.
Super cool people ! Wonderful water wonderful sea life !
This was one of the best excursions we have ever done. They took great care of us from the moment we arrived. Note the $1 per person fee to be paid at the marina. Also taxi from the Norwegian port was $30 for ten people. Our boat driver Diego was a great driver. We went to several locations and saw hundreds of fish and lobster, stingrays, starfish and even nurse sharks. The water is beautiful. Our last stop was a sandy beach where they made us delicious ceviche with chips and fruit. They supplied water pop and beer. We had a wonderful time.
Alfonso and Alex were amazing we seen sting rays , star fish , nurse shark, and sea turtles the water was so blue and they gave us amazing ceviche with fresh pineapple and melons. I highly recommend and I will for sure be coming back.
Best the tour ever! Captain Pablo made the best ceviche and guide Luis took many beautiful photos for us! He also saved my sons phone after he accidentally dropped it into the ocean! Thank you! The water and animals were beautiful.
We knew we wanted an amazing snorkeling experience and this provided just that. The stops were amazing … Columbia reef, to see the turtles, then to starfish, to then to hang out with stingrays swimming casually by. So very cool. Friendly and organized. Food was a delicious bonus.
This was the best excursion we did in Cozumel. Our tour guide knew exactly where to go to see the reefs, star fish and sting rays. Highly recommend to do.
This is our second time snorkeling with them. They are amazing. Our daughter is a bit afraid to snorkel so they pull her around in a tube and she is able to experience the adventure with us
We lucked out with amazing weather. Our crew was informative and caring. The snorkel spots were perfect and not too long. The ceviche and drinks were amazing at the end of the trip to the sandbar. I have been to another sandbar in Oahu (which is my favorite place on earth) and this was the same if not better. Great amount of time for this excursion and all around a perfect activity for a trip with friends, family and others.
It was a nice, small group (around 10). We were able to visit three different locations. We saw a variety of fish, a sea turtle, and starfish. We also stood in beautiful water with manta rays swimming around us while we enjoyed a cold drink and fresh ceviche! *Much better than the cruise line option we tried a few years ago!
Very friendly, takes you to beautiful locations, excellent customer service & great people. If you’re coming from Carnival, it’s close. We came from Royal which is same port terminal as Norwegian and it’s a 20 minutes drive $15 taxi ride. Worth it, just plan accordingly.
Amazing snorkeling trip. Got to see barracuda and Sting rays and many fishes. Our guide Luis was very nice also
Very fun boat ride and snorkeling experience. You get to see coral reefs, star fish, and rays for sure. We were lucky and saw a sea turtle, shark, and some pretty fish.
This experience was amazing! Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Lots of fish and sting rays. Even saw a jelly fish!
There are no changing facilities to put your swimsuit on. No restrooms unless you have 5 pesos on you, no change will be given. Supposed to go to 4 spots, went to 2, no explanation given. Snorkel guide went off on his own. He just wanted good photos. Boat captain, watched me fall and made no move to help. Told him my giggles were foggy and gritty and he shrugged his shoulders. They did not engage with group at all. Played loud music on bad speakers. Ugh. Not worth it.
Diego and Alfonso did a fabulous job. They were very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. They gave us a safety briefing and made sure everyone knew how to use the equipment. They were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Would highly recommend. Oh and the food they served us I the water was extremely delicious. Make sure you look them up
If you get a chance to book this excursion, do it. Capitan Manolo and Alex were wonderful hosts. We saw so many fish, stingrays, and even saw a shark! Absolutely fantastic day and I wouldn't hesitate to book this again. Muchos gracias mi amigos.
Outstanding! You will not regret doing this tour! The spots you will visit are incredible, the hospitality and even the snacks provided are awesome.
Super friendly staff. Incredible snorkeling and a healthy reef. Saw puffer fish, tons of colorful tropical fish, a lobster, a shark and a stingray. The ceviche was the best I've ever had.
We had a fantastic time snorkeling and saw a nurse shark and many beautiful fish! It was too windy to stop at the usual places but they made it a great excursion for us on the other side of the island! Staff was very attentive and communication was very good before the excursion to make sure all our questions were answered. Since we were on the way, they even picked us up at our resort so we didn't have to pay for a cab ride to the port.
Our family had great time and saw lots of fish. The captain even made an extra stop to see the sea turtle.
What a great experience, was a wonderful time.
Fantastic snorkelling trip. Small group of 12 on a small boat, so you’re really close to the water the whole time. Small group makes it easier to snorkel freely in the water without being banged into. 3 snorkelling stops - the coral reef, abundant with fish and we even saw a turtle, El Cielo for starfish and final stop in shallow water with lots of stingrays. Amazing!
Beautiful experience! I was with my 2 kids (10 and 16), we saw many fish, rays, seastars a turtle and even a verh cute small shark! I absolutely recommend the tour. Price was really good for the experience! They offered water, soda and juice. At the final stop (el cielito : shallow waters and gorgeous big stingrays), we had also a good ceviche included with fruits, and beers. To get to the Marina, we need a 15 minutes ride in taxi from the ferry, about 200 pesos. And there were taxis available easily to come back. Luis and Pablo were very good guides and captain. After booking the tour, i received a message from the company to make sure i had all the details to get there. Memories for life!
Louis and the captain were great guides. Great experience seeing all the species of fish and the starfish and stingrays. The water was so beautiful!
This was a wonderful snorkeling experience. The captain and guide were friendly and made fresh ceviche on the boat for lunch. We saw fish, turtles, sharks, rays and the reef was beautiful. Highly recommend.
Snorkling sites were the most outstanding snorkeling experiences I have ever had. Sea turtles, starfish, stingrays, and thousands of fish. Reese and Pablo were friendly and helpful. My only negative comment is that I have always been supplied with fins whenever I have booked a snorkeling excursion. Mask and mouthpiece provided, but no fins provided by provider.
