This was our last stop on a cruise. The snorkeling was not as good as I expected but the tour guide and captain were pleasant and aimed to please. Although they indicated what marina to go to, it was not clear where to go once we got there and we had to call. Secondly, be aware that they charge a marina fee per person. I feel they should include that in the price of the tour so you know up front what the cost is going to be. It states the cost is $11 per person, but that is if you bring cash so make sure you bring cash. We used a credit card so they charged us in pesos which turned out to be a little over $13 per person. They didn’t charge us in US dollars because they didn’t want to pay the foreign exchange fee their bank would have charged them. So bring cash if you want to pay only $11 per person. In addition, although we thought this was a 20 minute walk from the cruise port, it turned out to be a $20 cab ride from the other cruise port where we were docked. So this tour ended up costing $60 more than we expected for the two of us. The first reef was deep so you couldn’t see much unless you were willing to dive down. The second reef was better. It had more fish but there wasn’t much coral. We also saw a couple sea turtles reef sharks. The third stop had mostly sand and quite a few starfish but not much else. We had much better snorkeling in Roatan. They did provide beer, soda and water as well as a snack with corn chips and ceviche. The tour was average but I was mostly disappointed that the cost ended up being significantly higher than expected, not all of which was their fault.

This has to be the best trip in our fortnight holiday around Caribbean. Omar and the rest crew were friendly and so welcoming. The three diving spots were very different so good variety. The last one was in a shallow stunning beach where rays swam around us and we relaxed on white/pink sand having a snack and drinks - truly stunning. Thank you - loved by my three children and 2 adults. (If you are coming from cruise point it is about a 15/20 minute walk to marina - quite doable but hot so if prefer get a taxi which are plentiful both ways).
Great day of snorkeling. Our guide Carlos was great! Saw spotted rays. Skates, lobsters, puffer fish, and tons of fish and coral at Columbia reef. We saw starfish at El Cielo and enjoyed fabulous ceviche and chips in the company of friendly rays as they glided past as we ate! A great experience! Thank you!
Great guides, however not glass bottom boat and only two not three snorkel options. Disappointed not what we paid for. Also, need to charge dock fee with reservation USD 20 went in a guys breast pocket...
We had a great experience on this tour! Very well organized from start to finish with the multiple types of transportation we required from our resort in Puerto Morelos. Our tour guide Alejandro and the crew were kind and hospitable, Miguel took some amazing underwater photos and the price to purchase them all was a reasonable $30USD. Definitely worth it for the clarity alone! The food was tasty and more than enough. Shoutout to a different tour guide, Rodrigo, who we ended up sitting beside on the ferry ride home, he shared a lot about the history of the island and photos. We appreciated it! Of note: it was a very, very long day. Our travel agent at the resort gave the impression it was 6-7hrs total, but was approx. 11hrs roundtrip. We didn't realize the lengthy travel time involved between the shuttle, ferry and speedboat ride itself to snorkel –which was early afternoon before we got into the water. Bring a change of clothes for the wait time/shopping after the snorkel tour itself, until the next ferry arrives. If you’re not one for crowds, this experience is not for you as we were part of a large group leading up to and from the actual snorkelling tour.
We booked a tour through our Playacar hotel for snorkeling in Cozumel. Probably not their fault but this tour is much more sitting and waiting to get to the snorkel sites than really snorkeling. Tour guide Danny was very good and we got some really cool photos. We did see a sting ray, fish, starfish, sea turtle. Just wish there was more time to snorkel at different sites. If your focus is to get in a lot of snorkeling, try another approach. If you want to ride in a boat, see beautiful Caribbean views, visit retail stores, and snorkel and swim a little, this is a great tour. (Btw charge was $30 to get copies of the cool photos. It was nice having a tour photographer).
We attended the "Cozumel El Cielo Snorkel Tour". The trip itself was ok, but the snorkel guide didn't really guide or try and find interesting things to see. We merely were put in the water at different spots. I also hadn't appreciate that despite a 9:20 start we didn't get in the water till 13:00. However, that's potentially my oversight. My main complaint is that when we returned to Playa del Carmen, we were left waiting up to an hour for our transfer back. If we were told there would be a long wait we could have looked round the shops, but none of this was communicated. We were subsequently standing by the road for 45 minutes to an hour. Some people actually abandoned the tour transfer and got taxis back because of the wait and lack of organisation. This was obviously very unpleasant and considering the cost of the tour I would have expected better. I found the tour to be terrible value and badly organised.
This was the best! I am so glad we chose to take this excursion. David was our favorite tour guide that we have had in 4 chock full trips to Mexico. We also suspect he might be a literal merman given the way he jets down to the ocean floor to share the wildlife with you. The crew was gracious and went out of their way to make certain our whole family had a blast. Fatima (the paparazzi fish) took the best pics of our family and sold them to us for a steal. We had an epic day with this group. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We were picked up at our resort in Playacar and driven till the ferry harbour to cross to Cozumel island. Our tour guide was Claudio, a very gregarious, helpful and knowleagable host. After aprox a 90 min voyage we got to an amazing, beautiful reef on the Island: Colombia Bajo, Palancar. Mowi was our lead diver who was always keeping an eye on the group. Then we continued on the boat so as to snorkel into the crystal-clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean and reached "El Cielo", famous for the starfish Sanctuary and for being a world-class destination. A spot with shallow waters and white fine sand which together makes the most breathtaking turquoise blue tones. After that we headed till El Cielito where we enjoyed a delicious lunch on the boat and a tasty treat of fresh fruit in the shallow waters. Thanks to all of you! Breathtaking and worth doing!!!
The snorkeling part was great, I took my 6 year old and she had a fab time. Unfortunately the organisation was chaotic. Our driver was later in the morning - which was OK as we are told this is expected and accepted. We were left milling around a shop for 30 minutes before we were taken to the ferry terminal in the morning. After our trip we had nearly 2 hours in cozumel Town with not a lot to do - all fine. We got back tonplaya del Carmen and ny child needed to use the restroom. Cucurumbe staff said to use the facilities in the shop at the meeting point, so we did. Then our transfer left without us "because we were late". We were in the toilet and I was a woman travelling with a 6 year old. No help from staff who walked away. We had to find a bank, get cash and a taxi and were back to our hotel very late with a frightened child. I could never trust this company again. Its fine for their driver to be late, to hang around for hours but not to allow a child to use the bathroom at the end of the trip. Really upsetting for her and ruined our day. Avoid. I would have given 1 star but the guys on the boat were great
We recently went on a trip with Claudio and it was fantastic. We thought Claudio was a great host and lots of fun as well as being very informative. We thought the whole tour was really well organised, from pick up to drop off. Lunch was great. The boat crew were great. Miguel Alfonso took some great pictures. The snorkel spots we were taken to were brilliant and there was enough time to snorkel in each spot. Lots of beers on board. Would do again. Thanks guys.
Highlights: Starfish Sanctuary, stingrays swimming around you while you drink a beer and eat fruit with Tahín, and we saw a barracuda on our trip. Our camera guy got some incredible photos of our group, we were happy to pay for them! And Reyes, our leader, even took us to some authentic tacos while we had time in Cozumel. Lowlights: The boat was a tight fit, the reef was surprisingly quiet (we had a better reef in Cancun), and it was an incredibly long day because we were staying in Cancun and had to take the ferry.
We bought a snorkel tour with this company but we totally regreted. The boat is way too small to fit for the 29 people that day in there. Social distancing is supposed to be enforced but there was none of that there After wakig up early and going through that hassle this really was not worth it. Social distancing is supposed to be enforced but there was none of that here. We ended up leaving the tour as it was way too crowded.
Absolutely incredible snorkel experience! We plan to do this again on our next visit. The beach and water is like the stuff you see in commercials! Highly recommend! And also agree to pay them to take your photos underwater… so glad we did that! Worth every penny.
First the reef and the starfish were incredible. But this was tour was not as promised on call days earlier when booked. We were concerned about covid and asked specific questions before booking - No covid spacing with everyone shoulder to shoulder and some seated in middle 31 without the crew. No mask until we got near port. 3 hrs+ to start your with no water offered or a cold beer. Website and phone call promised rum punch but there was none to be found. Before we boarded, after we boarded and 2-3 other times asking for tips. Exhausting the number of times we were asked to tip crew and help Reyes because that is how these guys make money. As we jumped in water a photographer jumped in and was trying to get people to stop and pose. Disappointing he didn’t introduce himself and ask who wants photo before interrupting constantly the dive to get photos. An extra $30 for photos seemed a bit steep but give folks a chance up front to decide. Finally there were so many in the water you constantly got hit with flippers and other swimmers. Minimal discussion before we jump as to what we may see or what to look for. Very little discussion while in water, again due to size of group. Overall a waste of money but beautiful areas and potential. I would take my $110 per person and go find another company. Or if you can’t afford it get these guys to do it for $25-40 and it aligns to value of the experience. Overall a tourist trap, you’ve been warned!
The experience off snorkeling and the crew were very friendly I recommend this 100% they help you a lot if you need help
The reason for a low review is that they pull close to beach for you to get off in chest high water for beach experience, (next to mr Santos, however, not a part of tour or allowed), they had us stand on beach (no chairs, or tables) while they got off handmade sandwiches and cerviche, cheap beer and rum punch off of the boat. Before you can eat, you have to sign waiver not to sue or hold accountable, if you get sick from the food. We did not even go to El Cielo only other two, said captain call.
I had to cancel this excursion with over thirty days prior to my arrival and I was denied a refunded. I feel like I got scammed by the outfitters and Tripadvisor. I won't be using this website again.
We had so much fun with the whole crew! Dany was the best guide ever and really helped me get comfortable with snorkeling. 10/10 would take this tour again!!
Our first online booking trough tripadvisor website was canceled because they were already fully booked ( why then still offering the service on Tripadvisor website ? ) . We booked the following day a 12:30 tour with a message from them asking to take a 11:00 Ferry trip to the island where the tour was starting. When we arrived at the ferry, they were no departure at 11:00 Am but only at 12:00 so we missed our trip. we called them and they did not take any responsibility for giving us a wrong timetable information. They could not find us any alternatives ( different hours or reference to a competitor with equal service ). They proposed to refund the reservations and therefore waiting now for it.
They picked us up 1 hr late and then made 2 other stops to pick up 1 person at each location. It was a double decker boat but we were not allowed up top where the sun was in abundance. The boat was packed 25-30 people. No way to social distance. A covid capsule no mask after the 1 st 20 min. If you have not yet had covid don’t go! However the reef was beautiful and so was elcileo with the starfish and rays. I suggest using another boat. We left at 1:30pm and returned at 6pm we were told to be at the dock at 12:15
Our guides were lovely, the snorkeling was great, and El Cielito lived up to the hype! Highly recommend.
I definitely can NOT recommend the tour. 1. The guide was really annoyed and grumbeling about us – all the time over ridiculous things. E.g.: we got small bottles of water/juice which we put on our seats when jumping from the boat into the water to snorkel. Of course, when you jump, the boat moves and some of the bottles fell on the ground of the boat. We could not put it into our bag as they were locked in a locker on the boat. When we got on the boat again and he saw the bottles on the ground, he was grousing: „DON’T THROW THE BOTTLES ON THE GROUND“. Due to him, it was a really bad atmosphere. 2. The glass bottom – ridiculous! 1. So small, that it’s really really hard to see anything! 2. Our guide has put the swim west on the glass, so we couldn’t see anything… So it’s not an advantage 3. If you want to see great fish, go to Egypt, not to Cozumel
Had a great time snorkeling. Three great reefs to swim around, plenty of fish and coral to see. The guides were great, very helpful for a rookie like me and supplied water and drinks and some nice fruit at the end. I'd recommend bringing your own equipment, they supply everything but it's a bit worn down.
Booked direct and got $8 taxi ride from ship to Marina Daniel and Jorge(the guide) were great. Saw lots of fish, sea turtle, eels, and love Konk. Only bad thing rained during first part of the trip. Private beach was nice with Soda and Beer and music. I bought my rolling cooler and had taco stop at local store to load up on beer for cheap. Definitely recommend .
My wife and I really enjoyed this tour, the third of three snorkeling tours we had on this vacation. Jorge and the Captain (sorry don't remember name) were great, as were the crew at the marina. We visited three reefs plus a beach stop. It was nice that they were all different reefs than we had seen on our other tours and farther from St Miguel. I especially enjoyed Columbia reef, which is shallow, so the colors are brighter, and lots of variety. The second was deep, water cloudy, and we didn't see much, but the third was better again. Enjoyed the relaxation at the beach. The crew was kind enough to drop us at our hotel, instead of the marina. Even though this group was larger than some ( about 10 people) they were able to handle everything well. My wife has mobility issues, and they were very helpful in helping her get back into the boat. Would recommend to others.
Captain Pipino and Jorge are fabulous and truly care about your well being. We snorkeled all three reefs and saw so much marine life! The beach was nice to get off at and they offered us seasonal fruit with drinks. We had a blast!
The tour/reefs we saw were a bit less variee than what I was hoping, but nevertheless the coral reef was beautiful. We swam from Columbia to Palancar and the sun saw a star fish, barracudas and lots of tropical colorful fishes. Not the best coral reef I've seen, but really long, wide and impactful at first sight. The color of the water was incredible. The staff was ok, not very enthusiastic, but the group we were with were really nice. We got offered drinks and some fruit. I had read online that the Playa El Cielo was closed till Jan, however the tour guide said (not sure if true) that that was still closed and was going to open in March, which is why they could not stop there and we stopped at a regular public beach instead (beautiful, but not the same). A bit overpriced perhaps, but overall a good experience.
What started with a large amount of trepidation ended in a wonderful experience. The first point to recognise is that the marina is located away from the cruise terminal. It's about a 5 minute taxi ride at a cost of $9-00USD (could likely be a tourist price). We were extremely nervous on arrival at the marina - it looks somewhat run down. The boat also looked as though it had seen better days. So - that was the worrying part. However, once on board everything was wonderful. It's about 20 minutes to the most southerly reef we visited. The journey was exhilerating. Once there we were provided masks, snorkels, fins and life vests by choice and into the water with our guide who was with us all the time we were in the water. The reef is not especially colourful - certainly not compared to Australia. The fish are very beautiful. Our first reef was at a depth of about 10m. We then moved on to a second reef with a depth closer to 30m. We had a barracuda encounter - it just went past below and to the side - very beautiful. This phase meant we were in the water for about 30-40 minutes continuously and moving constantly. Whilst you don't need to be fit to enjoy the experience, I certainly found the life vest useful to make the journey easier. After getting back on board for a few minutes we arrived at the last reef. This was back to a shallow reef again with a gorgeous array of fish and coral. Our final stop was an area of beach where we could relax, paddle/swim, enjoy a beer, some fruit or sunbathe. Then it was back to the marina. Jorge - our guide was wonderful. Once you get over the initial feeling on arrival at the marina, the experience is excellent, however, bear in mind the taxi fares could make other options more beneficial. Thank you all - we had a great time.
Captain Daniel and Jorge are the best. We had the most beautiful afternoon and would highly recommend this tour.
Never showed at the port or at the Hard Rock. We called the local contact and was lead to a string of places before receiving a call informing me to take a cab down town to yet another destination where they would meet me. I didn't trust it so I took another tour.
It was as advertised. The boat is small. The crew were very nice and helpful. It was a very relaxing day.
We had a big miscommunication and we did not get to go on the excursion. I booked a different three reef snorkeling trip but due to conditions that we and Viator could not control the trip and time was changed. The sad problem was that we where notified of the change while we where on the cruise ship and we had no access to my email to find out. We showed up to the location first confirmed and no one showed up. We wasted 2 hours of time and 2 taxi rides for no excursion. I did not know what had happened until I returned home and talked with Viator. They did give me my money back. I was sad to not get to go on the snorkel trip, but I will survive.
Don’t even know where to start with the review. My husband and I went to Playa Del Carmen for our anniversary. We have snorkeled a couple of times down there, so thought going over to Cozumel for a few hours to snorkel would be great. As I have heard that the snorkeling there is beautiful. First, the taxi that took us from the Ferry, took us to the wrong marina, so we had to walk on the main road about to get to correct one that this company tells you to go to. Well after walking over to the marina that is printed on the ticket you get, we are then told that it’s the first marina that we just walked over from. So, the marina was wrong that was listed for this excursion. Someone gave us a ride back over to the correct marina, where we waited for everyone to get there. The boat was supposed to leave at 10am, but because it was only the 2 of us we had to wait for the other 5 couples to show up. They were 30 minutes late. I can image why we waited was because they weren’t going to waste time just taking the 2 of us. But as the tickets states when booking this, it’s clearly states to make sure you catch the 8am ferry ride from Playa to Cozumel since the ferry ride is about 30-40 minutes long. Didn’t appreciate waiting around an extra 30 minutes on other people. Then we get on a boat that only went 5mph, had such a loud Motor that you couldn’t even have a conversation with your partner on the boat. This boat ride was an hour long, so my hearing was shot by the time we got to the spot. All the other couple on the boat spoke Spanish and I get like the guides really didn’t like having to speak English to us. During our time in the water, we didn’t get any instructions on what to look at or direction because they were only speaking Spanish. Luckily, my husband and I know how to snorkel, so if this was a first time experience we wouldn’t have been screwed. The first place, we were in the water for about 20-30 minutes and didn’t see anything besides a few fish. The second place, was beautiful with starfish all over the sand. Only saw that one for about 15-20 minutes. Again, no direction or added information to learn about them. Only direction we got was don’t touch them or the sand. Last place, was a sand bar in the middle of the water. Gorgeous! But nothing to see and you don’t even snorkel. You just sand in the water drinking beer. And the “fruit tray” was 1 pineapple cut up for all 6 couples. Then we had another loud, hour back to port. Oh, there was a toilet on board, but there was no seat for a woman to use it, unless you just hover over the bowl. Wasn’t about to attempt it. By the time we bough tickets for the ferry, 2 cab rides and marina fees we had already paid more than the actual excursion was. Glad we got pictures of the island because after that day and experience, it will be a long time or maybe won’t ever go back there. We truly had our hopes up that it would be fun and pretty, but this excursion didn’t meet any expectation we had.
I had wrote a raving review on the snorkeling in Cancun... Spend the extra $$ and time and do this tour. I will tell you the Starfish Park was UNDERWELMING.. But the next stop on the Reef is MIND BLOWING. Maybe if you are a seasoned SCUBA athlete but I would think if you are on a Snorkeling tour, you are not. Make sure you don't let grandma and grandpa stay on the boat for the second stop, like ours did. It is truly amazing. Got up close.. I mean like less than 1 foot from a young green sea turtle. Make sure you bring your cell phone in a waterproof case or go pro. You will want and need it!
We were a party of six and we all enjoyed the snorkeling we did while in Cozumel more than anything else that we did.
PROS: Juan was our guide. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name of our captain. Both were great!!! Safety first is what Juan and the captain were concerned about and I really appreciated that, especially being out in the open ocean! Juan emphasized that we follow the rules about preserving the corral reefs. He also gave us an honest description of the 3 reefs we would be visiting and the sea life we might expect to see at each reef and about how long we would be at each reef. Juan pointed out and called us over when he spotted 2 sea turtles, a yellow & a spotted eagle ray, and a barracuda!!! We would not have seen them without him pointing them out to us. Thank you!!! I want to point out that a couple dropped their action camera and the boat crew tried to help them find it. The captain made few passes, with the boat, around the area and Juan jumped in the water to help. It was very nice that they did that. Unfortunately, the camera wasn't found. SUGGESTIONS: Try to view or print your ticket before. We didn't because we didn't have internet access and missed that we needed to meet with Chac Choc tours. Allow yourself time to get to the marina and back(we needed to be back at our ship at a certain time) Bring enough cash for cab ride and tip for boat crew. Ask the boat crew if they could call for a cab to pick you up after the trip. I see on other reviews that they had some of the same issues but honestly, in my opinion, it's not the responsibility of the tour company for those issues. There are package deals with other tour companies that charge a premium(minimum of $175 per person) to take care of some of the issues/details stated in other reviews but I couldn't afford to pay that premium price and I'm glad that Cucurumbre Tours was an option...we paid less than $120 for 2. We did a snorkel trip in Florida and the same details applied as well.
This tour left us feeling a bit disappointed. The boat as mentioned in another review is very slow which we didn’t mind because our daughter can sometimes be afraid of fast boats. So that was perfect and relaxing. It was odd that at each stop to pick up more passengers you have to move to the front of the boat- not sure why maybe water was too shallow. Guide didn’t interact much & did not explain anything. At the end of the trip he ran off so fast we couldn’t even give him a tip. Which perhaps he needed to meet the afternoon group. Generally on tours guides are engaged, knowledgeable, & fun- this was not our experience on this day. Generally guides are passionate about marine life - this guide clearly wanted to go home. Perhaps he was just having a bad day. I don’t know. But this was meant to be the highlight of our trip. we had much more fun and saw way more marine life snorkeling at our hotel. Also experienced a ton of kicks in the face from other snorkelers unknowingly just not enough space but still very annoying.
The company you contracted with did not send me a meeting time or location for the trip until the morning of the trip. I called and emailed them every day of my cruise. Therefore my family of six missed the trip. I was horrified by the manner Alex Lopex talked to me and felt horrible my grandchildren missed a day of snorkling. I want a credit for this trip and hope you can find someone else to honor your reputation.
I booked this tour because it was a "Top Attraction" on TripAdvisor. Cannot tell you how frustrated I am with the result. First, we booked through "Cucurumbe Tours" and we never saw them. The Tour& communications were actually managed through Chac Choc tours. The marina for departure was a $15 cab ride (and 20 minutes) away from the Ferry from Playa del Carmen. Neither the location of departure nor the extra cab ride was mentioned on the website or email - which would have been very good to know because of the extra expense and time needed. Also, since the marina location was so far from the main part of Cozumel, we had to call a cab and wait to get back into town. Second, the trip we booked was not what was provided. Seems that the afternoon trip (both are listed as the same tour) does NOT go to Palancar reef. We were told onboard (when it was too late) that Palancar Reef is "only for the morning tour". We saw Columbia Reef for 25 minutes, El Cielo for 15 minutes, and spent 45 minutes standing on a sandbar in waist deep water. We could have done that at our hotel. It was really disappointing not to be able to snorkel and see the reefs - which is exactly why we booked this tour. Also, the tour was what seemed to be overbooked. We left the marina with a mostly full boat, and made 2 more stops to pick up people. It is really hard to snorkel with people constantly (albeit unintentionally) hitting and kicking you. On the positive, Columbia Reef was awesome, and the boat crew were good and a lot of fun. Considering all else, there has to be a different tour that will actually take you the places you booked. I cannot recommend this company & tour in any way shape or form.
My daughter arranged this snorkeling tour and requested Andy. Andy was the guide on a previous tour & she was very impressed with his wit & knowledge. I have to say that he certainly lived up to his reputation!! He was very entertaining & gave us details at the points of interest. I must say that I am especially thankful to Andy because for months I had been looking forward to snorkeling for the first time. When I actually got in the water my brain & fear of water (when I can't touch the bottom) kicked in within moments. Andy saw my near panic & immediately came to my side & talked me through my fear. He was so reassuring that he would keep me safe that I was able to enjoy the snorkeling experience. Andy, I am so grateful to you that I didn't miss out!!
If you are looking for the famouse tourquois watter at the Mexican caribean, this is the tour for you. The apointment is quite early to take the ferry at 8 am from playa del Carmen to Cozumel, it takes around 50 min. Once we arrive at the famouse island our tour guide Marcos gave us some inside of the history of Cozumel and the schedule of our Day, we got our jeeps (super Nice by the way). Jeeps máx is 5 pax, so if you are 1 to 3, you Will share the jeep with someone esle, super Nice opportunity to make new friends, my self i share the ride with a familly from Perú though they are living in Montreal now days. We drove around 5 minutos through the Village, then the landscape chage to mangroves and then we arrive at the national Park of "Punta Sur". This tour doesn't stop at the light house but there are other options if you want to enjoi this place. We continued driving on a small road with am amaizing view of the coastline. Finally we arrived at "El Cielo" beach. No seaweed at all! No crawds! Because Is inside of a national parks there Is not big constructions just small "palapas". Bring some extra money if you want to drink or eat something here (not included). I decided to Go for a walk by myself to contemplate the beauttyfull and peacefull view. I had also some time left to swim a little bit and cool me down. After 2 hours of delight, we had to take the road againg for the next stop, Chankanaab Park. Here we had lunch (buffet included) and snorkel (there Is the option to do a discover scuba for first timers, it Is extra AND you hace to let them know at the beginnig of the day). Resume: amaizing day!!!
I went to this tour with a friend i was travelling with. The tour was great : we did 3 stops. It was really good value for money. Better to go when the weather is really nice ! We haven't seen a lot of types of fishes but that doesn't depend on the tour. The last stop is not snorkeling, it is only staying in the water and having snacks and drinks. But the third stop area is amazing !!!
The boat was pretty slow, so made for a very long ride to and from, and the snorkeling was not particularly excellent. I love snorkeling and I love being in the water, but this was a lot of time on a slow boat for only a small amount of time in the water. The second and third stops weren’t really snorkeling, but rather just swim spots, and then beer drinking. That’s fine, I just wanted to snorkel and see more corals, and fish, and other sea life.
We went on this tour as a couple in 2018 with Andy. He was so amazing that we brought our family with us on this tour in May 2019. Andy did not let us down! He is simply the best tour guide there is! Andy made the whole trip fun, enjoyable and we will remember it for a long long time! Thank you Andy!
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this snorkel tour! It’s definitely worth the price & the boat is awesome!! We got plenty of time on the boat and in the water to explore and we had drinks offered to us the whole time! The guides seemed like they were doing their best to make sure everyone was having fun but staying safe, and they speak great english! Would definitely recommend!
We had a great time! They took us to some really cool spots to snorkel. The guides on the boat were very friendly. For those coming in on a cruise, the harbor looks very close on a google map but it is a litter longer of a walk then expected. Take a taxi.
I turned to Dreamland tour ....terrible...I booked a tour from Rome and asked if it was okay to pay on-site in case of any unforeseen events and I was told that it was not a problem...multiple times I asked the guy who manages the tours to send me the location but I received no response.. Arriving in Cozumel, the gentleman would not answer his cell phone and I asked many taxi drivers but no one knew the pier from which the tour departed..At that point, after 20 unanswered calls and for fear of being left without a tour, I purchased the tour from another agency, paying double ..At his convenience, 20 minutes before the tour departure, the gentleman from Dreamland calls me and tells me that they are waiting for me and that I would not be fair if I did not go with them. So, moved by respect and upon confirmation from the Lord of Dreamland, I cancel the tour, lose 40 dollars in penalties, and head to the taxi... halfway there he tells me no, I gave my seat to someone else... so I paid for a taxi, paid 40 dollars in penalties, and a new tour for the second time... obviously I don't recommend it to anyone, just avoid it... he also insulted me heavily.
Lousy experience! He did not recommend the tour at all, travel with my mom and had an accident jumping ship derived from the little attention they put as they let you down how you can into the water, there are 2 guides for 20 people the safety measures are terrible, the life jackets do not fit you and when jumping they rise and your head is underwater, once you reach the destination they only leave you 15 minutes and get back on the boat, you do not enjoy it because they are more worried about returning for the next tour, they must improve in many things, unfortunately do not check their score before, but on Google they only have 2 stars and most reviews are bad, definitely look for another option if they plan to visit Cozumel!
