Cozumel Shore Excursion: Mini-sub Diving Adventure

Awesome experience. Easy to locate with clear instructions after disembarking from our ship. The divers that lead the excursion were friendly and attentive. It was super fun getting to hold the sea animals. Highly recommend this excursion if you’re short on time but still want an adventure while in Cozumel.

This was an exciting experience and fun to do something I’ve never done before. I was a little anxious but the staff did an amazing job with training us and staying with us the entire time. They were kind, patient and friendly. My only issue was with pressure in my ears but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. However, if you have ear or sinus issues, be aware! It’s not anything on the company or the staff but just a caution for you. There was a little smell in the helmets and I would have really liked it if we could have gone into the water while being on the diver bike as some companies do.

Great experience. I was a bit nervous to start with as I don’t like going under water but the guides were fantastic and reassured me throughout the whole experience. So glad I done it. Hubby had a great time too. Definitely recommend 👌👌

You absolutely must try this at least once, even if you don't swim. As long as you're not claustrophobic and can stick your head under water for a few seconds, you will be just fine. Once you're inside the helmet, you breathe normally. The view is unforgettable! You get to see the reef. You get to hold sea creatures. It's beyond amazing!

Simply an amazing excursion, well woth the money. Alonso was an excellent guide. Jesus took amazing pictures and videos. Rafael was an outstanding safety and security expert, ensuring we were headed the right direction and maintained appropriate depth. Jessica was our first point of contact, friendly, helpful and polite escorting us to our meeting point and completing paperwork. We received thorough explanations and information regarding the mini subs including operating instruction, hand signs, backing into the water and getting on the mini sub. Alonso and Rafael found a phenomenal number of different sea animals for us to see up close and hold while Jesus took amazing pictures! This is definitely a MUST DO!

Such an amazing experience! We received thorough explanations and information regarding the mini subs, how they operate, entering the water then the sub itself and how to turn/manuever the mini sub. Alonso was an excellent guide taking us down to depths 15-20 feet or more. He placed so many different sea animals in our hands for up close encounters. Jesus eas our paparazzi/photography and captured so many amazing images and videos. Rafael was our safety diver and did such a tremendousdous job in making sure we were headed the right way and was right beside us in case there were any issues. Jessica was out initial contact, greeted us and directed us where to go and what to do before and after our excursion. Everyone was absolutely amazing friendly and ready to answer any question and ensure we had a great experience. This was a once in a lifetime bucket experience! We cannot recommend this excursion enough! More than worth the money and a definite MUST DO!

This was the best excursion we have ever done! I was so comfortable and happy (even though I don’t know how to swim at all)! My husband and I are so grateful for the team that took care of us.. 100000/10 experience! Completely unforgettable!

Raphael, Angelio, and Hezil (sorry if spelling of these gentlemens names are incorrect) were all very kind, engaging and attentive guides. We thoroughly enjoyed handling the sea creatures underwater and navigating our own submarine. My husband and I are not strong swimmers, yet the equipment and guides are there to keep you safe and secure with plenty of wellbeing checks along the way. The quality of the photos and videos they take for purchase are lovely however the cost to buy them is too high. Other than that you will not regret this once in a lifetime experience!

This is the second time my family has done this excursion. It's awesome! It feels like you are in the world's biggest aquarium. I highly recommend doing this.

Alonso provided an excellent description of what to expect and how to stay safe. Rafael and Jesús got great photos and video of us. We saw tons of fish and a few sting rays. We arrived about an hour early, and they took us directly to training and to the mini subs. It was just the 2 of us, so we had a private tour.

It was absolutely beautiful. My fiancé and I enjoyed every second of it. The host and the dive guides were absolutely incredible. The machinery was easy to operate and the underwater sea life was abundant. We highly recommend this to those that may not dive or be able to dive and yet want to experience the incredible world under the water.

Today's journey under the ocean was simply amazing. Our guides were so great. They explain the whole process and make you feel comfortable getting in the mini sub. We will be back with our family. 10/10 experience for every time you are in Cozumel.

What an amazing experience! I was a little nervous at first, but once I got into it, I completely relaxed and was able to enjoy every moment. It was such a unique experience and something I’ll definitely remember for a long time. We even got the opportunity to hold different sea creatures, which made the experience even more special. Being able to get up close and interact with them was truly magical. 🐚⭐ The whole team were fantastic — friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable throughout the experience. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Cozumel. It’s a brilliant experience and definitely something a little different! The photos and videos are a little pricey, but honestly, they are worth it. How often are you going to get the chance to do something like this? Having the photos and videos to look back on and keep as memories makes it even more worthwhile.

I highly recommend the mini-sub diving adventure! It was an amazing experience! We saw tons of fish, and held a starfish, sea urchin, sea cucumber, and even a puffer fish! The guides were fantastic and very friendly! They let us know exactly what we needed to do and helped calm me down when I got nervous. If you are ever in Cozumel check this Mini-SUB adventure out! You won’t be disappointed!

It was a little scary at first! They were helpful in letting us know about the pressurization of going down. They put many different sea life in our hands lol. Would buy the photos but with all tours kind of pricey. Well worth the tour! Fun riding these mini subs!

The instructor and the rest of the crew were great! They were very informative and took great care of all 6 of us. Even though we had a couple of nervous people in our group, they were patient and took extra special care with them. It was so cool to feed the fish and hold various sea creatures. I’m usually very apprehensive with animals and nature, but I didn’t hesitate one bit to hold starfish and sea cucumbers. Best experience of my life!!!

I was not very impressed by this excursion. We wanted to do the mini-sub and the current was too strong so we were sent to this one. It's basically just walking under water. I see more snorkeling.

Very fun and unique experience! My teenage sons loved it. If you're claustrophobic or uncomfortable with your ears popping it might be a little difficult at first but after your ears pop a couple times it's a really incredible experience. They sell a SD card of photos and videos they take if you want to purchase it afterwards.

Sooo fun - great experience - when they tell you to dunk head to get into the headpiece - take a deep breath and go fast !

We were really looking forward to this minisub excursion in Cozumel, but unfortunately were unable to participate due to how medical restrictions are handled. At check-in, I was denied participation because I use insulin. I am otherwise healthy and have no activity restrictions, so this came as a surprise. While there is a mention of this in the fine print, it is not clearly highlighted, and it was not obvious at the time of booking that insulin use would result in an automatic exclusion. I have been a type 1 diabetic for over 25 years. I am an active, healthy, individual with no other comorbid conditions. What was most frustrating was the lack of clear and consistent explanation from staff. When I asked for clarification, I received conflicting and unclear responses rather than a straightforward explanation of the policy. This made the situation even more confusing and difficult to understand in the moment. Because of how the situation was handled, my husband also chose not to participate, and we missed out on the experience entirely. I would strongly recommend that the company make these restrictions much more visible prior to booking and ensure staff are able to clearly and professionally explain them. This would help avoid situations like ours and allow guests to make informed decisions ahead of time. If you have any medical conditions—especially if you use insulin—I would suggest confirming eligibility directly with the company before booking.

This was such an awesome experience! I would do it again! Jessica, Joaquin and Jesus were great! They explained everything prior to the dive! Took our pictures underwater! We get to see marine life and held them on our hands! I love it!

It was great experience. The divers made us feel very comfortable. There’s also a beach to sit on and a small area you can get into the water to snorkel or swim after and before the experience.

Employees and guides were very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Once I got underwater and started going I got a bit claustrophobic and had to get out. There were no issues with getting me out. They even let us use snorkel gear at no charge.

experience was terrific. They had cancelled the two previous dives. Even if it was cancelled i would have given them a good review due to them looking out for our safety. Loved how there was a guide per person. My wife can't swim and that helped her in and out of the helmet since she had to go under water to get in the helmet. It’s an amazing experience. It’s ok if you don’t know how to swim, the staff will assist you with getting on the machine. Joaquin was great and our photos/ videos came out wonderful.

The staff was very friendly and made sure we felt safe in our experience. It was amazing to be underwater and interact with the fish and sea stars. My only wish would be that it lasted longer! Guess I need to learn to scuba now.

Experience of a life time.. I was terrified .. I don’t swim or scuba dive. The staff were soooo good and guided me in. Once in the helmet and underwater it was easy. We went down 15 ft and feed fish and got to hold conch shells & sea cucumber. One of the most memorable experiences on Cozumel
