Wonderful Day at Playa Palancar Beach Club in Cozumel! 🌴☀️ We had a wonderful day at Playa Palancar with friends! The beach was absolutely beautiful, with soft white sand and crystal-clear blue water. There was something for everyone to enjoy, from snorkeling and kayaking to swimming and simply relaxing on the beach. The food was great, and the unlimited drinks made the day even better! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. We especially appreciated arriving to find our beach chairs with umbrellas and a daybed already waiting for us. It was the perfect day in paradise, filled with beautiful scenery, fun activities, great food and drinks, and wonderful company. We couldn’t have asked for a better beach day in Cozumel! Highly recommend Playa Palancar Beach Club if you’re looking for a beautiful beach and a relaxing, fun-filled day! 🌊🍹

We were really looking forward to this day out. The beach, Location and service is great, but the food was disappointing and the drinks were lacking! The beverage selection was good but the drinks themselves were syrupy and sweet, even the margaritas. There was white wine and Moredelo on the menu but they had run out of them before the day begun! Bring your own towel and snorkel gear. I’m sure there are better beach days to be had!
I cannot recommend this place enough. Excellent service and food, we were beyond impressed with everything. I would highly recommend.
All inclusive day at the beach with my family. It was a very quiet and private beach area. Food and drinks all freshly prepared. Service was very fast too.
Great place to swim in the beach but it seems too expensive on what you get. To be charged almost 100 usd to be on the beach and have some free drinks and some food 😏
Absolutely beautiful, staff and owner are very helpful, kind and attentive. If you are looking for a peaceful day definitely the place to visit. I purchase the all inclusive with included food and drinks 10/10. Thank you for such an amazing experience!
You may want to pass on this "beach club" if you are in Cozumel. The photos are not reflective of the property - they are definitely enhanced with filters. We came for the day and deeply regretted this decision. If you do not pay for the all inclusive day pass, expect to be ignored during your stay. And when I say ignored, I mean they will not approach you regarding drink/food orders. When we received our bill for the day (two mixed drinks and three plates of food) the total was $180! When we asked to clarify, the waiter recalculated and said it was $96. Had we not questioned it, we would have paid nearly $100 more for mediocre drinks and food coupled with bad service. If you are in Cozumel, choose a different spot if you truly want a nice beach experience. This is so-called beach club is located right next door to the very loud and crowded Kuza Beach and Adventure Park which definitely takes away from the tranquil beachfront that was promised. Additionally, Playa Palancar looks like a run down version of Giligan's Island with no Skipper or Ginger in sight! The beach/sand was not soft as promised - you had to brave over large rocks before you could get to the soft part of the ocean floor. My daughter cut her feet on multiple rocks. Also a lot of debris/seaweed despite the website stating no seaweed on their beach. Do yourself a favor and pass on this falsity oasis. We sure wish we had!
We were traveling as a multigenerational family, we were staying in Playa Del Carmen. Because of the Sawgrass problem along the beaches in Playa, we decided to go to Cozumel for the day. Wanted the grandchildren to experience the white sandy beaches and beautiful blue waters. This place did not disappoint. Can’t say enough positive things about our experience. The beaches ., the water . The staff was amazing.. made sure we were taken care of. Part of the family took a snorkel boat tour, they saw starfish, stingrays, lots of fish, they loved it. We had lunch on the beach – I had a grilled lobster, my husband and son had fresh red snapper. It was terrific. Would highly recommend checking them out.
Get the VIP experience! I had a FAB time! The food was delicious. The drinks were scrumptious! And the staff was very kind. It was nice having a semi private beach to simply relax on. No vendors! Just beauty and relaxation. Can't wait to come back one day.
I’ll always remember you Playa Palancar! We just returned from here in April 2026 and gorgeous is an understatement. The water was beautiful crystal clear blue water, very minimal rocks when you first step into water, not crowed at all, ceviche was top notch. Staff was very friendly, even helped shoo off a racoon for us lol! If you are a traveler seeking a peaceful time at a beautiful beach for a reasonable price of $20 for basic entry, this is the one!
If I could give this zero stars, I would. We made our reservations back in March for an April visit because we heard it could sell out. We paid $184 for 8 people. We had a lovely driver who asked us if we had reservations because he had heard that they were sold out for the day. We told him we had already paid and were all set. When we arrived at Playa Palancar, they were turning cars away because they were completely sold out. Our driver let them know we had reservations, but they would not let us in. After much back and forth between the driver, their gatekeeper, the manager (on the phone) and ourselves, we were allowed on the property to try and get our money back. The manager was so rude and had such an attitude. I am a native Spanish speaker, and we were trying to talk to him reasonably, and he was just a real jerk. Our driver was mortified that this was the first taste we were getting of their island. There was another family in front of us who had taken cabs there. The first cab that arrived got in, and the second one didn't, so the guy was standing there begging them to let their daughter in, and they wouldn't. They finally offered to let us sit in their restaurant and order food and drink if we wanted, but we didn't want to spend another dime on them. Thanks goodness Chase Bank credited me back our money. Our lovely driver, Ary, took us to Carlos 'N Charlie's beach club and it was truly wonderful. Would highly recommend that as an alternative.
Drinks are good and so is the food. Service and staff are wonderful. The nest they gave us was a perfect balance of sun and shade. I wish they are more clear in the description that the bar and kitchen close way before 5pm. The beach is nice and cared for and I appericate the music is not too loud so you can enjoy. Not much going on as far as things to see when you snorkle but I am a diver so I have high expectations. They do not provide towels and only one restroom. I think we got our moneys worth . I wish the cruise ship people would be more respectful of others. Many guests are not repectful of others experience. Worth a day to relax at a sandy beach since most of the island beaches are rocky.
We scheduled the VIP experience on St Patty day based on suggestions from Facebook posts. The day was not very nice and the beach was in poor shape. I expected more for the money in quality amenities. The staff did a great job serving and the food was good. The sargassum was all over the beach and the staff just kept raking it to dry it out rather then have equipment to remove it. The Kandu beach club beside us had a nice cleared beach and they removed any sargassum. The shower was bad, changing rooms were just two closets under the stairs with a curtain and bathrooms in poor shape. We snorkled and saw nothing other than a stingray coming in as we were leaving. I suggest another club in the future!
very small area for a lot of people. food not great. service wonderful good showers and restrooms. i don’t think it was worth the price.
Our person to assist us while here was Johnny. Very attentive. Water was very clear, but the VIP side beach walk in was rocky, so be sure you bring water shoes. The snorkeling was fantastic. If you need a taxi at the end of your day, ask your attendant to get on for you. Food menu selection was great and the drink menu expansive. Be sure to bring a towel. We had a great time!
I have visited Cozumel more than a dozen times but never been to Playa Planacar beach club. I was intimidated by the pictures and decided to go there and I regretted that I went to that club. The beach is nice and beautiful but the facility is very old and need renovations, only one shower was working in the whole club and looked like a shower in a Boy Scout camp and the worst part is the impolite manager who needs to go study hospitality. He needs to learn how to talk to the guests and explain things politely. Unfortunately the manger Rodriguez portia was very rude with the guests and threatening them to bring the police and fine the guests $100. The threat started at the entrance and continued even at the beach. We shouldn’t have entered but it was too late after paying the taxi and the entrance fee for 2 big families. Not to mention the food there is horrible you can get sick even by the look at the food. The waiters are demanding. This place is like an ATM machine they will continue to rip you off every few minutes. I recommend going to other nicer clean beach clubs like Paradise beach or Kuza. Even for VIP all inclusive pass this place doesn’t worth it at all it is a rip off.
We went to Playa Palancar for a beach break on a Royal Caribbean Cruise with our whole family, everyone loved swimming in the crystal Clearwater and seeing the marine life and getting to enjoy the food and drinks with the full service of the open bar. Service in Playa Palencar was excellent, and Victor was attentive and prompt. Several of the staff worked for Playa Mia Beach club prior to its purchase and service was truly excellent. The beach was not crowded and they had fun water bikes and other beach activities available with no line. Drink and food quality was excellent and everyone found something they loved on the menu, even for picky eaters. Our only callout is that the break was a little short at 3.5 hours. We highly recommend Royal Caribbeans Playa Palencar a beach break in Cozumel Mexico.
This little beach club is a hidden gem. The staff and service is amazing and such a sandy level beach that you can walk out a long ways and snorkel from the shore. It had a chill vibe and they limit the crowd which was exactly what we were looking for. Gabriel our server was outstanding! We didn’t the VIP all inclusive package with food drinks snorkel gear and paddle boards. Would go again in a heartbeat. Can is 15.00pp each way as it’s a 15 min ride from the pier.
Not crowded. Very attentive waiter. Food was good. Drinks were strong. Beautiful water. Would be my first choice if I return.
Tired and shabby for $US20 entry fee which only gets you 2 old heavy wooden sun lounges under an old canvas umbrella and access to their change rooms. Towels are an extra $US6 each. Beach had seaweed (even in November). Raccoons are everywhere sniffing around your stuff. Beers were cold. There looked to be better options next door and further along the beach.
Such a beautiful day at the vip all inclusive! Great people, great food, drinks at the beach is amazing! All the staff are awesome! I will be back!
We spent a week shooting on the gorgeous beach at the Playa Palancar VIP Beach Club and it was everything we hoped for and more! Incredibly friendly staff, super accommodating. We were beyond taken care of and always hydrated by the wonderful beach club bar. We had a variety of blended alcoholic + N/A drinks (esp recommend the suelos!!) My clients + crew could not have had a better experience, the beach is stunning, there are beautiful and comfortable beach setups/chairs/hammocks/tables. Everything you could need. We are so grateful to the team for making our shoot a success. The food is also delicious! We all can't wait to go back and relax. My clients also had a great time snorkeling, the water is crystal clear, blue skies, white sandy beaches!
The place was perfect, we had special time with Louis at the beach and Filippo for snorkeling the best of the world we saw Tortuga and Crocodile and other fish , they are very nice person and you can find a Better solution for the price , and good price!
We had a wonderful day at Playa Palancar. The beach is nice soft sand. The water is calm and warm with an immense protected swimming area. Only $20 to enter. Big umbellas, nice chaises. Nice changing rooms. Showers. Drink and food served at your chaise. Very pleasant welcoming staff. The optional snorkeling trip was excellent with 2 good guides. Crystal clear water.
Exceptional beach club. We went there 2 times during our stay. Perfect welcome and organization. Top-notch service. Everything was perfect, the beach was magnificent, the quiet, the food, and the perfect welcome. When we returned, the manager recognized us and offered us towels. Thank you, we will come back next year to spend a day in this little corner of paradise.
Paradise beach even during the seaweed season Excellent service Optimal quality/price ratio (paid in pesos) Everyone is kind and thinks of everything you need; they even call the taxi for you, which arrives in a minute. I would return immediately. Congratulations to all the staff, especially to Jonny.
Very nice intimate place, amazing service and very friendly and competent staff. The food and drinks were very good. There were 4 of us and we are all delighted with our day.
There were two of us here and had booked the VIP all inclusive. Sun loungers with umbrella and shower we could also use. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Both the food and drinks were excellent.
A very bad experience. A VIP who is not one. Exorbitant rates for content. Low-end food.!
Cozumel center is very pretty, similar to other towns in Mexico. To get to the beach clubs you have to take a taxi. They are half an hour from the center. The Plancar club with twenty dollars per person includes sun loungers and umbrellas. It also offers a choice of menus. The sea is crystal clear and the sand as white as flour.
Nice beach with lots of stranded shells. We took a paid snorkeling ride and saw: rays, turtles and a nurse shark.
The beach is beautiful, with very clean and very hot water, but we were stolen when we went to Snorkeling, by the man who drove the boat. Even when I was in the water I noticed that he was moving in our bag that had left on the boat. When I got to the hotel I confirmed-stole-in the money (50€). Don't be fooled by this thief. Outside it (which is very bad) the beach and beautiful
