Sergio was great fun. So funny and always looking out for our comfort. Great way to spend a day and see the Island.

Our guide will be waiting for you directly across the street from the Cozumel ferry dock at Palmeras restaurant and wearing a Blue or White uniform with our Jeep Riders logo on it.
Itinerary
Your adventure starts at the customized meeting point. Our guide will reception you and your family with a quick speach as well as go over any questions and custom requests you may have. Then it is time to jump in your jeep and head out to the Tequila ranch.
Once you arrive, you will be greeted by the ranch family, and learn about Mexico's most famous beverage, Tequila! Experience the flavors, colors and aromas of Tequila and learn about its distillation process. Make sure to pay a visit to the local animals on site. Cows, chickens, sheep and more
After the fun at Rancho Alejandra, we are off to the East side of Cozumel island to stop at the first virgin beach, Chen Rio. Here there is a lagoon with our Crocodile friend "Ancho" who can be seen sometimes sunbathing. On the beach side of Chen Rio, there is a rock formation in the water that creates a safe spot to get in the water like a kiddie pool.
Here in El Cedral we will drive down along a scenic jungle road and into the first town of Cozumel as well as learn learn a little about its history. Here you will find a neighborhood of quiet ranch style homes throughout the dense Cozumel Jungle. In the middle of the towns center is a huge palapa where during certain times of the year there are big festivities as well as a beautiful statue of a Mexican couple dressed in their traditional clothing called "Los Mestizos". You will also find one of Cozumel's first Catholic church build right next to an ancient Mayan Temple.
Put on your adventure hat because it is time to go exploring into the wild. Drive along the bumpy offroad path deep into the Mayan Jungle and learn about its flora and fauna until we arrive to Cozumel's biggest known Cenote. Unlike the massive Cenotes in Yucatan, this one is a little different. The cenote Jade or originally named "Chempita" is a smaller Cenote with winding stairs so you can climb down in to it. Here our guide will teach you some history about Cenotes as well as show you some of the local species. Many times you will find bats peacefully hanging upside down sleeping, waiting for the sun to go down so they can find something to eat.
After the exploration time tin El Cedral and Jade Cenote, , it's time for a deserved beach break. Once we arrive to the beach club, our friendly guide will accommodate your family at a table and show you the facilities. Bar, bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, and lounge chairs are all included. Order up your included Mexican lunch with a choice of chicken, beef or fish fajitas. After eating, our guide will get you set up with snorkeling gear and give you a rundown on how to use the equipment. The visibility is outstanding in the Caribbean waters. You will be sure to see an array of different species of colorful tropical fish as you swim above the coral reef system. In the water are also floating toys and a trampoline that you are welcome to climb on. Or you can choose to sit back on a waterfront lounge chair as you catch some rays of sun and listen to the waves gently crashing along the beach shore. There is not much in the world that is more relaxing than a nice beach break.
Finally, when you are done snorkeling, it is time to go with your guide back to the meeting point where you where picked up.

We had the pleasure of having a wonderful day with this lady named Katy. She did a fantastic job with showing us around the island. She took care of us, stayed with us the whole time.
Excellent experience. I recommend highly. Pick up and drop off was super easy. The company was in touch with me before the meet time to make sure everything went smoothly. I would book again. Fernando was great.
Fernando was nothing short of amazing. Picked us up on time had a great time at the tequila tasting. Had some great photo op spots. It was raining off and on but that didn’t stop us. The cenote was awesome. I made the jump from the top. The beach break was good and that’s the only thing I would change. I wanted to snorkel longer but we had a little less than an hour by the time we got there. But once there it was beautiful and the sun was out. Plenty of fish to see. 10/10. Must do. All the info he gave was top tier!!
We had the best time on our Cozumel tour with Fernando! We enjoyed a honey tasting at Bee Friendly and learned about stingless bees and got to sample their delicious honey. Fernando was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had a great time throughout the day. He took us to Jade Cavern, which was such a unique and memorable experience. We got to explore the caves, saw hundreds of bats flying around, and admired a coati. Fernando also drove us to various photo spots and took the best pics! The delicious lunch at Money Bar Beach Club was the perfect way to finish our adventure. Fernando was an excellent guide, and we truly appreciated his hospitality and attention to detail. We highly recommend booking a tour with him if you’re visiting Cozumel! 🌴🌟
Fernando was an amazing tour guide, he is extremely knowledgeable in Cozumel’s history and answered any and every questions we had during our tour. 100/10 recommend! He also kept us away from tourist attractions, during our 5hr visit!
Sergio was fantastic!! He was knowledgeable and friendly and took us on a wonderful tour. Our first stop at Rancho Alejandro to discover the tequila making process was extremely interesting and informative, and the tequila was delicious! Seeing both ends of the island, eating lunch by the beach, seeing the first Catholic church on the island, and meeting a crocodile were other highlights. The Jade cenote itself was very neat, complete with bats, stalactites, and amazing views inside this large cenote. The road down to the ceote was quite the adventure too!! Our only complaint would be with the company's vehicle maintenance....one of the Jeeps began overheating due to a broken/ worn-out belt, and our wonderful guide called it in twice before we were sent a different vehicle. However, even with the small transportation issue, I would recommend this trip for anyone who wants to see the real Cozumel and not just the touristy sections. It was a wonderful day with great friends, fantastic food, and beautiful scenery.
Sergio was our guide and he was fantastic! Along with Tanya who was training. They have a cooler with complimentary water, beer and soda which was great with it being super hot in August. First I would like to say they let you customize this tour to whatever you like. I was traveling with my husband and my three children ages 21, 22 and 25. My 25 year old son got to drive the jeep, so he was thrilled. It is no surprise they wanted this first stop at a tequila tasting shop. I enjoyed learning about how tequila is made. They of course want you to buy something at the end, but you can just say no. You can also skip this if you don’t enjoy drinking. Next we headed to Playa Chen Rio. We saw a crocodile, climbed up some lava rocks on the beach and got a coco loco served in a fresh coconut at the family run stand. Next we headed to the blow holes. On our way there a turtle release open air bus was pulled to the side of the road. Sergio pulled over so we could watch. Unfortunately no one was there, but this shows how thoughtful Sergio was to make sure we had the best experience possible. We all climbed to the blowhole and were able to get our picture there. It was a lot of fun getting sprayed by the ocean water. Next we went to the cenote at Jade cavern. The road to get there is bumpy. We were laughing and having fun at getting bounced all around. There are fruit bats here but they do not harm you. There is a slight smell of sulphur due to the bat dung. There was an opening in the cave that was about 3 meters high. The three kids jumped from there. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We headed to the Money Bar after that. You can shower off here. We had a free lunch of fish or chicken tacos or burritos, then we went snorkeling. We saw an eel, parrot fish, clown fish, trumpet fish and a lot of other fish too. The whole day was great! Sergio and Tanya did everything to make this excursion unforgettable! They even took pictures and videos of us for no extra charge and sent them to us through the What’s app.
Catalina was amazing. She customized the day to fit our needs and the day flowed very well. She had a cooler of refreshments for us to enjoy and made sure we were prepared for each stop. If you want more than a beach day, you should definitely consider this!
This tour was great. Ricardo was a fantastic guide. It was really nice that we could adjust the schedule to do different things. It was neat to see Cozumel from a different perspective. We really enjoyed the cenotes and the beach club, along with everything that we did in between! I would definitely recommend this tour and would tell everyone to ask for Ricardo as their guide!
This experience delivered exactly what we were looking for: a little bit of everything without any stress. We stopped by the WWII planes first due my husband's interest in history and then learned about the tequila making process with quite a few small samples - the small tostada afterwards was helpful for soaking it all up! The main tequila guide was great and not pushy (though some of the other vendors were). Then out to the cenote where we spotted wildlife, climbed in a small cave, and watched others take the jump into the water. Finally some time to snorkel and relax at the beach - fish and coral were sparse but the water was calm and cool on a hot day. Lunch was simple and fresh. Katy our guide was wonderful - knowledgeable, easy to chat with, and took great care of us throughout the day. If you've reached the birdwatching stage of life, this is the tour for you.
Our family of six booked this tour with Sergio and Tonya acting as our guides. They were both absolutely amazing. Even though we were booking the Jade Cavern tour they did give us an option to choose an alternate cenote if we liked. Which we did, we also saw the blow holes on the east side, had a lot of fun at the tequila tasting, and very tasty lunch at the money bar. Sergio and Tonya were very gracious and knowledgeable hosts. They both were very personable and took care to make sure we had the best day. We were still talking about our experience at dinner tonight. We all had such a great time and agreed that we would definitely do again on our next visit to Cozumel. - Thank you JeepRiders!!!
FERNANDO EMIR was a great tour guide! He showed us the past, and present culture of Cozumel! He shared how he grew up in the island which my boys enjoyed listening to.
We recommend this tour. Our family enjoyed this. Of the three stops on our cruise, we probably enjoyed this stop the most. A couple items to be aware of. First, for a group of 5 or more, be prepared to drive your own jeep and follow the guide in a seperate car. We were not prepared. Second, the second stop for us was a waste of time that affected the other stop timing. It was tequila, chocolate, and honey tasting [and a Mayan "fire dance" demonstration] at a building somewhere in downtown metropolis (looks like a Jeep dealer or garage from the road). Everyone was fine there, not too pushy. And the fire dance was neat. But, we were not interested in these products [same chocolate was cheaper at the cruise terminal shops btw]. In my mind when booking this tour I thought we would see a little how they MAKE these products...not just sales pitches in a "shop." Bring cash for tips. Everything else was great! We wish we had more time to snorkel and to shop at the small local beach shops, but more a ship schedule problem with 3pm return time (or if we skipped the hour at the second stop). My kids still talk about the food we got and how good it was!
Fernando was a fantastic guide! He had a lot of information about the area its history. As a local, you could tell that he has a lot of passion for his island and wants people to love it as much as he does. He answered all of our questions and was super friendly and helpful. We were there celebrating my partners' birthday and he made sure that we ended at the beach club with tequila shots and cake :). He was also a great photographer and took pics of us in all the pretty places along the way. We had a really great time and would definitely recommend to friends. Muchas gracias, Fernando!
Jon was an incredible guide. Very knowledgeable, pleasant, and fun to tour with. Would highly recommend a tour with Jon
Fernando was our guide and he was very respectful and knowledgeable. I would recommend him. He understood are likes and dislikes and customized our tour accordingly. With all respect, the cenote is not great, the water looks like it doesn’t recycle, that should be changed for another activity or another cenote if available . Tequila tasting and lunch were good. Thanks for a great time!
Fernando was a great tour guide. He was always making sure that we were doing well and were happy. He shared a lot of his life in Cozumel and educated us on life there. The Jade Cenote was beautiful and the tour was well worth the money.
One of the cars the A/C and seatbelts weren't working. We were this little kids and it made the excursion harder. Other than that our guide Katy was very kind and we still were able to have fun.
John was awesome, very good tour
Fantastic day with Fernando. Learnt lots and had some laughs along the way. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Fernando and the team.
Jared was a great guide. He went out of his way to show us his beautiful island that he is clearly very proud of. He took us to the wilder side of the island with some beautiful beaches to view and take pictures. Jade Cavern was very impressive and we enjoyed watching the braver souls jumping in. My husband had a dip but I didnt bother. The Tequilla tasting was fun and informative. Lunch at the beach was delicious and then Jared took us on a guide snorkel with equipment and instructions provided. There was just the two of us which was nice as we were expecting a large jeep with other people. Highly recommend this trip.
Our tour guide Brandon was amazing but beyond that, the rest of the tour was sub par. The majority of our excursion was spent driving. We saw two beautiful cenotes, went through an informative presentation on how Tequila is made, then we were pressured to purchase $85-$150 bottle of tequila. We were taken to a lunch spot where we could order fajitas, quesadillas, or tacos but had to purchase our drinks, not even water was included. It was a windy day & were told water activities weren’t allowed. The 2 hour snorkeling & beach club experience didn’t happen. We weren’t given this information ahead of time or we would have rescheduled for a different day. Basically, we spent almost $400 to see two cenotes, a small lunch, & a sample of tequila. Don’t waste your money!
Great experience from beginning to end. Jared was a fantastic, very kind and knowledgeable host. Thanks for the insights, your time and the great memories for my family.
Fernando was a excellent tour guide who truly had his customers in mind on what they were looking for wanting to do and making sure everything was going smoothly. He was very kind and courteous along with the great knowledge that he had about the culture and history. If you want a great tour with a great tour guide, I highly suggest Fernando as he truly cares about his clients! It was a excellent tour with the stop at a tequila factory, the bat caves where you can jump into the lagoon, scenic stops at the beaches along the coast and then we had a fantastic lunch at the money bar that had great food and drinks and afterwards we got to swim and snorkel! Thank you again for everything. It was a blast!
We had an amazing tour in Cozumel with Fernando! From the start, he made us feel like family. He’s incredibly knowledgeable—his family has lived on the island for generations—and he shared so many fascinating historical stories. We loved the tequila tasting; unlike other tours that can feel pushy, this one was relaxed and enjoyable, and the tequila was delicious! Our daughters had a blast following the chickens and even got to hold baby chicks. Fernando took us to so many incredible spots on the East side, including breathtaking views and a blow hole. Off-roading in a jeep to Jade Caverns and seeing the gorgeous cenote was unforgettable. We ended the day at a fantastic West side beach club, complete with a sandy beach, pool, and a huge inflatable water obstacle course, plus a delicious included lunch. Fernando even let us stay an extra hour so we could soak it all in.
Very enjoyable. The cenotes and snorkeling at the beach were our favorites. The driver and tour guide was friendly, helpful and we never felt rushed.
Guide was amazing however I felt lunch that is included is very limited. The drive to the cave was very long and I felt the area was just ok. Not worth all the time to get there. I would have preferred to go to a beach
John was absolutely incredible - super knowledgeable and had great energy! The cenotes were stunning and we had an excellent time exploring the other side of the island. Would highly recommend!
I would give our guide Ricardo 6 stars if I could but I have to rate the experience as a whole. I took away a star due to the communication issues we had. I reached out two days before the excursion to confirm the correct meeting place and did not get a response. Someone from the company did reach out to me the day before asking which cruise ship we were on but I was on the cruise ship with no internet access so I never got the message. After getting into the cruise port I realized that there is more than one cruise port in Cozumel and that I picked a meeting point closer to a different port than our ship was in. I reached out through the Viator app the morning of the excursion, 4 messages to be exact, about correcting the location, potentially walking to the other location, getting a taxi, etc? Never heard from anyone. We did end up taking a taxi instead of walking the 2.5 miles to the other location because we would not have made it to the location by the designated start time. It was not really clear where at the location/address we were supposed to wait, it was a plaza with several shops and stores, we asked some of the locals and they told us to "wait by the lighthouse, they will be here" and "they usually wear blue shirts". Ricardo did arrive to pick us up and off we went, all be it a few mintues late. Ricardo was a great guide. He seemed very knowledgable about and proud of his country and seemed to genuinely enjoy showing us around. We did forgo the snorkeling portion of the trip due to very cool temps and beginning to rain. It appeared to be an area near where we ate lunch, just walk out to the beach and into the water, it was not a location requiring boat access. The Jade Caverns were a neat experience as well, someone from another group did jump off the top into the cavern below and we had the opportunity as well but declined. The road to get to the caverns was VERY bumpy and might not be best for someone with back or neck problems. The stop at the tequila ranch was as expected. We are not big drinkers but was pleasantly suprised at the tequila tasting. We were not pressured to buy any, it was available but I did buy an expensive souvenir (limited options and double what you would pay near the port) from there because I felt guilty not buying the tequila. I would recommend having very clear directions and clarity about which cruise ship you will be coming in on and the correct meeting point to begin your trip and should be smooth sailing from there well before the start of the experience.
We had a great time in Cozumel and a wonderful tour with Amato! We appreciated that these tours are customizable and it was just the two of us, so we got to see a little more of the local side as well as the tourist spots and learned about local culture from Amato. Thank you!
Fernando was absolutely amazing! English was great, so knowledgeable in the history of the island and the Mayans . Would highly recommend. So friendly, so accommodating.
We had the best time on this trip. Ricardo was great and so knowledgeable. We had the best time, we learned so many new things about Cozumel I never knew. The lunch was amazing at a the most beautiful place. Thank you for the birthday surprise for my husband, he was surprised! I would likely recommend this tour and ask for Ricardo!
4 adults- my wife, brother and his wife. Our guide drove the four of us in a/c Jeep. Long ride to Ceynote but very rewarding- lots of history, geology, unique experience. Highlight of trip was visit to tequila shop. Incredibly educational, enjoyed sampling 7 different tequilas- quality stuff, smooth as coke or tea; had no idea tequila could be that enjoyable with no lime or salt- like sampling the finest bourbons. From there we drove to beach club- we chose to skip snorkeling, and ate and drank instead (reasonably priced, excellent food, but not included in tour price). Although the tour price did include ice cold beer and water throughout the trip. Used time saved by skipping snorkeling to visit market for souvenirs and jewelry- quality stuff, good pricing. Overall a trip that I would recommend to all older adults.
We had a great time with Señor Pastor. He was hilarious, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We had a wonderful time exploring the island and seeing some great sights. The tequila tasting was a highlight and changed my entire drinking world. My only note is that the lunch ended up not being included despite the experience saying it would be. However, I felt we got absolutely plenty of value from the tour (including all sorts of free drinks along the way and having our own private guide), so this wasn’t a problem for us. Just wanted to point it out for anyone else booking in case that’s an important consideration.
Fernando was a wonderful tour guide. It was just our family of four. The tequila stop was super fun as was the cenote. If I was to take the tour again, I would skip the beach stops in the beginning, while they are beautiful, the kids and I loved the beach club at the end. The slides and trampoline were hits with the kids and I enjoyed relaxing on a lounge chair with a drink!
The family had a really nice time. Diego was our guide. He was very professional, flexible and friendly. He answered all of our questions. Unfortunately, there were six of us so we had to split up into two jeeps which meant some were in the other Jeep without Diego to explain and discuss what we were seeing on the move. Part of our activities had to be canceled due to rough waters equaling red flags so our snorkeling had to be abandoned. We did, however, spend extra time on the eastern beaches where it was rocky, and the water was safe enough for my grandchildren to swim. The only difficulty I had was understanding what Diego was saying due to his heavy accent.
Very customizable experience. Our group had no drinkers, so we opted to skip the tequila tasting without any issue. We spent more time at a beach on the east side of the island with our little kids (age 6-12) and they loved it. Ricardo was very accommodating and we loved his passion and knowledge of the island.
We had a great guide Caterina who made sure our trip was as enjoyable as possible. She was very informative. Trip was done at our pace and was very relaxed and enjoyable. Jeep had air con and Caterina kept us well hydrated with her supply of drinks. Beach club was lovely too
Wonderful driver guide. Long drive with not much to see. Went to a lovely cave, but the drive was the worst drive over a none paved gravel terrible road. Do an ATV torn better
We had a fantastic experience! We cannot say enough good things about Paco—he is an absolute gem of a guide. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and his passion for Cozumel really shone through. He made sure we had flexibility at every stop and never felt rushed, which made the day so relaxing. Paco provided a fascinating overview of the island’s history and ensured we got the full local experience. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling and seeing the incredible wildlife in the reef area. It was also neat to see the Jade Caverns; even though they are a different style of cave than the 'walk-through' caverns we are used to (more of an open structure), it was a cool and unique sight to see."
Pack was a fantastic knowledgeable tour guide! He told us so much history which was wonderful. I felt like we saw so much of Cozumel. We did the cenote cavern, Mayan temple, wonderful lunch of fajitas, snorkeling, tequila tasting, chocolate tasting, and an island tour. It was just us so time spent in each place was up to us. I would definitely recommend and ask for Paco!
This was the perfect tour. We truly had a personal guide for just the three of us, flexible time and got to see MANY things around Cozumel that we never knew existed. Keep in mind that you need to climb in and out of a Jeep, but it was the perfect vehicle for our adventure. Fernando was the sweetest guide ever and we would ask for him again! He was so very polite, a careful driver, patient with all of our questions and quite engaging. He loves his country and it shows. His english was wonderful and by the time we were done with our tour, we felt like friends. We stopped by historical places of interest, we went to the tequila farm and wished we had more money to spend there; I've never tasted anything so YUMMY! I've read other reviews that felt that stop was a pressured sale, but we didn't experience that AT ALL. Don't forget to try the homemade guacamole made from the tree right next to the stand! Fernando made sure we saw the beautiful beaches and picture stops while protecting us from eager shop owners if we didn't want to engage. We got to see the divots in the sand where the turtle nests were which would be quite the sight to see when those are active. Can you even imagine?!? Next, the Jade Cenote was so unique! Even getting there was an experience ;) Don't worry about the bats as they don't care about the people, but it is mesmerizing and engrossing to watch THEM. Fernando gave us our choice of lunch spot with details of each making the decision hard. I don't think you could go wrong either way, but we chose the resort on the beach that had delicious fajitas delivered on hot cast iron pans. I can't recommend the drinks as I was hoping for an "out of this world" margarita but was sorely disappointed (especially for $25). Don't forget, water and beer are provided while in the Jeep with your guide, but drinks at the lunch spot are extra. While at this resort, there's plenty of shade but also plenty of beach chairs to sit in the sun. Swimming and snorkeling were available and many inflatables were out in the ocean to play on. The music was fun and atmosphere lively. At the end of the tour Fernando asked if there was anything special we'd like to see, do or ask about (ask about black coral). He went out of his way to help me find a photo book that I collect when we travel. Unfortunately we couldn't find one, but I appreciated greatly the effort and consideration he took to try to accommodate my request! This tour was a delight. No big group, one on one conversations and truly a personal experience. We spent the day in an air conditioned vehicle, stayed clean driving through the mud (unlike ATV tours) and headed back to our ship with a smile and renewed respect for Cozumel. Well done, Fernando and Jeep Tours!
Sergio was awesome!! Took us around Cozumel and showed us different areas. Saw 2 crocodiles and was able to hold an iguana. Would highly recommend using this company and ask for Sergio.
Absolutely fantastic! We had a wonderful time! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, we got to see a lot of the island from a sea blow hole to a bat cave. Highly recommended!
We had an excellent time today with Fernando in Jeep riders. Our tour was fantastic! You can tell he is very passionate about where he lives. We definitely will be using Fernando again in the near future when we visit cozumel! Thanks for a great day fernando!
Fernando did a excellent job today on our tour of Cozumel. I highly recommend him. The tour was safe and fun and you can really tell that he’s passionate about where he lives. I highly recommend him and we definitely will book again with Jeep riders.
Great experience, Fernando was a great tour guide and we had an amazing time! He knew lots about everything and made it very easy for us to have lots of fun.
Fernando was a wonderful guide. He knew so much about the area, showed us what we wanted to see and was a great host to my 2 sons and I. I would definitely return to Cozumel and use his services again.
We had an amazing day! The excursion was really well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. Our guide Fernando was fantastic — very professional, kind, and always attentive to everyone’s comfort. His driving was also exemplary. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and a memorable day!
