This was a very well tour and the guides were natives themselves. We stolled though the remains of many structures with foundations a a few wall layers of the village. I was amazing to see how precise the fit of curved walls and size of blocks. The skills of mason were very easy to appreciate.

Itinerary
Meet your guide at MEGA Soriana Supermarket in Downtown Cozumel and set off to discover a side of the island that reaches far beyond the beach. Make it a social day with fellow travelers on the shared tour, or enjoy it privately with a vehicle and guide reserved for your group. Both options include the full itinerary. Once everyone is ready, board your transportation and head toward San Gervasio. Explore a sacred site dedicated to Ixchel, the Maya goddess associated with fertility, medicine, midwifery, and weaving. Walk among the ancient structures and learn why Maya women from across the region once made pilgrimages to this important sanctuary. Continue your journey into Maya culture with the story of cacao and the origins of chocolate, followed by a hands-on demonstration of traditional tortilla making—a delicious way to experience traditions passed down through generations.
Continue around Cozumel on a scenic drive showcasing another side of the island. Take in the Caribbean coastline, natural landscapes and brilliant turquoise waters, with panoramic stops along the way for those must-have Cozumel photos. Along the journey, stop at Hacienda Tequila to discover the history behind one of Mexico's most famous spirits and enjoy a tequila tasting before continuing your exploration of the island. Enjoy the changing scenery as you make your way across Cozumel toward the final—and most relaxing—part of your adventure.
Now it's time to experience the Caribbean side of Cozumel. Arrive at a premier beach club, where a reserved area with beach chairs and umbrellas awaits just steps from the turquoise sea. Grab your snorkeling gear and head into Cozumel's clear Caribbean waters to explore the reef and discover the colorful marine life beneath the surface. Swim above the reef, take in the underwater scenery and experience firsthand why Cozumel is famous for its spectacular waters. Back on shore, trade your snorkeling gear for a beach chair and slow things down. Relax beneath an umbrella with a refreshing welcome drink, cool off in the Caribbean or simply enjoy the view—this is your time to make the most of Cozumel's beach life. When it's time to leave, board your transportation for the return journey to MEGA Soriana Supermarket in Downtown Cozumel, ready to head back to your cruise ship after a memorable day exploring the island.

This ended up being the highlight of our NCL cruise. The snorkeling was beautiful and easy for all experience levels, and the guide made sure everyone was comfortable. Even though it was a shared tour, it felt personal and fun. Would absolutely recommend this to other cruise travelers.
We were sailing on Virgin Voyages and loved how this tour combined culture and relaxing time. Visiting the Mayan ruins was very interesting, and the tequila tasting added a fun local touch. Cold drinks, comfortable transportation, and great communication the whole day. Very smooth experience.
Booked this while sailing with Carnival and honestly couldn’t be happier. It was relaxed, well organized, and never felt rushed. The beach club stop was a great way to unwind after exploring. Perfect shared tour for anyone wanting a mix of sightseeing and chill time in Cozumel.
We did this tour during our Royal Caribbean cruise and it was exactly what we wanted. Getting away from the port and seeing the real Cozumel made such a difference. The guide was friendly and easygoing, and everything felt very well timed for cruise guests. We were back with plenty of time and zero stress.
Awful . Do not book this tour . It was a waste of money and time . They took us to a place where they tried to sell us tequilla ,chocolate and honey. Everything was very expensive . I agreed to buy a bottle of tequilla and they charged me for two . I didn't realized i had bought two bottles until i was already back on tbe ship . The beach club was not very nice and was very expensive . Lunch was 400 us dollars for 8 people. Very disappointing.
Stress-Free: Everything about this tour was easy and stress-free. Pickup was right outside the port, transportation was comfortable, and the schedule was perfectly timed for cruise guests. No worries about missing the ship — they have it all under control. A smooth, enjoyable day in Cozumel!
Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything easy for us. We saw ruins, snorkeled, and relaxed at a beach club—all without feeling rushed. Excellent experience!
"Simply incredible! The Cozumel tour exceeded my expectations—the Mayan ruins were fascinating, the reef diving was magical, and the beach at the end was the perfect place to relax. Everything was very well organized, with super attentive guides. I recommend it to anyone who wants to make the most of the island in a single day."
Our guide Sergio made this excursion a great family experience!! He made sure our adventure included all that was advertised and even made time for shopping time. His knowledge of the Mayan ruins and culture was impressive. The beach time was curtailed by riptide conditions, but the food was great!! Ocho village represented the culture well with the flour tortillas demo and chocolate samples. Tequila tasting was a delight!! There is encouragement to buy product. We recommend this fun activity for anyone with time in Cozumel!!!
Don’t recommend this tour operator. Driver didn’t pick up at location requested and when I called operator you only get a recording in Spanish Unable to speak with anyone Missed excursion and they refused to refund money
We had a fantastic time on Cozumel! The Mayan Ruins were fascinating, and the Tequila Beach Club was the perfect spot to relax by the water. We also enjoyed a great Mayan presentation and a fun tequila tasting at another stop. Everything was well organized, and the guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Cozumel!
A bit disappointing. Pick up was prompt. GIZMO, the driver, was friendly, if a bit manic. Didn't seem really clear about what was supposed to be included, however, we did visit all the activities promised in the description so I guess Gizmo wasn't as confused as he seemed. The visit to the San Gervaisio Mayan ruins (sp) was great. The site is small enough to walk around and visit all the ruins, the placards are informative. If there were more people in the group it would have been economical to book a guide. The next stop for a Mayan presentation was a non event and really IMO just a rather inauthentic photo/tip op. Chocolate and tequila tastings at the same location were not too informative but interesting overall. Also heavy on the sales pitch. Visit to the beach was fine. There were roadside stalls for drinks and food. To be fair maybe it was a bit casual because there were only 2 of us on what is called a group tour. Gizmo may have been better with a larger younger group. He certainly had the energy for it.
They canceled us on us with three days notice. Allegedly it was because there was not enough interest. But unfortunately, that leaves us with few alternatives. Based on this, I cannot recommend this company.
We traveled on a Royal Caribbean cruise and decided to book this tour on our own, it was the best choice. The guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything in the Mayan ruins and then we had time to enjoy the beach and relax. Transportation was comfortable and everything was perfectly organized to return to the port without worry. A complete and 100% recommended experience for those arriving by cruise.
