Due to winds and current our trip was cancelled the day before. But we had interacted with the tour provider a few weeks earlier as I inadvertently selected the wrong date. The provider quickly without issue moved the date. Then when the tour got cancelled they were all over the communication and refund. We’re returning in September and I look forward to booking with them and actually taking the tour. Great professional people.

The whole family was pleased with this excursion. The snorkeling views and instructors were very safe and knowledgeable. They helped us and we saw a nurse shark, multiple sting rays, one small jelly fish, barracuda, sea turtles, and many many fish. The food and drinks were fabulous and so so fresh. Best ceviche we had on the whole trip.
Absolutely the best boat tour we’ve ever taken. There were 4 stops, generous tequila shots on board, and though we got on the water a bit late due to a handicapped individual and trying to get his chair on the boat, they did not rush us and actually we got in late, having had gotten an extra hour out of the excursion. This was a stellar trip!
this was a great experience. The guides were great, and we really enjoyed all the sites that we were able to see.! the weather was beautiful we could not have asked for a better experience
My wife and I were looking forward to our snorkeling excursion on the catamaran. However, after a 45-minute wait, we were directed to a small, overcrowded vessel that barely accommodated all the participants. When we inquired about shaded areas to avoid prolonged sun exposure, we were told none were available. Realizing we weren’t comfortable spending four hours fully exposed to the sun, we decided not to continue with the tour. The operator was understanding and promptly refunded the $12 marine park fee, assuring us that Viator/TripAdvisor would refund the remaining balance. To their credit, Viator/TripAdvisor issued a full refund within a day.
The cruise was awesome!! I didnt give it 5-stars due to the food & drinks not being the greatest, but the entertainment was perfect!! The staff is so helpful and fun, and they go above & beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and to make sure every person onboard is having a great time!!! Dance contest and the Conga line was fun! Sunset and water were amazing! One of the snorkeling stops is in fairly shallow water. Im not a swimmer, so I was shocked for the opportunity to safely get off the boat into the ocean. I did still use a life vest though. I highly recommend this cruise, just eat first and BYO small personal cooler. They only have beer, not so great margaritas, water, and soda. Book it!
We were supposed to be picked up at 9:50 to make a 10:00 ferry (like that was ever going to happen.) The van did not show up until 10:15. That led to us missing the ferry all together. We sat the ferry dock for an hour waiting for the 12:00 ferry which we were told we would be in the water by then. Missing the ferry then led us to be extremely rushed the entire trip. We were not told that we would have to boat out another 45 minutes to the reefs in addition to the hour ferry ride. Once we got to the reefs, the guide rushed us all of the boat giving us rushed instructions on how to put on the equipment. Once in the water, we had to swim fast the entire time. A child was crying because he was so exhausted. We were all out of breath and exhausted because we had to swim the entire time while the instructor yelled at us to hustle Not to mention, the reef itself was dead and we saw few fish the entire time. It was not colorful, bright, or lively. Then after a rushed trip, the boat drove us out to a sandbar where we hung out for 1.5 hours just swimming and sitting on the boat. We were not told about this prior and it was the most boring 1.5 hours. Our “lunch” was served at 5:00pm. We were all starving and young children were crying because they were so exhausted and hungry. The box lunch was so soggy by the time we got it; the chips weren’t edible. One couple didn’t even get dinner. They boat was short meals and the driver had to give away his meal so they could share it Once we got off the ferry at the end of the day, we were told we would be picked up at 7:45 which the ferry docked at 7:00. So we already had to wait for 45 minutes. On top of that, the driver was 30 MINUTES late. We did not return to our hotel until 8:45 causing us to miss our dinner. We fought the company for a refund and they denied everything we said. They didn’t believe us and refused to give us the money back. DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY. THEY WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We will be fighting this through our credit card company
Haven't had a bad tour yet, while on the island, and this one is no exception. These guys were wonderful and impressive. The catamaran was roomy and clean. Took precautions to ensure everyone's safety. Snorkeling was great. We were taken to a spot where there was lots to see, but nothing protected. This meant were able to "free dive," without worrying about accidental damage. Lunch was incredible. However the best part of the tour was how well they had taken care of an older gentleman with some type of muscular/nerve disorder. They took really great care of him and they were fun to boot. For that, they deserve even extra stars.
It was just AMAZING! I had been wanting to visit Cozumel for so long, and it was absolutely breathtaking. We spend a great time, and this guys totally gave their 100%. The snorkel was beautiful, the day was just perfect, but what truly made the difference we’re the tour guides and the crew, they were so attentive, knowledgeable and funny. Can’t wait to come back to this paradise, maybe next time (fingers crossed) to stay at The Westin Hotel.
The team was great and very accommodating. What a beautiful day! We had a blast!!! Thank you! Can’t beat the price and for that please tip the team well!!! They work hard!
Good time and taken care of well. Food and drink are what you expect for lower cost. Boat and crew very pleasant and worked hard.
This was one of the best excursion we went on while on our cruise! I cannot say enough about everything. The guides were so friendly and funny. They made the experience that much more fun! The boat was clean and big! I was surprised it fit all of us! They were very helpful with the snorkeling gear and making sure we saw the fish and enjoyed snorkeling. They had a GREAT playlist for fun and music on board and were very generous with the drinks! The snack was great and the lunch at the resort was amazing! Best one so far! So do this excursion! Also, they take pictures for you, so you don't have to worry about trying to take pictures and snorkel at the same time!! That was great for me and our family! We were even able to purchase them at the end, so that was a plus!!
I’m not usually someone who writes reviews and I always look at overly negative ones as exaggerated but please please please if you’re reading this and haven’t booked yet - DO NOT BOOK with this company. One of their ‘tour guides’ called DJ or Fernando is extremely touchy-feely. I understand that hands can slip sometimes and brush areas that you wouldn’t want touched but after this happened 3 times when he was adjusting the harness that goes between my thighs, I had to tell him to stop because I was extremely uncomfortable. Not the first time I’ve been harnessed or been snorkelling so I know this is not what’s supposed to happen. He even offered me an ‘underwater massage’ and a kiss - that’s when I knew there was nothing innocent about his behaviour. TOTALLY SPOILED MY HOLIDAY AND RUINED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE, if you’re a woman and don’t want to be sexually harassed, please book somewhere else, there’s loads of options that offer the same thing and save yourself the disgust.
We booked this through tripadvisor which gives you very little information on where to go. The ferry dock is enormous, but what you don’t now is you have to look for a guy in a bright pink shirt. We were the only ones not aware of this so it must be a trip advisor problem. When I called them on the phone they were great to communicate with. We really wanted to sail, not just motor around. That was the whole point of doing this on a relatively small catamaran. We booked it specifically so the weather was ideal. But no sails went up, perhaps the weather was not as ideal as I thought? Food and drinks were good. The boat is pretty darn old. Crew was fun.
We had a group of 10 people, the boat fits 15 so we had more than half the reservations for the trip. Our ship changed port destinations and caused us to miss the boarding time. Excursion company was unprofessional and impossible to locate because their rep was a guy standing in the street, known by other excursion companies as “the man in the pink shirt”. We missed the departure time by 15 minutes, most of which was spent looking for the guy when we made it to the correct port. Unprofessional company and still waiting to hear about my refund request
High winds forced cancellation, we were VERY courteously notified of,the cancellation and given the immediate options of refund or rescheduling. I couldn’t have asked for more!
This was one of the best excursions I’ve ever taken. For that price, we snorkeled and saw a variety of fish, had very good cocktails, snacks, a buffet and the chance to swim on a private beach. I’m honestly shocked at how low the price is for the value of the tour. Fernando and his team were absolutely wonderful and I hope they are able to continue giving this spectacular tour
Safe, great crew. Catered to your needs, constantly kept the glasses full (after snorkeling of course- safety first). Entertaining and engaging- this was an afternoon touristy trip to try to do something different for some repeat wanna-be-locals and I’m glad we went later to avoid cruise ship crowds. Met nice people; you’d be okay going solo and making new friends or taking a bigger group (22 people fit just fine and we were not running into eachother; tons of space). Crew was professional, kept track of everyone, lunch was hearty and fresh (sandwiches, fruit, chips, pasta salad, ceviche, veggies). Never ran out of drinks, open bar, shallows swimming, good music. We really, really enjoyed it. You meet at the swallows statue, go into the square for a small briefing, walk back to the catamaran and pier. Don’t forget $5 USD for the marine park tax; it all goes to the marine park so it’s for a legit good cause. Sit on the front or back, enjoy your space and yourself. Bring sun screen, towel, if you like your own gear bring it, cameras, ask for fins if you want them, and don’t worry about the little life vest. You gotta understand there’s some precautions needed with a group of people you haven’t met before. Saw tons of fish, got cool photos, and while the beginning starts a little slowly getting out there, we had a great afternoon doing this.
This was an awesome trip. Snorkeling was not the best I’ve ever been but it was pretty good. The crew was awesome and amazing. Loved going to the Westin Hotel for a wonderful buffet lunch and relax time on the beach. A crewmember took pictures underwater of a snorkeling but wanted $50 for them way too expensive so we declined. Other than that we highly recommend this trip!
The snorkeling was excellent and the crew was nice and helpful. Very disappointed that we didn't sail as sailing was advertised in the description of the tour.
Transportation to and from Playa was great although we arrived at the ferry a little late due to pick ups. The weather was quite windy so the ferry ride over was a bit alarming but ok. We arrived on board and the staff was great! Easy going guys and very informative on the tour. Very patient with newbies snorkelling. I didn’t snorkel but those who did were impressed with the instruction and fish seen. I stayed on-board and talked with the Captain. Very friendly guy. After snorkelling we went up to the northern island and stopped for swimming. Meal was given to us and was great. Drink service was awesome. The water was a bit rough in spots but the guys made the best of it and we had a good time.
We went with a large group of 16 people. This has got to be the worst excursion I've had. All of my friends hated it. You spend most of the time travelling instead of snorkeling. A van picks you up and bring you to the ferry, wait for the ferry that comes every hour and you would take a ferry that is 45 minutes long to get to the catamaran. Then you wait around for the catamaran. Once you are on the tiny little catamaran, they take you to the snorkeling area where you get to snorkel for 20 minutes. We were told by the BD Travel agent that you get to snorkel for 45 minutes. We were lied to. After 20 minutes of snorkeling, the catamaran brought us to their so called "natural swimming pool". It's not a "natural swimming pool". It is part of the ocean and it has a ton of jellyfish so some people only swam for 5 minutes. After that they take us back to Cozumel where we wait for the Ferry. I do not recommend anyone with children to go to Cozumel. It was windy when we were getting off the ferry and it was so dangerous to get off the ferry. It would be impossible for someone to be pushing a stroller to try to get off the ferry because the ferry was moving as you are trying to get off. Overall, I would not recommend this excursion to anyone. What a waste of time and money.
Took van from our hotel to the Ferry. Took Ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. The ferry is safe and fast (25 min). Guides are very well organized all throughout tour including rides back to hotel. Vans are air conditioned. We snorkelled at a different reef due to jellyfishes at Paradise Reef. There were about 10 kinds of fish. Snorkelling gear was good provided by company. We had a small snack after getting into boat again. Snorkelling- we stayed together and the catamaran stayed close by. We had a buffet lunch at the Westin Hotel and then some free time for shopping. Prices for souvenirs and t shirts etc are better in Cozumel than 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen. A tour guide met us and we went back on the public Ferry and then home on the van. Thanks to DJ for starting the tour off with a bang. Our other guides were excellent too.
Very friendly staff! Although it took a bit to get out of the cruise port, it is not their fault. Once we found our destination it was smooth sailing. The catamaran was absolutely beautiful - more than we expected! There was only 8 people on the excursion we did which we absolutely loved! More opportunity for a personalized experience. Although it was somewhat rough, so we didn't see much besides fish. Again - not their fault! The resort and lunch that was provided was absolutely astonishing. I could not believe how beautiful and delicious everything was! The drinks were flowing after the snorkeling portion. There was not one time where we reached the bottom of our glasses. The staff were so quick to help out it was amazing.
This was a super fun tour. It gave us a chance to snorkel as well as jump off the boat at a second location just to swim in the crystal clear aqua waters. The crew was fun and friendly and catered to our every need. The only slight negative would be the food. It was so-so. It wasn’t what I would call authentic Mexican cuisine. Basically a sandwich and pasta salad. All in all we enjoyed the tour and would do it again.
My boyfriend and I went on this trip. It was a great time overall, but the snorkeling stop could have been better. We enjoyed the crew and the food. It was very relaxing, not over crowded. My only other issue was they took pictures all day then at the end offered to email all the photos for $50. I would have loved to buy them, but only if they were a little cheaper, maybe $30?
Tour was located walking distance from our pier, so that was a plus. Catamaran was comfortable and there were only about 20 passengers. Fernando and his crew were great. First stop was snorkeling at a marine preserve. There were tons of fish. Snorkeled about 45 minutes, then cruised along the coast of Cozumel and stopped to relax or swim. Very nice day.
Great catamaran tour started with snorkeling at the reef and a great ride to a semi private beach with lunch by the Westin hotel I highly recommend. The crew was outstanding and food and drinks top notched. Boat was nice not too too many people just enough to make it enjoyable Weather was great in January, never felt unsafe
Booked this tour for a group of 14. We were actually very excited as we are a larger group and it said the max on the boat would be 25...Wrong. After getting to the pier and checking in a large group came along with our tour guides. We finally asked how many people would be on the boat. 34. Its not a huge boat and we were the last ones to board the boat so seating up front was gone. Snorkeling was very nice! They did an excellent job making sure everyone stayed in the right areas and also helped. They did a wonderful job. Back to the boat for drinks. They had a very good mix of drinks. It did take some time if you were up front as they have to go back into the bar to get the drinks. But they did a great job. Then we went to the Westin resort for our lunch. Let me tell you that was the weirdest thing we have ever done on a catamaran sail. This is my 6th time on a tour like this. We were able to use the bathrooms, pool, beach chairs and also eat at the buffet when it was ready. We were able to spend a good amount of time at the Westin. Well what a boring place. Not sure if this tour is trying to advertise or what but beautiful place and the day we stopped boring. I also found it super weird to eat with the people that were staying at the resort. Just confusing. But food was pretty good. On the way back they served a couple more drinks and tried to get the party started. Nice boat ride back.
The reef was beautiful! I do believe they need to invest in new masks. Several people had trouble with theirs leaking. The captain also hit a wave from another boat and my teenagers on the front of the boat flew into the air and all of their belongings were soaked. NOT cool. The food and drinks were good. The guides were very friendly but I did not leave a tip because of the cost of my son's cell phone that got wet.
Paid a lot of money for this and was sooo excited to do this. I researched ship time versus local time and was sure I had it all figured out. I made sure to make the excursion an hour and a half after ship time due to the time change even. Come to find out my calculations were still off and we didn't arrive until after the excursion left LOCAL time. I contacted someone at the meet up point and even though it wad my fault for the error, they offered us a day atChankanaab Park with snorkeling, lunch, and a locker. Although the price difference was no near comparable, I appreciated the offer and the fact that we still got to do some snorkeling.
We had a family of three generation and we had an excellent time. The crew really takes care of you in the sail. Nice food and drinks on the house. The reef for snorkel is excellent. The instructions and equipemnt were great . And the staff snorkels with you to ensure you are safe and have a good time. The girl that took our pictures ( forgot her name ) was excellent and had a great eye for pics. The entire trip and pictures was great value for money and DJ and crew were excellent. The Catmaran is in good shape. I would recommend this excursion/ trip to all.
Booked the catamaran sunset tour through Excursion.travel in our hotel. Was out front at noon for a 12:10 pickup. At 12:30 we were still waiting, so we went back to the Excursion.travel agent to find out what the delay was. At first was told that they were running a little late due to traffic, then told they were held up at the Playacar entrance, then were told that the event had been cancelled. NO ATTEMPT BY EITHER ORGANIZATION TO CONTACT US TO LET US KNOW BEFOREHAND. Too late in the day (our last full day there) to book another tour. They were quick to take our credit card, but not so quick to refund us. I'll be disputing the charge with Visa if I don't see a credit within three business days of the event.
This was our final port from Princess Cruises. We had to take a taxi that took about 15 minutes (with traffic). There is a $5 charge at the site per person, which I expected. I was able to use a credit card with a fee, but otherwise, cash was accepted. The tour itself was AMAZING! The hosts did a fantastic job. The food was really good (and surprised me). The drinks just kept coming. The photographer took some amazing pictures that I purchased. I received the link the next day and was able to download it easily. Wil definitely go again!
For those who know how to swim or/and snorkel, the guide was liberal with swimming without life jackets. For those that don't do either well. The guide was reassuring and patient. It was amazing how he kept his restraint with so many personalities. The crew went out of there way to make this exploration of the sea, pleasantly memorable. My hat is off to the crew! Cant wait to sail with them again!
This crew was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable. DJ was a fantastic tour guide and Lisette was an awesome photographer that captured all the wonderful highlights from our trip! The boat was really nice as well. The enthusiastic crew made the whole experience truly memorable. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Cozumel!!
This was our final port. The meet up point was clear and we left promptly. The guide DJ explained exactly what to expect in advance and again as we did each stop. The crew was very professional, safety minded and customer focused. There were about 30 people on board, which included about 6 crew. We had plenty of space to relax. After we boarded we sailed south, just past the Carnival cruise port to snorkel. Everyone that wanted to snorkel jumped in. We stayed with a guide. There were LOTS of fish. The coral reef was ok, it was more about the fish. After snorkeling we sailed to the the Westin Hotel on the north end of the island. During the relaxing 45 minute sail, snacks were served along with an open bar. The crew kept the drinks flowing. Once at the West we had about 45 minutes to relax at their beautiful private beach, use the pool, sun bathe on the lounge chairs, or snorkel more on the beach. Then we had a 30 minute buffet lunch at their restaurant on the water. Ceviche, fish, barbecue beef and pork, salad and lots more! Free wifi available at the Westin. After lunch we headed back to the ferry port with the open bar continuing. We returned with plenty of time to do some shopping before having get back on our ship. Also wanted to mention the photographer Lisette, who took the posed photos as well as lots of candid shots on board AND under water available for purchase at the end. Good job!
The reef is pretty deep for snorkeling but good visibility and healthy coral. The crew is great. The boat is ok, the inside cabin was very moldy. Free flowing drinks. Not crazy about ham sandwich lunch.
My wife and I had an amazing time, snorkeling was perfect food was great and the crew couldn’t have been better. The crew was extremely helpful and willing to go out of their way for you. The knowledge they have and are willing to share makes the trip so much better.
Awesome catamaran ride! I would recommend this activity to anyone thats visiting Playa del Carmen or Cozumel!
We were traveling on a cruise and Cozumel was our first stop. We were looking for the perfect excursion. Our family group ages ranged from 20 to 80. This excursion welcomed all ages. The catamaran ride was great, those that wanted to snorkel jumped in the water. Those that didn't want to, stayed on the boat and enjoyed drinks and socializing with others. The stop at the Hilton Resort was also great! The options to continue snorkeling at the beach, swimming at the beach or at the resort pool, or just relaxing was more than we could have imagined. To top it off, this excursion included a buffet lunch at the resort. It is always a challenge to find an excursion that would be "fun" for all ages, especially if it is one that requires certain activity levels. This excursion gave the person the option to snorkel or not, while adding other elements in which they might participate. It wasn't simply a snorkeling trip like most are. This excursion was a Home Run!!!
We booked this tour for our cruise stop in Cozumel. The meet up point, the Ferry Terminal, was a quick and easy taxi ride from our cruise point. The guides met us out front and led us to the catamaran once everyone on tour arrived. The first stop was snorkeling. My family snorkelers while I relaxed on the boat. They saw tons of fish, eel, and a sting ray. Once everyone was back on the boat, drinks and snacks were served. The staff made sure our drinks were full at all times. We cruised to the Westin, which was absolutely breathtaking. It was like having our own private beach and pool. The lunch buffet was good too. Beware if you have a fish allergy because they cook all of the food on the same grill, and my son did have a mild allergic reaction. Thankfully, the gift shop sold Benadryl. Besides that, it was a perfect day.
My husband and I booked this snorkeling trip during our honeymoon. We booked through our resort and were impressed by the price, which included transportation (including the ferry ride for us to get to Cozumel). The guides working for this company were so organized and made us feel very safe. Great job! The catamaran was beautiful and our trip only had 11 people so we had free roam of the boat. All drinks were included and the staff was on top of service. They even provided the most delicious meal I’ve ever had on an excursion - so fancy! The reef was very nice with lots of fish. But what made this trip stand out from others was the freedom we had to snorkel around the reef. Most trips the boat anchors and you have to stay in that area. On this trip we floated for about 45 minutes and the boat followed us! We were able to explore so much reef. At our second location we were free to swim or lounge. They even threw pool floats into the water for us. My favorite part was the professional photographer on the boat. The pictures were outstanding so course we bought them!
We traveled to Cozumel via Disney Fantasy cruise and docked just about 5 min walk from the Tour start. Was greeted and explained about the day from staff. We headed out of the Catamaran. Approx. 20-30 people in total, the boat was very nice and the crew all introduced them selves. About 5 min into the boat ride an overcast day turned into a light sprinkle, then a little heavier and then a downpour. We all headed into the shelter of the boat to get out of the rain. The crew asked the guests if we wanted to continue or head straight to the hotel, not really sure what the weather was going to do we all decided to continue on. Once we got to the reef it was still raining, between light and medium, most people got ready and jumped in. The water was warmer than the air temp, the snorkeling was still pretty good considering the weather. The guide took the group around and had a good time seeing the fish. Once a sound of thunder we all headed back into the boat. Once on the boat, snack was served and bar was open, everything was very good. Rain started to slow down some more to allow us outside as we headed to the Weston Hotel for some beach/pool time. After some time at the pool we were served a VERY GOOD lunch at the hotel, we finished up lunch and boarded the boat again and the bar was open, everyone was able to enjoy some sun shine. Overall very good trip, the crew was great! It would have been a whole lot better with good weather, but they had no control over that element. Our group was two adults and 10 year old, our daughter was sick and did not make the trip.
The crew was awesome, the views were fantastic! Lunch at the resort was not what we expected (a hodge-podge of items... pasta with red sauce, rice, etc).
Despite our running behind due to cruise disembarking and ticket snafu between trip advisor/booking agent and the actual trip company...this was a wonderful event!! The crew was very accommodating and ensured drinks were full. What I really want to point out is how a crew member grabbed his snorkel and fins to provide added one on one care for me and my younger daughters (6&9). Miguel didnt hesitate to ensure we were safe and even went out of his way to ensure we saw cool stuff. The buffet was very nice and beautiful eating location off ocean. We needed to leave the excursion after eating to ensure we weren’t late for our next excursion and the crew-member saw to ensure we got into cab not leaving us until we took off. Would repeat next trip. Highly recommend!!
We took this tour from Playa Del Carmen and paid approx 120USD per person and the tour was very disorganized and crowded. The boat had approx 20 plus people on it and the snorkeling was crowded. It would have been better if there was less people.
Llegan tarde por ti y por esa razón perdí mi ferry de ahí en adelante pues no está tan mal su que ví que hay mejores tour y más economicias
Very good Service. Many drinks simple but good food on board. Plenty of time to relax and let your legs dangle. I especially liked the way nature is treated! Care is taken that the reefs in which you dive are not touched or polluted. After a tour, individual reefs also have a break from tourists. The hospitality and friendly nature of Mexicans is definitely worth a visit👍
I spent my birthday on 04/03/2020 in Cozumel and it was INCREDIBLE!!! All very organized and with a very affordable price.
