Julio was amazing! His knowledge of Cozumel taught us a lot. He brought us to great locations and helped us have a relaxing day. So much fun!! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time on our Cozumel tour with Julio! He is such a sweet, friendly, and accommodating person. You can really tell he genuinely cares about what he does and making sure his guests have a great experience. We especially enjoyed learning about and experiencing the local culture. He even went above and beyond by helping us find extra luggage to bring home and making sure we weren’t overcharged. His kindness, honesty, and thoughtfulness made our experience even more memorable. We had Alvin as our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing!!! He was so informative, fun, and made the day so relaxing. We saw so many sites in one day!! If there was something we wanted to skip, Alvin was accommodating to that. He also took the most amazing photos for us!! Thanks again Alvin!!

This was our second time booking with Laugh Tale Adventures Cozumel, and once again, Alex did not disappoint! If you want to escape the crowded port areas and experience the real Cozumel, he is absolutely the man to see. Alex is incredibly flexible and completely tailored the itinerary to what we wanted to do. The communication leading up to our excursion was fantastic. The buggies are so much fun to drive around, and he kept us stocked with plenty of ice-topped water and beer to stay cool on a roasting 95-degree day! Throughout the tour, Alex shared awesome history and local information about the island. We stopped for amazing drinks right by the ocean, explored an Aztec cave, visited beautiful freshwater ponds, and topped it all off with an incredible meal and drinks at a resort. What really blew us away was how amazing he was with our kids. He took the time to teach them how to snorkel in crystal-clear water, which ended up being the absolute highlight of the trip for them! On top of everything, Alex was always conscious of the time and made sure we got back to our ship with plenty of time to spare. We highly recommend booking this tour—you will not be disappointed. Alex is a wonderful, down-to-earth small business owner who truly cares about his guests and treats you just like family!

Alex provided us with many great experiences for our port day in Cozumel. He customized our tour to include stops that he knew we would enjoy after speaking with us before we left the port and modified our itinerary as the day went on. Julio was an amazing guide and driver. We were able to plan our own itinerary based on my family's interests so each person had a great time. Julio was incredibly knowledge about the history of the island, the geological formations, agriculture, and anything else we happened to stumble upon while talking. He has the heart of a teacher. As a side note: we did have to pay for our entrance tickets to those places not on the original itinerary, but the fact that we had such a knowledgeable driver made it extra worth it!

Great way to see a magical island with a local who knows all the ins. We had Julio and he was super knowledgeable. Only thing was I requested two things - fresh juice and an antibiotic and he missed the fresh juice. We saw some great sights of the island but I missed my favorite thing. Good lunch of fajitas and tacos.

The trip was pleasant, it matched the description. Our guide was friendly and kind. Only the beach swimming was not in a place that we liked.

If what you want to do is see the island Alex is your man. He will take you to your favorite watering holes where you can take pictures and drink exotic drinks, we went on a tequila tasting tour, to the supermarket, saw Mayan ceynote and drank margs on the beach with chips and salsa at the mojito bar and snorkeled and ate lunch at the beach club. Alex was very adamant that we make it back to our ship on time although he was prepared to let us stay in his spare room if we didn’t! :))

This was a really great tour around Cozumel, including the unpopulated East side of the island, which was quite scenic. Alvin led us around (he drove one jeep, I drove the other). My family and wife's parents came along (9 people). It was a little hot (being late July), but AC worked great in the vehicles, and Alvin had plenty of bottled waters and cans of beer on ice in the cooler (we had some left after the tour, and grabbed one for the walk back to the cruise ship). Alvin had a Great attitude and gave history/info on the various places, and gave us the option to stop or keep on going at various beach and lookout stops. I enjoyed swimming in the cenote (inland freshwater pond--the water was a perfect temperature). The lunch at the well-known Money Bar beach club was Fabulous (included in the package). Snorkeling there at Money Bar was Awesome--2 stepped entrances with handrails, and there were at least 1,000 pleasant marine fish swimming around you there. Covered tables to eat your lunch and they have a larger menu as well. As requested, Alvin got us back in time (by 3:30), so we could clean up and make it to our dinner by 5pm (although the line of people going thru Mexican security at the port was kind of long...). Great Tour overall!!

10/10 experience and we really enjoyed our tour guide Jordan. The booking manager did not lie when he said Jordan was one of the best tour guides. Whole tour was worth our money and we did book it for 11 people very worth the price!

I booked this because o have used Viator before and they have never disappointed! Our tour guy Jordan was absolutely fantastic! There’s me Mom, 23, 19& 19 year old boys!!! They said it was the best experience ever!!! Jordan brought all over us he island. From learning how to make chocolate, learning about Mexican Tequila to snorkeling and then visiting a Cenote!! Wait we also had how mad we tacos and salsa ! Viator hasn’t disappointed me yet and neither did Jordan!!!!

Alex was our personal tour guide and took us on a wonderfully informative trip around the island of Cozumel. He customized it to meet our own requests. We had an authentic meal, saw a Mayan cave, snorkeled in the ocean, and saw a cenote. We even stopped at a grocery store on the way back to port for some necessary candy bars and Pepsi! Great experience with our guide Ricardo. It was great to be in a small group and we were able to dictate the time and terms of the visits. We loved being able to see almost the entire island and all of the natural beauty of Cozumel.

We had a great day exploring Cozumel with Alvin! He was very knowledgeable and engaging with our family. He gave us plenty of time at each spot and let us decide on how long we wanted to stay. He made sure we had plenty of time to get back to our ship and even took us on a tour of the city on the way back. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our day!

We had an absolute blast on the Viator Private Jeep/Buggy Excursion in Cozumel! If you book this tour, do yourself a favor and ask for Alex—he was easily the highlight of our day. He was incredibly informative, accommodating, funny, nice, and went out of his way to make sure our family did exactly what we were interested in, all while getting us back to the cruise ship with time to spare. Being a family with four kids, Alex tailored the day perfectly for us. He suggested we skip the tequila tasting and took us instead to see a collapsed cave where the original Mayans used to stay. The kids absolutely loved getting to see the bats inside! Throughout the day, Alex shared so much about the local culture, pointed out iguanas, gave us great advice on which local shops to trust, and even let us borrow some of his own personal snorkeling equipment. The Sights: We got to go to the tallest natural spot on Cozumel for some incredible views. Mojito Factory: A great stop where we enjoyed some drinks, fresh salsa, and delicious guacamole. The Money Bar Resort: Our last stop for snorkeling and lunch. The seaweed/sargassum made it impossible to get into the water on one side of the island, but we had done our research beforehand and knew that was a natural possibility—totally out of the tour's control, and it didn't slow us down at all! The Lunch: The included lunch at the Money Bar wasn't anything mind-blowing, but it wasn't bad by any means. You do have the option to upgrade and buy off their regular menu if you want, but since it was our last stop, we just chose to wait until we got back to the ship to eat a bigger meal. Overall, it was a wonderful, stress-free day. Alex was an amazing guide who truly looked out for our family and made the trip memorable. We would highly recommend him for any tour on the island!

Alex is a very good guy! He took us all around the island, went snorkeling for quite a long time, had lunch at a nice litte place and had us back to our cruise port in plenty of time! I had a couple of specific requests for stops and he made sure they happened!

We had the BEST day exploring Cozumel with Alex on our private jeep tour! This ended up being one of our favorite excursions of the entire cruise. We had 2 jeeps for our family group, with Alex driving one and my husband driving the other, which made the experience feel extra fun and personal. Alex was truly an amazing guide. He grew up in Cozumel and still lives there, so hearing the history of the island, local stories, and learning about the culture from someone who genuinely loves his home made such a difference. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient with our kids, and made the entire day feel relaxed and customized to our family. The stops were beautiful and gave us such a great feel for the island. We loved Tequila Town, the breathtaking east coast views at Coconuts, Chen Rio, the sandy beaches of San Martin, climbing around El Mirador, and swimming at the cenote. Lunch at El Mirador was delicious with incredible ocean views. One thing we especially appreciated was how flexible and laid back the tour felt. We never felt rushed, and Alex made sure we had time for pictures, questions, and just enjoying the experience together. Even with the seaweed affecting parts of the shoreline during our visit, we still had an absolute blast because the experience itself was so enjoyable. If you’re visiting Cozumel and want something more personal, adventurous, and authentic than a large crowded excursion, we cannot recommend this private jeep tour with Alex enough. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day exploring the island with a friend.

We were looking for a tour to make the most of our one day in Cozumel, and we had the best day with our tour guide, Alex! Alex took care of everything, from driving around, sharing fun facts, taking pictures, and taking us snorkelling! Alex is AMAZING!!! My husband and I had the best day with him. We visited a tequila factory, a mojito bar, a beach restaurant and I was able to nap in the sun since they had loungers right there! Then we finished the day with snorkeling which was awesome! Alex took me out in the water and guided me the whole time. His knowledge of the island made the day so enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend this tour!

Alex was our guide and did a great job. He took us all around Cozumel and gave great explanations of everything. He adjusted the itinerary to accommodate our group that consisted of 8 adults and 6 kids. He made sure we were back at port when we wanted to be. All around, highly recommend.

Fantastic day taken around Cozumel in a jeep whilst on cruise holiday. Private as only the two of us being driven by Alex , the owner of the business. He recommended an itinerary but would take us to any places that we wished to go. The highlight for me was snorkelling in the beautiful coral reef , the fish were amazing. It’s the first time I’d snorkelled & was feeling quite anxious . Alex was very experienced, ensured my kit fitted correctly, added flippers & taught me how to breathe through the snorkel before getting going . He constantly supervised me & I felt very safe & comfortable. I wore a buoyancy aid for confidence & was so proud of myself , we swam a fair distance out , Alex ensured I was happy to do so. It really was an amazing experience. We visited a tequila place, several beaches, cenote where we saw crocodiles, and had lunch & snorkeled at beach on west coast not far from the port. Alex made sure we were back on time. If you’re on a cruise ensure you correspond with Alex as to which port he needs to meet you at as there are 3 in Cozumel . We found free Wi-Fi in a yellow cafe to left of port exit otherwise communication would have been difficult as our mobiles were playing up. Thank you Alex for a fantastic day !

Alex was unbelievable, he went way above to make sure we had a wonderful experience. He picked us up right on time with cooler full. He took the time to take off the top of Jeep at our request, he took us to many different locations that were beautiful. He even gave us snorkeling lessens and had us seeing the beautiful fish in no time. Many laughs along the way. He dropped us off at the port entrance at our exact time we requested. We had such a fun day traveling around the island! Us and 6 other adult family members. Alex was very knowledgeable, flexible, and accomodating. We had purchased tickets to a chocolate workshop at a specific time and had a couple of other places we wanted to visit in addition to his suggestions. He coordinated the day to make it all work perfectly.

Three adults took this Jeep tour. Alex was our driver and tour guide. He was so much fun. He customized the tour to our interests. He had lots of very interesting history facts and stories. He even snorkeled with us at the Money Bar. The airconditioned jeep was much nicer for a long ride than a hot buggy would have been. He brought plenty of cold waters and beer. We will see him again on our next visit to Cozumel.

Alex was an excellent tour guide in Cozumel! He was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about the island. We booked a private custom Jeep tour for our group of 15 during our Cozumel port day, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the entire trip. From the start, our guide Alex was fantastic — he reached out ahead of time to confirm all the details like pickup location, number of Jeeps, and what the day would look like, which made everything feel seamless and stress-free. When we first met up, Alex walked us through options for the day and let us choose where we wanted to go and what we felt like doing, while also offering great suggestions. It truly felt like a custom tour rather than a fixed itinerary, which we really appreciated. On the day of the tour, we had four Jeeps for our group, which gave everyone plenty of space and made the experience really comfortable. We felt safe the entire time, and Alex kept everything running smoothly while still making it fun and relaxed. Since none of us had been to the island before, doing a full loop of Cozumel was perfect. We packed so much into the day without ever feeling rushed — tequila tasting, a scenic lookout point, a beach stop (plus spotting a gator!), a fun mojito bar, lunch, and then finishing with a cenote and snorkeling. Every stop felt worthwhile and gave us a great mix of adventure, sightseeing, and downtime. Alex was organized, friendly, and clearly passionate about making sure we had a great time. We also really appreciated the flexibility — when our group started to get a bit tired, we were able to head back to the ship earlier with no issues at all. If you’re visiting Cozumel — especially with a group — I can’t recommend this tour enough. It was the perfect way to experience the island and celebrate an unforgettable bachelor party.

Alex was very responsive prior to our tour date in answering questions and also giving us a contingency plan in case our cruise didn't dock. He met us on time and was very considerate of my elderly mother offering to help her in and out of the Jeep as well as offering any help up and down any stairs. He was very enthusiastic and informative in the historical information he provided about the island and genuinely seemed to enjoy doing what he does. He took us to a different location since we weren't able to do the snorkeling portion which was really nice. The location for lunch was fantastic. However the non-included stuff was a bit expensive, it was worth seeing my mom have authentic Mexican food and drink on the beach. The best part other than the historical sites we saw, the food, and the beautiful views was the fact he trusted me to drive. When I asked if I could drive he stated it was a standard and my eyes lit up. I told him I'm well-versed in driving standards and he trusted me and I had a blast driving the Jeep around the island. I highly recommend this tour because you can make it what you want and of course, Alex was a pleasure being our guide.

Alex was a wonderful tour guide. We were not sure what we wanted to do and had a couple of things on the list but not much. Alex had a tour all ready and we took out what we did not want to see and added the couple of things we did want to see. We spent 6 hours touring the island. Alex was very informative so it was much better than renting a vehicle and touring on our own. He had water and beer in the jeep. The lunch was very good! We would not hesitate to tour with Alex again!

Alex is a superstar. He took us to all the best places for tequila and food, showed us crocodiles and beautiful beaches and Mayan ruins, and was full of fun and interesting knowledge of Cozumel life. Plus, he had beer and water in his cooler. All-in-all, a once in a lifetime experience to share with friends and loved ones!

We had a great day! Alex was very nice and even met us a bit early as we docked earlier than expected. He had a cooler full of refreshments for us. We never felt rushed at any stop and made our own itinerary. The food was delicious and the snorkeling was great. He stayed with us in the water which made me feel secure. My family had an amazing time on this tour! Alex was a fantastic host. He customized the tour to the amount of time we had on the island and made sure we saw what we wanted to see and spent as much time as we wanted at our stops. We had an awesome lunch on the beach (tacos & fajitas were awesome). We hit up a little protected cove, a gorgeous white sand beach, took a dip in a cenote, did some snorkeling, and more. Touring the island with Alex was like having a friend that lived local, so we saw the good stuff and skipped the touristy crap. Whenever we come back, Alex will be getting my business again!
