Catamaran Snorkeling To El Cielo And The Money Bar Beach Club

This excursion was AMAZING!! I have been to cozumel many times and done many different excursions. This one I will definitely do again. Beautiful blue waters, great snorkeling and an amazing staff who took beautiful pictures!! 10/10, 5 stars... it's a must do!

So much fun and our tour guides were so friendll, helpful, and fun! The water at the sandbar is crystal clear and the most beautiful blue. Stingrays were swimming by us the whole time. I will definitely book this one again!

We did not go to either reef, El Cielo or Palancar, as advertised. We saw very few fish at the 3 snorkel stops they took us to instead. Even though we did not go to the National Marine Park, they still charged us a $13 per person fee. We also did not get dropped back off at The Money Bar, like it said in the description. Without any explanation or communication to us that we would not be getting dropped back off at our starting location, we found ourselves being dropped off back at a marina and we had no idea how to get back to our car at The Money Bar. We then had to find a taxi & pay another $12 for a taxi to take us back to our car. The crew was nice, that was the only thing good about the excursion.

We had a good time but we could have had a little more snorkel time. It was a laid back Tour, it could have been a bit more up beat. And we wish we're able to reapply sunscreen. It is good for family with children.

The boat is old, but the staff was great. We had a group of 20, with the boat all to ourselves. They guided the snorkeling and saw a variety of fish. Standing in the beautiful shallow water was a highlight as they served great margaritas and cervesa along with wonderful ceviche and chips.

We took a taxi from the Harmony of the Seas port to Money Bar in Cozumel and arrived around 9:30 AM. The staff welcomed us, had us sign the waiver, paid the $11 per person marine fee and got us seated while we waited. The Zeus catamaran arrived on time, and we departed at 10:00 AM. It took about 45 minutes to reach the reefs. Our first snorkeling stops were Columbia Reef and Palancar Reef. At Columbia Reef (around 35 feet deep), we saw schools of fish, puffer fish, stingrays, nurse sharks, and a sea turtle. Palancar Reef (about 55 feet deep) was equally impressive — we spotted around three stingrays, jellyfish, and many other varieties of marine life. Our guide, Jose, was excellent and very experienced. He dove down to point out sharks, turtles, and fish and even made underwater bubble rings, which was fun to watch. He made everyone feel comfortable and safe in the water. After snorkeling, we went to El Cielo to see many starfish and then to El Cielito, where we enjoyed delicious, freshly made ceviche prepared by Chef Olivera, surrounded by friendly stingrays. Captain George was very friendly and kept the ride smooth. We used our own snorkel gear and fins. Snorkel gear was provided by the tour, but no fins were provided, and we used the life vests provided by the tour. We were brought back to Money Bar by 1:00 PM, which gave us plenty of time before returning to port. We had a small lunch at Money Bar before heading back; food at Money Bar is not included in the tour. Overall, this was a well-organized, memorable tour with incredible marine life and a fantastic El Cielo experience. Highly recommend!

It was an easy and quick trip from the port to the Money Bar where we met our boat. About a 40 min ride to snorkeling spots where we saw fish, turtles, starfish and even a shark. A nice little ceviche, fruit and chips were served with plenty of drinks while swimming with friendly sting rays. It was enjoyable and we would love to do again.

We had a great experience. The crew were very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that they didn’t have enough safety vest for all passengers in the trip and that made it inconvenient for the ones without vests while swimming in the middle of the ocean.

This excursion gave us the most time in the water of any we have ever done. They take you out to three different spots, the reef, a spot filled with fish, another area filled with starfish, and then out to a sandbar where you can stand up with the stingrays swimming next to you. It was a great experience. It was definitely worth the cost. The staff on the catamaran were great and helpful. They looked out for the fun and safety of their guests. One word of potential caution for those on cruises: if your ship leaves 3:30pm or earlier, this excursion may cut it close getting back. It says 4 hours on the page, but it was more like 4.5-5 hours. That meant more snorkeling and water time, but we were a little rush feeling getting back to the port. That said, the crew made sure we got back in time when we let them know.

Crystal clear water with a wonderful guide! This trip is well worth it and we would definitely do it again. You will not be disappointed!

While cruising with Royal Caribbean, my favorite excursion was the exploration of Cenote’s in Mexico; I’ve discovered an even better excursion- El Cielo Reef in Cozumel. “El Cielo reef by Catamaran Cozumel Tours” provides one of the best excursions in Mexico. The excursion visited three spectacular sites; turtle, starfish, and stingray, all were beautiful. The crew was very helpful and friendly, providing drinks, snacks and all necessary snorkeling equipment. I should also add that excursion round trip transportation by taxi not expensive; taking you directly to the catamaran. This particular excursion is a must do.

Had a great time! The crew was awesome and friendly and the snorkeling was super cool. Got to see some starfish and loved it! A little wavy on our way out there, made me a bit nervous but it was completely fine was we jumped in and started snorkeling. The snacks and drinks were great too!!

We did not expect the quality and were very pleased with how the snorkeling tour turned out, even my wife that does not swim thoroughly enjoyed the trip on the catamaran and the service provided! The 4 gentlemen did an excellent job! My daughter and I experienced a great time of snorkeling that ended at El Cielo with all 3 stops seeing a lot of sea life. We stoped for our relajarse or siesta in the water where they even maneuvered the boat up to a sand bar where my wife could get out and enjoy the time along with some of the best ceviche and melon we have ever had! My only point to be made clear is understand that the tall drinks given at the Tortugas Beach Bar are not free and have what I thought was a hefty price to be paid for upon your return ($14-$15 a piece, maybe this is their part for letting the tour operate from here I don’t know, just like to know these things up front especially when you are told the price for the trip is all inclusive and then give a big tip at the end and may not have brought a whole lot extra only expecting to just have to pay for a taxi back to the Hotel.

We booked this tour as we saw price was cheap but later on i regretted i didn't do my search right. First the beach club is rocky as hell, there is barely a beach and its sitting right next to the restaurant and you get all the steam from the kitchen. We paid a catamaran tour and a boat was given due to the catamaran being on an emergency maintenance. The staff is nice but there is No pool, the tortugas club really was not a beach club. We felt we just wasted my money here.

Terrific time! Guides were fun, good views snorkeling and relaxing in the sun and waves. My whole party loved it.

The trip is very comfortable, the use of sunblock by marine fauna is not allowed Wear clothing with sun protection, so wear the snorkeling equipment they provide or you can wear your own. Good experience!!!
