We’ll visit some of the most amazing reef locations on the island of Cozumel, including a green turtle sanctuary where we can snorkel alongside peacefully in their natural habitat. We also visit ‘El Cielo’ (‘Heaven’) - an incredible natural starfish sanctuary, filled with many bright red & orange starfish on pristine white sands. Towards the end of the tour, we’ll move on to Cielito, or ‘Little Heaven’. This is a natural sandbank in crystal clear water, where we can simply relax and enjoy freshly prepared snacks and drinks before cruising back to port with the sunset. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your sailing time. All times shown are for Cozumel’s local timezone, which may differ to your cruise ship timezone. Check before booking. Please do not apply sunscreen immediately before or during the tour; 'reef safe' or 'coral safe' sunscreens only minimise damage to our reef systems and are not proven to be completely harmless to aquatic life. Many sunscreens can also create slippery surfaces which can pose a hazard on our boats. As an alternative, we recommend using a long sleeve rash vest and hat.
Great snorkeling experience! Arrived at Cozumel on a cruise ship, Cozumel Snorkeling was very clear on meeting place instructions and pickup was summer smooth. 4 different stops, saw lots of fish, swimming sea turtles, a baby shark, starfish, and stingrays. Super patient with less experienced snorkelers, looked after them and ensured they had a great experience. Highly recommended!
I recommend anyone going to Cozumel to take this snorkeling trip. The entire crew was friendly and engaging. They made sure everyone had a good time. Snorkeling equipment is provided and is in good order. The trip was long enough but didn’t take up an entire day. We went to three different sites and saw large schools of fish, turtles, nurse sharks, and sting rays. The lunch and coctails on the surfboard in the water was a perfect way to end the trip. Full disclosure – the “luxury catamaran” is a colorful description. The boat is not new, but it’s clean and charming.

This is an amazing trip with 4 different locations to see a wide variety of the sea life. First stop was snorkelling in a deep area within the reef with numerous colourful fish and also a small shark. The next stop was snorkeling to see turtles. Only 1 turtle was found but again the fish were amazing. Third stop was a shallow area with starfish and then on to a beach where we just waded in the water while stingrays swam around us and occasionally bumped into us. To top that off we then had rum punch or Marguerite’s on the way back. The guys running the event were amazing! Very helpful in finding and pointing out the fish etc. We also had a photographer on board who took great photos of us snorkelling and diving down to the fish etc.
We did the trip on Oct 27, 2026 It was very well organized from the get go. Meeting spot in cozumel was easy to find. We went to 3 snorkeling sites and seen turtles, starfish, baby sharks, stingrays. The staff was great. Went out of their way to make sure we were all comfortable. They assisted my wife who needed extra help into the waters. Salsa lunch was served in the 3 ft water on a large surf board. Approx 20 people on the catamaran so wasn't crowded. Beer, tequila and other drinks were all included. Would definitely recommend

Had a great time on our Snorkelling trip. The crew David, Caesar, Rafael & Captain Pork Chop, were wonderful and friendly. Even helped my husband work his new face mask that he brought. We had an amazing afternoon on the Poseidon with David, Pork chop, Rafa and Cesar. The tour is great value for money. We saw turtles, starfish, sharks, loads of fish and got super close to some sting rays. Great way to end our time in Quintana Roo.
They are really good at safety and they guide you well. The activities are diverse and well times. Raphael was very amazing at taking picturing and making the experience feel magical. David was amazing at making sure everyone was safe. Overall amazing!!!
Captain pork chop and crew of the Poseidon were great!!!! We had great snorkel stops and the shallow stop at the end with stingrays was perfect! Snack and drinks were great! Picture guys was the best and we have so any amazing pictures!!!!!! Thank again Cozumel snorkel center for a great excursion!!!!!!
What an amazing experience! Obviously with wildlife, it can be hit or miss and we get that. But that being said, we were able to see sharks, absolutely massive schools of tropical fish, sea turtles, starfish, sting rays... and the lunch at the end was fantastic. The boat is great and the staff is top notch. Probably could use an upgrade in the masks and snorkels as they are very basic, but this is a small niggle as they are completely workable. I would wholeheartedly recommend this excursion! Easy to get to from SSA terminal where Royal Caribbean docks (and by the sounds of it the other terminal was easy as well). Jumped on the catamaran and we were off. Great work, team!
The Captain and staff aboard the Poisidon catamaran were super nice, friendly and funny. I was hoping to see more sea turtles but our time down under only revealed 1 small and 1 medium size sea turtle. Saw lots of fish, lots of starfish fish, coral and a few of us saw a nurse shark, 1 Lobster and rays. The snack provided at the sand bar stop with guacamole, pico and cerviche was delicious but we did not find the margaritas or rum punch too tasty - not enough alcohol and watered down. A neat surprise at the sandbar were a few beautiful graceful harmless rays swimming around us which our photographer captured on underwater camera with different groups of people in them. He was busy getting video and photos and we did buy a photo package but found the process to decide and purchase on board at end of cruise when they were approaching our dock and at the dock too difficult in the sun without our regular glasses on . Plus we were holding up the boat leaving to drop others off. I would have liked to have been provided a QR code link as the offered to leave a review for the excursion in which we could have viewed the pics without a crunch for time and when not in direct sunlight and order in a more user-friendly way - especially because we did not bring wallets or credit cards and only enough money for gratuity and $5pp dock fee from our resort plus $10pp marine fee.

We had the most amazing experience on the Poseidon with David, Porcho, Peter, Caesar, and Rafa! They were incredibly attentive and made the whole experience unforgettable. We mentioned my husband’s birthday when booking, without expecting anything, and they surprised him with a birthday cake, tequila shots, and a beer shower! The whole crew was amazing!! David, pork chop, Cesar, Raphael, Peter….. all were fantastic!! We saw sea turtles, sting rays, starfish, tons of beautiful fish!!! The food was amazing too! My kids had a blast, they are 10 and 12. The photographer was amazing too!! Leave your phone, have a blast, buy the photos!! Worth it!

It was very stormy morning, and the usual places on the south side of the island were closed due to the weather. The team the best they could to come up with other spots along the coast where we saw a good deal of fish. They kept us informed to what was going on and where we were going. The one complaint we did have is the contact we were meeting was not at the meeting place and we weren’t informed of the change in meeting spot. Yes, it was a rainy day there’s no shelter over by the usual meeting point. We wandered in the rain for 15 minutes until a nice taxi driver gave us his to call only to find out we were just on the other side of the street from the contact we were supposed to meet.
DO NOT SKIP THIS TOUR. We had an amazing time on the catamaran snorkeling trip with Cozumel Snorkeling Center! All four stops were fantastic, and we saw so much wildlife, including turtles, sharks, stingrays, and lots of colorful fish. Enjoying complimentary drinks and ceviche at the sandbar was the perfect way to top it off. Such a fun experience and a highlight of our visit to Cozumel. Highly recommend!

The Best Day!! Even though the weather was iffy they did a great job! They were so fun, made sure everyone was having a good time, and we saw so much! Turtles, fish, stingrays, and baby sharks. Cannot recommend enough!! And didn’t realize it was included but fresh ceviche, guacamole, and pico with margaritas served at the beach in the water! Would rebook again! Baby turtle doesn’t let you go thirsty!😂

Absolutely the best day of our 7 day cruise. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and funny. They seem to truly enjoy their job. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time and had an amazing time.
The trip was wonderful. The photographer was really great at capturing photos of you with the fish. You end up going to 4 different beaches. 3 for seeing the fish, turtles, and starfish, and a final sandbar to eat chips with ceviche and guacamole on a paddle board with stingrays swimming around. Such a great experience. Would totally do it again. If you’re scared of open water or the ocean in general, there are so many people and the water isn’t that deep that it was not a fearful experience at all.
Fun snorkeling experience topped off with a visit to the stingrays, who seemed to enjoy swimming amongst us and weren’t afraid to touch us, either. The snacks and beverages were nothing to write home about. The snorkeling equipment was new and well cleaned. The guides were very nice. I was expecting more turtles, though.
The crew was very professional, fun and nice. Several places to get picked up from. Even though the water was a little choppy, the catamaran handled it well, and the water was still very clear. We enjoyed the snorkeling thoroughly, saw turtles, a barracuda, tons of fish, beautiful coral, and a bunch of rays at the last stop. The pictures from Rafa are amazing. Do not hesitate to book this excursion.

"Luxury" pays for more room, instead of a small boat- which means smoother ride, and for the snacks and drinks which we thought was worth it. They will ask for and additional $10usd/$200pesos per person at dock, for gratuities at the end, and for optional purchase of photos. Spent a good amount of time at each spot and our snorkel guide Leo was great at pointing out sea life so we wouldn't miss it (saw baby shark, sea turtle, giant lobster, star fish, manta rays). We didn't drink alcohol but they offered margaritas, rum punch, and beer at the last stop (playa El Cielo sandbar). They prepared a plate of delicious ceviche with fresh guacamole for everyone and had fresh fruit. The ride back was a little lengthy as they slow down to ask for tips and allow the photographer to sell his photos. Crew was fun and friendly (Captain Chuleta, Chef Turtle, Guide Leo, & Photographer Rafael). Tour was closer to 5hrs total.

Excellent! The guides are competent, friendly and knowledgeable. They modified the experience to a lot of different skill levels. They were respectful to all the sea animals and made sure the group was as well. The photographer was skillful and kind! The food was delicious!

Swam with turtles and stingrays, drinks provided with a strong rum punch 🤜🏻 food delivered on a surf board table while in the water really stood out, Peter cesar, Mike and Rafeal looked after all of us. Last week we booked the snorkeling tour in the morning for the luxury catamaran. We enjoyed it so much that we booked the same trip a few days later! The boat is lovely, the team was great (Pedro, baby turtle!) and the stop offs are fantastic with a good amount of time for swimming about. We seen nurse sharks, starfish, sting rays and multiple turtles! Also highly recommend the amazing photos shot by Rafael! Drinks and food onboard are excellent as well! Will definitely go on this tour again when back in Mexico!
If I can use only a word to describe our experience will be excellence!! The whole crew very professional Peter, Leo, Baby Turtle,and Captain David. The booking was easy and the point of reunion to join the boat was well described and the personnel were waiting for all the participants. On boat, the crew take well care of all, we were provided with life jackets, the equipment for snorkeling. In the water, they always were very attentive to all, if someone need help! The crew is very knowledgeable in all the areas we visited! They proved a “snack” homemade ceviche, guacamole, pico de gallo drinks, fruit. Everything delicious!!! We really enjoyed our trip !! They even tele care of our pictures!!! I highly recommend this trip trough Cozumel Snorkel Center!!
